Chapter 9: Understanding A Monster.

Can you befriend one?

-(Ozpin's Tower, Beacon Academy)-

(Third-Person View)

The way over to Ozpin's Office was both awkward and unnerving with Professor Goodwitch leading both of them. Even through her calm and focused demeanor at the moment, the others could sense some sort of tensity the more they focused on her. They were unsure if she was either tensed up due to her frustrations still lingering, or the fact all of them need to confront Ozpin about what just happened without riling things up. Regardless, they reached the elevator to the tower, where his office was located in, and silently rode their way to the top. Both the team leaders, Ruby and Jaune, were the most nervous out of everyone because of their positions to take responsibilities they and their teams were involved in. Mainly for Ruby towards her sister Yang.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, with Jaune already drained of all confidence, Glynda was the first to step out first and waited for everyone to walk out while standing next to the door to his office. Ruby stepped forward with her team following as Jaune was practically pushed out of the elevator by his team. The door was opened when Jaune was finally out and the elevator doors closed, allowing all of them to walk into the spacious room where Ozpin and his desk were on the opposite side of where they entered. The screen above his desk was currently looping of the academy's crest as the room remained silent except for their footsteps.

"Team RWBY. Team JNPR." Ozpin started as he looked up at all eight of them while Glynda stood at their side. "I was expecting all of you."

"Are we in trouble?!" Jaune asked in a shaky and concerned tone immediately.

Ozpin didn't give a clear answer by staying silent on his question and continued where he left off. "I heard about what happened in the amphitheater and in front of Beacon. Are all of you alright?"

"We're okay…" Ruby answered as she wasn't expecting him to ask for their status first. "And…yeah. Words can't be put to show how sorry we are about all this."

He clasped his hands together on his coffee mug and let out a small exhale from his nose. "Save your apologies to a certain someone who very well deserves it more than I do."

"I understand."

"I'm not angry whatsoever. Just shocked. This was something we did NOT expect to happen when Wyvern arrived in Beacon." He continued while casually sipping his coffee.

"But are we in trouble though…?" Jaune repeated as he clearly wanted an answer, hoping it wasn't too bad.

"Not exactly." He spoke out the first bit of good news for them. "But this clearly made our impressions on all of you a bit…troubled due to the situation and the importance of Wyvern being here."

Yang bit her lip and gave a wry smile. "Sooooo, we're in half-trouble…?"

He nodded. "I suppose that's one way of putting it."

Glynda shifted her eyes away and shook her head. "Normally, that would be an understatement for me. But since Ozpin thinks it isn't too bad, then maybe I can let it go a little bit."

"I see Isaac still hasn't convinced you."

"Forgive me. It's just my position in all of this. You know how important my role is…"

"We all play an important role in this. But I understand how you feel." Ozpin assured her while looking over at her, then turning back to the teams. "You've seen it all, I assume? After relaying Professor Nao."

All of them nodded at the same time to verify they had witnessed everything. From being subjected to Wyvern's eye, seeing him transform into…something they have never seen before, and the sheer brutality of him fighting off Roman and his gang. Not to mention the evidence Blake collected and showed about her time in the White Fang and the incident involving Qrow. Even the time he killed the White Fang agents when he was a child.

"Wyvern can explain more on the traumatizing killings to all of you whenever he feels comfortable. As for Qrow Branwen," He looked over at Ruby and Yang, "all I can confirm is Wyvern and Qrow are on good terms. There is nothing bad going on between them to the point where they would go after each other's lives. Maybe I can leave that explanation to Wyvern as well, since the both of you are Qrow's nieces."

"We understand." Ruby nodded as she was still relieved to hear that with Yang. "But there's more about him we don't know…"

Yang nodded. "Yeah. What about what we saw in him? The wings? Horns? Everything."

"Professor Nao said something about 'zhulongs', right?" Pyrrha asked as she remembered.

"Of course. That's exactly why I was expecting all of you to come up here. To show you all about them." Ozpin corrected his glasses while typing on his computer. As soon as one last click of a button was hit, the overhead screen behind him activated and displayed what his screen was mirroring. It was a fully rendered photo of Wyvern in the same form they have just witnessed a while ago. Except this version of him was in a much more feral and twisted form compared to the previous one. Glowing blue veins on the right side of the face, forming out of his blue eye. And the other being red glowing veins from, of course, his red eye. However, it almost seemed as if the red was consuming the majority of his face more than the blue. As if corrupting him.

Ruby jolted and cringed upon seeing the photo. "Oh my God…"

"Zhulongs. Also known as 'The Eclipsed Race'." He stated while two more photos popped up on screen, showing more of these "Zhulongs" to the two teams who are now getting more of their questions answered.

One photo was a girl in her late teens roaring out a wave of icy breath towards a Grimm Beowolf, succumbing to the violent effects of it. The girl had VERY fair skin, snow white hair with blue-silver highlights and violet eyes, wearing a white winter overcoat with an above-knee skirt that had some fuzzy animal fur, and pantyhose that were stylized with snowflakes and stars. Her strapped combat boots also had some blood on the stiletto, which turns out to be a hidden weapon she used to fight the Grimm. But her main weapon was that of an excessively long Katana-like sword.

The other picture was that of a mildly tanned male zhulong with dark red hair, yellow eyes, wearing a maroon and burgundy flannel and combat pants strapped with a bandolier of arrow bolts. He had much larger horns and wings while breathing out fire out of his mouth at an Ursa, scorching it alive. On his right hand was a tomahawk, and his other held what appears to be the same as the tomahawk but transformed into a small repeating crossbow, which explains the bolts.

"As you can see, the first assumption would be that they almost seem similar to the faunus. However, according to our scientists led by Professor Nao, that's not the case. The aura, semblances, and genetics that the Zhulongs possess is not even close to matching those of a human or faunus – with a matching result reaching only at around 7%. Excessively low compared to the matching results between a human and faunus, reaching approximately 80% or more. Unfortunately, that is one of the only few things we know in regards to their anatomy and ancestry. They're a special hidden race of Remnant that has kept their existence in secret due to their endangered status back even before the Great War. Maybe even longer." Ozpin explained.

"So, we just witnessed an unknown race of…whatever they're classified as…fighting in their true form besides mimicking the looks of a human?" Pyrrha asked.

Glynda nodded and set her scroll next to her side. "Actually, the eight of you are the only ones who has seen him in this form besides us and everyone else who's involved in Wyvern."

"But that's not all when it comes to the TRUE form of a zhulong. This is what they really look like."

As soon as Ozpin finished that sentence, the screen above him which displayed the three zhulongs; Wyvern included, switched from their human-like form they seen first, to a full-on non-human. Dragons. Their height reaching up to four meters (thirteen feet), their horn and wingspan matching up to them from the previous image but much larger, scales with the girl having some fuzzy fur on some parts of her zhulong form due to her classification as an Ice Zhulong, and their powerful elemental breathing in action on more Grimm targets. They were clearly more inhuman compared to how they see Wyvern.

"Wyvern is a Zhulong. And this is what he really looks like under the form you're all familiar with." Ozpin told them as he expected their reactions. Shocked. "Now, please do not assume these creatures are all out there to cause mayhem and destruction of humanity. They are simply like us – trying to survive and live their lives like we do."

"Zhulongs are huge…" Nora commented as she scanned her eyes on the screen. "Is that how big they can only reach?"

"Not at all. These are Zhulongs reaching into their teen stage. Pre-Adultery and further on, they get larger depending on their breed and genetics." Glynda answered.

"Good God…" Nora gulped as she could only imagine how big are they talking.

"You said they're harmless though, right?" Jaune asked while shaking just a little bit.

"They are. Only if you don't provoke them, which they will not be afraid to defend themselves." Glynda added while shifting her eyes at Yang. "I'm surprised you're still unharmed or even alive, after being the first girl to punch a zhulong like that."

Yang sighed as she sheepishly looked away while scratching her head. "I know, I know. I already feel worse about it as it is."

"But where are they from?" Weiss asked. "Are they hidden in society? Is there more than one besides Wyvern in Beacon?

"Zhulongs are all native to Doraegon. This continent." Ozpin zoomed in on the map of Remnant, focusing on a continent shaped like a dragon. "As for if they're within our society, I am not one-hundred percent sure. However, almost all the Zhulongs we know strictly stay in Doraegon. Today, the continent is now known as The Drahën Empire; a constitutional monarchy run by the Zhulong Order, led by their Emperor and Empress who are also Greater Zhulongs."

"Is Wyvern a part of this "Zhulong Order" you mentioned?" Ruby asked.

He nodded and clasped his hands together as if he was holding back something. "All you need to know is Wyvern's parents are one of the most zealous members of the Order and are willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of the Empire and their son. And I'm sure Wyvern holds that dedication as well."

"So, Zhulongs are the most secretive race out there that holds a pretty terrifying amount of power while falling under one order and an empire. And we just met a member of the pact?" Jaune reiterated. "I don't know if I should be terrified or…honored? I-Is that a good word for it?"

Weiss looked up at the map and saw the southwest and northwest parts of Solitas, her home continent, reaching near Doraegon's northeast. "All these years, and we didn't hear anything about the Zhulong Order. Looks like we don't know everything about them after all."

Blake shifted her eyes are her and raised an eyebrow. "I know the hostilities between the Drahën Empire and Atlas. But…have both sides considered to at least have some talks with each other?"

"I'm afraid that's not happening, according to the Zhulong Order." Glynda stated. "If any of the leaders of Atlas, especially Ironwood and Jacques, find out about the existence of Zhulongs, it may cause some controversy. Getting your hands on Zhulongs to study and develop a more powerful being for their military or personal gain isn't too farfetched. Nor is an Atlasian heir or heiress trying to find a suitor who is a Zhulong, only using them as trophies to gain some offspring. Hence why the Empire refuses to directly speak to them."

"Hold on. Can Zhulongs…you know…with humans and faunus?" Nora asked, which made all of Team RWBY and JNPR turn their heads at her. "What? I can't be the only one wondering that!"

Glynda embarrassingly cleared her throat. "They…can. There have been some instances of humans and faunuses that has had relationships and children with zhulongs. Of course, performing that sort of intercourse is only done through their more "human-like" form."

"Thank God for that…" Yang cringed at the thought of the opposite way.

Ruby raised her hand as a way she wanted to speak next. "Well, was there anything else we should know about Wyvern as a zhulong?"

"Wyvern is a crossbreed between a Volt Zhulong; his father, and a Void Zhulong; his mother. The latter being one of the most mysterious types of zhulong we could never decipher to our knowledge." Glynda told them before asking Ozpin to switch the images back to Wyvern in his more normal state. "The Void Zhulong side he has kept since his birth is covered by an eyepatch. It's usually not dangerous when he's not using it. But…it's twisted when he is."

For the person who was the first to remove it, Weiss shook a little after remembering how their bodies and aura felt completely suspended when it was active. "And he DID use it back in the amphitheater."

"Probably because he was provoked by all of us when we forced it." Yang said. "And my punching…"

"It's believed that eye is what's wrong with his mental state." Glynda said. "His mother is a nice woman. But the Void Zhulong abilities she possesses is one of the most disturbing and abnormal semblances for the zhulongs. Something we have never encountered in history." She told them with a stern expression as if she wanted to ensure they don't aggravate Wyvern's Void side again.

"So, what if it isn't the eye? What's wrong with him? Mentally." Yang asked bluntly.

Ozpin shook his head and leaned back against his chair. "I can't tell you, because even I don't know. Ostanes has always been secretive in that subject, no matter how much I try to persuade him to tell me so. Since he's gone now, I'm afraid it's up to us to find out."

Ruby raised an eyebrow at this and stepped forward. "You'd think Wyvern would know."

"He doesn't know either." He said, "His doctors concluded it was just some mental problems like bipolar disorder. But reading the reports and his medical history, something tells me there's more to it."

Lots of doubt engulfed Ruby's head, along with the others. After finding out what he was capable of and experiencing his unintentional attack against them, they seemed to believe Ozpin was correct about being skeptical about his diagnosis of being bipolar. It was something bigger than that. Something that seemed more twisted…

Glynda stepped forward and folded her arms, "Now that you know all of this, let it be a lesson to be more considerate around Wyvern. The last thing you want to do is make him do something he will regret."

"If we're going to apologize, do you think he'll forgive us that easily? Because I doubt it…" Jaune said as he was being more realistic about the outcome.

"Again, that is all up to Wyvern. If he refuses to talk to any of you, respect his decision and just leave him be." Glynda said and looked out the window where the staff dorms were seen below. "But I wouldn't easily assume he will just reject you like that. He does tend to be a forgiving person. Even towards his enemies sometimes, based on what his Master told me. Since you aren't his "enemies" (hopefully…), it should be easier for all of you. My advice is to just be honest and genuine about all this."

Yang sighed and looked at her right hand she used to punch him. "So that means no excuses, even if I couldn't control myself"

"Exactly. At least acknowledge you didn't mean to go that far."

"Before you're all excused," Ozpin began, "I just want all of you to know to please take this matter seriously. Everything that has been stated in this room NEVER leaves. The existence of Zhulongs, Wyvern's health, everything. This is for the sake of not only Wyvern, but all of you. All this sort of information has been strictly safeguarded between all of those who work closely with Wyvern and his Master. If any of you leak any of this, you'll be forced to be at the center of it all. And I highly recommend it doesn't come to that. Do I make myself clear?"

Team RWBY and JNPR nodded at the same time, acknowledging the strict rules given to them.

"Thank you." He nodded his head back at all of them.

Jaune looked over at Ruby and gave a small nod. "I…guess we better get to it then."

Ruby gave a light smile to remain confident about this. "Yeah. Better to do it sooner than later while he's still in the room." She said and turned back to Ozpin. "We'll be back then. Wish us luck."

Ozpin gave a brief smirk and just nodded his head back. "You won't need any luck."

-(Wyvern's Dorm, Beacon Academy)-

After cleaning his armor, clothes, and swords that were stained with blood from his own and those he killed, he went over to the medicine cabinet in the bathroom to replace his bandage patch on his eye. It needed a replacement as the blood was already penetrating through it. The use of his eye and Yang assaulting him was the main cause and a terrible combination. Especially from the force of her strength and her gauntlet's concussion blast without using any live rounds. Thankfully.

Wyvern gritted his teeth in pain as he was cleaning the wound with water, then a tiny bit of alcohol on the lower left of the eye, which had a gash. "Shit…least I have another reason to wear an eyepatch…" He joked to himself to lighten up the mood but failed due to the shame from the events earlier. With his new friends witnessing his wicked side and capability of killing others easily, how were they going to take this and see him as from now on? Giving it more thought made him cringe and tried to drop it. What he had to focus on was fixing himself up. It took only three minutes for him to finish cleaning his injured eye before applying a new cotton bandage on his eye, taping it and covering it entirely.

Finished cleaning and patching himself up, he thought it would be a good time to create a personal log in order to get some things off his chest. Plus at least having something to do instead of coping in silence. He opened his computer and enabled its camera, showing him in his poor state again like in the bathroom mirror. After some adjustments being done, he hit record and gave the most forced and fake smile out of habit.

"Personal Log: Beacon. Day 2." He began and let out a loud sigh while rubbing his temples. "It's the second day and I'm already in a worst start than yesterday. My friends ended up getting suspicious about who I was and my actions from the past, because of Blake's information back when she was a White Fang operative. I got assaulted from the blonde girl, used my Void Semblances, and now had to show my origins that was strictly to be kept secret by others. Still, I don't understand why Ozpin would give the green light on that one. Even when Ruby and the others were there." Wyvern clenched his fists tightly and noticed he still had dried blood on his fingernails, not knowing if it was his or his opponents. "After what they saw, they probably think I'm a monster. Single-handedly ripping through a group of gangsters with no mercy is probably still considered brutal to some. But seeing their leader in that much of a vulnerable state, it felt like I…it felt…good…No! Deep down, it felt wrong! Disgusting!" He raised his tone to himself to remember the standards he was taught. "It shouldn't even feel that way. Why has it always been this way?! Feeling good about killing other human beings is…it shouldn't give me that much of any sort of pleasure! But I did put him out of his misery. At least I didn't toy with him further to let him suffer even more…"

Because of these conflicting emotions and trying to either persuade or justify his actions to remain good, he let out a chuckle to try and ease the pain and cope.

"Look at me. Trying to cover it all up. It's not like the bandage in my eye. What I've done is not going to easily heal me. But it's also not going to heal the others. I'm ashamed and pathetic for trying to reassure something that is already been proven. A Monster. That's what I am. And my friends have seen enough to judge for themselves…"

With that, Wyvern stopped his recording as he was unable to keep it up any further. Holding back his anger or sadness, he stood up and headed to the kitchen to grab a bite of the cookies; halfway gone because of Ruby yesterday. A lot of doubts clouded his mind that everything would be fixed the next day. To avoid thinking about any negative thoughts, he continued to munch on the cookies to try and find any sort of happiness from the sweetness.

The room was completely silent except for the sound of his chewing. Not wanting to just sit in place while eating, Wyvern just began to pace around his dorm from the kitchen, living room, and sometimes towards the balcony. All he could think about while eating was how he should handle tomorrow towards Ruby and the others. What if word and rumors spread out about his true side and what he did in front of Beacon, killing Roman and his guards almost cold-bloodedly without any sort of hesitation. His status as an ordinary student would soon turn into a ruthless killer for both Grimm and other people. Something he wasn't comfortable being labeled as both glorified and condemned by other students.

Silence was soon broken as Wyvern stopped near the entrance to hear footsteps approaching his dorm. There was still no knock on the door as soon as it stopped in front of it. He assumed it was just staff, considering this dorm building was strictly for Professors and other staff members. But the moment he opened the door, he was proven wrong.

There was Ruby, standing there with her hand raised as if she was about to knock on his door. She jolted in surprise as she wasn't expecting Wyvern to open at such a perfect moment. While she gave a nervous smile, Wyvern frowned and closed the door a little bit as if he was hiding his left eye that was bandaged. But it was too late.

Yang's face twitched a bit as soon as she saw it. Deep down, she felt even worse as she assumed her punch caused even more significant damage than she thought. "God damnit…" She said inaudibly from her mouth where nobody would hear her.

"Wyvern?" Pyrrha started the conversation to break the awkward silence. "Is…is it a good time to have a word with you?"

He shifted his eyes away and sighed, not wanting to be seen like this. "About what exactly…?"

"We're not only here because of Ozpin. It's just-"

"Go ahead." He interrupted them and bowed his head shamefully. "Everything you saw me do in front of all of you, it was horrible." He frowned while closing the door even further. "A Hunter probably shouldn't even be doing that when they're supposed to protect people, as they all say. Especially killing all of them without remorse…"

Blake shook her head. "It wasn't…horrible. You were there simply to protect Beacon with us and fought back once you were provoked."

Wyvern shook his head and gave a dry and weak smile. "You don't need to sugarcoat it, Blake. You're the last person who should be doing that after finding out what I did to your brothers and sisters in the White Fang back then."

"I'm not…that's not how it is." She bit her lip as she tried to persuade him not to think he was all bad. "Wyvern, I know for a fact you've grown and admit your regrets. I'm sure you're not as bad as you think you are."

"Exactly." Ren nodded. "Those gangsters were out there to hurt others and you stepped in to prevent that from happening."

"Even so, I didn't want to show that side to anybody because I'm afraid it'll change their perspective on me." He told them and scanned his eye on each of them. "How many students know now?"

"None." Jaune answered. "We didn't tell anybody else. I can assure you that."

"Plus, even if we wanted to, Professor Goodwitch and Professor Nao would've stopped us from going any further." Nora said.

Weiss shrugged her shoulders and scratched her head. "In addition to that, who would easily believe us? But we can assure you we won't tell a soul."

Ruby stepped forward and gripped her own wrist tightly. "What all of us are saying is this: We're sorry about what happened today. I know it's not much to pay back for accusing you of being someone with bad intentions here. But…maybe we can start all over with all this properly?"

Wyvern was at a loss for words and just blankly stared back at Ruby and to the others. "After what you saw me do to Roman and Neo? And their guards?"

"It was…brutal, to say the least. But it was clearly out of self-defense as they were mainly there for you. And a fight was unavoidable, especially towards a money hungry guy like Roman."

"Well, that. And…me being a-"

"Zhulong." She nodded. "We don't know too much about your kind, but Ozpin at least gave us some insight into them. But whatever you are, whether it is human, faunus, or something, it doesn't matter."

Yang was next to step forward as she was the one that caused the most physical damage. "And I'm sorry too. About that punch and your eye… If you're wondering what caused me to go berserk, I have this obsession with my hair…" She grinned sheepishly. "Can't seem to control myself when someone cuts it. Intentionally or on accident."

With that apology, Wyvern at least eased up a little bit. But was now cautious about touching her hair from now on after hearing her reason. "Well, it's alright. It'll heal on its own."

"Even if it will, I still wanted to say it." She spread her arms and gave the most welcoming smile. "Hug it out?"

"…maybe later…" He grinned nervously, actually scared of touching her hair now.

"Oooofff…friendzoned." Nora joked.

"That's not what I was aiming for." Yang blushed and glared back at her.

Jaune chuckled but went back to a more serious look at Wyvern. "Again, me and my team would like to say sorry too. We should've backed you up and gave you a chance. But instead, we just joined in on the mob after jumping to conclusions."

Weiss frowned and looked directly at Wyvern's bandaged eye. "How is your eye holding up, at least?"

"Still throbbing. But…at least I have a reason to wear my eyepatch now, right?" He chuckled weakly.

She shook her head as she didn't find it that funny, considering he was hurt. "We just came here to say sorry. If you need more rest, it's more than okay."

"We can leave now, if that's what you want." Ruby said as she turned halfway as if she was about to go. The others followed but were all stopped by Wyvern.

"Hold up." He called up and opened his door widely instead of halfway. "Did you guys have lunch yet…? I can cook us up something for all of us."

Nora was the first to dash towards the front door excitedly. "LUNCH?! That sounds awesome! What are we having?!" She asked while she jittered up and down.

"Does beef goulash sound good?" He asked.

All of Team RWBY and JNPR stared back at Wyvern and almost had their stomachs growl in sequence after he mentioned the dish he could prepare for them. This actually made Wyvern laugh loudly as the timing was absolutely perfect. Seeing him this happy again was enough to make the gang laugh back along with him. And with that, Wyvern moved out of the way to let them inside his private dorm, which was more than enough room for all nine of them.

Wyvern made sure to move his armor and clothes he used for combat earlier someplace hidden where they wouldn't get in the way and possibly smell leftover blood and dust. Looking back at the group, Team RWBY were mainly seated on the couch with Yang exploring the channels on the television. Pyrrha and Jaune were looking at the good view from the balcony, which showed the courtyards, gardens, and the rest of the main campus where it was nearly empty. As for Ren and Nora, both were in the kitchen with Nora exploring what kind of snacks were in the cabinets, and Ren looking at the kitchenware while impressed at the quality of them. After being in the room alone by himself, it was now much more lively having his new friends over.

Deciding to prepare for cooking the goulash, Wyvern stretched his arms before taking out a large pot and cutting board near the stove. Next, he opened the fridge to find carrots, potatoes, and other needed vegetables along with an unopened tri-tip beef; bringing them out and placing them next to the cutting board.

Blake looked back to see him prepping everything and stood up, heading to the kitchen. "Wyvern. You don't have a problem cooking by yourself? I can give you a hand." She said while walking around to find an apron she could use.

"I insist. Go ahead and relax with the others. In my country's tradition, when guests enter an owner's residence, the owner cooks the meals by themselves for the guests." Wyvern told her as he tossed a knife in the air and landed it on the cutting board neatly.

Blake smiled a bit at his hospitality and shook her head. "At least let me help do something to pay you back then. I can wash the vegetables or something."

"Well, since you really want to, you can wash and cut the vegetables first. I'll cut the beef in another board." He said while looking for a pan and some seasonings.

Nora peeked in from the balcony door and tilted her head. "You're a cook, Wyvern?"

"Ehhh…not really. I only know how to cook five dishes because of my mom. Not counting when I'm cooking out in the wild." He answered while cutting the beef.

"Wow. You'll make a good wife for someone one day." Yang joked and snickered.

"A better one than you will in the future." He smirked with a comeback.

She pouted and tilted her head. "Hey, now. That wasn't very nice."

"Honesty doesn't always have to be nice." He shrugged.

"Ass." She chuckled. "Jokes aside, you sure you're okay with cooking with only one eye?"

He nodded optimistically and twirled the kitchen knife around. "I'm all good. You'd be surprised how much I'm used to it by now."

Jaune kept his distance and ducked behind the table as soon as he did that. "Uhh…yeah! Cool! Can you not do that when we're inside the kitchen though?!"

"Sorry." Wyvern set the knife down and went to start cutting the beef. He turned to Blake and said, "When you're done washing and cutting the vegetables, just put them on a plate and I can handle the rest."

Blake nodded as she was starting with the onions already, trying to fight the urge to tear up due to cutting them. "Got it…"

"Well, that's a great way to bond with your new friend." Ruby chuckled while watching both of them prep the goulash. "It's still hard to believe you know Blake a little bit."

"I also know about her because of her OnlyFaunus account." Wyvern joked.

Blake's eyes shot open widely and turned over to him, still having some tears from the onions. "WHAT?! I WOULD NEVER MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THAT!" She exclaimed.

Yang busted out laughing as she looked over at her teammate with a teasing smirk. "Come on. You do have the cake for it~!"

"Don't talk about my butt while I'm in the middle of making lunch!" She blushed hard while trying to keep her head in the game while preparing the ingredients.

Upon Yang mentioning that, Wyvern curiously took a peek back at Blake's behind to-

*BAM!*

Weiss glared as she was the one that tossed a sofa pillow to Wyvern's face, not caring about him handling a knife and cutting the meat. "PERVERT!"

"Sorry!" Wyvern blushed and went back to focusing on cutting the beef in appropriate sizes.

"Give it a break, Weiss. Boys will always be curious about that sort of thing." Yang teased both of them.

Growing uncomfortable talking about this even further, Wyvern looked over at all the girls on the couch and cleared his throat. "Anyway…how about some coffee while you guys wait for the food? Sound good?"

"Oooo~!" Yang jumped on her seat excitingly. "Caramel Macchiato for me!"

Ruby shifted her eyes away and shook her head. "I'm good. Already drank some earlier. As for Weiss on the other hand, she definitely would not turn down any offer for coffee." She said while pointing her thumb over at her.

"Well, what kind would you like?"

"Salted-Caramel, if you can make that."

Upon hearing her answer, Wyvern suddenly halted on his meat cutting and blankly stared up at Weiss as if she just said something that offended him. And it seems like she did. "Salted caramel…? That's a crime that should not be forgiven in the history of man." He cringed.

Weiss reacted to this by chortling a little and gave the most fake and intimidating smile after hearing that statement. "What the hell did you just say…?"

"Whoa there, Weiss…" Yang patted her shoulder to cool her down.

"Just make her the coffee, please." Ruby tried not to cause another argument between the two like last time. "Weiss tends to just have a unique taste for a variety of coffees. She even adds a lot of sugar and creamer to her coffee. So, I suggest being generous about it." She mentioned while patting Weiss' other shoulder like Yang.

"What? To hide her bitterness after I said Salted-Caramel is a sin of humanity?" Wyvern mumbled very quietly.

Unfortunately, Weiss heard that and put her foot down as she was clearly not going to stand down on her opinions. "Silence, you! The salt complements the sweetness of the caramel as well as the blend! You clearly lack this sort of sophistication in your tastebuds!"

"Why though? You have enough saltiness in you as it is."

"Why I…how dare you!" Weiss growled.

Ruby groaned as she leaned down against the couch, failing to try and calm them down. "There they go again…"

"Look on the bright side. At least we all got along again." Yang chuckled and leaned back on the sofa.

Ayyyyyeeee! I'm finally back to update this! From now on, I'll try to be working on "Ace Combat: Wild Blue Yonder" , "RWBY: The Recidivist" , and "Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss: Underdog" at the same time.

And I know what you're thinking. Some ideas may sound cliché, but keep in mind this was all outlined and planned back in 2013 when RWBY first came out. And my teenage-self thought it was badass for being a part of this story. But I can't change it back anymore. So, I'll have to stick with it ^^;

And no. I DO NOT regret that OnlyFans pun whatsoever.
