Chapter 13: Getting Comfortable.
Enjoying the luxurious life with the Zhulongs.
-(Royal Palace, Northern Doraegon)-
(Third-Person POV)
Wyvern and Xavior opened the backdoor for the rest of Team RWBY and JNPR to exit out of the main palace. Now at the opposite side of the residence, instead of the vast views of the distant mountain ranges and the lush green forests where the landing pads were, it was now a partly cloudy sight with nothing but the ocean reaching into the horizon. Below the ledge of the foundation the palace stood on was the large garden of hedges, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and ponds that stretched across the entire mesa's diameter. This displayed the family's wealth and dedication into stylizing their property than they already do with the palace's interior and exterior. Deep down, Ruby and the others knew there was more to discover.
Charlotte was in the garden as she was picking off an apple from the tree using her wings for flight, reaching the top where the fruits were riper. She noticed the others on the ledge and proceeding down the stairs, which made her collect even more apples while using a loose part of her dress as an improvised basket. When they reached near her tree, she landed and gave Team RWBY and JNPR a smile. "How was it inside our home?"
"It was…amazing…" Ruby commented as she looked back at the palace. "I don't think we will be able to finish the tour of the entire property in just a single day."
Xavior sighed and looked back at the palace too. "More of like two days or even three."
"Well, you don't have to worry about that. I just showed you guys the important rooms where you might use the most." Wyvern said as he used his cape in order to hold some of the apples his mom held. "Anyone looking into having apple pie for later?"
Nora excitedly nodded as she looked at the batch he carried. "You bet! Well, I'll always say "yes" when sugar and dessert is involved."
"Well, I'll be sure to have the coffee and tea ready when it comes to that." Charlotte chuckled and led them to the residential folly Wyvern stays in, which was in the distance of where they were. "Let's head on in. The others have already set your bags in the rooms you will be staying in."
"And don't worry. My folly is more modest compared to the palace…" Wyvern told them while walking to the front with his mom.
At the other end of the mesa landform pass the gardens, they soon reached Wyvern's folly house. It was stylized like a castle just like the palace, with only one observation tower in the back near the ledge, waving the Drahënese flag. In the center was the entrance into his house, but the left and right led to the balcony encircling around the building. For the rest, there were only a few benches and seats as the exterior seemed simple besides the castle design.
For the interior, however, it was much more decorated and cozier as soon as Wyvern opened the door for them to walk through. The entire folly was one giant room with some skylight windows on the ceiling and ordinary lights that are currently off when it gets darker. All the walls were covered with wood to hide the stoney layer. Except for the center, which was a giant column made of stone that held a fireplace now lit because of Gyo using his fire abilities. Overall, when entering from the front door to the first floor, the corner left closest to the door was a library with shelves holding books from all over Remnant with some seating. The far left closest to the balcony was the main living room with a TV and furniture. For closest right corner was a computer and entertainment section. And the far right near the balcony on the opposite side of the living room was the kitchen.
But that wasn't all. The entire second floor was a U-Shaped deck made of wood that held all the individual bedrooms for guests while Wyvern's was in the center. Outside the bedrooms and bathrooms on the second deck, there were wooden railings instead of walls so others could basically lean over to look down to the first floor. As for everything else, furniture was placed in the most conveniently appropriate spots while the walls were decorated with paintings and hunting trophies.
"Welcome to my house." Wyvern chuckled and bowed formally to all of his friends.
Yang whistled and kept looking around where she stood. "You are one spoiled guy."
"I helped build this place with Master Ostanes back then. Just the two of us." He told her.
"I have to say," Ruby walked forward towards the fireplace while amazed at the interior more than the outside, "this place is just right."
Wyvern looked at the rest and tilted his head. "How about it? Seems better to stay in for the weekend instead of that large palace?"
"Definitely. I would've just got lost in the first hour if we stayed in the main palace anyway…" Jaune said while sheepishly looking away.
The rest of the others nodded their head, unanimously agreeing they would prefer to stay in the folly. With that, Gyo stepped forward and pointed to the second deck and the two sets of stairs.
"Well, alright! All eight of you and Professor Goodwitch have your own individual rooms. Each of your bags are outside the doors to show where all of you will be staying. For the rest of us, we'll be at ease in the main palace." Gyo said before bowing.
"Where's Schnell and Sybille right now?" Weiss asked, mostly excited to see Sybille again.
"Preparing some lunch."
Upon answering that, Sybille peeked from the stone pillar with a ponytail and held a package of cut pork and a kitchen knife. "You guys alright with pork, sausage, and white bean stew?"
"Of course! Anything you make would taste amazing!" Weiss and Jaune said in sync.
Pyrrha snickered and rolled her eyes at the two of them. "I swear, it's going to be hard containing those two with Sybille around."
Wyvern shifted his eyes over to Blake, Ruby, and Yang. "Just try to contain Weiss to avoid making things awkward for her."
Ren rolled his eyes and chuckled as well. "We'll also do the same for Jaune."
"But with everything else aside, feel free to do whatever you want at the moment. My folly home is open to all of you." Wyvern smiled welcomingly while disarming his swords and his armor pieces near the fireplace.
"I'll go check up on Sybille if she needs help." Weiss said while dashing to the kitchen.
Blake sighed and followed her. "Remember, contain yourself."
Stretching her arms and back, Yang looked up at the second deck and pointed at the bathroom. "Mind if I use your shower? That sparring match from this morning had me drenched and I still smell like it."
"Go ahead. We placed your luggage near the room you will be staying in." Xavior said while also disarming himself with his weapon by setting it up next to Wyvern's. "If Professor Goodwitch is still in the front, I'll go check up on her and send her over." He said while heading for the exit.
"She should be. Thanks." Wyvern nodded as he watched all of his friends start to split up to look around his home.
"Sooo…" Gyo started as he was the only one who didn't wander off, "are you aware of what your parents have concluded to work through their schedule with you and your new friends?"
He shook his head and leaned against one of the support beams. "They didn't tell me anything. Please tell me it's nothing too extreme."
"Relax. We cherish our days off from work like you guys with school. Preferably, we wanted to have something more casual." Gyo assured.
"You're one helluva workaholic though. Something tells me you weren't planning on staying long since the thought of doing nothing drives you crazy."
"My parents were quite insistent about having me work today when your parents planned to invite you and your friends over. Plus, I did want to spend some time with you like old times."
Raising his eyebrow, Wyvern gave him a smirk and tilted his head as if he knew what was up. "Looking to test out a new weapon you've invented?"
"So, you still know me after all this time~?!" Gyo nodded with an excited smile back.
"It's only been a few weeks since you two hung out with each other." Schnell said as she was passing by with some new and extra blankets and pillows. She set them down on the couch for a bit and joined in on the conversation. "Anyways, about Ruby and the others. Are they the only students aware of what you are in Beacon?"
Wyvern nodded. "They should be. After all, Ozpin did give the greenlight for me to combat against Roman and his gang the same day they found out. All other students were probably unable to see what was happening from afar, and I had to…kill all witnesses in his gang."
"You killed Torchwick?!" Gyo looked over at him in surprise.
"I had no choice. Look, just remember I don't always enjoy killing people even if they deserve it."
Gyo sighed in relief. "Well, good riddance for me because that bastard has been trying to steal Drahënese equipment for years. Unsuccessfully, mind you."
"And…does Ruby and everyone else still feel comfortable even after witnessing all of that?" Schnell asked with some concern in her voice.
"Their views towards me are probably tainted after seeing what I did." Wyvern frowned as he didn't feel proud or comfortable talking about that. "Ever since then, things between us seemed to have warmed up, which was a surprise. It's as if that day never happened."
"Not to ruin the mood, but…what if they're hiding how uncomfortable they are towards you? Ozpin might have had a word with them about that, hasn't he?" Gyo bit his lip as he had to bring up that possibility.
"If that's the case, then it is what it is, and I can't change that." He answered almost depressingly. "Over time, they might just distance themselves away from me while promising to keep my secret. And I can't blame them."
"Hey now," Gyo patted his shoulder and gave him an optimistic smile, "don't take my word for it. I'm not always right about everything."
"Especially towards the calculations and results of your weapons tests?" Wyvern asked with a teasing smirk.
He rolled his eyes and huffed when Wyvern brought that up. "Yes, but that's not important. Just try not to assume they are sticking to your good side just because they were ordered to. Based on what I've heard from your parents and what I've seen so far, your relationship with your friends seems to be genuine."
Schnell nudged Wyvern's side. "Especially towards Yang."
"What are you talking about?" Wyvern raised an eyebrow.
"Come on~! You two have had the most unique interactions between each other ever since the beginning~!"
"Would you really call getting punched by her in the second day being "unique"?"
Gyo chortled. "Technically, it kind of is, since that's something you wouldn't expect between two friends."
"One of these days, it might reach the next level. Good thing your mom packed you some condoms for that~!" Schnell immaturely snickered.
"Hold on, how did you know about that joke she pulled off…?"
Schnell remained silent and looked away to avoid eye contact with him.
"So, you were one of the masterminds behind that prank…" He glared.
"Hey, I suggested that to your mom because I care about your safety too." She defended herself while trying to hold in more of her laughter.
"Well, your suggestion got me in trouble that first night in Beacon." Wyvern told her, unconvinced that she was being genuine.
"It did…?" Schnell stopped and blushed wildly. "Well, sorry about that…"
"Wyvern…?" A voice called from the corner, which was revealed to be Ruby. "Can I talk to you for a moment?"
Wyvern looked over at Schnell and Gyo, who gave each other a nod and expressed him as a sign he was free to go. They both walked around the center fireplace to the kitchen and TV area to meet up with the rest down there. As soon as it was just the two of them, Wyvern looked back at Ruby and nodded. "Sure. Something on your mind?"
Ruby glanced away for a second and grasped her left arm sheepishly. "This is about what you three were talking about…"
"So…you heard everything…" He frowned as he didn't want her to know out of guilt.
"I didn't mean to eavesdrop!" She told him quickly. "Okay…maybe I did…but I couldn't just ignore it if it was about me too."
He chuckled a bit and folded his arms. "Just to be clear, it wasn't meant to be anything negative towards you and everyone else. I just thought when it came to that outcome, I would be okay with it. It is completely understandable to feel uncomfortable towards a monster like me, being able to ruthlessly kill others without hesitating." He said while doing his best to hide some of the pain in his voice.
"There you go again, looking down on yourself." Ruby frowned and leaned against one of the support beams. "Let's just put this out of the way. It was a shock to see that side of you along with your capabilities. But that doesn't mean it'll stop me from trying to understand you more. I know not all Huntsman follow the same rules or code of honor. And here I am, still comfortable talking and hanging out with you."
Hearing her say that did warm up Wyvern a bit more than last time. But he made sure, deep down, to not take her word for it all the way. It was harsh, but words are cheaper than actions. Only time will tell if Ruby will be able to keep this friendship between them. Just like the others. "That's some talent you have for the youngest member in the team."
Ruby smiled proudly and winked. "I have my ways of socializing and making new friends after I was assigned as Team Leader."
"That's still a lot of responsibility. Which is funny coming from me…"
"Prince Weylyn Kumawaka, huh?"
"Please. Do NOT use my first name." Wyvern blushed and looked away, much to Ruby's amusement. "Especially with my unofficial title."
"Oh, right. Your coronation day didn't happen yet." She realized. "When is it supposed to happen?"
"After I graduate Beacon Academy." He answered. "Master Ostanes never really told me why I had to attend it, but he stated it was a key part of my training before I would be crowned Prince."
"Well," Ruby tilted her head and gave another warm smile, "since it's so important to you, at least you won't be able to go through with it alone." She reminded him about his friends.
"I'm grateful for you guys being here. But just to let you know, you don't always have to be there for me. I'm sure you and the others will have important matters in the future that will get in the way of helping me." He reminded her.
"I know. But there are ways to still help each other out." Ruby shrugged and slightly nudged him. "Like finding your Princess~?"
Wyvern chortled and blushed a little bit. "Honestly, romantic relationships aren't too important for me at the moment."
"Wow. Come on~! You're in your golden years and you still haven't pursued anybody? Heck, I even see a potential girl being your Princess." She smirked mischievously.
"Who? You?" He teased back, which was far more effective than he thought.
"N-No~!" Ruby steamed with her face red as her cape. "Actually, someone even better~…" She pointed her thumb up at someone walking overhead on the second-floor deck. It was Yang, who recently got some new fresh clothes from her luggage in the bedroom she will stay in. Approaching the bathroom without noticing the two of them, Ruby nudged Wyvern harder this time. "My sister, Yang."
"That sounds more like a downgrade compared to you." Wyvern joked while keeping a straight face.
Ruby pouted and folded her arms at his response. "I don't know if I should be flattered or offended for you calling her a downgrade."
"Her bust size isn't a downgrade though…" He whispered.
"What was that?" Ruby raised an eyebrow suspiciously as if she heard something inappropriate.
"Nothing. I was talking about myself."
She shrugged and nudged me once again. "But come on~! I've seen the looks she gives you sometimes. Plus, she did call you cute when you first got here~."
I remembered that last one she mentioned, when I was running out of the library when Blake pursued me over her…book. "Best not to jump to conclusions though. Some looks can be misunderstood, and a girl calling a guy cute doesn't always mean that she likes him in that way."
"True. And no offense to Yang, but she doesn't seem like the "princess mannered" girl. Like…she's too laid-back or downright adventurous to take the job seriously."
"Funny enough, my mom was like that too, according to my dad." I told her with a small dry smile.
"Now that you mention it, I can easily see that when they were young. Even now."
"Anyway, let's just leave my future out of this for now. I think we should just check on the others if they need help with anything. Especially with Sybille if she's cooking and dealing with Weiss and Jaune…"
Ruby snickered and pointed her thumb to the kitchen as she could easily see what's going on. "It's been happening this whole time. But Sybille doesn't seem to mind."
Wyvern rolled his eyes and walked towards the kitchen to have a look with Ruby following behind him. And there they were, Sybille dealing with Jaune and Weiss' excitement while energetically assisting her with cooking lunch. Or at least an attempt to help her with cooking considering those two aren't too adept when it comes to it. "Sybille? You okay?"
"All good. Don't worry about me. Weiss and Jaune are quite the helping hand in general." Sybille said while smiling sweetly at the two.
"Hey~! What about me~?" Schnell pouted as she was the one who was more efficient than both of them, swiftly cutting the ingredient with a chef's knife.
"You have chosen quite a nice bunch of friends. Anyway, Weiss, Jaune, I can handle the rest at the moment. Thank you for your assistance!" Sybille bowed her head to both of them.
"Don't ignore your sister like that~!" Schnell whined as she was feeling left out.
"Of course!" Weiss and Jaune said and bowed back deeply in sequence. "If you still need us, don't hesitate!"
With that, the two of them exited the kitchen area and went over to the living room section to watch TV with Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren.
Sybille snickered as she looked over at Ruby and asked, "For a Schnee, she is quite the sweet little snow angel."
"If only she was like that when we first met…" Ruby sighed and sheepishly glanced away. "But you're right. Beneath that status and cold personality, she is a nice person."
Wyvern chuckled awkwardly as he also had a rough start meeting Weiss. But didn't bring it up. "That aside, did you need any more help?"
"Actually, if it's not too much trouble, can you make that special hot sauce for the dish? I could never perfect it, and I doubt anyone else could make it."
"Ooo~ Yang is a big fan of hot sauce." Ruby commented. "You should tell her about it."
"Maybe when she's finished showering." Wyvern replied. "For now, I'll make some right now. It's quick and easy."
As Wyvern was handling the creation of the sauce, Sybille was taking care of frying or stirring the ingredients together. All the while Schnell was cutting and adding more amounts for her sister to work on due to how many people they would be serving. Only working with the sauce, Wyvern was already almost finished after a good five minutes had passed. He looked up at the two Gozen sisters and was still willing to assist them. But Schnell was already on the last set of chopping and prepping the ingredients while Sybille was just missing the steaming pot that let out the delicious smell of the stew.
He looked back at Ruby, who was still seated on the table ever since he started, munching down on a package of cookies with Nora grabbing a couple before heading back to her team. "Ruby? You want a taste test if this sauce is good?"
Ruby nervously twiddled her fingers while her gaze shifted away. "Uhh…how spicy is that hot sauce exactly?"
"Just a tiny bit." He chuckled, "It's like eating a habanero!"
She jolted in shock as her jaw dropped. "You call that tiny?! Habanero peppers are 200,000 Scovilles!"
"…how hot is that?" Wyvern tilted his head, puzzled by what and how the Scoville scale works.
"It's painfully hot."
"Doesn't sound painful to me though."
"Do you zhulongs have a lot of resilience when it comes to spice…?" Ruby stared.
"Usually." Sybille answered as she sheepishly smiled. "I'll admit, I do eat a handful of chiles with my meals sometimes."
"Holy cow…" Ruby bit her lip as she looked at the bowl of sauce Wyvern made. "Listen, Wyvern. I don't think me, and the others are capable of giving you a proper review of tasting your sauce alone without being in so much pain. If anyone, Yang would be your best candidate on trying it without the stew."
"Good idea. Better to see her in pain than all of you guys." Wyvern joked.
"No! Not like that! She can handle spice so easily to the point where she could finish a bottle of hot sauce in one sitting." Ruby said.
"Jokes aside, I see your point." I nodded while taking a spoonful of the sauce and keeping it in a teacup. "Keep an eye on the sauce. I'll go check if Yang is done showering."
Schnell snickered and smirked at Ruby. "You know where this is going~?"
Ruby snickered back mischievously. "Her being in the shower and him going up to check? Who wouldn't~?"
Ignoring both of their questionable thoughts, Wyvern rolled his eyes and proceeded out of the kitchen and up the stairs behind the opposite side of the fireplace column. He easily saw the bathroom door as it was the only one that was shut and walked closer towards it. There was no sound of the shower running, which Wyvern assumed Yang was just finished. So, he leaned against the railing and just watched the TV downstairs while waiting until Yang walked out. Suddenly, a loud crash came from the bathroom Yang was in, which put Wyvern into immediate alert. It didn't sound like anything major, but better safe than sorry to check on her.
"Yang? What was that?" He asked while the door was still shut. But no response.
Wyvern raised his hand towards the doorknob…BUT immediately pulled himself away and sighed. "Oh no. I've seen this before." He whispered to himself, ultimately avoiding the cliché of walking into the bathroom without knocking. Clenching his fist, he began to knock on the door properly. "Yang? Are yo-…"
*Creak~…*
As it turns out, the door wasn't closed all the way, leaving it to swing open from his knocking, revealing the sight of Yang just in a towel after finishing her shower.
Yang turned her head to the doorway in horror and froze completely. "What the-…?"
"Oh…shit…" Wyvern looked directly into her eyes, but then succumbed to his curiosity by scanning her entire figure down. The moment he scanned down to her revealing legs… "OH SHIT…!" He whispered to himself from the beautiful sight.
"Don't just stand there! CLOSE THE DOOR, MORON!" Yang blushed wildly and threw a spare towel onto his face, knocking him down.
Immediately, Wyvern snapped out of it and complied with her order by shutting the bathroom door while making sure it was properly shut unlike earlier. "Sorry!"
"Oh, you'll be sorry once I get out there and beat your ass after I get changed!" Yang shouted behind the door.
"Violence isn't always the answer, Yang!"
"You're the last person I want to hear that from!"
"Whoa there~! What's going on up here~?" Schnell popped up and asked as she was using her wings to levitate to the second deck.
Wyvern quickly turned to her and shook his head. "Nothing much."
Schnell rolled her eyes and smirked. "It's a lot more suspicious if you say it's nothing after hearing both of you shout."
"Well, it's nothing to be concerned about…"
She scanned her eyes thoroughly at Wyvern and noticed the towel Yang threw at him. "Ahh~…naughty boy~…"
"Just so you know, she didn't use this one." He noted quickly.
"Is that why you sound disappointed?"
"Knock it off. I wasn't."
The bathroom door opened once again with Yang now fully clothed this time. She shifted her glare to Wyvern as they were on the verge of turning red like last time. "I think I have a valid reason for punching you right now…"
"Alright, look. That was completely accidental, and I just…how was I supposed to react to a partially naked girl in front of me?!"
Schnell tilted her head. "Accidental?"
"I knocked. And it turns out the door was still open because apparently she didn't shut it all the way."
"Tch! Fine…" Yang realized she was at fault for not properly shutting the door and relaxed, but with her cheeks red this time. "You're the first person who got to see like that…"
"I…am…?"
"Hmm?" Yang glared back at him again. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing. Nothing much, really." Wyvern pushed out the subject and looked over at Schnell. "Anyway, sorry for the ruckus. You can head back down to the kitchen to help your sister out."
"Actually, I'm already done with my part. I came up here for another reason besides checking up on the shouting." She said while taking out her phone from her small purse.
"Schnell?" The voice of Wyvern's mother called as she walked up the stairs behind them. "Oh, you're already talking to him about it?"
"Was about to, Charlotte. But~…since you're here, might as well tell him yourself." Schnell chuckled while putting her phone away.
Charlotte shrugged her shoulders and decided to do so, walking up to her son. "Wyvy, I have a job for you to do."
"Let's hear it." He nodded and looked directly at her.
"It's a "simple" task, really." Charlotte started. "Inside the capital of our empire; The Crown's Jewel, the Gozen Family just got word that an informant that works inside the White Fang is being hunted down. She holds valuable information, which made the White Fang granted swift termination of her before our government could intervene for her safety."
Yang sighed upon hearing about this. "The White Fang is here too, huh."
"Can't always keep the world clean. Even here. But according to the military, they work more smaller scaled here compared to the other kingdoms." Wyvern noted. "As for who this informant is…"
Before Wyvern could ask, Schnell stepped forward and said, "Her name is Amelie. Short-statured, cat faunus like Blake except different hair color, and quite the attitude." She chuckled. "I personally took her under my protection when she was trying to steal information from our residence. We caught her, I interrogated her, and…well, we ended up becoming good friends after a few weeks. And funnily enough, she was already becoming disillusioned of the White Fang after some "leadership changes", according to her."
"You never told me this." Wyvern folded his arms.
"I had it under control. My family would pitch in for me too, hence why they're protective of this girl. Call her "the unofficial child of the Gozen Family" if you will."
"Was she just a field agent?"
"Actually, she was a member of some group known as the Venom Brigade. Personally, I don't know too much about them. But I heard they're the top brass' most elite members of the White Fang."
"Which means Amelie is more than capable of keeping herself hidden and defending herself. But it seems like she ran out of luck on the first one. Don't let her size deceive you though. She may be small, but her kill count says otherwise." Charlotte added.
"So," Wyvern took out his phone and began to text somebody, "get to the capital, find Amelie, and exfil out of there with her in one piece."
Schnell nodded. "I'll let her know who to expect on her pickup."
"Why not send Schnell if she's on better terms with this girl?" Yang asked.
"I would have easily accepted that proposal in a blink of an eye." Schnell started, before adding, "But…I'm kind of already in hot water with the White Fang because of Amelie. So, they'll know who to look for. However, if we send both of you, they wouldn't expect it and not know you guys would be the ones extracting her out of the capital."
Wyvern tilted his head quizzically. "Both? You mean Yang has to come with me?"
"Two bodies are better than one. Especially for this kind of favor."
"I'm more than capable of handling this on my own. I've dealt with more White Fang terrorists in the past. You should know." He said before glancing away, having some guilt in his eyes.
"Hmm…?" Yang raised an eyebrow, noticing this.
Schnell had the same reaction and shook it off with a smile. "Just think of it as a way of getting closer to her.
Mischievously, Charlotte stepped forward and handed Wyvern a generous sum of Drahënese currency (Xens). "Maybe get some coffee or something fancy while you search for Amelie~?" She whispered.
"You're making this sound like a date more than a rescue and exfil mission." He whispered back.
With Charlotte's cash now pushed onto her son, she stepped back where she stood next to Schnell and bowed her head. "Yang? Is this okay with you? Jokes aside, I just want to make sure my son feels more secured having backup watching over him."
"I guess." Yang chuckled slightly and awkwardly glanced over at him due to what happened earlier. "Plus, he can show me around just in case for the future."
"Ooo~! Already thinking about the future with him~?" Both the zhulong women asked in sync with the most teasing smiles.
"Don't make it weird!" Yang blushed as she folded her arms and looked away.
With a reaction like that, both of them laughed in amusement but made sure it was clearly a joke. Supposedly…
"What about the others?" Wyvern asked as he peeked over Charlotte and Schnell.
"We'll be busy entertaining them until you and Yang return back." Charlotte told him while patting her son's head. "Knowing my little boy and having Yang accompany you, this all should just take an hour or two."
Schnell smirked and gave him a small wink. "While you're gone, we promise we won't show any of your baby pictures~."
"That doesn't sound reassuring, coming from you…"
"No, really. Yang needs to be here to see them too along with you reacting to it." She chuckled and nudged his side.
"That's even worse!"
