A/N: As I stated I am gonna be doing some sprints and trying to release smaller but more often 1k-2k word chapters every few days. This was my first one I wrote up and it did seem to flow a lot easier than the massive 6k word chapters I just released. So much so I might have another one out today or tomorrow I am not sure. Either way keep an eye out.

Chapter 7: Exploring the Sect

Harry's new cottage was definitely an upgrade over the one he had on the first peak. Where the old one was just one room with a bed and some shelving the new one ramped up in both internal and external space. Outside he had a small yard with a few flowering plants growing. Inside he ended up having 3 rooms. The first room when he entered had a small table as well as plenty of shelves and drawers where items could be stored or held. The second room, the bedroom had rows of empty bookshelves and plenty of storage for any cloths Harry would get later with the bed seeming to be made of a slightly higher end material than the one he used to have.

It was the final room that really caught his attention though. The only thing inside the final room was a small soft mat in the center as well as what looked to be four torch sconces at the four corners of the room. This by itself wouldn't have mattered to much if not for the density of the Qi within the room. The Qi was just a bit denser than it was in the inner section of the Disciple's Peak. This had to have been designed to be a cultivation chamber.

The Mat was made of very fine material and he could tell sitting on it for any length of time wouldn't cause any stiff muscles. When he walked around to the sconces around the room they looked slightly off. Where he would expect a torch or lamp to go was instead just a small metal round bottom plate almost as if something else were meant to set inside.

Harry's attention was pulled aside though as his stomach gave out a small growl. Thanks to the sect feeding him constantly he had grown slightly more used to having food regularly and had gotten used to eating at least two meals a day at least. It had only been a little less than a month since his arrival here and yet he had already grown a few centimeters in height. He could guess that since his Qi no longer needed to focus on just keeping him alive it could now work on actually making him grow.

Choosing to head to the new Disciple's Mess Hall Harry left his new dwellings. While he wasn't sure where it was located currently he guessed he could ask around as he walked, though he had a guess it was somewhere on the upper side of the peak.

Sure enough after asking a nearby passing disciple his intuition was confirmed and he set out toward the peak itself. The peak it seemed was separated into 3 major sections the lower section where his cottage was located was the outer section. Its Qi concentration was the lowest and it was where the new disciples lived. As you ventured closer to the peak the homes became larger and the Qi concentration went up a level, this was where the older higher realmed disciples stayed. Finally the peak itself came up. The peak was where much of the commerce happened so to speak. Classes disciples could take were held there, Sparring rings were also in this location where one could practice and train against others looking to do the same.

The Archive was a fairly large building as well. The bottom floor of which was accessible to all disciples and contained all sorts of standard information such as the history of cultivation and some other informational books. It seemed though if Harry wanted to get any Manuals or Arts he would have to get access to the second floor or above. It was a slight surprise when he found out he could already access the second floor but only retrieve a single item until he had obtained enough contribution points which was also something he needed to look into.

That info came fairly quickly as not long after leaving the Archive he came across a small building with an older disciple behind the desk and a board covering the wall with several notices for assistance around the Sect. Each of these notices had rewards of Contribution Points with a few having an extra item or two. Other Disciples browsed these boards picking and choosing tasks they wished to complete. A growl of his stomach drove him out of this building soon after on toward hopefully the mess hall.

His hopes were well founded when a delightful scent entered his nostrils when he passed the side of the building. Following his nose led him to a fairly large open wall building with several tables spread out under an awning disciples gathered and dispersed regularly as they grabbed a meal before going on about their day. Harry quickly got in line to grab something. The food looked like it had in the Initiate area but something about it felt different. Harry's senses were alerting him to a higher concentration of Qi in the food that anything he had seen before. The flavor also matched his Qi Senses. Small explosions of flavor marked his tongue and let him know he hadn't had anything like this before.

Around forty five minutes later Harry was stuffed and chose to digest with an exploration of the remaining buildings on the peak. Most of the ones around where the Mess hall was located were just small shops set up selling different odds and ends one might need for their day to day life while as he moved farther away the odds and ends shifted to more high end items.

At one point he found himself drawn toward a shop with a anvil out front and when he entered he found himself surrounded by differing weapons of all shapes. Swords to spears to axes they were all displayed proudly on the walls. Behind the counter in glass cases Harry's perception picked out a few specialized items that seemed to radiate Qi of some type that harry couldn't pinpoint at the moment. Most of the weapons on the normal walls had two prices listed. The one that was much higher was listed as CP while the much smaller number was listed as SS. Harry had no idea what that was but he guessed CP stood for Contribution Points. Looking at the wall he found a standard sword listed for 12,300 CP and below it was only 12 SS. SS seemed to be worth much more than a CP. The worker was currently speaking with an older Disciple haggling over a strangely curved blade. Harry chose to pass over this shop for now and walked on to the next shop.

This shop which now that he looked seemed like the last one until he started over again on the circle around the peak gave off a acrid almost smoky smell as he drew close. When he entered he found the reason why. All around the shop smalls bottles were strewn about some of them seemed to be ceramic while some seemed to be just glass. All of them held some type of liquid inside. As he went further into the store the bottles changed from liquid to a small round orb which harry quickly realized were pills. Looking at the label for each of them he found himself looking at bottles for all types of small ailments ranging from hair elixirs to pain relieving pills. It wasn't until he reached the back of the store where the attendant stood did he come across the stronger stuff. On the shelf here small bottles of glowing elixirs sat pills in specialized boxes meant to contain their essence dotted the wall. The price as well skyrocketed.

In the back for there wasn't a wall blocking the back of the story a middle aged man who had a insignia of a Cauldron on his shoulder stood. He poured into a cauldron much like the one on his insignia different items and with every item inserted a different color smoke seemed to come forth for just a moment. After about three minutes a great gush of steam rose from the pot and the man Ahhed before reaching in and pulling out a small pill. This of coarse interested Harry as he had never seen anything like it.

Time though wasn't on Harry's side as from within the inner pocket of his robes Harry could feel the egg that he had kept on him all day begin to frantically shake. It seemed his partner was ready to come out and he didn't want them to pop out in some smelly little shop.

The rush that followed left a few disciples a little displeased at having to dodge to the side of racing 7 going on 8 year old but said boy wasn't paying the any mind he just had to rush his way back to his cottage to welcome his new friend home.
