" In the past few weeks, five females have been abducted in the Las Vegas area." JJ started to say as she started to show images up on the screen." And murdered." She continued.

" Why did they take so long to call us in?" Hotch asked as he looked up from the files that was right in front of him.

JJ just shrugged her shoulders." They thought they had everything under control. Their latest victim was an 36 year old female that was abducted last week and was killed last night." She said as she showed the last image." She was strangled to death."

" Was there any sexual assaults?" Rossi asked.

" So, far no." JJ responded as she shakes her head.

" Alright wheels up in twenty minutes." Hotch says as everyone got up from the round table and walked out of the conference room. Hotch walked into his office and sat down at his desk and grabbed his cell and called Haley real quick to let her know he's not gonna be able to pick up Jack since he's gotta be in Vegas on a case and he's not sure how long it's going to be.

Penelope walked into the break room and towards the coffee machine. She poured herself a cup of coffee that was still warm when she looked over and noticed Derek walking in.

" Hey, are you all packed?" She asked as she smiles brightly and took a sip of her coffee.

" Well, of course baby girl." Derek responded with a chuckle." You doing okay?"

" I am fine, stop worrying so much."Penelope says as she took another sip of her coffee." You should get going." She says as she walked closer to him and lightly kissed his cheek." Be careful out there." She says softly as she gently wipe her lipstick off of his face and walked away.

Derek watched Penelope walk away as he couldn't help but feel something is off with Penelope. She's seems to be kinda distant, which isn't like her and he's not sure what to do. But he will figure it out once the team comes back.

Penelope has been sitting in front of her computer screens for almost an hour now trying to figure out why anyone wants to abduct and murder women. But she couldn't really focus, all she could do is think about Derek. Oh, her sweet human chocolate Derek Morgan. She hates not being able to tell him what's going on with her. She also hates having these unexplainable feelings for him all of sudden and not sure what to do about it.

Walking through the last crime scene, JJ had noticed Derek was kinda quiet." Hey, Morgan you doing alright?"JJ asked in concern.

Derek sighs as he rubbed the back of his neck." It's Garcia, I am worried about her."

" What do you mean?"

" Well, this morning when I asked her about what happened between her and Kevin, she didn't say much really. All she said she didn't want to talk about it." Derek knows he shouldn't push the issue but he knows Garcia and he knows something must of happened between her and Kevin.

JJ stopped walking as she sighs for a moment." Something did happen between them last night, and it wasn't good." JJ responded with a shrugged.

" What happened?" Derek asked with concern as he steps closer to JJ." JJ if you know something. You gotta tell me."

" No, I don't actually. But if you really want to know what happened. I suggest you talk to her, but don't push her though. She'll tell you when she's ready." JJ says as she turned around and continue to walk towards the crime scene where the last victim was killed.

" Looks like she fought back." Reid said as he lift one of her hands and noticed fibers from the Unsub between her fingernails." I think with DNA, we might be able to find our Unsub."

" We should head back to the station and give out the profile." Hotch says to his team as he turned around and headed back to the vehicles.

Hours after the case was solved and the Unsub was behind bars, and everyone went home for the night. Derek parked right in front of Penelope's. He should probably get some sleep and should just talk to her tomorrow, but he's not going to be able to sleep until he knows what happened last night and why she's been acting so weird with him all day. Derek took a deep breath and got out of his car after he closed the door, and made sure it was locked he headed towards Penelope's apartment.

Penelope was sitting curled up in her couch playing a game on her own personal computer, trying to distract herself. She groans as she heard a knock at her front door." Kevin, this better not be you." Penelope says as she got up and quickly walked over to her door and pulls it open. She then gasps as soon as she saw Derek instead." Oh, hi."Penelope says in shock.

" Hey, is this a bad time?"

Penelope relaxed as she shook her head." Of course, not. Come on in." She answered as she moved to the side and let him in." What you doing here anyways? I would at least think you would be at home sleeping."

" Yeah, I was on my way home. But I wanted to check on you." Derek says as he walked in." Are you sure everything is okay with you?"

Penelope sighs as she closed the door behind her." I caught Kevin cheating on me last night"

" Seriously?"

Penelope just nods her head." Yeah, so I basically told him that it's over and I don't want nothing to do with him anymore." She says with a shrug as she walked past him and sat down on the couch.

Derek followed her and sat down beside her." I am sorry baby girl."

Penelope just snorts shaking her head." Why? I didn't break up with you." Penelope says jokingly as she chuckled lightly." Thanks for checking on me." Penelope says as she smiles softly.

" Awe anytime baby girl." Derek then leans forward and gently kisses her forehead." I am going to go and let you get some sleep." He says as a moved an strand of hair behind her ear and got up from the couch.

Penelope so wanted to stop him from leaving and ask him to stay, but instead she just sat there and watch him walk out of her door. The moment the door closed and Derek was gone. Penelope threw her head back and sighs deeply as she closed her eyes for a moment.

Why can't I just tell him how I feel. She thought to herself. It's officially over between her and Kevin, so why is she so afraid to tell the man she always had a crush on, she has feelings for him? Penelope just chuckled as she shook her head as she knew the answer already. It could ruin their friendship and that's the very last thing she wants.
