Another day and another adventure. It's exceedingly warm today and I thought it was nice, nice to sunbathe and get comfortable. I thought I wouldn't miss the cold back on Berk. If only I knew that we would have unexpected visitors on the island. And unexpected rulers. It all started with Fishlegs coming back from doing the first Dragon Eye census.

We were in the air flying across the island, observing the fires started by a species of dragons, the fireworms. Tiny dragons that are hot of a thousand suns. And it's burning the island. Yippee.

"It began with one Fireworm, and as we were flying back, we kept seeing more and more." Fishlegs explains as we access the damage. I told Tyse to gather her Night Terrors and keep them in a safe place as we figure out how to deal with this. She didn't argue and instantly told Smidvarg to gather his siblings. "Do you think they're migrating?" Astrid asked me as I shook my head. "If they were migrating, the whole island would be on fire." Hiccup interjected. "Not exactly." I said, causing Snotlout to groan. "Here we go." He yells before shutting up when he sees me glaring at him. I sighed before looking at the others. "I interrogated some of them and they said that they were scouts to explore a safe passage to a new nest for their queen since the weather is very nice out for them. And it turns out this island is one of their stops."

"If that's true, then an entire flock of fireworms could be coming through here." Astrid said. "Well, I say bring 'em on! I love those little scorchers." Tuffnut says as he leans on his elbow in happiness. "Are you still gonna love them when they all land here and burn our entire island to the ground?" Hiccup asked questioningly. "Yes!" Tuffnut says excitedly before backtracking. "Wait, no. Wait, is that a trick question? Because it's pretty tricky." "How is that a trick question? It's a Yes or No, Tuffnut!" I said, annoyed by his stupidity.

"Fishleg, how much time do we have?" Astrid asked as Fishlegs thought about it hard. "Uh, it's hard to say. If it's a full migration, the rest of them could be here as soon as next week." "And with their queen joining in, it's guaranteed that it's a full migration." I added before noticing Snotlout stopping. "Ha! Good to know. It's been nice knowing you, island. Snotlout is outlout!" He then begins to leave but I teleport in front of him with a scowl. "Ahh!" Snotlout yelps as he sees me appear in front of him and Hookfang. "We are not abandoning this island! We worked too hard for it to just leave it! So Snotlout, either you turn Hookfang around or you'll know what it feels like to have a full strength Shifter punch right in your chest! I hear it causes heart attacks." I threateningly joke at the end as Snotlout growls. "Fine! But I still like my plan better." "Complaint noted. Now get moving." I ordered them as he turned around and I catched up with the Dragon Riders.

"Okay, everybody. Fishlegs and Astrid? The two of you filled the watering troughs, correct?" I asked, holding a clip and board as Astrid nodded. "Yep! Topped off all the barrels too." She answered as I checked that down. "Ooh, I found a perfect cave for the Night Terrors. High enough and desolate enough so the flames won't get near them." Fishlegs said as I nodded. "Good spot, Fishlegs. I'll tell Tyse once she gets back from gathering the rest of the Night Terrors." I said writing that down. I looked around and frowned. The Twins still aren't here. "Now, if we could see what the Twins did we can protect this island more before the flock gets here." I said in annoyance of their lateness as I put down the clip. "Oh, I can tell you what they've done. Zero, zip, zilch. I'm forgetting something. Oh, yeah, goose egg!" Snotlout says. "How is a goose egg related to them? A single goose egg is one, not zero, you idiot!" I growled in frustration before glaring behind him. There they are.

"Well look what the dragon dragged in. Where have the two of you been doing exactly?" I questioned the two siblings. "We have done quite a lot actually." Tuffnut said but I didn't believe him. "I find that hard to believe. Did you clear the brush?" I asked. "Uh, no." He admitted. "Build a fire break?" Hiccup questioned. "Nope, not that." Ruffnut answered this time. "How about water? Did you bring any back?" Astrid asked as the Twins shook their heads no. "Couldn't, Too busy." Tuffnut answered. "And pray tell is so important that you wouldn't do your jobs to save the island?" I growled in annoyance. "Finding something awesome." Ruffnut said as we looked at each other in confusion.

The Twins led us to a small island and showed us a stone. 'A Stone? What's so special about a stone?' Wolf questioned as I looked at it blankly before turning to the Twins. "What is this?" I asked as my eye twitched. "Behold! We call it the Namey Rock." Ruffnut introduced the stone as I rubbed my face in disbelief. "And why is that?" Astrid asked in question on why it's called that. "Duh, 'cause it has our name all over it. Cool, huh?" Tuffnut asked as I shook my head. He's my best friend and yet he's think a stupid piece of rock is more important than the fireworm problem. I shouldn't be surprised.

"Oh, yeah, I mean, no. Man, you two are completely ridiculous." Snotlout said as the Twins smirk. "Ridiculous? Perhaps. But answer me this… where's your Namey rock?" She challenges as the Twins listen for a response as Snotlout groans in annoyance. The Twins laughed and headbutted each other and got dizzy but they still laughed. "Uh, Hiccup, Matt, you might want to come take a closer look at this. I think it's a claim stone." Fishlegs said as we came closer to observe it and read it.

"I, Magmar Thorston, hereby claim this island in my name and the name of all my family present and future, forever and ever. And if I or my family break the oath of threatening dragons, Tyse Terrorwing shall take back her claim and banished I and my family." Hiccup read but we were both surprised that Tyse's name was involved. Did she know about this claim stone? 'She's been here for a century and a half. It's possible she met Magmar and made a deal with him that he can own the island for his family and in exchange to not harm or threaten any dragons or he'll pay the price.' Wolf explained to me as I nod. That makes sense.

"And what else?" Tuffnut asked as we rolled our eyes. "'And ever.' apparently." Hiccup continued as Tuffnut laughed. "Ha! Long-lost great uncle Magmar! Oh, my Thor! Wasn't he one who could pass an entire cod through one nostril?" Tuffnut asked as I backed away in disgust. "And debone it at the same time? It's really a lost art." Ruffnut continued. "People just don't appreciate the craftsmanship." Tuffnut said thinking about it. "That's just disgusting and wrong." I mumbled almost throwing up. "Oh, come on! That stone is a fake. It's so obvious that these two made it up." Snotlout interjected but Fishlegs proved it wrong by one simple fact. "I don't think so! For one thing, everything is spelled correctly." Like that, Snotlout gave up as I laughed.

"Let me get this straight. These two own this island?" Astrid questioned in disbelief as Fishlegs fumbles his fingers. "It would appear that way." Fishlegs says as the Twins begin to cheer in excitement. "Whoo-hoo! Oh, preach, sister." Tuffnut said as Ruffnut began. "Well! According to this stone…" Tuffnut interrupts his sister's preaching by covering her mouth. "That was a rhetorical preach." Tuffnut then notices Snotlout mounting Hookfang. "Hey, where are you going, subject?" He asks as Snotlout laughs. "You may be in charge of this island, but you're not in charge of me." He says as Tuffnut points at his own helmet. "Ah, ah! Respect the crown. Don't make us get ugly." Tuffnut glared as Snotlout talks back. "That ship sailed a long time ago." Snotlout insulted as Ruffnut punches her brother's arm. "Ugly!" "Clearly, we'll need a dungeon." A fight was going to break out but Hiccup stopped them. 'I wanted to see them fight.' I pouted as Wolf snickers. "Okay, let's all just take a breath and calm down. The first thing we need to do is get this claim stone authenticated." Hiccup says as I turn into my Night Fury form. "I'll get Tyse. She could tell us more about this stone." I said before taking off to find Tyse.

Nightshift told me that they found a stone with my name on it along with the Twin's great uncle. The only person who might be related to the Twins is Magmar Thorston. I haven't heard that name for fifty years. I followed Nightshift to where the stone is, only to find Mr. Gobber and Hiccup's Father, Stoick there while the other Dragon Riders watched.. "Well, Gobber?" I heard Stoick ask as we landed behind them. "Give me a minute." Gobber said as he took his hammer and hit it, chipping it. "Hey! That stone is sacred!" I yelled as they turned to me in surprise. "Whoa! Tyse, good to see you again." Hiccup stuttered as my glowing slitted eyes turned to his. "Why is Gobber breaking the stone?" I asked as my eyes stopped glowing. "I'm authenticating this stone to see if the Twins have claim to it." Gobber says as I turned to him. "Of course they have a claim. I wrote this stone myself along with their great uncle fifty years ago. He was very weird and strange but he was good company. I can assure you that this stone here is one hundred percent authentic." I said as Gobber takes the chipped stone, tasting it for flavor, before swallowing in it. "She's right. This claim stone is authentic."

The Twins cheered in happiness and excitement for their new island, but the other Dragon Riders didn't like it. Excluding Nightshift, Hiccup, Stoick and Gobber, the Dragon Riders heavily exclaimed their dislikeness for it but I shut them up. I breathed in deeply before making a Screaming Death roar shutting everyone up and holding their ears in pain. I stopped before saying sternly. "This claim stone has been written and belongs to Tuffnut and Ruffnut Thorston with the approval of their long-lost great uncle, Magmar Thorston, and myself. It has been written and my sacred vow. If you wish to disagree and fight against then please go ahead." I make a terrifying grin. "I welcome it." I growled as my eyes glowed under my dark hood. No one said anything in fear of causing my wrath. I turned to Nightshift with a normal smile causing him to roll his eyes at my behavior. 'You got to lay down your sadistic nature.' Reghi said as I smiled. As if I would stop being a sadist.

After Gobber and Tyse authenticated the claim stone, Stoick had the Twins kneel as he held his sword. "As Chief of Berk, I hereby declare that under Viking law, the living heirs to Magmar Thorston are indeed entitled to full ownship of this island, with all the benefits that comes with it." Stoick says as he taps the blade to each of the Twins' shoulders. "Now what?" Tuffnut asked, wondering what he and his sister were supposed to do. "Don't ask me. It's your island." Stoick shrugs as he walks away with Gobber chuckling, following him. Some great advice, Stoick. The Twins cheer and sing as me and Hiccup walk up to Stoick. "Now, Dad, Dad, Dad, you can't be serious. You're not leaving me with this?" Hiccup says, pointing as the Twins continue to dance and sing. "Uh, yes, I am." Stoick says, shaking his son's shoulders. "Welcome to my world. Only now it's your world." "Ho ho! It's your world!" Gobber laughs as they go back to Berk.

"Come on, Hiccup. It can't be that bad." Toothless crooned as everyone besides the Twins and Tyse surround Hiccup. "Great, what do we do now? Any ideas?" Fishlegs asks. "Oh, we could always… You know." Snotlout hisses as he slowly makes a cutting gesture across his neck. "We're not killing the twins, Snotlout." Hiccup deadpanned as I glanced at Tyse. "And Tyse will slice your neck first before that happens. In my research, I learned that when Shifters make a vow or a promise, they fight to keep it and will kill anyone that tries to break it. So whatever plans we have, we need to make sure Tyse is out of it." I said as Tyse turned to me where I quickly looked away causing her to turn back to the Twins. "Please tell me we're not giving them the island." Astrid asks as I shake my head. The Twins can't be that… oh wait. Nevermind.

"Actually, we are. We are giving them the island." Hiccup says as he smirks. We look at him strangely as Snotlout laughs. "Hahaha… What?" He says in confusion. "First of all, we don't really have a choice. Especially with Tyse backing them up. And second, once they find out being in charge isn't everything it's cracked up to be, and they have to deal with the Fireworm problem on their own, they will beg us to take the island back." Hiccup says with a smile of accomplishment. "And what will happen if that doesn't work out as you plan?" I asked, knowing the Twins won't hand the island so easily. The Twins then suddenly slammed their helmets together making them fall down and groaned as Tyse laughed loudly. "I'm starting to think his plan isn't going to work." Toothless growled at me. "I agree." I growled back. "I could still understand you two." Hiccup says annoyed. Me and Toothless ran away laughing. Tyse looks at us amused before frowning seeing the fires and smoke the Fireworms caused.

After the Twins became the rulers of the island, everyone went to do their own thing. I was with my brothers. Hiccup was laying on his back on Toothless, reading one of my notes on the theory of my abilities while I was playing cards with one of the clones of Tyse since the original is busy. I could never understand how each of her clones have a mind of their own despite having the same personality and memories. All I know is she is beating me.

"Any 3's?" I asked, trying to look closely at her face. This Tyse has an excellent poker face and shakes her head no, frustrating me further. "Do you have any 6's?" She asked as I looked at my hand and growled. All my cards were 6's. I slammed my cards down and looked away as she laughed and disappeared in smoke, no doubt returning to the original. 'That was fun, wasn't it?' Wolf laughed as I scowled. 'Go eat an eel, supid dragon.' 'You're a dragon as well.' I can see Wolf's stupid smirk already.

Suddenly we heard the sound of Tuffnut and went to investigate. "Okay, a little higher. No, no, no, to the left. Yes! No. Little to the right." I heard Tuffnut as we continued walking towards the voice. "Would you come on already? My entire body is going numb. Feels kinda cool." I heard Ruffnut say as she seems to struggle with something. 'What are they doing?' I asked as Wolf shrugged in my subconscious. "Hey, let's ask Hiccup and Matt." We heard as we exited and turned around to find the Twins on their dragon's heads and lifting a sign. "Let's ask us what?" Hiccup says as I stare at the sign. "And what's with the sign?" I asked curiously, tilting my head. "Our new Thorstonton sign, does it need to be a little higher?" Tuffnut asked as I looked at him. "Honestly, yeah it does." I replied. "Thorstonston?" Hiccup asked questioningly. "Yeah, the name of our island." Ruffnut says with a smile.

"It came to us in a dream." Tuffnut says letting go of the sign and making her carry all the weight. Oh Noctis. "That's right… Same dream. It's a twin thing. You wouldn't understand. Anyway, thoughts on the sign?" Tuffnut asks waving his hands to the sign before the weight of the sign was too much for Ruffnut making her drop it and the sound of wood breaking was heard. We stared at the sign in awkward silence before Tuffnut gained our attention, shaking his hands. "You know what? Never mind. We've got more important things on the agenda today." He says as Barf and Belch walked away a bit with the twins. "I agree. We need to keep fireproofing the island." Hiccup says as I look at him. "I don't think that's what they are talking about." I said, sighing. "Matt's right. We need to give out job assignments." Tuffnut says as he and Ruffut look back at us with a smile. "Job assignments?" Hiccup asked in confusion as I looked at them in concern.

I'm afraid of what my job assignment is. Hopefully me being Tuffnut's best friend could give me an easy job. "Oh, we got some good ones. Come along, lads. Don't be late." Tuffnut says as he and his sister take to the air. Hiccup mounted Toothless as I transformed in my dragon form and followed the Twins.

We followed the Twins back to the Dome where all of our other friends were waiting for us. The twins were still on their dragons, standing, with Tuffnut holding a list of, I believe, our job assignments. Tuffnut begins with Fishlegs. "Allright, Fishlegs." Tuffnut says looking at the list, reading it. "Says here you are now the official poet laureate of Thorstonton." "Do you even know what that mean?" Fishlegs asks in confusion. "We were hoping you would! It's your job, after all." Ruffnut said making Fishlegs make a bewildered face. 'Fishlegs is doomed. I heard some of his past poeting and it was… bad.' I shivered. 'Bad is an understatement. It was downright terrible.' Wolf groaned in discomfort.

Tuffnut turns to Astrid for her assignment. "Astrid, you are the official royal brush-clearer." Astrid makes a look of surprise and bewilderment. "We don't want Thorstonton burning down, after all." Tuffnut continued. "Or do we?" Ruffnut said with a smirk, causing Tuffnut to smirk back. "I'm not clearing brush for you two! I'm not clearing anything for you two!" Astrid exclaimed in anger as Hiccup went to her to calm her down. "Come on, Astrid." Hiccup said calmly, to accept this new change. "You'll do it. And you'll like it, little missy." Tuffnut sternly replied before turning to Snotlout, ignoring Astrid's glare.

"Snotlout, you, my friend, have an excellent job." Tuffnut replied, making Snotlout cross his arms in suspicion. "You, sir, are our new sergeant at arms." "Whoa that's a big deal." I said shockley. "Mm. I like the sound of tha… 'arms.'" Snotlout says stupidly. "Knew you would." Tuffnut said, turning to the list. "All right, Hiccup. Oh, Hiccup, you are our new stable boy." Tuffnut revealed as Hiccup looked at him in shock and offended. "Stable boy?" He said offensively as Toothless growled. "My rider is not a stable boy!" Astrid covers her laugh and nudges his shoulder. "Come on, Hiccup." Astrid said, saying his last words to her causing him to sigh. Me however took it differently. "HAHAHAHAHAHA! STABLE BOY!? HAHAHAHAHA!" I roared of laughter before falling down from my laughter and hitting my hand multiple times on the ground. "Wow, Matt. Thanks for cheering me up." Hiccup sarcastically laughs as tears well up in my eyes. "I'M SORRY! BUT IT'S SO FUNNY! HAHAHAHA!" I cried before breathing deeply so I don't pass out from the lack of air.

"So, uh, here's a question. What's a 'sergeant at arms' do, anyway?" Snotlout asks as I try to calm down from my laughter. "You enforce the rules." Tuffnut answered. "If someone doesn't follow them, you make sure they do. And if things get really nasty, you show them to the fancy new dungeon and give them some yak dung tea. Got it?" " Dungeon!" Snotlout points at him with a smile. "I like it. Better than 'stable boy.'" His eyes turned to Hiccup making him glare as I snicker before stopping when the glare came to me.

"And now to Matt. Oh Matt, the greatest of dragons. The slayer of Berserkers and Outcasts alike. The beast of demons. The future king of kings of dragons. The partner of yours truly and chaos bringer of Berk. Matt… you are now the official royal advisor to Thorstonton!" Tuffnut declared with a smile spreading his arms wide. Everyone looked at me in shock as I looked at Tuffnut bewildered. "W-What!? Advisor!?" I was shocked by my new role. "'Royal' advisor. Don't forget the royal. As ruler of Thorstonton and the sister of the ruler, we have many duties but many of them need personal advice and what better to have the very person who stood by our side thick and thin to do that." Tuffnut said as I looked at him still in shock.

"Ahh! Speechless! I understand that this is a big promotion. Now to Tyse." Tuffnut says as a swarm of Night Terrors flew into the Dome and merged together to reveal Tyse with a smile. "Hi everyone!" She waved to us. "Tyse, you shall be our personal guard and torturer in the Dungeon. With our rule, there will always be someone ready to snap our necks. Your duty is to protect us from harm and make sure that they suffer in our dungeon. Understood?" Tuffnut asked after explaining her duties. "I'm at your service." She said with a bow.

"Okay, now the rules without further 'adieu'..." Tuffnut throws away the list of duties and pulls out a list of rules, which Ruffnut grabs and unrolls it. "Yeah, no more further 'adieus'. Anyway, rule number one: everyone must bow to your rulers and their advisor and guard when they enter the room." Tuffnut takes the list and reads. "Rule number two: Everyone must also bow to your rulers and their advisor and guard when they exit the room." Ruffnut takes the list again. "Everyone must bow to your rulers and their advisor and guard when they are in the room."

"So basically we just bow all the time?" Hiccup asks in confirmation. "Ooh, stable boy, coming in for the big win. That deserves a bow… from you. I'm not doing any bowing" Tuffnut says causing Hiccup to sigh before bowing. "Thank you." Tuffnut replied as Ruffnut continued the rules. "Next, there will be a small fee for landing your dragons on the island." "And another small fee for taking off." Tuffnut adds. "There will be a fee for sleeping." "A fee for waking up." "A fee for eating." "And a small fee for drinking." "How about breathing?" Astrid asks in annoyance of these ridiculous rules. "Good idea! Mark that down." Tuffnut points at Astrid before turning to Ruffnut. "Way ahead of you." She writes the rule down before throwing the pencil over her shoulder.

"And finally, the letter 'S' has been officially removed from the alphabet. So you're going to want to avoid words like sword…" Tuffnut says as Ruffnut adds another example. "Severed leg…" "Severed head…" "Cyclone!" "That's actually a 'C'." Fishlegs corrected Ruffnut. "Uh-uh! Notlout, quiet him!" Tuffnut ordered pointing at Fishlegs. "Notlout? Who's Notlout?" Snotlout asks in confusion before shrugging and walking to Fishlegs. "Do you two realize that there is an 'S' in the name of your island?" Astrid asked, turning her eyes to me which I'm still shocked by my role. "Illence, ubject! How dare you ay such thing?" "You used the 'S' in such?" I mumbled randomly. "Wait I did?" Tuffnut asked in confusion before widening his eyes "Oh I did! Illence, ubject! How dare you ay uch thing? That better?" I gave a thumbs up still in shock. "Any other rules?" Hiccup asked.

Tuffnut smirked, giving a one moment gesture before pulling a second list of rules and unrolling it only for a fireworm dragon to go through it, making a burning hole, causing the twins to look at it in shock. The Fireworm crawls towards us, snapping me out of my shocked state and growling, stepping back along with Hiccup and Astrid. "Table boy, clean that up." Tuffnut orders with a dignified stance. "Okay, while I'm doing this, you guys need to stay on top of this Fireworm thing." Hiccup picks up the Fireworm with a stick, only for it to catch on fire, causing Hiccup to toss the Fireworm off towards Toothless, who smacks the tiny dragon away. "It's starting to get pretty real."

After that, we went to do our 'royal duties'. I followed the Twins because a royal advisor was always by their side while Tyse was right beside me. We walked towards the stables to see Hiccup scrubbing Barf and Belch's scales and I couldn't help feeling bad for him. I coughed to get his attention, making him look up. "Pre-enting their royal highne-e of Thortonton! The Ruler Tuffnut and the iter of the Ruler, Ruffnut." I said loudly, leaving the 'S' out of my sentence. 'Jeez, I could barely understand you.' Wolf crooned, getting a headache. "Thank you, Royal Advior. Aren't you forgetting something, table boy?" Tuffnut asked, putting his hand on his hip and waiting. "What?" Hiccup asked in confusion before rolling his eyes. "Oh, right. Sorry." He bows while sighing unwillingly. Yeah it's clear he doesn't like this. "That's better." Ruffnut congratulated as Tuffnut walked around to observe Barf and Belch. "Now let's have a look at your work, table boy." He says as Hiccup glares at him before looking away quickly when Tyse starts sharpening her curved daggers as she stares at him menancly. Toothless puts down the bucket full of, what I'm thinking, water before growling. "It hasn't been a few hours and I already hate this job." "Just torrated it for a few hours. I'll try to give you and Hiccup a better job." I growled back before turning to the Twins.

Tuffnut lifts up Barf and Belch's left wing to see how clean he is and smiles. "Hmm, good." He replies before looking at their left leg and spreading their talons to observe. "That's nice attention to detail." He says before Ruffnut interrupts his musings. "Uh, we have a problem." Ruffnut said accusingly as we turned to her. "What? What's the problem?" Hiccup asks as Tuffnut quickly runs under Barf and Belch and past Hiccup. I dipped my finger in the bucket of water before pulling my hand out and shaking my head to the Twins. "Pathetic." Tuffnut replied disappointed. "Disgraceful." Ruffnut said next. "Unacceptable." Tuffnut added.

"What is it?" Hiccup said annoyed. I stepped up to him. "Unfortunately, you made a mitake, table boy. The water i lukewarm." I said with a blank face. I pray to Noctis I can talk normally soon. "Exactly! We specifically asked for scalding…" Tuffnut backtracks of his mistake. "Sorry, calding, if I'm not miskaken." Tuffnut says, crossing his arms and looking away. "Oh, you are not mistaken, brother." Ruffnut adds as Tyse yawns of boredom. "I could do a lot more things than watching this." She mumbles silently only for me, Toothless, Barf and Belch can hear.

Hiccup looks like he's about to explode. "Fine, scald… Calding it is." He says struggling with the new vocabulary before turning to Toothless. "Toothless… Toothle… Plma blat!" Hiccup points to the bucket before Toothless blasts it with his flame. The blast knocks the helmet off of Tuffnut and covers him, his sister, me and Tyse in ash as the water boils and bubbles. We glare at Toothless as he laughs at our present problem as I wiped the ash from my face. Tuffnut picks up his helmet from the ground, puts it back on his head and approaches my brother. "I'm keeping an eye on you, Mr. Night Fury. My good eye." Tuffnut points at his own left eye with a wide smile before walking away. "Wait, are you telling me you have a bad eye?" Hiccup asked, confused as Ruffnut turned to him. "Wait, are you telling me you have a bad leg? Thought so." Ruffnut says with a smirk as I mouthed 'sorry' to Hiccup before following the Twins. "And the weirdness continues." I heard Hiccup say behind me. 'I bet things are going to get more weird.' 'I wouldn't be surprised, Nightshift.'

We were by Hiccup's hutt as Astrid and Stormfly land. The Twins were having fun. "That's a two-mackerel landing charge, little lady." Ruffnut says as Astrid sighs in irritation before moving Stormfly forward slightly away from us. "Two more mackerel. Are you keeping track or should I?" Ruffnut nudges her brother. "No, I got it. Right, Matt?" He replies as I write down the charge. "I wrote it down." I sighed sadly. I feel like a tyrant right now.

"Look I don't have any more mackerel." Astrid says, gaining our attention. "And if I did, I wouldn't give it to you for your dumb take-off and landing charge." Tufnfut walks forward with a hand near his ear. "Excue me. Are you calling the laws of this land dumb?" He asked, challenging her against his rule. I shook my head repeatedly and cut my neck multiple times to tell Astrid not to do it. She ignored me. "You don't like 'dumb'? How about dopey? Brainless, dimwitted, moronic. Shall I go on?" Astrid asked in the end as I sighed and facepalm.

Tuffnut stares at Astrid blankly before yelling in the air. "Notlout!" Suddenly Snotlout and Hookfang appear and lands. "Coming in hot! Sergeant at arm Notlout reporting." He salutes at the end. "Take this mutineer to the new dungeon, and her little dragon, too. Give her some time to think about her attitude." Tuffnut orders as Astrid looks at him in disbelief. "Dungeon? Are you serious?" She asks. "Do we look serious?" Tuffnut talks back looking at her. She groans out of frustration and heads to the stables where the new dungeon is located followed by Snotlout. We watch them walk away before Tuffnut thinks a bit. "You know, that's a good question. Do we?" Tuffnut asked questioningly. "I don't know. Here, give me your best serious face." Ruffnut said, making Tuffnut do some sort of scowl. "Whoa, pretty serious. Okay, what about me?" Ruffnut makes a weird face. "Oh, yeah." Tuffnut agrees. "Okay, we look pretty serious." Ruffnut says as they turn to me and Tyse. "What about you two? What's your serious face?"

We just merely stare at the two of them with slitted eyes and a semi-aggressive stance as we stare blankly at them. "Oh yeah. Pretty serious." Ruffnut says as Tuffnut shivers. "Brr. I feel like my soul left me and took me to the depths of hel itself… Cool." He says smiling at the end as me and Tyse glance at each other. We are the master of serious faces.

The sun was now setting and we were at the Twins house having a feast. The Twins were stuffing their faces with chicken, Tyse was ripping into some Yak meat, bloody juices covering her mouth and teeth, and I was biting into a sandwich consisting of salmon, tuna, cod, mackerel, bass, and trout with a couple of yak meat in between. It was a large sandwich mind you and I can barely fit it in my mouth but I managed. As we were eating, Fishlegs was doing some poetry for us. "There once was an island named Thorstonton where everybody wanted to have fun, fun, fun. We sang and we danced and we all peed our pants when the ruler came up with a great pun… pun, pun…" Fishlegs finished.

We stared at him with both disappointment and boredom. "That was not poetry at all." I said unamused, finishing my sandwich with a giant bite before swallowing. Tuffnut's pet, Chicken, squawks as Tuffnut leans forward. "The chicken is not amused." He replies before calling out Snotlout. "Notlout!" Snotlout and Hookfang appear with Snotlout dismounting dramatically spinning to impress us. "Ir, ye, ir, right here." "To the dungeon with him and bring Tyse with you." Tuffnut orders before Hookfang drags Fishlegs away. "No, the chicken is wrong! The chicken is wrong!" Fishlegs exclaims as he is dragged away towards the dragon as Tyse follows him quickly. "How dare you!" The chicken is never wrong." Tuffnut says as he pets his chicken. Chicken squawks as Tuffnut calms her. "Shh. I'm sorry you had to hear that. That's it, quiet. There we go." I looked where Fishlegs used to be and looked down sadly. I shouldn't allow this, yet I'm just sitting by. I expected Wolf to respond to my thoughts yet he didn't. I guess he's disappointed in me too.

I followed Snotlout as he took Fishlegs and Astrid to the new dungeon followed by their dragons. I looked to the side, seeing Hiccup sweeping before looking up in confusion. "Snotlout, what are you doing?" Hiccup asked, seeing his friends go into the cell. "Never you mind, table boy. This is official Thorntontonston business." He says, struggling on the last part. "Welcome to your new home, jailbirds." He laughs and flies away. I shake my head before walking towards the cell where Hiccup was chatting with Astrid. 'Love birds.' I smirked.

"What are you in for?" Hiccup says trying to be funny. Astrid didn't like it and looks at him unamused. "Funny." She says sarcastically before getting serious. "Exactly how long are you going to let this go on? Have you seen all those Fireworms?" "Yeah, Hiccup, the migration is picking up steam." Fishlegs added before Meatlug rips one a nasty. "Ho ho ho! She does not deal well with prison food." Fishlegs says as we all groan in disgust. 'By her grace. That smells.' Reghi growls as I hear her cough. 'How do you think I feel!'

"All right, all right, I-I'll talk to them. I'm sure I can get this all straightened out." Hiccup says and walks out to find the Twins. "Can't you do anything?" I heard Astrid say to me as I turned to her. "Sadly, my hands are tied. My oath dictates that I can't relinquish the island from the Twins until their actions cause the harm of dragons. By the time it happens, I'm afraid it will be too late." I say, looking down solemnly. If the Twins don't take care of this soon, my home will be burned to the ground. My siblings will be homeless and we would be vulnerable to dragon hunters. Worse, my new friends will have to rebuild all the hard work they have done. I hope Nightshift and Hiccup would be able to convince the Twins to take this problem seriously, or we're all in big trouble.

It was now night and I was side by side flying in my dragon form next to the Twins who were riding their own dragon. Underneath us, is the partly-burnt forest. I look down and frown seeing the damage caused by the Fireworms. Hiccup had the same concern as me as he flew on Toothless next to me. "So you guys surveying the damage?" He asked the Twins. "No, we're looking for a place to build our summer palace." Tuffnut replies as Ruffnut points down to a section of the forest below us. "That might be a nice area once the fires burn the vegetation away." She says smiling of the idea.

"Any thoughts, table boy?" Tuffnut asked, giving Hiccup the go ahead. "Yeah, just one. Have you considered the fact that if you throw everyone in jail, there's no one left to actually build your summer palace?" Hiccup questioned as I smiled. This should make the Twins think about this. The siblings looked at each other thoughtfully. "We're listening." Tuffut said as we looked at Hiccup. "And what about the Fireworm migration?" Hiccup puts his shield up to protect him from a couple of Fireworms. "Don't you think it might be a good idea to have everyone working so that we can stop Thorstonton from burning down?" He added to his explanation. "I have to agree my rulers." The Twins looked at me. "If Thorstonton is burned down, we may have to move back to Berk." I say putting more points to Hiccup's explanation.

Tuffnut looks at me for a moment before turning to Hiccup. "I see your and my royal advisor's point," He sighs suddenly and looks at him again. "But I also see something else." "Oh, yeah!" Ruffnut says in realization as I looked at them confused that was when I noticed something. 'Toothless is going the same speed as Barf and Belch.' 'That's just a stupid law.' Wolf growled. "What? What's that?" Hiccup asked, not knowing what's about to happen. "Toothless is flying as fast as Barf and Belch!" Ruffnut explains with a smile. "And by Thorstonton law." Tuffnut begins. "That is illegal!" Ruffnut finishes. "Rule 38: If any dragon goes the same or more speed than Barf and Belch, they shall be put in the dungeon. Sorry Hiccup." I said as Hiccup looked at us blankly.

I took Hiccup to the dungeon and put him with the others but I was doing this unwillingly. I have no choice in the matter. 'Since when are you bossed around to look the other way!' Wolf scolded harshly as I looked down sadly. 'I just need to follow the Twins a little longer so I can convince them to take the Fireworm problem seriously.' I mentally sighed, tired. 'All you are doing is nothing! I'm ashamed to have you as my half!' Wolf growled. I blocked Wolf from communication and walked away from the dungeon. As I walked away, I saw Snotlout dragging himself into the dungeon. What in Noctis's name is he doing? I decided to ignore him and continue walking home.

"So what you in for?" Astrid asked me as I looked at her tiredly. "Astrid, please." I said, not wanting to deal with this. "What? Just trying to be funny." She said smiling a little just before Snotlout comes in dragging himself in? "Snotlout?" I was confused. What is he doing? Snotlout throws himself in our cell and closes the gate behind him as Hookfang brushes against Astrid. "Hey!" "I was framed." Snotlout answered our questions. "All right, that's it." Astrid exclaims, pushing Hookfang away from her. "We're breaking out of here." "Great! Then we go back to my plan." Snotlout then hisses while sliding his thumb across his neck again. I put myself between them. "Guy, guys, we're fine. There's nothing to worry about. I mean, the Twins can't be that oblivious! And I'm sure Matt can convince them to focus on the Fireworm problem." I said hoping this would convince them to wait.

"I don't know, Hiccup. Matt seems to be having a different problem altogether. Every time he sees us locked up, it breaks him inside." Fishlegs says concerned for him. "You know he's not a leader. It may be different when he or we are in danger, but that's just his instincts. He doesn't have the confidence for it, especially seeing us like this." Astrid says motioning her around the cell. I look down in thought and I know that they are right. Matt wouldn't know what to do. With us he would be fine, but alone he couldn't support himself with these decisions. I hope he can bring himself up and get the Twins to help us.

I was inside my hutt, reading of legendary shifters rising up from their weaknesses and keep on fighting. I closed the book and sighed. "I'm not like them. These were great leaders with no fear whatsoever. I can never be like them." I said looking down at the floor. Suddenly my ear twitched as the door rose to reveal Tyse with a small smile. "You're right. You can't be like them." She says as she walks past me, taking the book from my hand and opening it. "And the part with 'no fear'? That's not true. Even the legendary Shifters have their own fears. Their strength is to move past it, overcome it. Fear is always within ourselves. You just need to learn how to beat it." She says wisely and puts the book down, sitting down across from me.

"How? How do I overcome it?" I asked desperately, wanting to know the answer. Tyse smiles and leans forwards towards me. "By believing in yourself." I look at her in surprise. Believe in myself. "Nightshift. You believe in others so they overcome their weaknesses. Now it's your turn to believe in yourself. Gain your own confidence." Tyse smiles before getting up and walking out of my hutt.

I sat there for a minute before looking up with determination in my eyes. "Tyse is right. I'm done sitting on the sideline! It's time I actually start being a leader!" I say determined to achieve my new goal. Actually being a leader. 'Finally! I thought you would keep being a wimp! What's the plan?' "Get our friends out of the cages. I don't care what the Twins say. It's the right thing to do. Whether they like it or not." I said with a smirk as Wolf laughed. 'That's the spirit! Have I ever told you how proud I am to be your half?' Wolf growls as I roll my eyes while running outside, jump off my cliff and change into my dragon form and fly off.

I headed towards the stables quickly just as the Fireworm migration arrived at Dragon's Edge. I landed in front of the stables and headed inside to find our friends speaking to the Twins. 'What are you going to do?' Wolf crooned in question. 'Not sit by.' I mentally replied and strolled towards Tuffnut. "No, I have a better idea, actually." Hiccup says to them. "We divide the island up amongst all of us. We all own it. There's no ruler, no sister of the ruler." Ruffnut gasps in shock. "We're all rulers." He finishes as I smirk. "What? That's blasphemous! You can't do that to the ruler." Tuffnut yells and crosses his arm only for him to feel a tap to his shoulder.

He looks behind him only to be lifted in the air by his hide vest as I stare at him menancily. "Oh he can't, can he? Maybe he can't, but I can do this, right?" I said with a smirk. "Hey! What's the big idea, Matt!?" Tuffnut exclaims trying to make me let go of him. "Okay, Tuffnut. Here's the deal. You will release our friends so we can save our island. And by 'our', I mean all of ours. And in return, I won't beat you to a pulp… understand?" I said as my fangs pulp out as I snarl at him. "Whaaaa! Okay, you guys can have whatever you want! The island's all of ours! Just-just get these things out of here and me go!" Tuffnut quickly replied in fear as I let him go. "Much obliged." I said before glaring at Ruffnut, who quickly stepped aside from the door. I break the chains on the cell and open the door casually. "Jailbreak!" I said jokingly as everyone was let out.

We flew out of the stables and towards the swarm of thousands of Fireworms. "Okay, Fishlegs-" "Fishlegs! Gather up all the Night Terrors and take them to the cave. Everyone else, we need to redirect the Fireworms around our island and onto the next island." I interrupt Hiccup as everyone looks at me in shock. I glared at them and snarled. "Did I stutter!? If we don't do this now, our island will be burned to the ground and months of work will be for nothing! Is that what you want!? Fishlegs! Are you going to stare at me gawking or are you going to do as you are told!?" Fishlegs snapped out of his stupor and nodded determinedly. "On it." He says and flies away to find the Night Terrors.

I turned to the rest of my friends. "Now we are going to redirect these dragons away from here! I don't care if it's hard or difficult, we are not stopping until every last one of them is far away from here. This is Dragon's Edge! We are Dragon's Edge! And we are going to fight for it! Who's with me!?" I roared at the last sentence as everyone has now determined looks on. "You heard him, gang! Let's get these dragons away from our island!" Hiccup yells as we go up towards the swarm. Stormfly fires her magnesium blast separating the swarm by the second only for it to reform. "Come on, Barf, Belch, do it for Thorstonton!" Tuffnut yells as Barf releases his green gas as Belch sparks it, creating a big fireball. But the Fireworms didn't seem to be affected by it. "Fall back! We can at least protect our base!" I ordered with a roar as everyone follows me. "We need to start building a fire break!" I said with fire in my eyes. Dragon's Edge won't fall today.

It was now the morning and we did not stop building a fire break. The Twins and their dragon dugged the ground to create a firebreak to hopefully stop it. "Keep digging! Every second that fire will get closer, and if there's only dirt it won't catch anything on flames." I growled. "Yes." "Nightshift." Barf and Belch growled as they continued digging.

Hookfang burns a new tree to burn out the incoming fires and Stormfly flies by firing on the ground. This purpose is to burn out the oxygen, and without oxygen the flames will recede and hopefully will be gone but so far things are getting dangerous. "Oh, I can barely see, budy. If this gets much worse, we're gonna have to bail out." Hiccup says coughing. "What do we do now? It's getting really dangerous." Astrid coughs as the fire burns the moisture from my eyes. "The cave! We'll go there and wait it out with the Night Terrors." I growled. I want to save Dragon's Edge but it's not worth my friends' lives.

Suddenly Fishlegs flew and landed next to us. "Uh, Matt, you may want to come up with another plan." Fishlegs says. "Why?" I asked as I snarled at the fire getting a bit too close for my liking. I blast the tree with my flames, only to suddenly freeze it solid once it impacts. "Okay that is new!" I yelled as we looked at the tree surprised. 'Ice powers. That's 'cool'.' Wolf punned. "You were saying?" I turned to Fishlegs for his answer as he snapped out of his awe phase. "I couldn't find the Night Terrors. I called them till my lips almost fell off. They're gone." Fishlegs revealed as I widened my eyes. "Gone? What about Tyse?" I said now worried for her. "She's gone as well." Fishlegs said.

"I told you we should have bailed on this place." Snotlout said before I snarled at him. "No, we're not bailing. This island is ours." Tuffnut says standing up on his saddle and pointing up. "Tuff." Hiccup said glaring. "It's all of ours." He corrects himself. "And no one burns our equally-shared island to the ground but us." That was when Hiccup spotted something concerning. "I may have to disagree with you there." He said looking to the left of us where the swarm is.

We looked and to our shock is the silhouette of the Fireworm Queen. "Hiccup, is that…" Astrid questions, knowing the answer already. "Fireworm Queen! If she's here, then the entire flock can't be far behind it." Fishlegs in horror. "Well, that settles it. Grab what you can. We're out of here." Hiccup says ready take off. "Finally! Let's go, Hookfang!" Snotlout yells before I notice something off. "Wait! Something's not right about the Fireworm Queen!" I yelled before my pupils turned into slits and my vision instantly zoomed in on the dragon. To my surprise it wasn't the Queen but actually a swarm of Night Terror's with Smidvarg and Tyse in her dragon form leading them. "It's Tyse and the other Night Terrors!" I said in shock and happy that Tyse and the other Night Terrors were alright.

"They're protecting the island by forming a Fireworm Queen!" Hiccup said in awe of their intelligence. "There's not going to be anything left to protect if all of those Fireworms land here." Astrid said as the Fireworms continue to land on our island. "Well, we just won't let them." Hiccup says smirking. "Okay, I sense a plan." "We're going to lead the Night Terrors and Tyse out to sea. Hopefully the Fireworms will follow. The rest of you put out these fires." I said as we took to the air and into the swarm of dragons. It was extremely hot but luckily we managed to avoid them and were safely behind them and in front of the swarm of Night Terrors. "That was fun." I quipped. "Let's turn them out to the sea. Hiccup, get their attention while I'll get Tyse to figure out how to draw them in." I said as he nodded and flew right past the dragons.

"Was that brother Hiccup and Toothless that flew past us." I heard Tyse say in shock as I appeared next to her. "Yes you did. Can you get the Fireworms attention to follow you?" I asked as Tyse giggles. "I may not be a mimic dragon but my illusions can make me change my voice to anything I prefer." She answered. "Great! Wait for Toothless's signal then follow him and lead the Fireworms away." "Got it!" She nodded as I flew away. Suddenly, a bright light from Toothless's position catches their attention. "That's the signal! Come brothers and sisters!" Tyse roars before making a Fireworm Queen roar.

The Fireworms looked up and saw the Queen lookalike flying away, causing them to take in the air to follow. I smiled in victory as I watched the Fireworms fly away towards the island where Hiccup is leading them. I felt a scuttle on my shoulder and saw a Fireworm looking at me tasting the air. I chuckled and took it into my hand before holding it out. "Go be with your brothers and sisters, Yol Krein." I growled in dragon speech as it flew away towards the swarm. It was a victory. We won and saved the island. This is a good story to write about.

It was the afternoon and we were in front of the claim stone. Me and Hiccup approached the Twins who were looking at it. "Ruff, Tuff, you guys did the right thing. I just hope you learned something in all this." Hiccup says, putting his hands on their back. "Yeah, we sure did. Leading blow. Oh, we don't have to do the 'S' thing anymore. Leading blows." Tuffnut says slamming his helmet on his head.. "Seriously blows." Ruffnut agrees. "You know what, though?" Tuffnut says as he approaches the claim stone and turns to us. Unknown to him that Tyse led Meatlug to the claimstone. "At least we have our cool claim stone to remember our glorious reign!" He yelled before Meatlug eats the stone as Tyse makes a fake gasp. "No respect." Tuffnut says, not amused. Meatlug then throws up the rock and it turns into molten lava in front of Ruffnut. "No respect at all." She says as Snotlout laughs and starts singing and dancing and we all join in. "It's everyone's island! This is our island. It's everyone's island!"

It was now dark and I was writing down the last sentence to our adventure these past few days. I closed the book and placed it next to the others. That was then I heard a knock on the door. The door rises to reveal nobody. I looked around before looking down to see a scroll. I raised my eyebrow in confusion and looked around again to see who left it only to see nobody. I looked at the scroll before picking it up and heading inside. I sat down next to the light and unrolled it to reveal a letter.

"Greetings Alpha Shifter… You may not know me but I know of you. The wretched child reborn as a Chosen. A brother of a runt who made things possible. A rider you made of the great Night Fury. Your beginning is harsh and cruel but your life truly began with your friends. But beware of your choices because it brings consequences. I am not your enemy nor am I your ally. At least not yet. I am merely an observer. I wish to study you, what choices you would make, who you interact with. There is no need for concern if this frightens you. You are right to be cautious. It is what makes our kind dangerous. Yes, I am a Shifter, like yourself. I would keep my identity a secret from you for now. But we will meet I promise. But for now, a warning to you. The Dragon Eye. It holds many secrets, both good and bad. It is dangerous in the wrong hands. A new enemy you and your friends will face in the future, unlike the Outcast or Dagur himself. One of brawn and strength he leads a tribe of hunters, Dragon Hunters. His smell is of a dragon which allows him to locate dragons. He is direct in purpose as he is in combat. He takes what he wants, uses it as his benefit, then discards it like shed dragon skin. He is also arrogant, believing himself to be smarter than dragons and his underlings. He is a threat but the true leader is his younger brother. One of intelligence and tactics he is the mastermind of operations. Calm and collected, he knows that knowledge equals power - especially when it comes to dragons. He plays the long game, looking for weaknesses before striking at your most vulnerable. He is ruthless and has low tolerance for failures and betrayals. He has no honor so beware yourself. He is your most dangerous foe, he rivals a Shifter in intelligence and that makes him dangerous. Do not be manipulated. But he's not the only enemy you will face. An enemy of your past will haunt you and join the hunters, and I do not speak of Dagur. He is full of rage and vengeance that nothing shall stop him. He uses every benefit to lead him to victory. Even if it leads to a dark power we Shifters fear. Do not underestimate him. Many people died from him, whether they may be man, woman, child, dragon, hatchling, whoever is in his way. Every encounter will make him stronger, so strike fast and quickly. I hope this warning will prepare you for what is coming. But do not worry. Not only will you meet your enemies but new allies. Gained their friendship and became allies with them. You will also meet fellow Shifters along the way. You have already met three of them and gained one as an ally. Songstress and Frost will be an asset to you alongside Tyse. I cannot reveal the others' names. I'm sorry, but it's because they would be cautious if you somehow knew them. I must go. I been here to long and almost seen by your Night Terror friend. Do not share this information until the time is right. We will meet again, young Alpha Shifter. May Noctis's wings guide you and her flames warm you, Nightshift. From, a friend."

As I finished reading, I rerolled the letter and breathed deeply. 'Well that wasn't ominous.' Wolf crooned. 'Who sent this and how do they know me?' 'They say they are a shifter and maybe they were given a vision by Noctis. It's possible.' But that wasn't what concerned me. 'Whoever sent this, revealed a new enemy that we will need to face. Dragon Hunters, are they the people who created the Dragon Eye? If so then we can't let them have it.' 'Agreed. We have already seen what their machines can do and I don't feel thrilled to meet them.' Wolf growled in my head. I then think about another enemy. An enemy in my past. I don't know anyone besides the Outcast and Dagur who would probably want to kill me. I thought long and hard before my eyes widened in realization before glaring. Only one thing in my past would want to kill me. 'The Blooders. Is that what the Shifter is talking about?' 'It must be. I thought I would never hear that tribe again. But it only speaks of a single person but who?' 'Whoever they are. We will be ready.' 'We will be ready, Wolf. Let them come. They will soon learn what it means to anger a dragon.' I looked into the night sky before closing my door and went to bed thinking about how to prepare for this incoming threat.

Unknown to me, that I was being watched by a figure covered in darkness. The figure moves and the sound of stone grinds against each other as the moon lights a part of its face, revealing translucent blue cataract over its eyes. It stares at my hutt like a statue before walking away, putting on a stone helmet covering its face before disappearing into the woods.

Another chapter done and done. I have to say that this chapter was a bit longer than the others and it took hours to do. I hope you liked it. I'm starting a new goal, two chapters per month. The month is almost over so I'll get the next chapter up in the next couple weeks. So what do you think about this chapter? And what do you think of my characters I'm adding so far? What do you think should happen in the next chapter? I would like to know what types of imaginations you guys have to make this story even more awesome. That's all. To the Great Beyond!
