Luan was making Shane a big breakfast the next morning in the hotel room kitchen.

Penny was tossing and turning, having a nightmare about screwing up and getting on Shane's bad side. She didn't want to screw up on her first night as she woke up in a cold sweat.

"I can't do this…" she says.

"You sure love talking to yourself." Red says.

"Gah!" Penny says as she was a bundle of nerves.

Luan soon finished making breakfast for Shane.

Shane was stirring from his sleep. Shiloh used the horn as Shane smiled.

"Good morning to you, too, little bro." Shane says with a smile. "Oh, do I smell blackberry pancakes? And bacon? It smells delicious…"

Luan reveals the breakfast as Shane smiles.

"I love it! Oh, I love it!" Shane says. Luan smiled as he began to eat.

"You are amazing, Shane!" Shelby says.

"You're some kind of wonderful!" Shiloh says to Shane.

"Thanks." Shane says with a smile. He then smiles when his family serenades him with "Some Kind Of Wonderful" by Grand Funk Railroad, inserting Shane's name into it.

After that, he gets dressed for the day and he heads out.

With Luke, he was with Lucy. Lucy was teaching him how to care for people other than himself.

"So, how does this help me be better?" Luke asked.

"Caring for people is essential. Now I want you to pretend you're attending someone's party." Lucy says.

"Okay." Luke says.

"And you brought a gift to give to the guest of honor." Lucy says. "What do you do?"

Luke thinks

"Give it to the guest of honor and congratulate them or wish them a happy birthday." Luke says.

"Good job. Now what do you do at cake time?" Lucy asked.

"Respect them?" Luke asked.

"And wait to be served a slice." Lucy says.

Luke sighed and nodded.

"We're going to use what you learned at tonight's show." Lucy says.

"I'm back in the show?" Luke asked.

"As Remy's replacement for tonight. He woke up with a sore throat and a fever and can't sing or perform." Lucy says.

He smiled. He learned his lesson and was determined to prove it.

With Penny, she was a bundle of nerves.

"He's coming back?" Penny shrieked.

"He's replacing Remy tonight. Remy is sick in bed and can't perform." Shane explained.

Penny was shaking.

"Would you rather I get Remy out of bed and risk his health?" Shane asked. "He's too sick to perform tonight."

"Okay." Penny says.

"She has to take care of Remy tonight, meaning Victoria's going to have to be substituted out in our group tonight…wonderful." Charity says.

"Who do we choose?" Savannah asked

"How about Luna?" Tina asked.

"She can do it." Charity says. "I asked her."

Soon, Luke arrived as Penny hid behind Shane.

"Touch her and you're dead. " Ashley says.

"He's reformed and changed. And he'll prove it tonight." Luna says.

"Okay, then." Mona says. "I want to see that."

Later, the show gets set to begin. Gemma takes the stage with a smile.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the America's Next Hitmaker quarterfinals show, live from the Hollywood Bowl here in beautiful Los Angeles, California! Tonight's show will be one to remember! We're gonna rock the house tonight with some rock & roll music! Tonight's show will have a double elimination, meaning six teams will go to the semi-finals in Greendale. So, if your team of choice wants a spot in that semi-final six, vote for them like you mean it, America!" Gemma says. "Coming up first is the team of Lisa, Beau, Cuphead, and Mugman!"

Fans cheered as they began their performance of "My Generation" by Limp Bizkit.

"Cuppy and Mugsy!" The crowd cheered for the cups as Mugman did a guitar solo.

Fans cheered louder for them. As they finished, Mugman smashed his guitar on stage like a true rock star.

The fans loved them.

Luke was quietly combing his hair, not saying a word. Oliver looked at him.

"Luke?" Lucy asked concerned.

"This could be my last time performing on this show, ever." Luke sniffed.

"Not true." Colleen says.

"What do you mean by that?" Luke asked sadly.

"Don't give up, you will perform again soon." Colleen says.

"Yeah, right…" Luke says, feeling upset that he will never get to be on ANH after tonight.

"You can't be gone forever." Colleen says.

Luke just puts his guitar away and sits on the couch in the dressing room. "All I am tonight is Remy's replacement. Nothing more." He says.

Soon, fans were chanting for the Foxes. They came out and performed Journey's "Don't Stop Believin", their favorite Journey song.

Fans cheered and sang along. Gabriel smiled at them as they finished.

Soon the cosmic buddies went on as fans screamed. They were performing "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" by The Beastie Boys.

Fans cheered.

Tina looked nervous, knowing this may be her last performance on ANH.

"Even if we don't go to the semi-finals, remember all the fun we had doing this, okay?" Savannah says. Tina sniffed and nodded.

The cosmic buddies soon finished as there was a break soon afterward.

Luke, Shane, Oliver, and Penny were being interviewed. Luke wasn't as enthusiastic as the other three, however.

Penny looked nervous, but she didn't have to answer any questions. Gemma asked Luke a question first.

"How have you been?" Gemma ssked

"Not good, since this is basically my last performance on ANH." Luke sniffed.

"Why do you say that?" Gemma asked.

"After what I did to Shane, I don't deserve to perform here anymore…" Luke says. "I'm sorry I hurt him. I'm sorry I was such a jerk. I'm upset that no one will ever see that I am sorry!"

"That's not true. Your little sister knew. I mean, she went out of her way to comfort people and I forgive you. She even put you on the right path, teaching you to be good again." Penny says.

"Maybe I should just go…" Luke sniffed. "You obviously don't want me or need me."

"We do need you!" Oliver says.

"We all forgive you." Penny said.

"Once Remy is better, he'll be back on stage, and I'll be done here…" Luke says sadly.

"No, Remy said you can keep his spot for the rest of the season." Shane says.

"When did he say that?" Luke asked.

"A few minutes ago. I texted him." Shane says. "It turns out it's more than just a common sickness he has going on. He's been diagnosed with leukemia. His mom told me that over the phone. That's why he felt so out of sorts lately."

"Which means I'm back in to win." Luke says and looks at Lucy who nods and starts planning his upcoming victory party.

"We're going to stay in this for Remy. For him and all the people out there who are fighting leukemia just like him." Shane says.

"And we can't lose because I never lose." Luke says

"Did you not learn anything?" Shane asked.

"He means he's going to carry us to victory." Penny says.

"He's slowly learning. you saying he's back made him think of parties again" Lucy says

"I need to win. I'm going to win for my grandma and my little sister" Tina says, dedicated to them. "I made a promise this time I won't break that promise." Tina says

"We're up." Savannah says. "And if we don't go to the semi-finals, it isn't the end of the world. We had fun doing it. And besides, Charity wouldn't care either way. She's got to deal with her son's reformation stuff, anyway. Victoria is in pieces right now after finding out that her son is diagnosed with leukemia, so we do this for her, whether we win or not." Savannah says

"This is the end of Savannah and her friends" Mike says as he and Josh high-five.

"Should we tell the general that members of the cosmic buddies are highing here?" Josh asked

"No, no, I can't wait to see Randy get arrested when he returns." Mike says, snickering.

Savannah Tina Luna and Charity took to the stage as fans cheered.

They began to perform "Alter Ego" by the Clique Girlz as fans cheered.

Soon they finished with a bow. "Listen, everyone, Remy is sick and he could use some support." Savannah says.

Fans chanted Remy's name

Soon after a couple of performances it was time for the main event

"Coming on stage now, the stars of the show! the team of Oliver Fox, Shane Loud and his brilliant girlfriend Penny Crygor, and the main star, Luke Huntington!" Gemma says as fans were cheering.

"Luke, Luke, Luke, Luke!" fans cheered.

Penny was nervous, seeing the crowd.

"Don't you dare back out now." Luke says as Penny nodded.

"Yeah, I gotta do this." Penny says.

"For Remy!" Oliver and Shane both say.

Fans cheered as they began performing "Set It All Free" from Sing, with Shane and Penny singing lead.

"SHANE! SHANE! SHANE!" Fans chant "LUKE! LUKE! LUKE!"

They finished as the fans loved it.

"And then there was 4." Mike teased.

"What do you want Mike?" Alem tuber asked with a glare

"You and your pals stand no chance." Mike says

"How are you still in this?" Alem tuber asked annoyed

"Easy, Oliver taught Mark and Brandson how to perform in the past so they're helping us surpass you. You won't win. We will win this. You can't punch us on set, so good luck." Mike says as he and Josh leave.

"I always knew Brandy's friends would fail. Well, they better stay that way. I didn't need them getting in my way. Can't count on them to do something. I can easily do rest in peace to Charity's career that seemed to be in last the way they were talking, same to Tina.." Alem tuber says and walked off. "Good thing I can still win this for my team."

"Mark and Brandon are still a problem." Oliver says as they were in 1st. Mark and Brandon were in 2nd.

"The votes are the only things that matter now. But guess what? They're actually eliminated tonight. They won't be in the semifinals! The Foxes are in second. Those guys? They're in seventh place." Gemma says.

"You will pay, General! I held my part of the deal, execute them now!" Mike says.

"Huh?!" Emma asked before getting shot with a laser as she fainted.

"We have you at last, criminals! You thought you could come back to my city and destroy it? Think again" A man in a black suit says, glaring at the cosmic buddies as the fans took off their dresses revealing they were agents, all aiming.

"What the?!" Tina asked.

"After that heist those 3 did, we decided that the cosmic buddies were not welcome in Greendale and I made it my mission to execute them. Thank you, Mark and Brandon for everything. You will be rewarded after the execution." The general says only to see that the cosmic buddies split when he was talking.

"That's it! Capture them, all of them!" he says.

The cosmic buddies were running as Alem tuber was carrying Sal.

"I don't want to die!" Sal says.

"This is why I didn't want to come to Los Angeles!" Jason says. "But I did it for the sake of Luke, now I'm going to die for saving the world with you guys!" Jason says. "After this, I want nothing else to do with any of you!"

"At least we're dying together" Savannah says.

"Please, Jason, you're going to get dragged along some dumb way, even though we never needed you. Heck, I really don't need your help. I can handle this myself." Alem tuber says.

"Guys, focus!" Chrissy says as they dodged some lasers. Some soldiers shot rockets as the cosmic buddies used their powers to split up as they ran or flew.

Meanwhile

"That was crazy! Penny, you were amazing!" Mona says

"Totally cool!" 9-Volt says.

"It was all Shane and Luke, really…" Penny says. "We're doing this for our friend who needs our support now more than ever. If we win, a lot of that money is going to Remy for his leukemia treatment."

"Is Savannah going to be okay?" Tina asked.

"She's probably going to die. See, I told you they were no good." Stephen says.

"Shoot, now what do I do?" Skylia asked, worried.

"Turn yourself in or I'll shoot." The general says as Skylia noticed she was surrounded as she got ready with magic.

"Kids, stay back." She told the Foxes.

"Wait, you have more kids?" The general asked. Rachel answered that when she turned the general to stone and the general was hauled off to solitary confinement, still made of pure stone.

"Rachel!" Skylia says. "We could have talked it out and I told you to not use magic in public!"

"You were going to die! And at this point, no one saw it, anyway. Ugh! You're welcome!" Rachel screamed out as she stormed off.

"You did it to save me? Thank you." Skylia says, smiling a bit. "Now let's go find your brothers and Emma."

Meanwhile

"Here's the plan. We'll use the sewers!" Bill says and opened a lid to see soldiers

"On second thought we'll take the stairs!" Bill says, closing it as they rush off.

"Attention soldiers, the general was turned to stone, what do we do?" One asked.

"One of us has to replace him." another one says

"Now that's wrong." a 3rd says.

"The only wrong thing here is you." Griffin says as he launches a magic net at the soldiers, trapping them.

"Way to go, Griffin!" Savannah says as Angry Luigi and Alem tuber looked confused. Alem tuber gets an idea and rushed over as he sees the general and hides him before taking his walkie-talkie.

"Attention, all units! Fall back, I say fall back! You all are getting a big vacation with payment" Angry Luigi says as he did a perfect imitation of the general's voice. Alem tuber had gotten to him.

The soldiers were leaving.

"It's over." Savannah says

"Which mistake was it?" Emma asked.

"Something about mother abandonment." Bill says as Jason froze and said nothing, just storming off.

Emma hugged Pam, sobbing.

"Is everyone okay?" Stevie asked..

"And don't worry. When those soldiers get to the airport, they'll be flown to a secluded confinement facility with no hope of escape." Griffin says.

Emma looked traumatized.

"Yeah, we're okay. For now, I need to get back to Greendale and clean things up. Without the general, there will be a lot of baddies and no one messes with my city. Besides, if there's a villain, the show will be cancelled." Alem tuber says and flew off.

"What a night! so how's my-I mean our- victory party looking?" Luke asked.

"Sigh, good enough. You're learning well." Lucy says.

"Could you send the soldiers home? They were only following orders." Savannah says.

"Fine." Griffin says.

Mike's team was eliminated along with a random team, so a lot of the main teams were still in it.

"Come on, Penny, we gotta celebrate your first time on a stage ever!" Her grandfather says with joy.

"I don't want Luke or Shane to be upset…" Penny says.

"Go on. Me and Luke have some work to do, anyway." Shane says with a smile. "I'll see you later, okay?"

"Okay." Penny says, leaving with her grandfather.

"Okay, trip's over we're going back." Wario says.

Peach and Daisy fist bumped.

"Not sure if I wanna do another round." Rosalina says.

"Come on, we're having fun!" Daisy says

"We should get back to Greendale. Wait, your play, when is it?" Savannah asked Brandy.

"In March." He says.

"Okay. Let's go stop a couple of baddies and save Greendale!" Savannah says as she runs off.

Angry Luigi looked tired. He looks at Oliver and the Foxes, giving them a thumbs up type of thank you as he was the silent type before taking a tanooki suit and flying off.

"I'm surprised and I'm proud of you 4." Skylia says to the Fox quadruplets.

"Thanks." Stevie says.

"We should probably get the adventure kids home" Bill says

Cynthia sighed, having been eliminated. "Oliver was right, he doesn't need me."

"At least he has a female on his team now, which means he's starting to appreciate females more." Cecilia says, crossing her arms.

"I guess I could work on Oliver's costumes. That's all I'm good at." Cynthia says.

"Did you hear his friend has leukemia?" Cecilia says.

"I heard." Cynthia says. Cecilia was gone, just like that.

"I'm not sure how you're still in this Savannah." Randy says.

Savannah shrugged as the cosmic buddies leap into action.

It looks like Luke is back and changing for the better.
