The two of them had fallen asleep when the portrait opened and the noise of students coming up from dinner startled them. Springing apart they were teased a bit but otherwise left alone.
Neville and Susan came over, "Harry. Hagrid asked about you."
"Hagrid! I forgot he wanted to talk to me." Harry exclaimed slapping himself on the forehead. "How long until curfew?"
"Two hours. We should have enough time." Hermione replied.
"Then we better go I guess." Neville said with a sigh.
Harry nodded and the four set out again. Carefully moving through the castle to get outside and down to Hagrid's hut they managed not to be noticed.
Pounding on his door Harry and the others waited. Hagrid opened the door with a worried smile, "'Arry, you un yer friends are out late."
"I know but you said you needed to speak with me about something." Harry said as they entered the large man's cabin
"Aye that ah do." Hagrid said closing the door. "There's sumtin going on wit Albus. He's got an unhealthy interest in you."
"So we've noticed." Hermione agreed, "But what do you know about it?"
"He asked me about what was going on wit you, and all abou Ermione there. How you knew about the rat and all of that. He was really keen on finding out how you knew about that."
"What did you tell him?" Hermione asked.
"Ah tol him yer alla bunch o smar tones. Like yer parents. Ye jes always thinking on things like they did." Hagrid proudly beamed.
"Thank you Hagrid." Harry said, "Did he say or do anything else?"
Hagrid thought for a minute before saying, "Aye that he did. Only twernt to me he said that. He was talking to Snape about keeping an eye on you and all."
"He said that to Snape?" Harry frowned.
"Aye that he did. They wuz talking after the hearing." Hagrid said.
"Fascinating." Harry drolly declared, "I wonder what this is going to result in."
Hagrid sighed as he put a kettle on the fire, "I dunno. Things 'ave changed this year and its all coming apart it feels like."
That seemed to spark a memory of Hermione's as she suddenly asked, "What happened to Fluffy?"
Hagrid and every one looked at her in confusion, Hagrid though was less confused and more concerned, "How did ye find outta bout fluffy?"
"Fluffy?" Susan asked.
"A large black Cerberus. Just a puppy really." Hermione explained distractedly.
"Aye that he is. How'd ye find out bout 'im?" Hagrid repeated.
"I heard things." Hermione replied with a winsome smile, "I was hoping to see such a powerful creature."
Hagrid sighed sadly, "Well yer not going ta unless ye go to Antikyros. Minerva made me send 'im back."
"Really? Why?" Hermione asked as the other three friends watched the conversation like a tennis match.
"Cause the thing Albus wanted 'im for isna gonna 'appen. She declared the whole thing canceled." Hagrid said with a slight chuckle, "She said a whole lotta other things I shan't repeat in front of your sensitive ears."
Harry asked in the silence, "What's a Cerberus?"
Hagrid went on about the three headed canines of Greece and how they were such magnificent and misunderstood creatures. Bred to be excellent guardians they could watch most of their surroundings with their three heads.
By the end of the evening Harry knew more about giant three headed dogs than he had ever wanted to know and was quite glad he would not be having to face the beast, even with a future aware Hermione.
…...
Walking back to the castle Susan remarked, "Okay Hermione what else do you know about this?"
"There is something more seriously wrong with Quirrel than just his stutter and fetish for garlic." Hermione frowned.
"Like what?" Neville asked, "That he's a Death Eater?"
"Close. He's possessed." Hermione flatly declared.
"Possessed? By what?" Susan asked in shock.
"The Big V. Dumbledore had this big huge elaborate trap set up to manipulate Harry into facing him. Only since Dumbledore is out of the school McGonnagal must have dismantled it." Hermione observed.
"And this Fluffy was part of that?" Harry asked.
Hermione nodded, "Yeah. Along with a troll, some flying keys, a potion logic puzzle and a giant magic chess set."
"Oh lovely. I'm rather glad she got rid of that." Harry said.
"Yeah but what will he do now that whatever bait they had at the center of the trap is gone?"
"Probably try to kill Harry. That seems to be the way the defense professor always did, usually in the spring." Hermione observed thinking, "Uh. Sorry Harry."
"No. Its okay. I always like to plan ahead for murder attempts against me." Harry quipped sarcastically. "Makes my calendar look a lot fuller."
"Well we need to watch out for what he is going to do now. Plus don't trust Dumbledore. He won't give up this easily." Hermione cautioned.
"Okay. I'll try."
"There is no try, only do or do not." Hermione said with a giggle causing Harry to look at her funny before he chuckled. Susan and Neville looked at the two fo them in deep confusion.
"What's so funny?" Neville asked looking at all of them.
"Its from a movie. Maybe I'll see if dad can let you come over this Christmas break and we can all watch it." Hermione replied with a shrug.
"So should we tell anyone about Quirrel?" Harry asked.
"Why? So they can find out Hermione has the memories from a future version of herself." Susan asked emotionally.
"Its not illegal is it?" Harry asked in a concerned tone.
"Technically no. But it is highly frowned upon and the Ministry would want to probe me for the future. Plus if the Death Eaters found out." Hermione shuddered.
"Hey. I'm the only one going to probe you." Harry declared earnestly.
She glared at him briefly before saying, "Be serious. Think about it. Somewhere in this jumbled mess in my head is the next hundred years or so of things. While we may have changed a big chunk of it there are things we did not alter. Things I was part of or witnessed. Things like the death of the Queen and rise of King Charles. Jeremy Clarkson being elected Prime Minister. If the Ministry or the Death Eaters found out any of this. Not to mention I was involved in the Ministry for a great deal of my adult life before I came back to teach here."
Susan and Neville nodded, "I know auntie would love to know about the crimes that will be committed. She's always hated how divination is next to useless for small scale things."
Neville agreed, "Yeah but you don't know what you know, you said so."
"I don't actively and consciously know it. Its in here, but getting it back out, while getting easier, is still a jumbled mess. Like when talking to Hagrid I had the sudden flash of the Cerberus and Ron getting drooled on. Which set my mind spinning about that and the rest of the trap." She let out a deep heartfelt sigh, "I appreciate what she did and can understand it. I almost wish she would have just taken me over and not done the info-dump. Its a real pain in the neck."
"Well you're doing your best and we appreciate that. I guess we'll just watch Quirrel and make sure he doesn't have a chance to do anything." Harry said as they reached the castle.
"C'mon. I remembered a short cut to get back to Gryffindor." Hermione said turning and heading for a painting that slid aside when she knocked three times on the frame.
...
The next morning Hermione pointed out the article about Molly Weasley.
"All charges against the Weasley matron have been dropped as it became aware that she was manipulated and controlled by the heinous traitor Peter Pettigrew. A tragic story that has taken a horrible twist as it was discovered he is still alive and had been holding the entire Weasley family hostage with his dark powers." Hermione read. "The threat to our world has been resolved by this revelation and Mrs Weasley feels incredibly relieved to have this weight off of her broad shoulders. She is sorry that she was forced to speak about our world in front of muggles. The courts and our paper both wish her speed in her recovery from this tragic ordeal."
"Wow. The Prophet sure has a way with their words." Susan sarcastically admired them.
"Well they didn't even pursue the violation of the secrecy thing at the trial." Harry stated.
"Auntie says the arbiters sometimes change their questioning if something is revealed that is more important or more relevant to the point. Supposedly they are all there to get to the truth of the matter." Susan explained.
"So I wonder when Ron will becoming back?" Harry asked.
Hermione frowned, "Who knows."
"You're not still mad at him are you?" Susan asked.
"No, not really I guess. I'll give him a chance as a friend. But that's it." She said with a sideways smile at Harry.
…...
Friday's paper had the trial of Pettigrew splashed across the front page. In large bold print it declared Pettigrew Alive, Sirius Black an Innocent Man!
"In testimony today it was revealed that Peter Pettigrew had faked his own death, killing 12 muggles to throw the blame on the grief stricken Sirius Black. Sirius Black who has been released from Azkaban and is now in Saint Mungo's receiving long over do mental care for his experiences. The unregistered animagus Pettigrew was discoered to have been the secret keeper for the Potters and betrayed them to You-Know-Who. His order of Merlin is being rescinded and he is to spend the rest of his life in Azkaban."
"Well that turned out well." Neville said grimly.
"Harry you okay?" Susan asked.
"Yeah. I just go to the Hall of Heralds to hear my parent's will today." Harry said pushing his food around.
"Oh. They'll probably all be talking about this when you get there." Hermione said sympathetically, "I'm sorry Harry. I'll do what I can to help you feel better."
"I know Hermione. Thanks." Harry replied with a warm smile.
"When do you go?" Neville asked.
"After lunch."
"Well good luck." Neville said evenly.
"Thanks. I have no idea how its going to turn out."
"It should turn out pretty good. The Potters were not poor." Neville reminded Harry.
"I know. But with everything else." Harry sighed.
"I know man. Just hang tough." Neville said with a friendly smile.
"Okay." Harry chuckled, "Hang tough?"
"Something Hermione said her uncle likes to say." Neville shrugged.
Hermione smiled in amusement, "Yes. Hang tough."
"Okay." Harry agreed.
…...
Harry was sitting at a long very highly polished table in the Hall of heralds. A tall man with a fringe of gray hair, thin nose, and piercing blue eyes behind incredibly thick glasses sat at the head of the table. Harry and Minerva were the only other two people in the room.
They had managed to avoid talking to anyone about the recent trials. Minerva had asked for some help from a friend of hers and they were escorted along back corridors outside of the normal public ones by an auror named Muldoon. He was apparently an old friend of Minerva's and flirted with her a slight bit Harry thought. It made him feel awkward to be around his usually stern professor when she giggled at something he said.
"Very well." The man who had introduced himself as Andrew Margopath wheezed in a reedy thing voice, let us begin.
He pulled up one small scroll case and after breaking the seal and opening it read, "I James Potter of sound mind and body do bequeath all of my worldly possessions to my wife, should she precede me across the veil then I leave all of my belongs to be held in trust by my brother Sirius Black for my son Harry James Potter. I speak these words on September first 1981 of my own free will. Signed and witnessed by Sirius Black, Lily Potter, Pandora Lovegood, Alice Longbottom and Frank Longbottom."
Harry blinked as he heard the list of names. The man had rolled the scroll back up and tucked it into its case.
"Well as your mother has passed as well Mr Potter we shall read hers next. Unless you need a moment."
"No. I'll be okay." Harry said. He was okay as for some reason he could not exactly put emotions with these names. People he never met and never knew.
Pulling this one out of its case after releasing the seal the Herald recited the words, "I Lily Potter nee Evans of sound mind and body do leave all of my worldly possessions to my son Harry James Potter. Should he not be of age I order that all chattels are held in trust by Sirius Black, his godfather or Alice Longbottom, his godmother, until such time as he comes of age. I speak these words on September first 1981 of my own free will. Signed and witnessed by Sirius Black, James Potter, Pandora Lovegood, Alice Longbottom and Frank Longbottom."
Harry blinked at how short and to the point these documents were. Empty of any personality.
"So Mr Potter. As I am unaware of Sirius Black being declared medically fit to take up his duties your guardian Ms. McGonnagal will be the one to hold your assets in trust." The herald said sliding several pieces of parchment across the table.
Minerva nodded and glanced at the papers before handing them to Harry. "This is a list of your belongings Harry."
Harry took the parchment and read about a family vault, several business investments in both the magical and muggle worlds. Generally it looked like he was a rather middle class person on paper. The sort of person Vernon had always aspired to be. He chuckled slightly causing the others to look at him oddly.
"Sorry. Just thinking of something." Harry flashed a brief smile.
"Yes well. I am sorry but the Ministry acquired the property in Godric's Hollow as a war memorial. It was under the Emergency Powers Act so you would have to speak with an advocator about that." he said as he slid a box with a ring of keys in it across to Minerva. "These are the keys to your parent's vault. Your beach house and a few other things that are listed."
"Is that it?" Harry asked as the man started cleaning up and giving copies of things to Minerva.
"Yes what were you expecting?" he asked in a surprised tone.
"I don't know. I guess I was sort of expecting or hoping for something, more." Harry shrugged.
The man nodded, "Ahh. Family a great many times leaves us expecting more."
…..
As they were leaving Albus Dumbledore was walking down the corridor, "Ahh Minerva, Harry. How are you today?"
"We are well Albus. We were returning to the school." Minerva coldly replied.
"I'm sure Harry can spare a few moments. Can't you Harry?" Albus asked with a kindly twinkle in his eyes.
Harry felt Minerva put her hands on Harry's shoulders tightly, "Actually Filius had a rather complicated charm he wanted to test Mr Potter on."
"Ah. A benefit of knowing Miss Granger. Jumping ahead in knowledge eh?" Albus chuckled.
"Yeah. She reads ahead and is brilliant." Harry agreed.
"So he is being rewarded with more work as is expected." Minerva declared.
"I'm sure he greatly appreciates that." Albus laughed, "Although there can be a great many more things rewarding. I understand he's made the Quidditch team?"
"Yes he has." Minerva agreed squeezing Harry's shoulders. Harry had no idea why but the two adults seemed to be tensely dancing around him verbally.
"I don't suppose you have managed to upgrade the school's brooms yet have you?"
"No I haven't. I have been busy dismantling and cleaning up some of your messes." Minerva grumpily huffed.
"Yes so I heard. You could have been a bit more diplomatic with Nick." Albus tsked
"I would have thought at his advanced age he would be more inured to blunt discussions." She snidely remarked. "Perhaps he should consider a refresher."
"One should recall that at advanced ages, one does need all of the friends they can muster." Albus did not seem as jovial or friendly as he had a few moments ago Harry thought.
"When I reach an advanced age I shall remember that." Minerva countered, "Now shall we stand here for the rest of the day bandying words back and forth or shall you for once in the interminable duration of our friendship tell me the true reason for your conversation?" Minerva demanded.
Albus looked highly disappointed at Minerva. "You wound me Minerva."
"Give me a moment and I shall do so." Minerva glared at him, "Now as this conversation seems to be serving no useful purpose I believe Mr Potter and I shall return to Hogwarts."
Albus sighed, "If you must. Although do be careful Harry. Not everyone is as strong of a friend as you might think they are."
Harry nodded carefully, "I think I can tell."
"Well I'm sure you think so." Albus smiled, "Well good day Minerva, Harry."
Minerva glared at Albus' retreating back before she snorted and guided Harry to the lifts back to the Lobby so they could floo back to Hogwarts. Harry frowning as he tried to work out what just happened.
…...
Harry managed to only stumble out of the floo into the teacher's lounge followed by Minerva.
"You do seem to be getting better at that Harry."
"Its all of the practice ma'am." Harry huffed sitting down with his head between his legs briefly.
"Yes well things should be calmer now so you shall not be traveling as much." Minerva comforted him as she poured a glass of water.
"I hope so. That is one of the craziest ways of getting from one place to another." Harry said sipping at the beverage.
"Wait until you are introduced to portkeys." Minerva said with a grim smile.
"Ahh Minerva you're back. Filch has been going absolutely spare as he caught some students breaking into his office." Flitwick said walking into the lounge.
"Oh dear. I thought the Weasley twins had not returned yet." She said with a scowl.
"No it was Granger, Longbottom and Bones. I've had them waiting in your outer office since they got caught." The diminutive professor stated.
"Hermione, Neville and Susan?" Harry asked confused.
"Perhaps you should come along Mr Potter. I have a feeling you are involved in this." Minerva said with a raised eyebrow.
"I was with you." He protested.
"Never the less come along." Minerva said marching towards the door leaving Harry little option but to follow her. Sort of like a fishing boat following an icebreaker.
…...
"Argus calm yourself." Minerva commanded as the dirty man sneered and ranted about uppity kids breaking into his office.
"Yes ma'am." He huffed as he glared at the four first years sitting together.
"Now why were you in Mr Filch's office?" Minerva asked.
"I was wanting to complain about the horrid conditions of the girl's Loo on the third floor." Hermione said quickly.
"Everyone knows that's Moaning Myrtle's loo and taint nuttin I can do about that." Filch argued. "She's lying about that. I just oiled the thumbscrews. We could give them a bit of a turn." He grinned maliciously.
"Argus. You will not torture the students, nor even consider it a valid option. Place those implements in your personal quarters if you wish but they will not be brought out for student misbehavior." Minerva proclaimed angrily. "Am I understood?"
Filch bowed his head, "Yes ma'am." he reluctantly agreed.
"Now. I find that comment rather suspicious as well."
"I'm sorry ma'am. Auntie wanted me to get her a copy of the confiscated items list. I'm not sure why. I'm not good about the copy spell so was looking for a quill." Susan said. "Hermione and Neville were helping me."
Minerva raised her eyebrow at Neville who gulped and nodded, "Uh yes ma'am. That's what was going on."
"See Headmistress. They're all in cahoots with each other." he growled.
"Argus go tend to the corridors. I shall deal with this." Minerva ordered in frustration.
The man left mumbling to himself in a dejected and bitter tone. Harry thought he heard the words whip and pain.
Looking up at the painting of Dumbledore that had been placed recently nearby she frowned. Staring at the four she said, "Come with me."
Harry sighed as he followed the professor for another journey through the castle.
…...
Winding up at the hospital wing the four looked at each other in surprise. Minerva nodded to the matron before saying, "Poppy could you please examine Miss Granger."
"What am I examining her for?" the matron asked.
"A general examination would be a good start. General health, physical condition that sort of thing." Minerva said looking at Hermione.
The matron shrugged and drew her wand causing Harry to step in front of Hermione, "There's nothing wrong with her. She's just fine."
"Perhaps I should apply a purity test as well?" Pomfrey asked staring at Harry causing him to blush but not move.
"No that won't be necessary. I'm still a virgin." Hermione declared.
"I see. Then I have to ask you to tell me the truth. Please." Professor McGonnagal "From how far into the future have you come?"
"Excuse me ma'am?" Hermione tried to scoff but the look of shock betrayed her.
"I have been the first contact with many muggle-borns over the years. They are all excited, confused, and filled with amazement about the magical world. You were no different when I first met you. However since September first you have been rather blasé about a great many things. As if you had experienced them so often they had become common and almost humdrum treating them like you lost your sense of wonder." Minerva explained staring straight at Hermione. "Plus a few other behavior changes that are atypical for a first year, even a rather precociously intelligent one."
Hermione pulled a chair over and sat down, "Its kinda complicated. But please don't tell anyone. I'm scared of what the Ministry or the Death Eaters would do if they found out. Please?"
"I assure you this is why I brought you here. Poppy is bound by privacy oaths to not reveal anything told in her presence and there are no paintings in the ward. This is arguably the most private room in the entire castle." Minerva said using her wand to call several chairs over for everyone to sit in.
"Thank you. I just. Do I have to tell you?"
"It would be rather beneficial for me to understand what is going on. Also if you need help as you are a first year you do not have the freedom of movement or capability I do." Minerva explained.
"She has a point."
"Further time travel places an inordinate strain on the human body, even a full grown witch or wizard can experience problems with traveling more than an hour backwards." Poppy said with a shake of her head.
"I know. Blinovitch's first law. Only I think she found a way around that by burning up the sun and sending just her memories back to me." Hermione said with a sigh, "Only they got a bit scrambled and I'm not sure what all I know and how to remember it."
"From just how far did the future you send these things?" Minerva asked as Poppy stood to run her wand over Hermione's head.
"About a hundred years or so, give or take." Hermione said with a shrug.
"Oh dear. mental energies are quite elevated. I'm shocked you are able to remember or function at all."
"Well I have been having a few headaches. Especially if I try to push my mind to remember things that haven't happened yet." Hermione explained.
"Have you had any nosebleeds, bleeding from the ears or eyes?" Poppy asked looking into Hermione's eyes.
"No. Just a splitting headache if I try to force a memory. If I let them come on their own it doesn't hurt." she explained. "Only it makes it kinda hard to plan for things to happen."
"Yes it would. However it would be better for your health to stop trying to force it." Poppy said, "Your brain is trying to integrate over a centuries worth of memories while still collecting new ones."
"But there are things we need to prepare for. Things I need to remember."
"I believe you've already changed a great deal. How bad were things that you still have work to do?" Minerva inquired urgently.
"Quirrel has Voldemort in him." Harry said, "Dumbledore is scheming to do something and wanted me and Quirrel to face each other."
"And the Weasley twins have an item that Harry's father and his friends made. I didn't remember when they stole it from Filch so was going to try and steal it from him." Hermione explained.
"Well the twins will return on Monday so we may attempt to retrieve it from them then. As for," Minerva paused, "Voldemort being in the defense professor could you explain it more clearly?"
"He is being possessed, that's why he has the turban and the garlic. Its slowly killing him but the curse was going to get him before the year was up." Hermione said biting her lip.
"Well. This is going to be a rather interesting problem." Minerva began to rub her fingers together on her right hand as she looked like she was thinking.
"I could try to remember more." Hermione offered.
"No. I have a old friend coming to interview for the defense position tomorrow. You shall have a discussion with him. As shall Mr Potter."
"I have a Quidditch practice." Harry pointed out before both Hermione and Professor McGonnagal glared at him with pursed lips, "But I'm sure I can get Oliver to Understand I need to be in the hospital wing for this meeting." Harry finished with a sincere smile.
"It is good to see you sort your priorities out." Minerva replied acerbically.
"So what should I do?" Hermione asked anxiously.
"Do you have a notebook?" Minerva asked calmly.
"Uh yes ma'am." Hermione said, "I've been writing anything I remember in it already."
"Good continue to do so. Unless it is something of an immediate threat there is no need to tell me, however I would like to review this with you at the end of each week."
Hermione blushed, "I've been writing some personal stuff in it."
Minerva gave a slightly amused smile, "My dear. I assure you that I shall keep all of your writings secret and that there is very little that I have encountered, I am not a blushing young maiden."
Hermione looked awkwardly down but nodded saying, "Yes ma'am."
"As it is almost dinner time we shall forgo any further discussions. I do still want Poppy to examine you Miss Granger."
"Speaking of examinations, now that you are Mr Potter's guardian I need your permission for Healer Bricker to examine his scar."
"Yes. Go ahead and make those arrangements would you Poppy." Minerva authorized looking at Harry who nodded emphatically.
"Very well. Miss Granger, behind the curtain."
Once Hermione and the matron had gone behind the exam curtain Minerva looked at the other three, "I presume the three of you are local to our current time period?"
"Yes ma'am." They agreed.
"Good. I would also suggest you do your best to ensure that no one else finds out about this. Especially Mr Malfoy or Mr Weasley."
"I understand Draco but why not Ron?"
"His mother is very close to Albus and right now I do not trust him as much as I used to." She explained.
"Oh. So you think anything I say will get back to him?" Harry asked understanding the professor.
"Yes. And that may not be very beneficial given things that have happened." Minerva said with flaring nostrils.
They sat quietly for a few more moments before the curtain parted and Hermione rejoined them followed by the matron.
"Aside from her mental energies she is quite healthy, and untouched. She is also physically the age she appears to be. Beyond that I cannot detect anything unusual about her." The matron reported.
"Very good. There is one other thing I would like to discus with you." Minerva said gesturing towards the seat.
"Yes ma'am?" Hermione asked worriedly.
"Miss Bones your aunt has been asking me rather interesting and pointed questions about this entire situation, especially about Miss Granger. I feel that she could be trusted with this knowledge. Do you agree?"
Susan looked at Hermione before licking her lips and saying, "Yes I do. She is dedicated to upholding justice and not always the law. She has said what's right isn't always whats legal and what's legal isn't always what's right."
"Miss Granger? Do you find it acceptable that we include Madam bones into this circle?" Minerva asked.
"Ma'am Just how many people are we going to tell this to?" Hermione frowned.
"Among the adults, myself, Poppy, my friend who will be joining us to replace Quirrel and Madam Bones. No one else. All four of us are veterans of the previous war. We understand the threat and danger from information leaks. So your abilities will be kept quiet as much as possible."
Susan got a bright idea it appeared as she raised her hand, "What if we say she's a seer? That she gets flashes of insight into the future?"
Harry grinned, "It would be the truth, essentially."
Hermione giggled briefly before solemnly saying, "From a certain point of view."
"That would be a useful subterfuge." Minerva agreed with a smile. "So tomorrow after lunch report to my quarters. We shall have a great deal to discus."
"Yes ma'am." The four said before being dismissed.
…...
Hermione hugged Susan, "Thanks. That was a good idea."
Susan grinned as she hugged her back, "Of course it was. I'm just surprised none of the rest of you thought of it."
Neville shook his head, "I'm just along for the ride. I have no idea what is going on at all."
Susan snorted a giggle as she leaned against Neville, "Oh you."
Harry shrugged, "I'm with Neville. Everything has been happening so fast my head is swimming."
"Yeah I know." Hermione sighed as she took Harry's hand, "But at least its good thigns happening so far."
"I know." Harry agreed feeling her soft warm hand in his.
"So have you read Mr Lupin's letter yet?"
Harry looked reluctantly into the distance. When Hermione squeezed his hand he said, "No. I'm not sure what to say to him."
"I don't remember much about him. But I'll help you figure out what to say if you want." Hermione offered.
"Yeah I'd like that." Harry agreed, "Plus I need to write Luna back. She was asking if we had begun to kiss or touch each other personally yet." He said glancing sideways at Hermione.
"Oh joy. We are going to pervert that sweet innocent girl..." Hermione shook her head.
"Hey maybe we can get another Gryffindor. That would be awesome wouldn't it?" Susan excitedly said.
"I'm not entirely sure we can change her that much." Hermione pondered, "Although I suppose its a bit late to think about that."
"Well we'll see about that next year. The hat decides."
"And the dude abides." Hermione replied.
"You know you really need to explain what some of the things you say mean." Neville looked at her with a resigned expression.
Hermione giggled, "Well there was once this muggle movie about a dude in a bathrobe and his friends."

iftovrtunafish: Yes. But the prosecutor dropped that when the bombshell about Pettigrew was revealed. I've seen those things happen before. It may come back up later though.
Guest: This story is told from Harry's point of view. There are a great many things going on that he as is the audience is unaware of.
Smithback: Oh yeah. Twists and turns.
Yaw613: Working on it. Working on it. :-)
HoneyBear84: Patafarianism is definitely something out there. Lol. And yes. She definitely had a very sad story to tell.
