It's nice that you have a name you love. Ultimately, there really is no right or wrong there. It is worth noting that when Hunter announced he was going name his daughter Hannah, everyone who might have had an interest in what her name would be, including Heather, really liked the name Hannah so there was actually no opposition to the idea. FWIW, I gave Hannah's parents the of names Hunter and Heather because I just liked the idea of the whole family having first names that started with the letter H.

On the morning of Monday, February 11th, 1992, Amelia was visited in her office by Steven and knew what this meant.

"You've discovered another Horcrux, " guessed Amelia.

"Yes, " confirmed Steven, who was wearing black gloves.

Steven lifted up his left hand and showed Amelia a ring.

The ring was gold and inset with a black stone. This black stone was engraved with a straight line going down the middle of a circle all enclosed in a triangle.

"You told me to research Voldemort's family history," Steven reminded Amelia.

"And what did you find?" Amelia asked Steven.

"Amongst my searches, I searched the Gaunt shack, " explained Steven, "Merope Gaunt was Voldemort's mother and her brother Morfin was Voldemort's uncle. Their father Marvolo was Voldemort's maternal grandfather. "

"Good, " said Amelia approvingly, "I suspected it was possible that Voldemort might have hidden a Horcrux in the house his mother grew up in."

"It was hidden in a golden box beneath the rotting floorboards, " revealed Steven. "It was very obvious to me that I could hear that distinct Horcrux heartbeat from the ring."

"Yeah, I can hear it too, " said Amelia matter of factly.

"Let's proceed to the Dark Magic Room and destroy it, " said Steven urgently.

Amelia followed Steven to the Dark Magic Room and Steven removed his wand from his right pocket with his right hand.

Steven performed the nonverbal spell to produce Fiendfyre and quickly stepped back.

Steven then quickly threw the ring into the Fiendfyre and after a few seconds and a few nanoseconds performed the countercurse to extinguish it.

But this time, the Horcrux hadn't been destroyed.

The Horcrux was lying on the floor surrounded by numerous replicas.

"It didn't work this time, " sighed Steven, "Fiendfyre was able to destroy other Horcruxes."

"Why didn't it work on the ring?" wondered Amelia.

"My theory, " said Steven slowly, "Is that Voldemort specifically bewitched the ring not to be affected by Fiendfyre and also put a curse to cause it to multiply under the influence of Fiendfyre."

"Are you sure which ring is the Horcrux?" Amelia asked Steven, "If so, pick it up."

Steven immediately identified the Horcrux ring and picked it up in his left hand.

"This is the only ring with that Horcrux heartbeat, " declared Steven confidently.

"I suspect, " said Amelia clearly, "That while the ring could duplicate, the Horcrux part could not. I'm going to try to destroy the replica rings using the Reductor Curse."

"Okay, " said Steven simply.

Steven stepped backed and this time Amelia retrieved her wand from her right pocket with her right hand.

Ponting her wand at the replica rings, Amelia cried "Reducto!" and the replica rings quickly collapsed into dust.

Both Steven and Amelia breathed huge sighs of relief.

"At least we know the Horcrux part didn't replicate," said Amelia wryly.

"This is still the biggest challenge we've faced with regard to the Horcruxes, " sighed Steven,

"What now?" said Amelia tonelessly.

"What we know, " said Stephen clearly, "Is that, for a Horcrux to be destroyed, it has to be put beyond magical repair. A Horcrux must be destroyed with substances that are so destructive that they put the object beyond magical repair. Fiendfyre is the most destructive of such substances, but others do exist. I will think it over and get back to you on what to attempt next. I will keep the ring Horcrux safely in my possession until such time."

"Alright then, " said Amelia wearily.

Amelia returned home late that afternoon to find Heather finishing up teaching Harry, Amy, Susan, and Hannah about mandrakes as Sirius and Remus looked on. All seven of them were just taking off their earmuffs.

"Good news and bad news, " said Amelia glumly, "Steven found a Horcrux, a ring, in his search of a place called Gaunt Shack where Voldemort's mother grew up. The bad news is that Fiendfyre was ineffective against the Ring Horcrux . Throwing the Horcrux ring into Fiendfyre only made duplicate rings. Fortunately, the Horcrux itself did not replicate and I destroyed the duplicate rings via the Reductor Curse. Steven is now trying to come up with alternate ways to attempt to destroy the ring Horcrux."

Harry, Amy, Susan, Hannah, Sirius, Remus, and Heather all had uncomfortable looks come across their faces.

"Fiendfyre is the most destructive substance known to exist, " said Amelia in a businesslike voice, "But Steven believes that Voldemort specifically bewitched the Ring Horcrux not to be affected by Fiendfyre and cursed it to produce more rings if exposed to Fiendfyre. However, Horcruxes can be destroyed by any substance that is destructive enough to put them beyond magical repair. Steven is going to figure what our next attempt to destroy the Horcrux should entail."

"And what if that doesn't work either?" asked Harry edgily and nervously.

"It may take multiple attempts, " said Amelia calmly, "But Steven and I are confident we'll be able to get it done."

The room filled with a kind of uneasy cautious optimism.

The gut feeling amongst Harry, Amy, Susan, Hannah, Sirius, Remus, Amelia, and Heather was that the ring Horcrux would eventually be destroyed but that it might take a while to get there.
