When Dudley returned home from school that afternoon, he saw a woman he did not know or recognize standing behind his mom.

"Mom?" inquired Dudley, pointing at the woman, "Who is this?"

"This is Amelia Bones," introduced Petunia, "She is the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."

"Hello, Dudley," began Amelia kindly, "You're not in any trouble but I need to ask you some questions."

"Okay, Amelia," replied Dudley, "Do what you need to do."

"Dudley?" asked Amelia, "What were your own observations and interpretations of your parents' divorce?"

"On one hand," offered Dudley in a slow and thoughtful voice, "It seemed completely sudden and out of the blue. There were no indications of any issues in their relationship before their divorce. On the other hand, it seemed to be quite healthy for both of them. I've been living with mom here at Number Four Privet Drive since mom and dad divorced last October and I've noticed that mom seems happier and more comfortable since her divorce."

"I've also noticed," interjected Petunia, "That Dudley's behavior has improved significantly since my divorce."

"Dad now lives with his sister Marge," explained Dudley, "And those times I've gone over to visit dad and Aunt Marge I've clearly seen that dad is far happier and more jovial that I've ever seen him. With regards to my own improved behavior though, that has more to do with the fact that Harry hasn't been around lately. Though, oddly, I don't feel the old hate for Harry that I used to. None of it at all. Out of sight out of mind."

"You are making some good observations, Dudley," said Petunia approvingly.

"Indeed," confirmed Amelia, "Vernon and Petunia were under an enchantment to force them to marry each other. A wizard by the name of Albus Dumbledore had them under the Imperius Curse. That's a very dark curse that gives the spellcaster total control over the victim(s). Last October, Albus Dumbledore was found guilty of numerous crimes and sentenced to the Dementor's Kiss. That's a very dark and heavy thing and in the judgement of both your mom and myself, we feel it is best for you not to know exactly what that is. For now, just think of it as if Dumbledore died when he was given the Dementor's Kiss. The important point is that when Dumbledore was given the Dementor's Kiss, all of his spells and enchantments broke. Once Vernon and Petunia were no longer under the Imperius Curse, they realized they weren't right for each other and got an amicable divorce. Their marriage was part of Dumbledore's plan to control the life of Harry Potter. Part of his plan was to have Harry treated poorly here so that when he found life at Hogwarts better and happier Dumbledore as Hogwarts Headmaster would game his trust."

"I have tested positive for a trace amount of Hate Potion keyed to Harry Potter," explained Petunia, "Amelia thinks Dumbledore fed me this potion a long time ago and that its effects have mostly faded."

"I will need to test you for Hate Potion as well," said Amelia clearly.

"Okay, " replied Dudley.

Amelia pointed her wand directly at Dudley and made a few wand movements while performing some nonverbal spells.

"Dudley," revealed Amelia, "You have also tested positive for a trace amount of Hate Potion keyed to Harry Potter. Harry will be informed of what I have found out today and I believe he will forgive you, but not necessarily right away. My best guess is that he will be ready to forgive you and Petunia around Christmastime. However, he will never live here again."

"Of course not, " agreed Dudley, "Is he still at Hogwarts?"

"No," explained Amelia, "Harry, along with his three BFFs, Amy Alworth, Susan Bones, and Hannah Abbott were pulled from Hogwarts by my friend Heather Abbott after a mere day at Hogwarts due to a multitude of issues with the school, which has since been closed. Harry now lives at Abbott Manor along with his godfather Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, who were Harry's dad's BFFs, along with Amy, Susan, Hannah, Hannah's mom, who is Heather, and Susan's aunt, who is me. Heather homeschooled Harry, Amy, Susan, and Hannah in magic last school year. When the beginning of fall semester heralded the start of this school year, they began at Heather's new school of Magic, Skyward School of Practical Sorcery, where Sirius and Remus also teach and I visit often. Skyward School of Practical Sorcery is a boarding school where young witches and wizards learn magic. Harry, Amy, Susan, and Hannah call themselves the Yellow Quartet."

"I'm happy to hear his life has improved," said Dudley warmly, "But, to add on, mom is quite happy not to have deal with dad's overbearing personality and dad is happy to be away from mom's fondness for gossip. They don't visit each other and don't miss each other. As for Harry, I doubt he'd forgive us. Even if it wasn't our fault, we were pretty beastly to him."

"I think he will," said Amelia confidently, "I think he will be inspired by a friend to forgive. If I am right, you will learn more about Harry's friend and her journey to forgive around Christmastime. You will likely meet Harry's circle at some point. For, now, I'll let you and your mom enjoy the rest of your day and I'll get back to you if something else comes up. My guess is that I'll be seeing you both again sometime around Christmas. Bye."

"Bye, Amelia," chroused Dudley and Petunia.

Dudley and Petunia waved at Amelia cheerfully and she waved back at them cheerfully as Ameila left for the day.
