Winter laid on his bed, humming to himself when he suddenly looked up at the moons from through his window. Realising that the guards must be changing over, he made himself over to his door slowly opening it a crack, noticing there were no guards watching over his doorway.

He then looked around his room, finally his gaze fell onto a rather large black cloak. Picking it up, he found it to be rather light as he draped it over himself before making his way back to the door. He started fiddling around with the clasp with heightened anxiety, his adrenaline pumping as he was about to do something which went against his making sure the cloak wouldn't slip off him "Good, now lets go" He whispered as he opened the ice door more, slipping out of it as he, as quietly as possible, slowly making his way down the corridor, passing his parents bedroom and his siblings rooms along the way.

He suddenly froze, hearing someone move about in Hailstorms room, hoping Hailstorm wouldn't come out and check on him. Please don't. just stay in your room, please He begged while swallowing as he waited for it to become silent once more. Breathing out a sigh, Winter slowly carried on down the long corridor, reaching the stairs that made their way down to the throne room since the entrance was on the far side of the room, he looked around for a bit, making sure no guards were around.

Letting out a shaky breath, he began his way towards the entrance while the sound of his talon steps echoing slightly in the giant hall as he looked behind him. The side of the hall where the throne sat was in pitch black. He frowned at this, Brilzrar suddenly appearing next to him, making him jump as he said. (Come now Winter, we have no time to lose) He went past Winter, luckily remaining hidden from everyone else as he stopped just before the entrance. Looking back at Winter, his tail swished about while Winter made his way towards him. Though felt his spines rise up on his back as he heard a female Icewing talking to someone from one of the corridors.

(Winter, we need to leave now) Brilzrar growled softly, making Winter nod as he made a dash for the entrance, the cold hitting him as the blizzard was still going on, yet he was determined to leave as he made his way through the intense storm. His paws sunk into the snow as he sprinted through the icy storm, the winds howled as he kept on going. Never stopping to look back as the faint sounds of guards crying out his name, along with a few voices he instantly recognised.

"Where is he! He can't survive this!" Glacier roared out over the powerful winds. Winter felt relieved that no one had seen him, though he hoped the light from the moons didn't give him away as he continued to sprint towards the Ice wall, knowing that the whole Icewing army would now be out looking for him. (Winter, it would be wise if you brought your friends to the underground forest. That way I can show myself fully without having to hide and explain of the prophesy) Brilzrar said while he kept up with Winter, not struggling due to his immense size.

By the time Winter and Brilzrar reached the Ice wall. The blizzard had calmed down to a soft blowing snow storm. the snow blew gently against him as the sun shone brightly above him. Letting out a huff of frost breath, Winter looked up at the Icewall, oddly there was no one covering the wall as he started his way towards it, placing a forepaw against the chilly surface of it. "Well, there is no going back now" He mumbled to himself as he flexed his talons before digging the sharp talons into the ice. He tugged a bit at the ice, making sure it would hold his weight before he started to scale the giant wall while little pieces of ice fell from where his sharp serrated talons dug in. He felt that using his wings would make him far too detectable, as the sunlight tended to reflect off Icewing scales.

Continuing his way up the wall, he reached the top, standing on top of it as he took one last look back towards his home... his family. Taking a breath, he looked down as he thought on what he was about to do, flexing his talons slightly before leaping from the edge, snapping his wings open as he started to flap them. Heading in a straight line towards Jade mountain and the edge of the Rainforest kingdom.

The temperature slowly rose as he entered the Kingdom of sand where the Ice met the sand. Flying higher into the sky, he tried to make himself as small as possible. Brilzrar flew next to him with them passing a few wispy clouds while the sun, which was now two thirds of the way through the day, shone down upon them. Winter didn't really like the heat as he kept on rubbing his forepaws against his arms, neck and chest. Trying his hardest to stop the itching that ran over his body.

Brilzrar looked on with a serious expression, looking around to make sure no one was following them. He then looked over at Winter, letting a soft snort leave him as he spoke up. (I see you are struggling Winter. Perhaps we can land at that spot of oases) Pointing down at the plain of oases with a talon while flapping his wings at a slow pace. Winter looked down at the countless oasis below them, he didn't feel comfortable about landing, yet his body said otherwise. After a bit, he let out a sigh as he started to descend towards the oases, flapping his wings as to slow himself down before he landed softly on the sandy ground. at a quickened pace, he jumped into one of the bodies of water, feeling the liquid wash over him as he let out a pleasant sigh. Brilzrar landed next to him, kicking up quite a large amount of sand. Letting out a grunt, his eyes scanning over the dunes as far as he could see, for any sort of unnatural movement, he then noticed in the distance a formation of large rocky boulders, with some clearly being tall enough for someone to hide behind.

Glancing towards Winter, he noticed the small Icewing relaxing in the shallow water, he then looked back at the formation before saying. "Remain here, I need to check something out" Winter opened his eyes, looking straight at him as he gave a hesitant nod. "Remain here, and whatever you do... Cry out for help if anything comes near you" He then jumped into the air, flapping his wings as he sped towards the massive formation of rocks.

Brilzrar flew over the large formation, realising that it was far bigger than he thought, narrowing his eyes as he stared down at the red and pale yellow rocks, circling over as to make sure no one was hiding behind them. He then scanned the immediate area before diving down, flapping his wings a few times as he landed on top of one of the larger rocks, his talons scrapping against the rough surface while he attempted to steady himself. He looked over at where Winter was, not seeing anything close to the small Icewing as he then focused back onto the large formation, his eyes narrowing while he moved about on top of it, noticing that there were a few caverns which could easily hide a dragon the size of an adult Icewing, but he couldn't fit in, he jumped over a wide crevasse, digging his talons into the stone on the other side as bits fell down, as he tried to see every angle of the formation, even going as far as to blow fire into the large crevasse, seeing if anything or anyone was down there.

Finally happy that nothing was amiss, he jumped into the air, flying back to where Winter was, continuing his relentless watchful eye, scanning the formation carefully before looking forwards. In the shadows of the deepest part of the crevasse laid a giant cavern, a bipedal dragon who was a bit shorter than Brilzrar's bipedal form looked up at the opening, his eyes red as he suddenly changed into his quadrupedal form, countless scars covered his dark grey battle worn body, a few were larger than others as he jumped into the air, flying up and out from the safety of the crevasse, turning invisible while banking towards the east where his master was hiding.

Brilzrar felt something was off, he turned to look back at the rock formation, narrowing his eyes as he said to Winter. "Winter, we need to leave, this place is no longer safe" Winter looked at Brilzrar, hearing the urgency in his voice, he got up before climbing out of the Oasis. Shaking the water from his now cooler body. His paws dug into the soft sand as night slowly crept on them, the sun began setting slowly behind the large dunes as Brilzrar jumped into the air, Winter followed suit, flapping his pale blue wings as he caught up to Brilzrar. "Where are we going?" By now Brilzrar had become invisible to anyone else, only Winter was able to see him as he looked to his right at Winter.

"We are heading towards Jade mountain, where the school is located, you must grab your winglet and bring them to the cave where you found yourself in" He and Winter now flew in silence as Winter stared down at the ground that went by quickly. His eyes narrowing as he thought on how to encourage his friends to follow him, for he knew Qibli was very smart, and moon could read minds, he felt the need to not bring suspicion to what he was planning as he continued to fly beside Brilzrar.

After a few days of flight, Winter noticed Jade mountain in the distance, the forest was a welcoming sight as Brilzrar then spoke. "This is where I depart from you Winter. Remember to bring your winglet to the cave" Winter gave a nod as Brilzrar flew in the direction of the underground forest. Winter banked slightly to the right, making his way towards the large plateau where the entrance of the school was. Taking in a nervous breath, Winter calmed himself, putting on his cold harsh mask, hiding his worried and nervous side to him as he landed on the plateau.

"Winter! your back... so soon?" Turtle questioned, with the rest of his winglet coming out to meet him, confused expressions covered their faces as Qibli questioned. "Were you not to remain in the Ice kingdom?" Tilting his head to the side slightly, Winter growled, moving past his winglet, his cold scales brushing against moon while they all watched him pad into the entrance before making his way towards their winglet cave. Moon bit her lower lip gently, she knew her mother had told her to not look into others minds, yet she felt this was a good time to search Winters mind as she reached out, brushing her mind against his, only to be hit with a sharp almost spiky wall encasing his mind. He's blocking his mind... why is that? What is he hiding, obviously something he doesn't wish anyone to figure out She thought to herself, tapping a talon against her cheek before huffing out, a frown appearing on her face as she and the others followed after Winter.

Brilzrar flew down from the main entrance to the underground forest, landing heavily onto the soft wet grassy ground as his forepaws splashed into a shallow puddle of water, he suddenly changed, soft bright energy flowing around him, before disappearing as he stepped forwards towards where the spirits were waiting.

"Ah, it appears you and Winter are safe? I do hope nothing went amiss!" The Nightwing Spirit asked as she and the others turned to face him. "Indeed, Winter was sent back to the Ice kingdom. yet sneaked out at night before we flew back to Jade mountain" His voice had become slightly more gruff while he sat down, looking into the large soft fire when the Rainwing Spirit asked. "You seem troubled Brilzrar... What bothers you?" He glanced over at the colourful Rainwing, letting a puff of flame escape his nostrils while a puff of Frost breath blew from his maw.

"We stopped at an Oases field, I allowed Winter to relax in one of the Oasis. There was a large formation of sandstone, I went to check it out as I had a feeling... We were being watched, I searched the whole place, even blowing a bit of blue fire into one of the large crevasses to see if I could see anything, yet found nothing. And so went back to Winter. That's when I felt the eyes of someone on me and Winter, and we hurriedly flew away" He explained to the Spirits as they all looked at him. Worried expressions covered their faces when Polaris spoke up. "It seems we have less time than I thought... Brilzrar, after you have explained to the others on why they are part of this prophesy, I want you and the young dragons to go to the Ice kingdom. I fear that Queen Glacier and the rest of the royals are at great danger!"

Brilzrar listened to what she had to say, narrowing his eyes slightly before folding his arms while he listened to what the Spirits had to say.

Mean while Winter had gotten back to Jade mountain, he was at the moment talking to his friends, telling them how he had escaped such a fortified area. "And that is how I slipped past the guards, It wasn't that hard to be honest, they aren't the brightest in the kingdoms" He said, before biting his lower lip, wondering If he would really tell them about the underground forest, he looked at the wall of his winglet's cave, his mind drifting, thinking on how to say it to them. He suddenly heard Moon's voice, turning his head slowly to meet her gaze, he felt as if her eyes were burning holes in his soul, making him feel slightly uncomfortable as he heard her voice in his head.

(What are you hiding Winter?... I will figure it out, even if I have to break some rules to get It) The female Nightwing let out a soft snort, a bit of smoke leaving her nostrils before she and Winter focused back onto the conversation their winglet were having when Winter suddenly said. "What if I told you there was an underground forest that glows with a bioluminescence so bright and colourfu, you'll " All his friends looked at him, as if he had turned into a red Icewing, Qibli being the first to pipe up as he jumped off his sandy bed. "Winter... Are you sure you are okay?" He asked, placing a forepaw upon his Icewing friend, only for Winter to shrug it off with an eye roll.

"Perhaps if you just started to listen to me, I wouldn't have to explain every little thing in such excruciating detail!" Winter grumbled while getting off his ice bed slowly, exasperated by the constant suspicion and mistrust. Moon narrowed her eyes at him with suspicion, as she too climbed down from her bed while watching Winter head towards the exit. "Winter, stop right now!" She stormed up to him as he looked behind him. Being slightly taller than him, she stared straight at into his eyes with a frown. "You know something, what is it!" Her words dripped with more suspicion, which made Winter feel just that more uneasy around his friends, struggling to keep his cold heartless mask up. "It's nothing, I was going to ask if you guys wanted to see it, though it appears none of you trust me" He growled softly, turning back to face where he was going. Though Moon grabbed his tail with a forepaw, preventing him from leaving.

"No Winter, you are going to explain why you seem so differently lately... You aren't yourself" She went from a suspicious expression to a more concerned one, her eyes almost twinkling as she let out a sigh before adding on. "Look... Just show us this "forest" that you speak of. I wish to see if you are telling the truth" She pinched the bridge of her snout, shaking her head while Qibli made his way to her side, as did Kinkajou.

Winter narrowed his eyes at his friends, shaking his head as he let out a loud annoyed snort before saying. "First of all. I need to know if I can trust you to not speak of this, to Anyone" All his winglet friends looked at one another, only to then look back at Winter as, one by one, they all agreed " Good, now, follow me before we get caught" He waved a paw at them, telling them to follow him as they all made a dash for the entrance of the school.

Upon getting to the large expansive plateau, which had a few trees dotting the large area, grass painted the ground in a dark green as Winter suddenly turned to his friends, giving them a watchful look before nodding as he snapped his wings open, moving to the edge of the plateau before he jumped from it, flapping his wings while his friends, one by one, followed him towards where he was going.

The three moons, which were in the shape of crescents, hung in the night sky while Brilzrar flew behind the group. He had told Winter that he went to the cave when infact he had followed Winter undetected by the smaller Icewing. As he followed the group he suddenly felt the disturbing feeling that something, or someone was watching them.

The shivers ran all the way up his spine, something that humans feel when being watched from behind. He let out a shaky breath, hovering in midair before turning to face where his senses were telling him where this "figure" was. Yet, he saw nothing, just an empty mountain top as wind blew gently against his form, no one was there, which only made it that more disturbing.

"Something is wrong. Something is terribly wrong" Brilzrar said to himself as he turned and flew in the direction where the group of dragonets had gone to. (Polaris. I have a feeling me and Winter are not alone) He hoped she heard his telepathic voice as he sped towards the forested area. The faint sounds of laughter echoed from the forest, which was about a day's travel from the cave. Coming to hover over a large patch of dense forest, Brilzrar slowly and cautiously descended down through the thick forest canopy, looking around with nervous, worried eyes as dread started to pool in his stomach.

[God please tell me they are okay]
