Brilzrar loomed over the dragonets, growling softly, making sure Turtle and Kinkajou did as they were told, moving to stand beside their friends while Brilzrar stood over them, his blue eyes narrowed into slits, a sign he was Not in a good mood. Or, that was the impression he wanted to give since Winter knew Brilzrar wasn't naturally aggressive, though that did little to calm his nerves while he stared at Brilzrar, watching the large dragon lower his snout to each of his friends, saying their names, and yet... He seemed to deliberately ignore Moonwatcher. [why was that?] Winter wondered, putting a thinking face, tapping a forepaw talon against his chin as his eyes went from Moonwatcher to Brilzrar, then back to Moonwatcher.

"Listen up!" Brilzrar suddenly spoke with an unimaginably deep gravelly voice. "I have instructed Winter to bring you here for a purpose" He then turned to stare at Moonwatcher. "Though you can go and look around dear" He stared at Moonwatcher with a neutral expression, waving a forepaw at her to which she gave a confused look at, after a few seconds of standing still, Brilzrar looked back at Moon, growling softly at her which startled the young Nightwing, she gave a shaky nod, rushing away into the forest while the magical sun that was made by the powers of the spirits slowly turned all colours to that of the sunset, followed by the blankets of night, which melted into the colours of the sunset as the soft sound of flowing water and bugs filled their ears.

Qibli was about to make a dash after Moon when Brilzrar snapped his gaze to him, saying a spell which froze the young Sandwing in place.

"vilzriquath!"

Qibli suddenly found himself unable to move, he struggled to at least get one of his muscles to move, yet after trying a few times, let out a snort of frustration as he locked eyes with Brilzrar, watching as the giant dragon made his way around them, as if inspecting them, as Brilzrar passed Winter, he gently pushed the Icewing to the side, for he was already familiar with the young prince and his mind.

"I know you all are confused, upset, scared. But please, don't be, I mean no harm" Brilzrar said before sitting on his haunches in front of the group, staring down at them while folding his giant blue and yellow wings against his body. Glancing over at Qibli, he rolled his eyes before waving a paw at him, muttering another spell under his breath.

"kutol" Right as the word left his mouth, Qibli felt the power to move once more, flexing his muscles before suddenly launching himself at Brilzrar, yet the larger dragon was ready as he grabbed Qibli by the throat, holding him with a single forepaw, making sure to not injure the young dragon in any way, yet made sure to show who was in control here as he let out a low growl, which made the rest of the group cower under the intense gaze and power of Brilzrar.

"Don't do something stupid... Qibli" At this Qibli's eyes widened, not understanding how this mysterious dragon knew his name, he looked over at Winter, or tried to at least before asking.

"Did... You tell him?" The suddenly nervous Sandwing asked, his scorpion like tail curled up in fear, which was rare for Qibli to say the least, he then let out a yelp as Brilzrar opened his paw, dropping the Sandwing down onto the dry grass covered ground. Landing with a thud, Qibli scrambled to his feet, though froze as he noticed the intense stare Brilzrar was giving him, as if saying. 'Try that move again boy, I dare you'

Though using his common sense, Qibli let out an irritated snort, turning his head to the left as to look at Winter, his dark almost black eyes narrowing before barking out a nervous laugh. "He's been with you all this time hasn't he!" Rearing up onto his hind legs while continuing.

"That's why you have been acting so odd lately!" At this Winter looked to the right slightly, letting a bit of frostbreath leave his nostrils while Brilzrar spoke once more.

"Can you just listen to me, for moons sake Qibli!" Brilzrar placed a forepaw upon his snout, sighing to himself while Qibli and the rest of the winglet, except Moon, who wasn't here right now, looked at him. Brilzrar let out a sigh of frustration, shaking his head before focusing back on the group.

"Will Moon be okay" Qibli demanded an answer from the larger dragon, who in return rolled his eyes before answering. "Of course she will be fine, this cavern has no dangers within it, why would I bring you all here if it wasn't completely safe?"

Kinkajou made her way forwards, staring up at Brilzrar as she commented. "Why are you so... Big?" At this question, Winter let out another snort, almost like a scoff as he mumbled something out while Brilzrar replied to the Rainwing.

"I am an ancient race of draconian and human origin, my job was to protect both the human world and your world, and it still is, yet the original group of protectors, whom i commanded were slaughtered during the first grand war against the Chaoswings" He then laid on his side, his tail curing around his body as he continued to explain, all the while the dragonets listened on in absolute fascination to the story Brilzrar was telling.

"After we won the war, my whole group had been killed, Polaris, who was the Icewing Queen, was also the Icewing Protector of the group, each of the female protectors were royals from each of the kingdoms" He looked to his left, seeing Polaris floating there behind the dragonets, a sad look upon her beautiful features, he let out an breath as he finished with.

"Even after their deaths, the spirits of my 'sisters in wings' always stay by my side, helping me in training the next group of protectors of the lands, that is where you fit in" He looked over at Winter, watching the young Icewing's ears flick as he turned to gaze at Brilzrar, his eyes wide as he listened in.

"The first group of dragons i trained had a leader called Winter the first, He was around the same age of Winter here" He pointed to Winter, who tilted his head to the side slightly, for Brilzrar hadn't really explained this part to him until now.

"Winter the first was always determined to do his best for everyone, he was a natural born leader, and a very good fighter, It was only logical to pick him to be the next leader of the protectors since none of the other Icewings showed the same qualities as he did. After i had trained him and his group, who were a Seawing, a Skywing, a Rainwing, a Nightwing, a Sandwing and a Mudwing, the Chaoswings decided to try and attack once more, though were outmatched by the almighty strength of the new protectors. That being said, they didn't go unscathed, for the Mudwing Protector had lost her life during the war, as did the Nightwing"

He let out a sigh, he was growing tired of these silly wars, yet knew if he gave up now, the Chaoswings would kill everyone and the dragonets who are destined to become the new protectors wouldn't be ready. Taking a deep breath, he relaxed himself before starting to explain everything to the winglet.

Meanwhile Moonwatcher was dashing through the thick forest, bioluminescent plants and trees passed by as she suddenly found herself leaving the perimeter of the forest, long softly glowing green grass rubbed against her scaled underbelly as she continued to sprint through the open plains, a herd of the deer like creatures scattered when she came close to them, galloping away from the new predator.

after a few minutes of constantly running through tall grass, over rocky formations and massive old fallen trees, she finally came to the bottom of the giant waterfall. Coming to a stop she collapsed onto the now wet humid and muddy ground, not caring if she got covered in the sticky stuff while she continued to pant loudly, slowing her breathing slowly when suddenly, a large Nightwing came out from the dense rainforest. Moon yelped, getting up before backing up quickly, falling into the large pool that was at the foot of the waterfall, the larger Nightwing laughed, her feminine voice telling Moon that this was clearly a dragoness as she pulled herself out from the water, the sound of the roaring waterfall making it hard to hear much as she began her way away from the cascading waterfall. Her paws sinking into the muddy ground while the larger Nightwing followed behind her.

"W-who are you?" Moon asked when she looked back at the massive Nightwing, seeing the larger dragoness give her a warm smile while looking down at her, suddenly she spoke, her voice soft and gentle. "Hello dear, My name is Lady Seraphine, Please, follow me, for me and my fellow queens... Have a lot to explain"

Moonwatcher watched the larger Nightwing pass her, standing completely still as she fumbled with her forepaws as anxiety gripped her, biting her bottom lip before she slowly, and carefully followed Seraphine, who was waiting for Moon to follow her, her midnight blue underbelly along with her black upper body seemed silky in the soft glowing roots and tendrils of the forest. Making her way up beside Seraphine, Moon looked up at her, noticing the larger Nightwing staring down at her with her soft blue eyes, which was rare for a Nightwing.

"U-um... So are you some sort of... royal?" Moon asked, her tail snaking behind her while her wings bobbed slightly with each step she took, her and Seraphine's paws left prints in the wet soggy ground as the two dragonesses made their way through the ever thickening mushroom forest, countless thin glowing tendrils hung from the mushroom flat tops, waving about in the wind slightly as the two pushed their way through the area.

A cool breeze blew over the glowing forest while the two continued in a direction which led to what appeared as some sort of temple. A few statues stood outside, in front of a large flight of rocky stairs that led to a large entrance to the temple. Seraphine walked up the stairs like normal while Moon had to sort of jump from stair to stair, due to them being larger than normal stairs she was used to.

Moonwatcher looked behind her, looking at where she had ran from, biting her lower lip when Seraphine spoke. "Don't worry, Amazonia has already gone to tell Brilzrar where you are... And the others are fine, so relax little Moony" Moon's eyes widened, only her mother used that nickname for her, besides weird litt- "Weird little diamond... right?" Seraphine by now had looked back at Moonwatcher, a little smirk on her snout while Moon glanced down at the ground. [How did she know!] Moon cried in her mind, confused and scared on how Seraphine knew those secret nicknames... unless-

"Your a mind reader!" Moon yelped out after a few seconds of putting the puzzle pieces together, flaring her wings out slightly while Seraphine gave a nod. (Indeed i am little Moon, but please, follow me, me and my queen friends will explain everything) Her soft silky voice filling Moon's mind, making the young Nightwing to give a hesitant nod, slowly following Seraphine, their talons scraping against the pale yellow rocky stairs as they neared the top.

After what seemed like a few hours, Moon clambered to the top stair, huffing out softly while Seraphine laid on her side, having seemed to be waiting for the younger Nightwing to arrive. "Took you long enough" She said with a chuckle, climbing back onto her paws while Moon looked back at the forest, seeing just how far up they were now as a few white wispy clouds made their way past them. Nighttime covered the whole cavern like one giant blanket, the faint clicking of crickets filled her ears, as did the shuffling of Seraphine's paws against the dusty stone floor.

"Come along Moonwatcher, no time for a break, for the others are waiting for you inside" Seraphine spoke, by the time Moonwatcher looked up, Seraphine had almost vanished into the dark entrance, just her long snaky tail remained outside, though that was disappearing into the darkness too as her voice echoed out to Moon once more.

"come along now little one" Seraphine flicked her tail with a motion to follow her. At this Moon clambered to her paws, shaking the dust that had collected to her underbelly before making her way towards the giant entrance, which wasn't lit by any sort of light source.

Gazing at the patterns etched into the stone of the entry way, Moonwatcher slowly took a step forwards, followed by another one, moving into the entrance where the blackness of the unlit passage seemed to shimmer when she waved her left forepaw in front of her, as if brushing her paw against the surface of water. Gasping out she pulled her paw back, moving the individual digits which were her fingers.

Seeing that her paw was intact, she moved forwards some more, holding out her left paw, watching it get swallowed by the invisible sheet of darkness in front of her, though this time, she didn't pull back, in fact, she pushed forth her body, starting with her head, moving down her body to her wings, before only her tail was the last thing to snake it's way into the unseen force.

She suddenly found herself surrounded by a tunnel of rainbow colours, all dancing around her as a hum filled her ears, it only lasted a few seconds as she suddenly found herself in the middle of a giant chamber, the flooring made of bright blue gems which made patterns between large slabs of pure gold and and ruby.

Blinking a few times, she studied her surroundings some more, flexing her wings as she then tried to reach out to her friends with her mind reading powers, that was when a regal feminine voice sounded out loudly, echoing throughout the large chamber.

"That won't work here little Moon" Moon felt worry creep back into her, though as fast as it appeared, it suddenly disappeared, being replaced by a calming feeling which washed through her very soul. Closing her eyes, Moon let out a sigh, relaxing herself and slowing her quickly beating heart.

"That's it, calm yourself darling, we mean no harm, for we only wish to help you with your mind reading ability, and to also prepare you for training with Brilzrar" That name made Moon freeze, she had read that name in a half burnt scroll before, she knew that whoever this 'Brilzrar' was, must be someone extremely important. She frowned as she thought [Oh moons, who could this Brilzrar be? Well... we haven't really met any new dragons in the past two weeks...] Then her eyes slowly widened as it dawned on her, her blood running cold. [Unless that massive dragon is Brilzrar]

"That he is" Moon looked to her right, watching as a large yellow Sandwing came padding out from the darkness, stopping in front of Moon before giving a little bow of her head towards the smaller Nightwing. "My name is Lady Serketia, or better known as Queen Serketia"

"And i am Lady Amazonia" A rather large yet slender Rainwing came out from the shadows, followed by a Seawing.

"And my name is Lady Astarte, this Skywing by my side is named Lady Calliothra... And i'm sure you have already met Lady Seraphine" Serketia finished, pointing her tail tip at the large Nightwing who had curled up beside Astarte.

Moon looked around at the five dragons, her eyes wide in wonderment. [Just now... i felt as if i had been banished... another rejection... but now, i'm standing within the confines of a mystical palace, surrounded by five unknown dragons... who somehow know every little detail about me, yet i know as much as a grain of sand about them... I'm the odd one out, I am no royal!] Moon just stood there in silence, staring down at the patterned flooring while her mind rambled on, a whirlwind of thoughts filled her head, making the all too familiar feeling of anxiety slowly creep back into her, feeling that she just doesn't fit in anywhere, as if she was nothing more than a mistake.

"you are NO Mistake Moonwatcher!" A regal voice shouted out, white scales slowly appeared as a large majestic Icewing came out from the shadows, the sight before her made Moon look up, tears growing within her eyes while Polaris stopped before her, just staring down at the Nightwing who was clearly in distress.

"Relax yourself darling" Polaris cooed out to Moon softly, placing a forepaw against Moon's cheek gently, her scales weren't as cold as Winter's, yet were still cool to the touch. "You have been through far more than anyone else could handle, you are far more intertwined with the royalties than you think, and your special abilities don't make you a so called 'mistake' In fact, they make you as one of the most important and powerful dragons in all of history!" Polaris picked Moon up, cradling up in her forearms as if she was a small dragonet.

The pressure this time was just too much for her to handle, the dam suddenly burst as Moon broke down in tears, her body shaking from her sobs while Polaris kept her close to her icy cool body, allowing the youngling to expel the negativity and former rejection from her very soul.

(Polaris, are you there?! Moonwatcher hasn't returned) Polaris was careful to not attract Moon's attention while she contacted Brilzrar. Yet, she paused as she thought for a second, looking down at the still sobbing Moon, opening her mind up to allow the small Nightwing to read her mind and hear the upcoming conversation.

(Polaris, this is no joke! Where is the little Nightwing!) The sobbing suddenly stopped, making Polaris look back down at Moon, seeing the Nightwing looking up at her with wide eyes while Polaris responded.

(Moonwatcher is with us at the moment, she is fine, and has just finished emptying her mind of the worries she carried. You Brilzrar, have quite a bit to explain when us girls find you, for you frightened this girl more than you think!) The seconds ticked on, painfully slowly as no one spoke, Brilzrar kept quiet, as if thinking on how to respond to that. Moonwatcher laid her head back down slowly, tiredness washing over her like a blanket when Brilzrar suddenly responded.

(I meant no harm, but when she didn't come back, i became more and more worried, until it got to the point i was ready to rip the very earth open to find her... I... I am glad she is fine) The male voice said while Polaris stared at her fellow spirits when Moon suddenly piped up.

"W-who Is Brilzrar?" This caused Polaris along with the rest of the spirits to snap their gaze to Moon, eyes wide as Polaris said. "You shouldn't have been able to hear that conversation... this clearly proves my point. You really are more powerful than i thought... seems I will need to take extra precautions in the future" She chuckled before gently letting Moonwatcher out of her grasp, placing her onto her paws before Moon shook her body like a feline, shaking the remaining dust that clung to her body.

"We are known as the Spirits, all from each tribe, and are the original protectors of the lands. Brilzrar was my second in command when us girls were slaughtered during the first grand war against the moon sakes Chaoswings" Polaris growled, as did Astarte and Calliothra, Seraphine lashed her tail about, normally she was the level headed of the group, yet even this got her upset.

Moonwatcher listened to what the older dragons had to say, her ears flicking about while her tail snaked from side to side in slow movements.

"I don't understand... u-um" She looked up at Polaris, blinking a couple of times as she tilted her head to the side in an adorable way, her eyes wide while tucking her wings up against her body, using them as a sort of blanket while twiddling with her forepaws.

"Please do call me Lady Polaris" The Icewing gave a half smile, looking down at Moon once more before she continued talking. "Brilzrar is in charge of training you and your winglet for fighting the Chaoswings"

"But Polaris, My lady, aren't we to assist Brilzrar in training the next group of protectors?" Amazonia questioned, her head tilted slightly with a confused expression covering her face while making her way around the circle of female dragons, stopping beside Polaris as she glanced to Moonwatcher. Moon wasn't that much smaller than Amazonia, she seemed to be a bit taller than Winter, since Winter was the tallest in their winglet.

"That we will Amazonia dear, though first, i believe that a bit of payback is in order" she smirked at her fellow Spirits, who slowly got what she meant as they too hopped onboard with the idea.
