Vanessa's House
Thursday, December 20th2035
7:30 AM
Since the night of the attack, the house had been picked up and patched together temporarily. Most of the damage was to the windows in the dining room and kitchen. The broken windows were temporarily covered with sheets of plexiglass for now both inside and outside the house. Vanessa did her own temporary repairs in the meantime. The sheets were fastened to the house with screws on the outside wall and on the inside walls and window frame, so they could still get sunlight in and see outside without the cold air from the elements coming into the home. Vanessa managed to spend a few hours last night picking up whatever messes fell on the floor and letting insurance come in to figure out the cost of things that needed to be replaced.
Thankfully the living room and Christmas tree was completely intact. No bullet holes in that room, nothing damaged, the presents intact. The stove, microwave and refrigerator still worked so they could still make food, however the fridge had bullets lodged in the door that never made it through, but it didn't stop the unit from functioning and the bullets never made it to the food inside.
Eventually insurance would replace the appliances but most of them still worked in the meantime.
Gregory was mostly fine after the incident, by now he's used to crazy things happening in his life from time to time. But the last message Freddy sent him before he went missing kept him up all night. He couldn't sleep, Vanessa called the school to excuse him from class. She did her best to comfort the boy, but losing the anthropomorphic bear man he considered a father, along with the wolf woman he was very close to, who is just as close as his mother Vanessa, was eating at him. And losing Monty too had an impact, he was like the uncle he never had. He felt like he had to do something. He was happy to hear Chica was okay, he thought about asking Vanessa to take him to the Pizzaplex when she heads there for work, so he could go see her.
He got out of bed, and got ready for the day, even though he was only running on about 4 hours of sleep at best. Getting changed out of his black shorts and blue tank top he wore for bed after showering and changing into cargo pants, a grey shirt with the Glamrock Freddy lighting bolt on it and a blue zip up hoodie. Vanessa was downstairs getting breakfast ready, waffles, sausage and scrambled eggs were on the menu. The large 75 inch widescreen led tv in the living room on the wall was on showing the morning news.
Vanessa was already in her business attire. Today was going to be a very busy workday with the incidents at both the Pizzaplex and the fact that the Fazbear headquarters building is now gone. Thankfully the workers were based at the old HQ site are now ether working from home or moved to Fazbear's smaller office buildings scattered throughout the region. Vanessa's primary work site has always been the Pizzaplex, so she was mostly unaffected work wise. Some employees were relocated to extra offices at the Pizzaplex.
Gregory heard the incidents last night costed people some lives, including some friends of his mother and her co-workers. He knew it was going to be a difficult Christmas for many, even the FBI lost one of it's star agents in the chaos that unfolded around Hurricane last night.
"Morning Greggy, here I made you breakfast, waffles, sausage and scrambled eggs. I'm…sorry about Freddy and the others….I spoke with Marta last night and she assures me OAOS is going everything they can to find them, in cooperation with the FBI and with our own team, we will find them Gregory I promise. So far we know that Vanny took them, and she had the Faux Glamrocks helping her along with some other animatronics that have never been seen before. I'm going to my office to look over the data, Elizabeth had left me before she got arrested and in my meeting with the tactical team we will try to piece it all together. Foxy is taking over, since Freddy is no longer around…." Vanessa said.
"Mom, did you need to say it like that?" Gregory snapped.
"Sorry Greggy, I…didn't mean for it to come out that way. It's just…been a long 24 hours…." Vanessa sighed.
"Yeah…..it has, I barely slept last night. I'm sorry for snapping at you Mom. Thanks for calling the school to let me skip class today, after everything that happened last night. I don't think I'd be able to focus on class assignments today." Gregory said sitting at the dining room table. Vanessa served his plate of food with a glass of orange juice, and gave him a hug from behind and a kiss on his cheek.
"Gregory, honey, it's okay, I know your going through a lot right now. I am too, but at least we're not alone in this right?" Vanessa asked.
"Yeah….your right mom." Gregory said.
Gregory ate his meal, as the news in the living room went on about the chaos in Hurricane last night. The footage shows the Fazbear HQ building burning, footage of the Faux Glamrocks on security camera, a chase on the highway that ended with an FBI SUV exploding and photos of the corrupt police chief of Hurricane and news that his remains were found near a treatment plant. The news sensationalized it as the Hurricane Massacre.
"Let's turn that off, I think that's enough." Vanessa said grabbing the remote and turning off the television.
"Mom, can I come with you to the Pizzaplex today?" Gregory asked.
"Are you sure you just don't want to take the day to rest Greggy?" Vanessa asked.
"I just really wanted to talk with the others since last night. I've been worried about them, especially Chica and Cassidy." Gregory frowned.
"Sigh…Okay, finish up and then will head out." Vanessa said.
