Pizzaplex 2F – Rockstar Row – Mangle's Apartment

Mangle had finished her training session with Chica a few hours ago. Chica had to open Mazercise for customers, with staff coming in to help run the juice and protein shake bar inside. She already had a few sessions booked with clients.

Mangle came back to her apartment, still in her workout attire, to find Evan and Michael are watching tv in her living room, catching up on current events while Clara was in the kitchen making lunch for them. A couple of BLT sandwiches, Evan's favorite.

"Oh hello Mangle! Glad to see you again, did you want a BLT?" Clara asked.

"Thank you but I'm good for now. How did you guys sleep?" Mangle asked.

"The couch took some getting used to but otherwise great. I don't think I've slept that well in a long time." Michael said.

"Yeah sorry about that, if I had another room here, I would have absolutely offered it." Mangle said.

There was a knock at the door.

Mangle opened it to see Vanessa.

"Hey…" Vanessa said, as Mangle nodded and stepped to the side.

Her father could now see her. Michael immediately got up to see his daughter.

"Vanessa….it's me…."

"Dad…." Vanessa nearly broke down into tears, embracing the man that raised her.

"It's really me…." He said nearly tearing up himself.

"That night of the incident….I knew that was really you there, speaking to me." She cried.

"It was, I…found a way, but now I get to really be here with you." He said.

They broke their embrace.

"I'm just glad your actually here…again….and I don't even care how….there's so much catching up we need to do." Vanessa said wiping her eyes.

"Yeah…." Michael said with a smile as he wiped his eyes.

Clara and Evan were curious about Vanessa. Michael has told them of her and how during the years they were dead, Michael met someone and became a father, his lover at the time, giving birth to Vanessa before she passed on at the hospital same day. Whatever spark his former wife Andrea held, she give it up so Vanessa could be born. That spark, Vanessa inherited it, she was the light of Michael's life during a time where he was constantly dealing with the aftermath's his father's misdeeds at the various Fazbear locations he would work at as a guard to try and sabotage or destroy to free the souls trapped in the old animatronics. The souls of the children his father killed in his pursuit of his obsessive research on Remannt, and the science of life and death.

After his wife has passed, his daughter Vanessa, was the one thing he would always look forward to coming home from one of his night shifts, and he would do anything while he was alive to protect her and make sure she's safe, especially from the Afton family curse of somehow being involved with Fazbear or his fathers schemes. Michael had no one else at the time except Andrea's sister Amelia, who helped take care of her when Michael couldn't. At the time Michael's immediate family was dead and gone, he was the last surviving member of the original Afton household aside from his father who spent some time in jail for his murders. While Michael was dealing with the aftermath of being scooped and continuing life as a corpse, Vanessa was being watched over by Andrea's sister Amelia, under the guise her father went missing when he didn't come home from one of his shift one night. Vanessa was old enough to use the phone to call Amelia. She would be raising Vanessa for the rest of her years, as she would grow into the woman she is today. At the same time Michael was missing, William was freed from jail and would eventually sneak back into the old Fredbear's Family Dinner location to finish his work and in the process end up dying in a Spring Bonnie suit caused by a springlock failure.

With the exception of her visions and dream with her fathers spirit during the Pizzaplex incident, Vanessa had not actually seen her father in person since she was a little girl.

This moment was everything to her to be re-united with him, in his new body.

Michael noticed Clara and Evan walking up to him. So did Vanessa.

"Michael…is this?" Clara asked.

"Yes….mom. Meet your granddaughter. Vanessa." Michael said.

"Your…my grandmother…Clara…I can't believe it's really you. Dad has told me so much about you." Vanessa said.

Vanessa looked at the woman, she felt like she was practically looking at herself. Now she knows where the blond hair and green eyes come from. Clara much like Michael was brought back to life in a new young body, aged in mid-twenties. Evan was still brought back at the age he died at originally.

Clara wanted to cry, this was the Vanessa her Michael had told her so much about. She could now also see the resemblance between her and Vanny. But the latter's appearance didn't spoil the moment for Clara, because she knows she's talking to her real granddaughter.

"Come here dear." Clara pulled Vanessa into an embrace, Vanessa did not resist, returning the hug.

"I don't even know where to start." Vanessa said.

"It's okay, will have plenty of time to catch up." Clara said.

Evan cautiously walked up to them, then hesitated for a moment because when he saw Vanessa, he thought of Vanny instead. The woman who kept claiming she was his new mother, the woman who wanted to replace his mother. She was terrifying, he was just as afraid of her as his own father.

Mangle saw this and walked up to him. She kneeled down next to him as Vanessa looked on. Vanessa felt bad for Evan. She had a feeling the boy is mistaking her for Vanny, her evil doppelganger.

"Hey seastar, I know it's scary but I promise. They may look alike, but Vanessa is not Vanny, she doesn't have a single evil bone in her body, she's the sweetest. If it helps, Vanessa existed before Vanny ever did. Vanny is just a phony copy of the real thing. And Vanessa is your family, she's your niece believe it or not." Mangle said.

"Okay….does that make me an uncle now?" Evan said.

"Yes it does, I know it's weird because Vanessa is biologically older than you, but trust me, she is your niece. And she just want's to say hi to you and get to know you, since she never got the chance to…." Mangle said.

"Mangle….I remember….I know….." Evan said shocking her.

"So you do remember? Don't you?" The fox said with her ears down.

"All of it…" Evan said.

Michael's head tilted down with his eyes closed, he hated thinking about the incident.

"But…but….that's not important right now. I want to get to know Vanessa." Evan said walking up to her.

"Hi I'm Evan." Evan said.

Vanessa kneeled down, Evan was smaller than Gregory was during the Pizzaplex incident. He was biologically younger than Gregory by a couple of years.

"Hi Evan, I'm Vanessa, it looks like you and I have some catching up to do. My dad…Your big brother, has told me so much about you. You remind me of my own son Gregory." Vanessa said.

Clara's eyes widened. She felt like she was going to faint.

She already has a son!? Good god I have missed so much…

"You two have the same style sense. But Evan, I'd really like to get to know you and the rest of the family, I never got to meet any of you growing up. Would you be okay if I spent more time with your brother, your mother and you? I could even introduce you to Gregory at some point." Vanessa said.

"I'd love that." Evan said hugging Vanessa, she smiled and hugged back.

Once they were done hugging, things got serious.

"Dad…I wish we reunited under different circumstances. We both know why you're back to life along with grandma and Evan." Vanessa said.

"I know, father is at it again and this time his plans are on a much grander scale. He's finally met his life goal of coming back to life in a new human body fitting for him, becoming immortal as he's always wanted, but that's not enough to satisfy him anymore." Michael responded, his expression serious.

"I saw some of the data we have on the situation, I know he and Vanny are planning something big this time, Elizabeth handed me a copy of the data, but some of it is encrypted and we can't gain access to it without the proper passkey." Vanessa said.

Elizabeth rang alarm bells in the Afton's heads.

"Wait. Elizabeth. Is this our Elizabeth Vanessa, my sister, your aunt?" Michael asked.

"Yes…it is the one….she's come back in a new body. Vanny brought her back…" Vanessa said.

"Then you cannot trust her! You know how dedicated she is to my father." Michael snapped.

"Dad..you don't understand…she's different this time…and she looks a lot like me…." Vanessa said.

"No…I tried to save her Vanessa, I tried so hard, but it turn's out your grandfather worked his way into her head so much….she's no better than him." Michael said.

Kellen, and Heather came in to interrupt.

"We have company." Kellen said holding his iPhone up to Vanessa. Kellen's security camera feed for the pizzaplex was up on his iPhone.

Fugitive turned OAOS agent, Elizabeth Afton was at the front doors walking into the lobby.

"Tell security she is not a threat, tell her I am at my office in Rockstar Row." Vanessa said.

"You are making a mistake daughter." Michael said.

"Trust me you'll see dad." Vanessa assured him.
