Draco approached the door of the room his parents were speaking in. Lillian was back at the table, crying and wailing over the news she found out, seconds prior.
"Lillian is a sweet girl. Our son loves her and I'm not going to have him anymore distraught than he already is." Narcissa told her husband.
"You act like you approve of our son loving a half blood! It's wrong! He should know better! If Voldemort ever finds out, he would be considered a blood traitor!" Lucius snapped.
"I know, Lucius, but listen to me. Draco would never forgive us if we send her in. She could be enslaved or even killed. I don't want to do that to our son. I don't want him to find out that the girl he loves is gone." Draco's throat was clogged at his mother's statement.
Of course he would be devastated if Lillian died, but he was questioning another statement his mother made. Did he really love Lillian? He never thought of it until that moment. It all made sense to him now. He missed her every day. He hoped for her to come back to him. The desperation he felt as he searched for her in battle had to be love.
He felt guilt overwhelm him as he realized he loves a half blood, not a pureblood. Plus, she was Harry Potter's sister. I'm a blood traitor. He thought in disbelief.
Lillian came over beside Draco, listening to his parents intently.
Lucius yelled. "Fine! We will keep her here! But we know the risks! If Voldemort ever finds out, all three of us are dead."
"We will be extra careful to hide her properly." Narcissa replied.
Lucius agreed. "The party is in two days. We can put her in the cellar. We have to make sure she isn't seen or we are all dead." He gazed back at his wife. "Are you sure you want to do this? We are betraying the Dark Lord. If he ever suspects her, he will kill us, including Draco."
Narcissa remained silent for a little while until she finally murmured. "I'm sure. Our child loves the girl. We're not about to send her to death or a life of misery."
"You know." He paused, deep in thought. "We could turn her in and then get her right back. We wouldn't need Moony anymore."
"Draco won't allow her to be treated like an elf in this house! Besides, we'd risk her being killed. She's Harry Potter's sister. He could murder her instead. Draco would blame us!"
He grumbled at her words. "So for years we are just going to keep her here for our son? Listen to yourself. It's absurd."
"Got any better ideas? If she leaves here, she'll be in the hands of the other death eaters."
"That's a good thing! Our son doesn't need to be around this Potter girl. She is a half blood!" He screamed.
Lillian's tears began once again as she heard Lucius's angry voice. Draco placed his hand over hers, squeezing it, trying to comfort her already troubled mind.
"Draco has gone through enough! I'm not sending her out there to die!"
"Stop downplaying what she truly is! She's half muggle!" Lucius screamed back.
"And our son wanted the girl alive in battle! He searched for her even though he was terrified! Shouldn't we have the courage to help our son protect the girl? He risked his life for her." Draco's mom demanded.
Lucius once again grumbled underneath his breath. "Yes." It was clear he didn't mean it. He then spoke louder. "If this is what you want, darling." His frustration was clear on his face as he walked closer to the door.
The two teens ran to their seats and sat silently as the man slammed the door behind him in annoyance. Draco glanced back at his father as he came out. Lucius looked over at his son, then at Lillian. His eyes lingered on Lillian until he turned and walked off elsewhere.
Narcissa came out of the room in silence. She stood beside her son, placing a hand on his shoulder. "She's not going anywhere."
Lillian sighed in relief as Narcissa turned toward her and exclaimed. "Lucius is not going to hurt you or turn you in. You have my word."

The next morning, Lillian sat on her bed, deep in thought of yesterday's events. She couldn't grasp that the war had been won by the wrong side. They were killing muggle borns. They were turning half bloods and blood traitors into servants. It was sickening. She felt sick, not knowing the future of her existence. After all, it only took Draco's father to change his mind and she's gone. She would be in the hands of Voldemort either dead or forever living a life of servitude.
Draco's mother came into the room, bringing a plate with her. She handed her the plate. "I came in to talk to you about the party." She sighed. "We are having a party tomorrow in celebration of winning the war. We must put you in the cellar or you'll be caught."
Lillian shook her head in reply. Narcissa continued. "You'll be alone for hours. If anyone comes over near the entrance, I want you to stand back and get as far from the entrance way as possible. Don't make any fast movements and do not be seen!"

The next day around noon, Draco and his parents led Lillian down a dark staircase into the cellar. Lucius opened the door, pushing her inside. "Stay in the back away from door! If anyone comes in, makes any noise or anything strange happens, go the farthest you can the other direction. Do not be seen! If you are, you'll kill us all!" He screamed in rage. The girl was still close to the door, fearful of the dark beyond.
Draco told her. "It's for a few hours. I know this place is scary but-"
Narcissa quickly interrupted her son. "You have to be out of sight!" She pointed toward the dark and cold concrete beyond.
Lillian stepped backward into the cellar, further away from the door until she was fully surrounded by darkness.
"We will be back as soon as we can." Draco affirmed.
Lucius locked the cellar, turned and marched back upstairs with Draco and his mom following him.
Lillian was surrounded by pitch black and even the silence was too much to bear. All she knew was that this would be the longest few hours of her life. She sat down behind a pillar, thinking of her brother being there with her, getting her mind off of Voldemort winning the war.

Draco stood in the corner as the music started blaring. He was annoyed that they were celebrating murdering and plundering. As the death eaters came in, he had hoped no one payed attention to him. He didn't like these people, especially Voldemort and his aunt, Bellatrix. Their very existence terrified him.
Soon the Malfoy Manor was filled with death eaters from all across the land. Some had brought their new servants which made Draco feel even more sick to his stomach. Bellatrix's laugh made the party more loud, frightening, and obnoxious.
He sensed Voldemort sitting at the dining room table in thought. As Draco glanced at him, he saw the Dark Lord staring directly back toward him. His face showed a hint of hate, desperation, or anger. He couldn't tell why it felt as if his eyes were glaring into his soul. It was like the Dark Lord hated his existence.
All of a sudden, he heard Bellatrix jump on the dining table, laughing with a wine glass in her hand. Draco couldn't tell if she was drunk or not because she seemed her like her normal self. She's probably just as crazy normally as she is drunk. Draco shrugged and rolled his eyes.
Draco searched around to see others drinking alcohol, dancing to the music, or making out in the corner. He was getting tired of this ruckus. He just wanted peace and quiet.
Suddenly, Draco heard a voice that made his skin crawl. "Silence!"
You could hear a pin drop as the Dark Lord rose from his seat, beginning to make a twisted laugh. "Harry Potter is dead! But there are still followers out there, including his sister. If you have any information on where they are, report to me immediately. Meanwhile, a toast-" He raised his cup. "To my official rule and the deaths of all traitors!"
The rest of the death eaters praised him with a toast. Then, Draco recognized a familiar face, Professor Snape. Before Draco could catch his breath, the man had pulled him aside into a quiet space where no one was around.
Snape's first question shocked Draco. "Do you know where Lillian is?" He seemed concerned.
"No! Of course not! Why would I know?"
Snape cornered him at the wall, preventing his escape. "She's your friend, isn't she?"
"Potter's sister? No! We were but not anymore. Why are you asking about her?"
"You are lying! The Dark Lord is looking for her, that's why!" Severus snapped as he left the boy alone. "And I would watch out. Voldemort is looking at you like he is done with you. Something is suspicious about Voldemort lately. Like something is bothering him and I'm going to find out what it is." He told Draco.
"Let me know you when you do that. Meanwhile, leave me the hell alone!" Draco yelled as he turned and walked out of the room onto the balcony, gaining his composure.
