David and Emma arrived in Storybrooke a couple hours later. It was a rainy night. "So this is where mom and the rest of the kingdom is trapped" Emma said. "Let's hope so" David said. He hoped the old man was right and this was where James and Regina cursed everyone. He had spent the last 18 years searching for them with no luck. The town was oddly quiet. No cars were on the road. David stopped his truck and him and Emma got out. David looked up at the clocktower. The clock said 8:15. "8:15? The clock must be broken. It's 9:30" David said. Emma thought about something. "No dad. I think it's frozen" Emma said. "What do you mean" David asked clearly not catching on. "Didn't you say that Rumplestiltskin said time would be frozen and everyone would be trapped in time? Dad I think this is it. I think we found them" Emma said. David looked at Emma and gave her a small smile. "I hope your right" David said.

"Mr. Mayor" David and Emma heard a voice call out from across the street. They both looked at the man that the voice came from. David smiled. "Jiminy" David said. Emma looked at the father. "Jiminy as in cricket" she asked. David nodded his head. "Mr. Mayor what are you doing out so late? Shouldn't you be home with your wife and son" the man asked. "Jiminy it's good to see you" David said completely ignoring his question. The man looked at David confused. "Who's Jiminy? I'm Archie Hopper. Remember your son's therapist" Archie said. Now David looked confused. "You look like some we know" Emma said covering for her father. Archie looked at Emma. "Who are you" he asked. "Emma Nolan and this is my father David Nolan" she said. Archie looked at David confused. "Your not the mayor" he said. David finally came back to his senses and shook his head. "No I'm not the mayor. I'm here because of a job. I'm the new detective here" David said.

"You look so much like the mayor" Archie said staring at David. "That's because the mayor is his twin brother. That's how he got the job" Emma lied. David looked over at Emma. Emma smiled at him. "Well welcome to Storybrooke" Archie said. "You wouldn't happen to know where the mayor lives would you" Emma asked ignoring her father's concerned looks. "Yea it's just right up on Mifflin street. It's the biggest house on the block" Archie said. "Thank you" Emma said smiling at Archie. "Hey if either one of you needs someone to talk to or something my office is right down the street" Archie said handing David a card. David took it and smiled at him. "We're fine thank you. Do you know where the police station is" David asked. "Yea just make a right down this road and it's at the end of the next street" Archie said. "Thank you. Listen we should be leaving" David said. "It was nice meeting you two. Have a good night" Archie said as he left.

"Should I be worried that your so good at this lying thing" David said to Emma. "Not really I got the information that we need now let's find mom" Emma said walking over to the passenger side of his truck. "Wait a minute" David said. He unhooked the yellow bug from the back of his truck and took out the keys and threw them to Emma. "Go look around town for a little bit. I'll call you when I'm done" David said. "Done with what" Emma asked. "I'm going to the police station then I'm going to give my brother a visit" David said. "So you believe this is where the curse bought everyone" Emma said. David nodded his head. "We just talked to Jiminy Cricket. I'm positive we're in the right place" he said. Emma walked over to her car. "Hey Emma" David said. Emma turned and looked at him. "If you find your mother don't approach her. Wait for me. We should do it together" David said. "Sure dad" Emma said. "I love you" David said. "I love you too dad" Emma said. They both got in their cars and drove off.

David arrived at the police station and walked in. When he got inside he saw someone he knew sitting behind a desk. His brother and Regina's huntsman. The huntsman had helped him escape from them once before. He never forgot that. It makes sense they would have him work at the police station. David walked up to the desk. "Hello I'm David Nolan. I'm here about the new job opening" he said. The huntsman didn't look up from his papers. "Oh yes my names Graham. I'm the sheriff here and I will be" Graham stopped talking when he finally looked up at the man standing on the other side of his desk. "Mayor James to what do I owe this pleasure" he said. David shook his head. "No my name is David Nolan. I'm the mayor's brother. I heard about a job opening here" David said. "You're the mayor's brother. He never talks about you" Graham said. "Yea were not really close. I was kind of hoping that by coming to town I could make amends with him" David lied.

"Oh I see. Well I hope that works out for you. It'll be good to have a little help around here" Graham said. David smiled at him. "That's why I'm here" he said. "Can you start in the morning? I was just about to go home" Graham said. "Sure do you know somewhere I could stay tonight. Me and my daughter just got in town" David said. Graham smiled. "You have a daughter" he asked. "Yea Emma she's exploring the town. We don't have anywhere to stay" David said. "There's a couple of town houses on the other side of town. One of them has no one in it but it's about to be sold so you can only stay there tonight. I'll give you the address" Graham said. David nodded. "Thank you that sounds great" David said as Graham handed him a paper with the address on it. "I'm going to lock up now. I'll see you in the morning" Graham said. "Absolutely" David said. He walked back to his truck and got in. Everyone was here and they don't know who they are. Him and Emma had their work cut out for them.

David drove to the mayor's house. He parked outside and took a deep breath trying to keep his anger in. James and Regina were the reason he wasn't able to be with Snow for 18 years. They were the reason Emma didn't have a mother for 18 years. They were the reason his family was broken for 18 years. This reunion was 18 years in the making. David got out of his car walked through the front gate and slowly walked up to the front door. When he got to the front door he rang the bell and waited for someone to answer. When the door opened he was surprised by who he saw. A little boy who couldn't have been more than 10 answered the door. He was in pajamas obviously about to go to bed. The little boy stared at him in shock. David smiled at the little boy. "Hi my name is David Nolan. Are your parent's home" he asked. The boy just kept staring. "Dad" the little boy said. "Henry who's at the" James started to say but stopped when he saw his twin brother standing on the other side of the door.

"Henry go upstairs get ready for bed. I have to talk to my brother here for a second" James said his eyes not leaving David. David was stunned. He couldn't believe James and Regina had a son. "Brother? You never told me I have a uncle" Henry said. "Henry this is David he's your uncle. Now go upstairs. Me and your mother will be up there after I talked to my brother" James said his eyes still not leaving David. "But dad" Henry started to argue but was cut off by James. "I said go upstairs now" James said sternly looking at Henry for the first time. Henry knew better than to argue with his father so he quietly walked upstairs. James walked out of the house and closed the door after him. "So I see you finally found" James started but was cut off when David punched him in the face. "Well it's nice to see you too David" James said rubbing his nose. "Where's Snow" David growled. James laughed. "Wouldn't you like to know" James said. Before David could punch James again the front door opened.

"Charming" Regina said surprised. "Regina" David said glaring at her. Regina looked at her husband and saw him rubbing his nose. "Are you OK" she asked checking it out herself. "I'm fine. David here just got a little too excited didn't you David" James said. "Where's Snow Regina? She has to be here somewhere. Everyone else is" David said. Regina glared at David. There was no way she was going to let him find Snow. "I'm sorry you came all this way Mr." Regina stopped her sentence waiting for a last name. "David Nolan" David said. "Well I'm sorry Mr. Nolan. There is no Snow here" Regina said. David was really mad now. "Well then whatever the hell my wife's name is here. Where is she" David asked fuming. James and Regina looked at each other. "How about we make a deal" James said. "A deal? Who are you Rumplestiltskin" David asked. James smiled ignoring that comment. "We'll tell you where your wife is if you tell us where someone is" James said.

"Who" David asked. "Your daughter" James said. David was shocked. He wasn't expecting that. There was no way he was going to tell James and Regina where Emma was. He was going to keep her safe from them. "No deal" David said. "Come on David. She's my niece after all. I just want to meet her. You met your nephew. I just want to see her and let her know how her mother abandoned her because she didn't love her and wanted nothing to do with her" James said. That was it for David. He charged at James and pinned him against the a pillar. "James" Regina called out trying to help him but David was too strong. "The only reason Snow hasn't been in Emma's life for the last 18 years is because of this stupid curse you two cast. Snow loves Emma and let's get one thing straight if you go near my daughter or my wife you will get more than just a bloody nose" David said punching James again. David let go of James and he fell to the floor. Regina ran to check on him. David left and saw Henry watching him leave.

Regina helped James into the house and onto the couch. "Let me call a doctor for you" Regina said. James shook his head. "No I'm fine. Don't worry everything will be fine" James said. Regina got ice from the kitchen and put it on James's nose and sat down next to him. James held the ice to his nose and took Regina's hand. "Hey we're fine. You know that right" James said. Regina shook her head. "If David is in town that must mean his daughter is to which means" Regina started to say but James kissed her. "Nothing. It means nothing" James said. "How can you say that? His daughter is supposed to break the curse" Regina said. "Yea but they don't know how. Trust me them being in town will be a good thing" James said. "How so" Regina asked confused. "Now not only is Snow White going to suffer but we can make my brother suffer to. Besides everyone in town is scared of us. My brother will not be able to do anything without us knowing. We can keep an eye on him" James said and Regina smiled kissing him.

Emma had been driving around town for about 30 minutes. This town was so big. She figured it had to be. The whole kingdom was here. She was starting to get hungry and knew her dad would be hungry soon to so she figured she'd get them both food. She was going to get they're favorites. Cheeseburgers. It wasn't much of a birthday meal but at least she would be spending the rest of her birthday with her best friend. All she needed was her and her dad and she'd be happy. She saw a place called Granny's and parked the car. She got out and walked to the entrance and when she walked in she bumped into someone who dropped their purse and the books they were holding. "I'm so sorry let me help you" Emma said bending down and helping the woman pick up her stuff. "Thank you that's so sweet of you" the woman said. When the woman looked up at Emma she froze. Emma couldn't believe who she was looking at. Her mother was right in front of her. She would know her mother anywhere.

"Mom" Emma said without thinking. "Excuse me" the woman said. Emma realized her mistake and tried to fix it. "Sorry you just look a lot like my mother" Emma said. The woman smiled. "That's all right. I'm Mary Margaret Blanchard" Mary said holding out her hand. "Emma Nolan" Emma said shaking her hand. "I haven't seen you around. Are you new in town" Mary asked. Emma nodded. "Yea me and my dad just arrived in town. He's the new detective" Emma said. "Oh so he'll be working with Graham. That's good Graham's a good man. I better get going. I have to wake up early tomorrow. It was nice meeting you" Mary said. "You two" Emma said watching Mary leave. Her heart broke. She just met her mother and she had no idea who she was. Emma dreamed of this moment her whole life. This wasn't how this was supposed to go. She thought she could do this but she couldn't. She ran out to her car and drove away. She had to get out of town.

Emma had been crying for about 15 minutes. She knew her mother was cursed but it hurt that her mother didn't know her. She couldn't stay in this town knowing her mother didn't know who she was. Emma's phone rang. She looked at it and saw that it was her dad. She answered. "Hello" she said. David could tell she was crying. "Emma what's wrong" he asked concerned. "I met her dad" Emma said. "Met who" David asked. "Mom" Emma said. "Emma I thought we agreed" David started but Emma interrupted him. "I know dad. It was an accident. I was going to get us food and she was coming out of the diner. She didn't know who I was dad. She had no clue" Emma said. The storm outside was getting really bad. "I know princess and I'm sorry. That's why we have to figure out how to break the curse" David said. "I'm sorry dad but I can't. I can't stay in town with mom not knowing who I am. It hurts to bad. I thought I could but I can't" Emma said. "Emma please" David said. "No dad I'm leaving. I'm going back to" Emma started to say but then a wolf jumped out on the road. Emma swerved to avoid it and hit the Welcome to Storybrooke pole and hit her head on the steering wheel which wound up knocking her out. "Emma! Emma are you OK" David yelled into the phone worried that his daughter wasn't answering him.

In the enchanted forest Geppetto was building the wardrobe that would save Snow White Prince Charming and their daughter from the curse with his son. He knew they would come back and save them. He believed in them. That's why he hated lying to them that only two could go through the wardrobe. Three people could actually go through the wardrobe but he couldn't tell them that. If he wasn't done with the wardrobe by the time Snow gave birth they would go through it with their daughter and he had to make sure his son was safe no matter what. On the other side of the castle Snow stood out on the balcony outside of her room. "I can't do this" Snow said walking into the room and over to her husband. "We have to Snow" Charming said. "I can't just leave the kingdom to be cursed. All of our friends are here. Our whole kingdom is here" Snow said. Charming hugged Snow. "I know. I don't want to leave everyone here to be cursed either but it's the only way. We'll go in there and we'll be safe from the curse and when she's 18 we'll make sure she breaks the curse" Charming said. "He said it would be on her 18th birthday. Everyone will be cursed for 18 years" Snow said. "I know. I don't want to leave my mother here to be cursed either but we have no choice. Emma will break the curse" Charming said. Snow cried. "I got faith. We will save our kingdom" Charming said. Snow smiled at him grabbed his face and kissed him passionately. Suddenly she stopped kissing him a pained look on her face. "What is it" Charming asked. Snow gasped and held her stomach. "The baby" Snow said. She felt a contraction. "She's coming" Snow said. Bells started to ring and Charming and Snow looked out their window. "So is the curse" Charming said. He looked at Snow and held her knowing there was nothing he could do. The curse was coming and so was his baby girl and his family was about to be torn apart.
