David and Emma were across the street the school. Emma looked at her father confused. "Dad what are we doing here" she asked. "We're going to talk to your mother" David said. He saw Mary Margaret standing outside talking to a couple of kids. He started to walk over but Emma stopped him. "Dad I'm all for talking to mom and I get that you've missed her for the last 18 years but how does talking to her help Henry" she asked. "Next to James and Regina she spends the most time with him. Maybe Henry said something to her without them knowing that could help us. Besides James said something about Henry being in therapy so maybe she knows where his therapists office is and maybe I have missed her a little bit" David said. Emma looked at her father sadly. "We're going to get mom back" she said. David smiled at her. "I know we will" he said. "Let me know how it goes" Emma said walking away. This time David stopped Emma.

"Your not coming with me" David asked. Emma shook her head. "No I have a lot of work to do in terms of trying to figure out a way to break the curse. Plus I already talked to her alone. You two haven't had any alone time since we got to Storybrooke. This is your chance" Emma said. David smiled at his daughter. He had been meaning to try and talk to Mary alone since he arrived in town he just never got the chance. He was hoping if nothing else they could form a friendship. At least that way he would still have Snow in his and Emma's life. It had been 18 years without her and he missed her. He wanted nothing more than to be with his wife again but the truth was until the curse broke he wouldn't truly be able to be with Snow. His family was still going to be broken until this damn curse was broken. Emma walked away and David sighed. This was going to be the first time he would talk to his wife alone. He gave himself a little pep talk in his head. He was really nervous.

David walked up to Mary. "Excuse me" David said. Mary turned around and smiled at him. "Mr. Nolan it's nice to see that you stayed in town" Mary said. Mary couldn't help checking him out. He looked really good in his leather jacket and tight jeans. She couldn't help but look at the little bit of his chest that was exposed through the unbuttoned part of his shirt. She was definitely attracted to him but she figured someone that good looking wasn't single so she pushed the attraction she felt to him to the back of her mind. David smiled at her noticing her checking him out. He still thought even with her new short hair that she was the most beautiful woman in any land. Even here with her cursed they were still attracted to each other. The curse couldn't stop that. "You can call me David" David said politely. "Oh sorry I didn't realize" Mary said meekly. David looked at her and frowned. She wasn't as confident as his Snow. James and Regina really took away her confidence and made her a unsure and meek woman.

"Do the mayor's know your still here" Mary asked. David nodded. "Yea they know and they aren't to happy about it either" David said. Mary smiled at him. "Yea they don't seem to like you very much" Mary said. "We have a very complicated history" David said. Mary looked away and shook her head. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to pry" she said. David put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "It's OK. It's just something I don't like to talk about" David said. Mary nodded. "Well I'm happy you decided to stay" she said. David gave her his big smile reserved just for her. "You are" he said. Mary nodded again. "Well you and Emma. I'm happy your both going to be staying in Storybrooke" Mary said. She looked around. "Where is Emma" she asked. "She had some stuff to take care of. She just got a job at Granny's" David said. Mary smiled widely. "That's great" she said. "Can I ask you a favor. James mentioned Henry's in therapy. Do you know where I can find the doctor" David asked.

Following the directions Mary Margaret gave him David reached Dr. Hopper's office. He knocked on the door and walked in. Archie looked up from his paperwork at David. "Hey" David said putting on a friendly smile. "David Nolan. I was Just reading about you" Archie said getting up and picking up the newspaper that had the story about David in it. "What can I do for you? Do you or your daughter need therapy" Archie asked. He put the paper on his desk. "No we're fine. Actually I'm here about one of your patients. Henry Mills" David said. "I'm sorry I really shouldn't" Archie said. "I know. I'm sorry but I have reason to believe he might be in danger so I'm going to need his files" David said. "Danger from who? Not his parents" Archie said. "I really am going to need those files" David said. "I'm sorry Mr. Nolan I can't" Archie said. "Well let me ask you a question. How long has he been seeing you" David asked. "I've been seeing Henry for about the last five years" Archie said.

"Has he ever given you any reason to believe that James and Regina are hurting him or something" David asked. "As I'm sure you know Henry's parents are very complicated people and their attempts to bring him closer have only backfired. It is my professional opinion that they haven't done anything physically damaging to him. I can guarantee to you Mr. Nolan they love him" Archie said. David sighed. He hated playing this card against his friend but he needed to see those files for himself. "Dr. Hopper if you refuse to hand over Henry's files I will come back with a warrant and take them forcefully. I really don't want to do that so as I said before I'm going to need those files" David said. He felt bad but he had to try to help Henry and seeing if he ever said anything to Archie about James and Regina doing anything to him was the first step. Archie raised his hands up in surrender. "I don't want any issues from the sheriff's department. Let me get you those files" he said walking over to the filing cabinet.

"Thank you" David said. Archie took out Henry's file and handed it to David. "I hope you find what your looking for Mr. Nolan" Archie said. David took the file from him. "I'll give it back when I'm done with it" David said. Archie nodded and walked toward the door and opened it. David walked out of the room. "Mr. Nolan" Archie called after David. David turned around and looked at Archie. "If you ever need anyone to talk to about anything I'm right here" Archie said. David nodded and left the building. Archie closed his office door and walked over to his phone. He sat in a chair and waited for the person to answer. "You were right he was just here. He asked for the file just like you said" Archie said to the person on the other end of the line. "Did he take the file" James asked. "Yes how did you know he was going to come here" Archie asked. "I'm the one who gave him the idea. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to get back to my lunch with Henry" James said.

"Oh your taking my advice. How's that going" Archie asked. James looked over at Henry who was sitting in the booth eating. "Very good. We're having a good time and are bonding. You were right. Now I have to go. Have a good day Dr. Hopper" James said as he hung up the phone. He walked back to the booth and sat down across from Henry. "Who was that" Henry asked. "Just one of the investors who needed my help with something" James said. Henry shrugged and went back to his meal. James looked at his son and smiled. He knew having Henry approach David and Emma would worry them and that would get David to make a stupid mistake like he just did. His brother was too predictable and he knew he could use Henry to bring him down.
