In the enchanted forest Prince Charming was in a carriage to King Midas's castle for his engagement party to King Midas's daughter Abigail. She was sitting across from him not enjoying the journey. Charming just sat there thinking about how much this sucked. His father was obsessed with power and wanted this marriage to go through because than his father would have control over King Midas's kingdom. His father planned to kill King Midas once they were married. He had never said this to Charming but he knew his father all too well. He was abusive and power hungry. He didn't care about him or his mother or James. James. Everything went to hell with James and Charming hadn't seen his brother since that night. He wished James would just forgive him already. He missed his brother. Now he was the only son still living home with his mother and father and that meant he was his father's pawn to get more power.

Charming wanted to refuse his father when he told him he had to marry Abigail but he knew better. If he didn't do what his father wanted his father would take it on him and his mother. He wasn't really to concerned about his father taken his anger out on him. He had been doing that his whole life. He still had scars on his body from where his father had beaten him. He had grown kind of numb to it. He was more concerned about his mother. She didn't deserve any of the pain his father would surely inflict on her. If he refused Charming was worried his mother would be on the receiving end of his father's anger so he kept his mouth shut and just did as he was told which is why he was here now in this carriage with Princess Abigail. "What do you think of the view, my dear" Charming asked. Abigail opened her fan and started fanning herself. "I've seen better. This is taking forever. We should have taken the troll bridge instead" Abigail said as they hit a bump.

"It would have been far less bumpy" Abigail said as Charming just looked at the pouch in his hand filled with his family jewels. His father told him to give them as a gift to the king. It seemed like a friendly gesture but it wasn't. They were cursed. His father put a curse on them. Anyone who touched them would belong to his father. Charming hated this. He was able to disenchant a couple of them but some of them were still cursed. He was going to get rid of the cursed jewels when he had the chance and give the disenchanted ones to the king. He would deal with his father later. He didn't want anyone else going through what he had gone through his whole life. Abigail looked over at him staring at the pouch. "Are you even listening to me" she asked her fiancé. "Yes, of course I am" Charming said looking away from the pouch and up at her. "Whoa! Whoa!" they heard the driver shout from outside the carriage. "Now what" Abigail asked.

Charming got out of the carriage leaving the pouch on the seat. He was going to assess the situation and see what was happening. He looked back at Abigail sitting there annoyed and sighed. How did his life come to this? He walked over to see what the situation was. "Warry not, it's but a fallen tree" Charming called back to Abigail as he walked over to the fallen tree. "Fellows, shall we" he said to the guards as he reached the tree. Charming went over to the end of the tree and examined it. Back at the carriage Abigail heard a thump on the roof of the carriage. She assumed something fell on top of the roof like a branch or something. She rolled her eyes. Even this forest is falling apart. Charming ran his hand over the end of the tree looking at it curiously. One of the guards noticed him looking at it curiously. "My Lord, what is it" the guard asked him. Charming looked at the guard. "Look at these markings. This tree didn't fall. It's been cut. It's an ambush" Charming said looking back at the carriage.

A hand reached into the carriage and took the pouch off the seat. The thief got on a horse and rode off. Abigail screamed in fright, which alerted Charming to the robber and he ran after the robber transforming into his dragon form to chase after the robber. Charming flew high in the sky keeping the robber in his sights. They had no idea what they had just stolen but Charming was going to get the jewels back. The robber rode deeper into the forest as Charming dived. He held his claws out as he reached the robber and hit them with his claws. They fell off the horse and Charming landed next to them transforming back into his human form. "Show your face, you coward" Charming said as he grabbed the robber who was on the floor. He pulled back the hood about to punch the guy in the face but was shocked when he saw a girl laying there. "You're a girl" Charming said in disbelief lowering his fist. "Woman" the woman laying there corrected him.

Charming was so busy staring at her face he didn't see her hand go for a rock. Charming continued to stare at her in disbelief as she hit him in the face with a rock. Charming grunted as he hit the ground. The woman got up and ran to a horse as Charming also got up. The woman got on the horse and rode off. Charming started to chase after her but stopped after she got to far. "You can't hide from me! Wherever you are, I will find you" Charming yelled as he watched her ride off. She looked back and smiled at the Prince she just robbed as Charming rubbed his chin. He watched as she rode off disappearing deeper into the forest.
