In Storybrooke David was at the sheriff's station trying to figure out who the intruder was who broke into his house. He was able to get a new gun and badge after reporting them stolen. "Did you see what this person looked like" Graham asked. David shook his head. "No I took a shower and my gun and badge were missing and so were most of my clothes" David said. "That's weird. Maybe you have a stalker. Maybe you and Emma should stay with me for a little while" Graham said. David shook his head. "Thank you for the offer but we'll be fine. I can protect us. I'm going to find whoever this is" David said. Graham wasn't sure David and Emma staying alone in the townhouse was a good idea anymore. "I really think it would be better if you and Emma weren't alone" Graham said. Once again David shook his head. "I can handle this. Don't worry everything will be fine" he said. Graham shook his head. David was stubborn and he just hoped his stubbornness didn't get him or Emma seriously hurt.

"So what does Emma think about this" Graham asked. "She doesn't know and I would appreciate it if you didn't tell her" David said. Graham looked at David shocked. "So your lying to Emma" he said. "It's not really lying. I'm just not telling her what happened" David said. "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean Emma would want to know" Graham said. "She would just worry and I'm fine obviously. It's probably just someone playing a joke. I mean all they did was steal my clothes. If they wanted to hurt me they could have hurt me when I was taking a shower. I was an easy target. I'll find this person bring them in and hopefully get some of my clothes back" David said. Graham sighed. He wasn't going to get through to David. "Alright fine. If you say so. Maybe you should put up cameras around the house though that way if they try to break in you can catch them" Graham said. David nodded. "That is actually a really good idea" he said.

Graham left the station on a call and David sat at his computer looking to see if he could find anything from the cameras that were on the street lights. If David was being honest he was scared about this intruder. He was just trying to put on a brave front in front of Graham. He was scared that something bad would happen to him or Emma. He knew he probably should have taken Graham's offer for him and Emma to stay with him but he didn't want to worry Emma. He could handle this. He just had to find out who this person was. He looked at the surveillance video starting from the night before and was shocked at what he saw. Someone completely covered from head to toe was walking into the townhouse. He zoomed in and tried to see a face but their face was covered. David looked at the timestamp and saw that it was 11:30. This person was in his house while he was sleeping. David saw that about 15 minutes later he walked out of the house with a bag full of stuff.

David looked through all of the surveillance videos trying to find out where this person went after they left the house. He couldn't find anything. Whoever this person was they were good and they knew about the camera's on the street lights. David continued to look for the next two hours. When he was done with his shift he saved the videos and the little other information about this person he had on his computer and left the sheriff station. He was very excited because he was going to be heading over to Granny's to meet Mary. He got in his truck and drove away completely unaware his stalker had been watching him the whole time. They watched David pull out of the sheriff's station and then walked in. They put a gift they had wrapped in his desk with a note and logged onto his computer. They deleted the videos and all of the other stuff David had saved. He would have to do better than that if he was going to find out who they were.

David arrived at Granny's and saw Mary sitting at a table talking to Emma. David smiled. They were building a relationship and that made David happy because he knew that was all Emma had wanted since she was a little girl. David walked over to the table and sat down. "Hi David" Mary said. "Hi Mary. Hi Emma" David said. "Hi Dad" Emma said smiling a big smile. Her parents were on a date together. All she ever wanted was to see her parents true love in front of her and not just read about and now it was finally happening. She was so excited. "Are you OK Emma" Mary asked who looked weirded out at the way Emma was smiling. Emma nodded her head. "Yes I'm just so happy for you two. I'll go get you some drinks" Emma said and walked away. David smiled at Mary and was about to say something when his phone rang. He saw it was Graham and sighed. "Excuse me for a minute. I have to take this" David said. "Of course" Mary said nervously.

"Graham listen now is really not a good" David started but stopped when Graham started talking. Mary watched as David listened to what Graham was saying and he looked shocked. Emma walked over with their drinks smiling until she saw her dad's face. "What's going on" she asked Mary. Mary shook her head. "I have no idea" she said. "I'll be right there" David said and he hung up the phone. He stood up from the booth and looked at Mary sadly. "I'm really sorry but I have to go. Maybe we could take a rain check on this date" David said. "What's going on Dad" Emma asked. "It's the John Doe. I have to go" David said. "OK well I'm coming with you" Mary said. "I don't think that's a good idea" David said. "Whatever is wrong with the John Doe it's both of our problems. We were both there last night when he woke up. I'm coming with you" Mary said not asking his permission. David knew better than to argue with Snow when she made her mind up and if Mary was anything like Snow he knew he would lose this argument.

"Fine you can come" David said. "I'm coming to" Emma said. David and Mary looked at her. "Don't you have to work" David asked. "Well my shift ends in 5 minutes" Emma said. "No Emma your staying here" David said. Emma shook her head. "Dad we both know I'm going to follow you anyway so you might as well just let me go" she said. David knew she was right. She was definitely Snow's daughter and he knew he would lose this argument too. He sighed. "Fine you can come but you do everything I say is that understood" David asked. Emma nodded her head. The three of them left Granny's and drove over to the hospital. They saw Graham standing outside of the John Doe's room. "Graham what's going on? It sounded bad on the phone" David said. "He's missing" Graham said. Graham turned around and looked in the room. David Mary and Emma looked in the room too and saw John Doe's empty hospital bed and James and Regina standing over it. David glared at them. He didn't know why they were there but he didn't like it and he was going to find out if they had anything to do with Fredrick disappearance no matter what he had to do.
