In Storybrooke David and Mary followed Emma who led them to where Graham was. Graham was fixing his tie when they arrived which David noticed. He looked between Emma and Graham. No it couldn't be. His daughter and his partner would never start a relationship with each other. He was just imaging things. Emma looked at her father knowing what he was thinking. She avoided looking at him and looked at Graham instead. "Graham why don't you show them what we found" Emma asked. Graham nodded. "Good idea follow me" Graham said running ahead. Emma David and Mary followed him. Graham stopped and shined his flashlight on a branch. David Emma and Mary looked at it. "Is that" Mary started to ask. "Blood" David said. "We think it might be John Doe's" Emma said. "Yea he had to come this way" Graham said. "Do you think he's OK" Mary asked. "Well his blood being on that branch isn't a good sign" Graham said.

"Well wherever he is we have to find him. I say we split up again. Graham and Mary you guys go that way me and Emma will go this way. If anyone finds him you yell" David said. Everyone nodded and they all separated Graham and Mary going one way and David and Emma going the other. David looked at Emma. He had suggested they split up so that he could keep Emma and Graham away from each other. He was sure there was something going on between the two of them but he didn't want to come off as paranoid. All he wanted to do was protect Emma. He had seen guys hurt her before and he didn't want another one too. Plus she was his little girl. He didn't want her dating especially not his partner. David sighed. This wasn't a conversation he wanted to have with her but he knew it was one they had to have. "So what's going on between you and Graham" David asked. Emma looked at her father shocked. "What do you mean" Emma asked.

"I mean do I have to get my shotgun out" David said. Emma rolled her eyes. "Dad nothing is going on between me and Graham" Emma said. David looked at her skeptically. "Are you sure because you both fixing yourselves when I was around and you suggesting you two go off alone. It looks a little suspicious" David said. "You don't need to worry Dad. There's nothing going on" Emma said. "Emma I'm your father. I'm always going to worry about you. I've already seen you get your heart broken before and I don't want to see it again" David said. Emma smiled at her father. "Well no one's going to break my heart" Emma said. "Are you sure" David asked again. Emma nodded her head. "I promise there's nothing going on. You're the only man in my life" she said hugging him. He smiled and hugged her back. "Good let's keep it that way" David said. They continued walking deeper into the woods. "So what about you and mom? Am I finally going to have my parents back together" Emma asked hopeful.

"I don't know. I mean we haven't had a proper date yet and we're dealing with this right now. Maybe now isn't the right time" David said. Emma stopped her father. "Dad now is the perfect time. You guys have been separated for 18 years. I think it's time we were a family" Emma said. David smiled at her. "I want that more than anything but it's hard. I can't talk about our relationship with her. I just thought the first time we found her it would be different. It's just so hard" David said. "I know it is. It's hard for me to. I finally found my mother and she can't know that she's my mother. She can't know that all I ever wished for every birthday was to get the chance to meet her but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to have a relationship with her. Eventually I will break this curse and we will finally be a family but until then I then I think we should just enjoy the fact that we finally found mom and spend as much time with her as we can" Emma said.

David smiled and pulled her in for a hug. "Your right. We should just be grateful we found her and everyone else" he said. All of a sudden they heard a twig snap. Emma's head snapped up. "What was that" she asked. "Fredrick. Go find your mother and Graham" David said. "What are you going to do" Emma asked. "I'm going to find Fredrick and make sure he doesn't hurt himself. Just find them and bring them here" David said. Emma nodded her head and ran off back down the path they came from. David walked where he heard the twig snap not aware of Fredrick waiting for him. David was walking right into Fredrick's trap and he didn't know it.
