In the enchanted forest Charming was flying through the night sky. He had to meet with Lady Tremaine. Him and Snow sometimes traded with her because she had the best crops in all the kingdoms. The problem was she was always unreasonable. She would never come to any sort of agreement easily. It was always a battle. Charming hated dealing with that woman but he had to do it. She also hated that Charming was married to Snow. She always tried to sick her creepy daughter on him. His mother was friends with her so he had to be nice to her. Well as nice as possible anyway. The reason she was so well off was because of his mother in fact. Maleficent had given Lady Tremaine wealth and status because they were friends. He didn't know what that problem was but he knew his mother gave her everything she had including her creepy daughter unfortunately. Charming landed a couple feet away from her house and morphed into his human form.
Cinderella watched as her stepmother and stepsisters left for the ball. She swept outside as their carriage pulled away. She looked at the castle and saw fireworks going off. She wished she could be there but there was no way that would ever happen. "Excuse me" a voice said behind her. She jumped and turned around holding the broom out in front of her for protection. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. My name's Prince David and I need to talk to Lady Tremaine" Charming said. Cinderella looked the prince up and down. He was a very handsome man. "You just missed her. She left for the ball" Cinderella said. Charming nodded. "Well I guess I'll try again tomorrow. Thank you…" Charming started to say but realized he didn't know the women's name. Cinderella smiled and bowed. "Ella" she said. Charming smiled at her. "Well thank you Ella. It was nice meeting you. Oh and you don't need to bow" he said.
Cinderella shook her head. "I didn't mean to offend you your majesty" Cinderella said. Charming laughed. "You didn't offend me and you can call me David" Charming said. Cinderella looked at him confused. He wasn't like most other royals. "Why aren't you at the ball" Charming asked. Cinderella shook her head again. "My stepmother forbade it" Cinderella said. Now Charming looked confused. "Why would she do that" Charming asked. Cinderella shrugged her shoulders. "She says I'm an embarrassment to the family and I'd just embarrass the prince" she said. Charming shook his head. "That's not true. I know Thomas and he wouldn't be embarrassed by you" Charming said. Cinderella smiled at him. "You think so" she asked. Charming nodded his head. "I know so" he said. "Why don't you just go to the ball" Charming asked. Cinderella looked down. "I don't have anything to wear or anyway to get there" Cinderella said. "I think I can help with that" a voice said.
Cinderella turned around and saw a fairy approaching her. Charming knew that this must be her fairy godmother. "Do not despair dear. You will attend that ball" the fairy godmother said. "Who are you" Cinderella asked. "She's your fairy godmother" Charming said. The fairy turned to Charming and bowed. "How are you today Prince Charming" she asked. Charming nodded his head. "I'm good. Me and Snow are happy. Everything's fine" he said. "What about your mother? How is she" the fairy godmother asked. Charming nodded his head again. "She's good" Charming said. "That's good to hear dear" the fairy godmother said as she grew bigger. Cinderella backed away a little scared. Charming smiled at her. "Don't worry she's here to help you" he said. The fairy godmother nodded and turned to Cinderella. "I'm here to change your life Cinderella" she said. "My stepmother told me that I couldn't go. She forbade me to leave" Cinderella said shaking her head.
"Your stepmother doesn't have this" the fairy godmother said pulling out a wand. Charming smiled knowing what was about to happen. "This wand has the power to take you to your ball to your prince and to.." the fairy godmother was saying when she suddenly blew up. Cinderella and Charming both jumped back shocked as her wand fell to the floor. "What happened" Cinderella asked. "I don't know" Charming said. "I do" James said coming out from behind the house. "All that sappy talk was making me sick" he said as he walked over to the wand. "James" Charming growled. James went to pick up the wand but Charming used his magic to wrap him up in vines and pinned him against the wall. "What did you do" Cinderella asked horrified. James smiled. "I got what I wanted" he answered. Charming shook his head. "I don't think so. Your not getting this wand" he said. James looked at Cinderella. "I can give you everything you want. I just need that wand" he said.
"Don't trust him Cinderella. My brother's lying. That's all he knows how to do" Charming said glaring at his tied up twin. Cinderella glared at James also. "Why should I trust you? You killed my fairy godmother. She was trying to help me" Cinderella said. "Trying and failing" James said turning to look at David. "You know David I'm not the only one who wants that wand. I'd be careful with that thing" James said. Before Charming could react he was brought to his knees by a powerful blast of magic. He screamed out in pain and dropped the wand. "Thank you dearie. I'll be taking this now" Rumplestilskin said stepping in front of Charming and taking the wand. Rumplestilskin waved his hand and the vines fell from James. James walked over to Rumplestilskin. "We got it" he said. "What about me? You said you would help me" Cinderella said to James. Rumplestilskin and James turned to look at her. Rumplestilskin smiled at her. "Do you know what this is" Rumplestilskin asked waving the wand.
"Pure magic" Cinderella said. "Pure evil" Rumplestilskin said. "Trust me I've done you a favor killing that nauseating fairy" James said. "All magic comes with a price" Rumplestilskin said. "Just go back to your life and forget you ever saw us" James said. "My life. It's wretched" Cinderella said shaking her head. "Then change it. You can't handle this" Rumplestilskin said. Him and James started to walk away but Cinderella ran in front of them. "Wait please wait. I can handle it. Please I will do anything to get out of here. Anything" Cinderella said. "Anything" Rumplestilskin asked smiling. "Do you guys know who use that wand. I'm sorry but what are your names again" Cinderella asked. "James" James said and held out his hand for her to shake. She shook it. "Rumplestilskin and yes of course we do" Rumplestilskin said bowing. "Then help me" Cinderella said. Rumplestilskin smiled. "If we do and you can indeed shoulder the consequences then you'll owe me a favor" Rumplestilskin said.
"Don't do it Cinderella. It's not worth it" Charming yelled. Rumplestilskin pointed the wand at him and all of a sudden Charming turned into a pumpkin. James laughed and walked over to the pumpkin. "Well that's one way to shut you up David" James said. "Name it. What do you want" Cinderella asked. Rumplestilskin leaned in close to Cinderella. "Something precious" he said. "I have nothing" Cinderella said. "Oh but you will. With this wish will come riches more then you know" Rumplestilskin said. "I care nothing for riches. I'll give you anything you want just get me out of here" Cinderella said. Rummplestilskin smiled his devilish smile. "Now were talking" he said. "How does it work" Cinderella asked. "Fear not my needs are small and all you have to do is sign on the dotted line" Rumplestilskin said as he made a scroll appear. "Do we have a deal" Rumplestilskin asked. "Yes thank you" Cinderella said as she signed the scroll.
James was trying to use his magic to destroy the pumpkin Charming had been turned into but because of his parents stupid spell he couldn't hurt Charming. That was all about to change though. Rumplestilskin looked at the scroll. Cinderella smiled as Rumplestilskin waved the wand and Cinderella now had on a beautiful blue dress. She looked down at herself and smiled. She looked at the glass slippers that were on the floor in front of her. "Glass" Cinderella said confused. "Every story needs a memorable detail. Let's see how they fit shall we" Rumplestilskin said. Cinderella put the glass slippers on and they fit perfectly. "Now you have a good time but be sure to watch the clock" Rumplestilskin said smiling at her. She smiled back at him. James waved his hand and a carriage appeared. The door on it opened. "Now you have a carriage to take you to the ball" he said. Cinderella looked at James. "Thank you. Thank you both" she said getting into the carriage and heading to the ball.
James walked over to Rumplestilskin. "Such a gullible girl. If only she knew she just signed her child's life away" he said. They both laughed. "Did you get it" Rumplestilskin asked. James nodded his head and held out his hand. A ball magically appeared in it. "That wand should unlock it. My mother used blood magic to protect this. Lucky I have the same blood as her. Just unlock it with the wand and it will point you in the direction of what your looking for" he said. Rumplestilskin went to grab it but James pulled his hand back. "Now your turn" James said. Rumplestilskin rolled his eyes. He waved his hand and a veil appeared in it. "Make sure your brother drinks this" Rumplestilskin said. "It will break my parents protection spell" James asked. Rumplestilskin nodded his head. He reached his hand out toward James and James took the potion while Rumple took the ball from James. They both turned toward the pumpkin. "Now to deal with my brother" James said.
Rumplestilskin pointed the wand at the pumpkin and it turned back into Charming. He looked around confused. "Where is Cinderella? What did you guys do to her" Charming asked. James smiled at him. "We just made all her dreams come true" James said. Rumplestilskin just let out a laugh. Charming glared at both of them. "I will find out what you two did to her and then I'll…" Charming started but was frozen by Rumplestilskin. James walked up to his frozen twin. "You won't even remember meeting her" James said. James waved his hand and a piece of paper appeared in his hand. He opened Charming's doublet and put it inside. James then pulled out a rock and held to Charming's head. "You met Lady Tremaine here tonight. Your meeting with her went the same way it always does. She signed the paper and you put it in your doublet. You will forget all about meeting Cinderella or seeing me and Rumplestilskin here tonight. This was just a normal night" James said as the rock glowed and took Charming's memories and replaced them with the ones James just made up.
The rock stopped glowing and James walked back over to Rumplestilskin. "I think our work here is done" James said as he morphed into his dragon form and flew off. Rumplestilskin disappeared and then Charming unfroze. Charming smiled to himself. That meeting wasn't so bad. He got the paper signed and now he could go back home to Snow. He walked away from the house because Lady Tremaine didn't like him morphing into a dragon in front of her house. He morphed into his dragon form and flew off unaware of the events that transpired that night and unaware of the potion his brother had that could make him vulnerable to him.
