David was walking to Emma's car when he heard Emma call out to him. "Dad wait up" Emma called out running up to him. "What are you doing out here? I thought I told you you weren't coming" David said. "Well I decided you're going to need my help" Emma said. David shook his head. "No it's too" David started but Emma interrupted him. "Dangerous yea I know that's what you keep saying" she said. David's frustration was growing. "Just stay here. I'll be back soon" David said continuing to walk to Emma's car. "Please let me help" Emma begged running in front of her father. David let out a frustrated sigh. "For the last time it is too dangerous. Now go back in the house I will be home soon" David said in his voice that Emma knew meant he was serious and that was the end of the discussion. Emma wasn't ready to end the discussion though. "I'll just follow you and probably get in the way so you should just let me come with you. Besides how dangerous could a pregnant maid be anyway" Emma asked.
"She knocked me out and robbed me" David said. Emma smiled. "All the more reason for me to come and protect you" Emma said. David shook his head. "Emma please. This isn't a game. She's desperate which makes her dangerous" David said. "How do you know I can't help? She's my age. Maybe she would respond better to me" Emma said. David sighed. "Look Emma I know kids like her. I've been dealing with kids like her my whole career. She's scared and alone. She could lash out at you like she did me and I won't let that happen to you" David said. Emma nodded. "Which is why we have to find her to help her and let her know that she's not alone" she said. David thought for a moment. David looked at Emma seriously. "Your not coming with me" he said walking past Emma to her car. Emma started to walk away but not in the direction of the house. "Where are you going" David asked. This time he was the one to step in front of Emma.
"I'm going to find her myself" Emma said walking past her father. "I'll just find you and bring you back" David called out to Emma. Emma turned around. "Then you wouldn't be helping Ashley and Uncle James and Rumplestilskin will definitely find her before you" Emma said. David just stood there staring at his daughter. She had a point. He had to find Ashley before his brother or Rumplestilskin found her. Who knows what they would do to her? Emma walked up to her father. "Come on dad. I'm the savior. This is what I'm supposed to do" Emma said. David stood there speechless. He really couldn't argue with her there. She was the savior and helping the people in Storybrooke was what she was supposed to do. David sighed in defeat. "You know that's not fair playing the savior card" he said. Emma hugged. "Thank you dad" Emma said. "If your going to come you have to listen to me and what I say. If I tell you it's too dangerous you have to get out of there. Is that understood" David asked. Emma nodded her head.
"Can I drive" Emma asked. David gave her a serious look that told her his answer. "Just thought I'd give it a shot" Emma said getting into the passenger side of the car. David got into the driver's side of the car and started the car. He started driving. "So where do we start our search" Emma asked. "Well figuring she stole my phone my truck and all my money I figure she's probably trying to leave town. My guess would be to head toward the end of town" David said. "What happens when someone try's to leave town" Emma asked. David shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know but something tells me were going to find out" David said. "I hope it's nothing bad. I don't want anything to happen to Cinderella" Emma said. David nodded in agreement. "Me neither. As long as we find her and are able to help her everything will be fine" David said. "We'll find her. That's what this family does. We find people. That's how we were able to find mom and everyone else" Emma said. David smiled at her. Seeing how much Emma believed in herself and her family made David feel proud Maybe he had done his job as her father right.
