Thunder rolled outside the castle as Ella packed her bags. She had gotten the jewel from the treasure room. It was surprisingly simple. Once she found out what the jewel looked like from the books they had in the castle she was able to take it easily. She hated that she had to do this but she had to protect her unborn baby no matter what and James promised he would help her if she just got him the jewel. She continued packing as Thomas walked into the room. She stopped packing when she saw him. "What are you doing" Thomas asked throwing his hunting stuff on the table. "I thought you were hunting with David" Ella said continuing to pack not looking at Thomas. David and Thomas and went on a hunting trip and Ella thought this was the best time to get the jewel. She was running out of time. It was the third day and she only had a couple hours left. "I was, but the weather wasn't agreeing, so we came back early" Thomas said taking off his hunting gloves.

"Are we going somewhere" Thomas asked. Ella just looked at her bags ashamed. She didn't know what she was agreeing to when she accepted Rumplestilskin's deal. She was stuck and the only way out of it was to steal this jewel from her family and give it to a man who was equally as powerful and scary as Rumplestilskin. She turned around slowly. "You're going somewhere" Thomas said realization sinking in. He didn't know what was going on but he knew it was bad. "Something's happened" Ella said still not looking at Thomas. "What" Thomas asked. Ella finally looked at him. "I'm pregnant" she answered. Thomas was overcome with joy and happiness. He walked over to her smiling. "Ella, that's wonderful" he said grabbing her but she walked away from him. "Why are you upset? This is what we wanted" Thomas said walking over to her. "There's something else" Ella said. Thomas looked at her expectantly.

"When we met that night at the ball, it wasn't my fairy godmother who sent me" Ella said as Thomas looked at her confused. "It was Rumplestiltskin and James" she said. Thomas was even more confused now. "James" he said confused. Ella nodded her head. "He helped Rumplestiltskin. I made a deal with them for this life. I was stupid. I didn't understand the price of magic. So I promised them something" Ella said. "What did you promise them" Thomas asked. Ella walked over to the bed and put a box in her bag. "They tricked me. James wants a jewel that has been in your family for generations. I thought Rumplestiltskin would want our gold or jewels too" Ella said as she continued to pack. "What was it" Thomas asked. Ella tried to find the words to tell Thomas that she had traded their baby for this life. Thomas patiently waited for an answer. Ella turned around and grabbed her stomach not being able to form the words to tell Thomas.

"Our baby" Thomas asked in disbelief. "I'm so sorry but there is a way to fix this" Ella said. "How" Thomas asked. Ella walked over to the bed and pulled the box she put in there before out. She walked over to Thomas. "All I have to do is give this to James and he promised he would help protect the baby from Rumplestilskin" Ella said opening the box and showing Thomas the jewel. Thomas stood there in silence for a moment. Then he shook his head closed the box and took it from Ella. "No we are not going to just give that man what he wants. We don't even know if we can trust him" Thomas said. Now Ella shook her head. "We have to otherwise I will lose all of this. My life, you" Ella cried sitting down on the bed. "No" Thomas said putting the box on a table and walking over to Ella. He puts his hand under her chin and pulls her head up to look at him. "I don't care what that imp or James said. Magic may have brought us together, but it didn't create this love" he said.

"I made a deal. I can't break that. They're too powerful" Ella said. Thomas thought for a moment then he got an idea. "Come on" Thomas said bringing Ella with him. "Where are we going" she asked. "To get some help to deal with Rumplestiltskin and James" Thomas said. "Help from who" Ella asked confused. "David" Thomas said. "David but he's probably at his castle asleep right now" she said confused. Thomas smiled at her. "Actually he's downstairs. I invited him to stay the night seeing as the weather's bad and his castle is far away. He shouldn't even be flying in this weather" Thomas said. Ella thought for a moment. "Do you think he can help us" she asked. Thomas nodded his head. "James is his brother and he has faced him many times. Besides his mother is Maleficent. She has to have some sort of magical contraption to help us" he said. "I hope so" Ella said. Thomas continued walking down the hall as Ella followed him. He knocked on the door of what was Charming's room for the night. "Come in" David called from behind the door. Thomas and Ella walked into the room. Charming smiled at them as they walked into the room. "Thanks again for letting me stay here for the night" Charming said. He noticed their worried faces. "What's wrong" Charming asked. "David we have a problem" Thomas said.

Across the enchanted forest in James and Regina's castle James was in his and Regina's bedroom getting ready to meet Ella when Regina walked in. "Do you think she got it" Regina asked. James walked over to his wife and kissed her hand. "I know she did. She wants to protect her baby. She'll make sure she gets the jewel for me at any cost" James said. "Do you think she knows what it does" Regina asks. James shook his head. "Probably not but it doesn't matter. Once we have the jewel we are that much closer to getting everything we want" James said caressing Regina's face. Regina smiled at him and let herself get lost in his touch. "David might be an issue" Regina said. James smiled at her and kissed her passionately. "Don't worry about my brother. Now that he's vulnerable I can deal with him. David's not a threat to us" James said. James looked out the window. "I have to go" James said. Regina turned his face to face her. "I love you" she said. He smiled and kissed her again. "I love you too" James said. He walked out onto their balcony morphed into his dragon self and flew off to where he had to meet Ella. Regina watched as her husband flew off into the night. The weather wasn't the best nut she knew James would be OK. She hoped he got that jewel. It was the key to their happy ending and that was the most important thing to the both of them no matter the cost.
