In the mines Emma tried to stand up. Maleficent pushed her back down gently. "You shouldn't be getting up. Your leg is hurt" she said. Emma shook her head. "Dad's coming for me. We have to get out of here and higher up so that he can find us" Emma said getting up. Her leg hurt badly but she was determined to get to her father. Maleficent smiled. "Your stubborn. You must get that from your father" she said helping Emma up. "I'll show you the way out" Maleficent said walking to the tunnels at the other end of the mines they were in slowly. Emma was walking with Maleficent but stopped when she saw something. "Wait" she said. Maleficent looked up at her. "Emma honey the tunnels out of here are right there" Maleficent said pointing towards the tunnels. Emma just stared in shock. "Is that" she asked without finishing her sentence not believing she was actually looking at it. Maleficent saw what she was looking at.
"Your mother's coffin? Yes that is" Maleficent said answering Emma's unfinished question. "I can't believe it. My dad's told me the story of when James and Regina cursed my mother with that apple that caused her to sleep until my dad woke her up with a kiss. I never thought I would see it" she said. Maleficent nodded her head. "It came over with the curse" she said. "Why" Emma asked Maleficent. She shook her head. "James thinks it must have been in the area where the curse hit. Him and Regina didn't bring it over on purpose" she said. Emma hobbled over and picked up a piece of glass from the coffin. She put it in her pocket. "We really should be getting you out of here Emma" Maleficent said. Emma hobbled back over to Maleficent and they walked slowly to the tunnel. Maleficent stopped and picked up a long stick and gave it to Emma. "This will help you walk. That path down there should lead you back up to where you were before you fell" Maleficent said.
"Ok let's go. Dad will be so excited to see you" Emma said. Maleficent shook her head. "I can't go with you" she said. "Why not" Emma asked. "I'm stuck down here. I can't leave this area. James put it into the curse. I have all my memories and I remember who I am but my curse is I can't leave down here until the curse is broken" she said. Emma shook her head. "I'm not leaving you down here" she said. "You have too. You have to go back up to the surface and figure out how to break this curse for everyone's sake" Maleficent said. "I can't just leave you alone" she said. "I'll be Ok. I promise. I've been down here for 18 years by myself" she said sadly. Emma hugged her. "I'm going to break this curse and then you'll be able to leave" Emma said. "I know you will. Your brave like your father. He raised you well. Tell him I love him and I've missed him so much" Maleficent said. Emma nodded. "I will I promise" she said hobbling her way through the tunnel and back to where she was with Henry and Archie.
Henry and Archie were sitting in the elevator shaft when they heard rocks clattering on the roof of the elevator. Henry looked outside the elevator worried. "Can I ask you a question" Archie asked. "What do you want to know" Henry asked. "Why did you come down here" Archie asked. "I wanted to prove my parents are liars" Henry said. "You thought coming down here would prove that" Archie said. Henry pulled a candy bar out of his bag and gave it to Archie. "There's something down here that would prove to everyone that my parents are lying to them and I'm not crazy" Henry said. Archie shook his head. "I don't think your crazy" he said. Henry scoffed. "You think what my parents tell you to think because your scared of them just like everyone else in this stupid town. Uncle David and Emma are the only two who aren't under my parents control" Henry said. "That's not true" Archie said handing Henry a piece of the candy bar.
"Do you know what your parents told me to do when I found you" Archie asked. Henry shrugged his shoulders. "What did they ask you to do" he asked. "They wanted me to crush your fantasy to make you believe your crazy. I'm not going to do that though. No matter the consequences" Archie said. "Why not? Aren't you scared about what they might do to you" Henry asked. Archie nodded his head. "Of course I am but making you think your crazy to hide whatever they want to hide isn't right and I won't be a part of it" Archie said. Henry smiled at him and then gave him a hug. "Thanks Archie" he said. "Of course Henry" Archie said. They heard footsteps and looked to see Emma hobbling up to them. "What happened" Henry asked noticing the long stick Emma was leaning on. Emma smiled at him. "It's a long story" she said. The gravel started clattering above them. They all looked up as rocks started to fall and a beam of light hit Henry and Archie.
"What's that" Henry asked. Archie looked at Henry then at Emma. "I think it's a rescue" Archie said as he and Henry stood up. Emma looked up smiling. "Dad" she said under her breath. Just then David came into view. "Are you guys Ok" he asked as he propelled down to the elevator. "Yea, we're Ok" Archie said. "Hang on, guys" David said as he landed on the elevator. "Ok, that's good. Stop" David said into the walkie he had attached to his shoulder. Archie coughed as David pulled the grate off the top of the elevator. He moved it to the side and looked inside the elevator. He didn't see Emma. "Where's Emma" David asked his heart beating fast as his greatest fear was coming true. He had lost Emma forever. "I'm fine dad. Get Henry and Archie up first then you can come back for me" Emma called from right outside the elevator. David let out a sigh of relief. Emma was Ok. Archie helped Henry up. "Here you go, up" Archie said. David grabbed Henry's hand. "Come on" David said.
"I got you. Ok. I got him" David said. "You got him? Is he safe" Archie asked as the elevator started rattling. He looked around. "Archie" Emma called about to walk into the elevator. Archie held out a hand to stop her. "Don't. It's too dangerous" he said. "It's gonna fall" Archie called out. David looked around for something anything that could help but found nothing. He looked down at Archie sadly. "I'm sorry" he said. "It's Ok" Archie said. The elevator started to fall. "Archie" all three of them yelled out. There was a loud clank as the elevator hit the ground. All three of them were surprised to see Archie hanging there. His umbrella caught the hook on Henry's pants. They all smiled at each other. Henry held out a thumbs up to Archie who just continued smiling thankful to be alive. They were pulled up. Everyone applauded as they came out of the hole. James and Regina stood next to each other grateful there son was alive.
James and Regina ran up to Henry and pulled him into a big hug. "We were so worried about you" James said. Henry pulled himself out of their arms. "What were you worried I'd actually find proof that your curse exists" he asked glaring at both his parents. James and Regina looked at each other hurt. Regina approached Henry. "We don't care about that all we care about is that your back to us and your safe" Regina said. Henry looked at both his parents and he saw something he never saw before. Both of them had tears in their eyes and it was clear they had cried. It was particularly shocking to see from his father who he didn't even know could cry. James approached his son and hugged him. "I know me and your mother have done a lot of bad things and we have a lot to make up for but if you give us the chance we will be better" he said. Henry looked into his father's eyes and thought he looked sincere enough even though he didn't fully trust either of his parents. "Ok" Henry said warily.
David went back down to get Emma. When he landed on the ground where Emma was waiting for him he pulled her into a big hug. "I'm so sorry princess" he said with tears in his eyes grateful she was Ok. "Ow ow ow" Emma said. David pulled back and realized why Emma was in pain. "What happened" he asked. "It's a long story that I'd rather tell you about when were back up on the surface and I've had my leg checked out" she said. David nodded his head. "Right" he said. He picked Emma up. "All right you can pull us up" David said as they started to get pulled up. David came out of the hole holding Emma and ran over to his truck. He laid Emma down in the backseat and closed the door. He had to get her to the hospital. "David" he heard someone call out. David looked up and saw James standing there. He rolled his eyes. "Look James now's not the time" David started to say but was shocked when James hugged him.
"Thank you for saving Henry" James said pulling back from David. David was stunned and a little speechless. James hadn't hugged him like a brother in such a long time. He looked at James and for the first time in years he saw his brother that he grew up with looking back at him. The brother he had before everything happened between them. "Your welcome. I'm glad you and Regina have Henry back. I got to go. Emma hurt her leg and needs to get it checked out" David said. James nodded. "I'll call the hospital and tell them to make sure they give Emma the best care. She'll be top priority" he said. David was really stunned now. "Wow thanks" David said. James nodded. "Of course. Me and Regina appreciate you risking your life to save Henry" he said. David smiled at him. "Anytime" he said. David looked back at Emma who was laying in the back seat looking like she was in pain. "Not to be rude but I really got to go" David said. James nodded as David got in his truck and drove off.
Regina and Henry were standing by Regina's car waiting for James to come back. Henry looked at his mother. "We have to make sure Emma is Ok" he said. Regina nodded her head. "We will we just have to wait for your father" Regina said as James walked up to them on the phone. "Her name is Emma Nolan. She's my niece and is to be top priority when she arrives" James said into the phone. He nodded his head. "Very good. I expect to hear good things from you on how she's being taking care of. Goodbye" James said hanging up the phone. "Who was that" Henry asked. "Dr. Whale. I called him and told him to give Emma the best treatment we have for her leg" James said. Henry looked at him surprised. "You did what" he asked shocked. "We told you Henry we're going to be better" Regina said. Henry hugged both his parents. "Thank you guys" he said. James and Regina smiled at each other happy to have their son back and that he was talking to them again.
"Hey buddy we'll head over to the hospital to see how Emma's doing. Why don't you wait in the car. Your mother and I need to talk to each other for a minute" James said. Henry nodded his head not thinking anything of it. His parents were changing and now the three of them could move forward together. Once Henry got in the car and closed the door James turned to Regina. "We need to make sure Graham sees that video. David still has those rings in his coat" he said. Regina smiled at him. "The video and those rings are certainly enough for David to get arrested" Regina said. James nodded. "He won't be a problem for us anymore" James said. Regina kissed James. They both looked across the way and saw Archie standing over there. James knocked on Henry's window. "We'll be right back and then we'll go" James said. Henry nodded. James and Regina started to walk away. "Mom Dad" Henry called. They stopped and turned around. "Yea" Regina asked. "I love you guys" he said. James and Regina smiled. "We love you too" James said.
They walked over to Archie. "Dr. Hopper we just wanted to say thank you for looking after Henry while you too were stuck down in the mines together" James said. Regina nodded. "You're a real hero" she said. "I have something to say" Archie said. James nodded for him to continue. "I'm gonna continue to treat Henry and I'm gonna do it my own way" Archie said. James and Regina's smiles faded from their faces and they glared at him. "Don't be confused by our relief that Henry is safe Dr. Hopper. Nothing has changed" James said. "You will do as we say or" Regina started to threaten him but Archie interrupted her. "Or what? You two will ruin my life? You guys will do your worst" Archie asked shaking his head. "I will always do what is best for Henry even if that isn't you two" Archie said. James stepped in front of Archie so that he was inches from his face. Normally that would have intimidated Archie but not anymore.
He wasn't scared of them especially when he had the power over them. "Don't test us" James asked in a threatening tone expecting for the therapist to back down but to James's surprise Archie didn't. Archie let out a small laugh and shook his head. "I don't need to because you guys are going to leave me alone and let me do my work in peace" Archie said. Regina laughed. "Really? Why is that" she asked. "I'm Henry's therapist and all it will take is me saying Henry is living in an unfit home with unfit parents for the right people to start looking into you two and something tells me you guys don't want that. Who knows what they might find when they start digging around? Then it would be you two who would lose everything. Your nice house your car Henry. So I suggest you guys think about that and you allow me to do my work and let me do it the way my conscience tells me to" Archie said as he left the two mayors standing there thinking about what he said.
James Regina and Henry arrived at the hospital and saw David sitting in the waiting room. "Uncle David" Henry said running up to David. David looked up and saw the family approaching him. David stood up and hugged James. "They took Emma right away. Said she was top priority by orders of the mayor. Thank you" David said. James faked a smile. "I said I'd make sure Emma had the best care" he said. "How is she" Henry asked. David shook his head. "I don't know. The doctors are still working on her" he said. "I'm sure she'll be fine. We have the best doctors here" Regina said. Before they could continue the conversation Graham walked up behind James and Regina. "Excuse me I'm sorry to interrupt but I have to talk to you three about something" Graham said looking between David James and Regina. James turned to Henry. "Henry give us a minute to talk to the sheriff" he said. Henry shook his head. "What is this about" he asked.
"It's just something we need to talk to Sheriff Graham about. Adult stuff" Regina said. "I want to know" Henry started but James interrupted him. "Henry do as we say and give us a minute. We will talk about it later" James said in his voice Henry knew meant not to push the situation anymore. Henry crossed his arms and stomped away leaving the four adults standing there. "What's this about Sheriff" Regina asked. Graham took out his phone. "Well I got sent this disturbing video from a blocked number. Care to explain David" Graham asked holding out the phone for him. James and Regina looked at David expectantly and David looked at Graham surprised. He took the phone and pressed play on the video. Once again we was shocked. It was a video of him in James and Regina's house the previous night. They had cameras in their house. David should have figured. "This isn't what it looks like" David said. James and Regina looked at the phone.
"Really because it looks like you were breaking and entering into our house while we weren't home" James said. "That's what I saw too now my question is why" Graham asked. "My rings" Regina said under her breath. "What" James asked. "Remember I told you this morning my rings were missing. We looked all over and couldn't find them. Maybe it's because they weren't there to be found" Regina said. David knew where this was going. "Now wait a minute I didn't steal your rings" David said. "Then what were you doing breaking into their house" Graham asked. David looked away from him. "I can't say" he said. "Search him Sheriff" James said. "Yea he probably took my rings to pawn them or something" Regina said. David rolled his eyes. "I didn't take your rings" he said. Graham walked up to him and took his phone. "It's not looking good for you David. If you have nothing to hide then let me search you" Graham said.
David looked between James Regina and Graham. He sighed and held out his arms. "Your not going to find anything" David said. Graham started patting David down while David glared at James and Regina. They really were reaching for anything they could saying he stole Regina's rings. He stole the memory rocks they had but he couldn't exactly say that. Graham wasn't going to find anything. They normally weren't this sloppy. Graham got done patting him down and looked at David. "Empty your pockets" he said. David reached into his jean pockets and pulled out his phone and wallet. He placed them on a table that was next to him. He put his hands in his coat pockets. "See I told you I didn't take" he stopped midsentence when he felt something in his right pocket. There wasn't supposed to be anything in there. He slowly pulled his hand out of his pocket and pulled out the rings. James and Regina gasped.
"My rings" Regina said taking them from David. "How could you" James asked looking at David disappointed. David looked at James and Regina. They successfully set him up. Graham walked over to David with handcuffs. "I'm sorry David. I have no choice" Graham said as he handcuffed David. "They set me up Graham you have to listen to me" David said as Graham walked him out of the hospital. James and Regina watched satisfied. David wouldn't be an issue anymore. "You lied to me" they heard someone say behind them. They turned around and saw Henry standing there. James and Regina looked at each other. "Henry David stole your mother's rings and" James started but Henry yelled at his father. "STOP LYING. YOU GUYS SET UNCLE DAVID UP. YOUR NEVER GOING TO CHANGE" he yelled at them. "Henry please" Regina said but Henry shook his head. "No I don't want to hear anymore lies. I'm done with both you" Henry said running away. He cried as he ran. He was heartbroken. He really hoped his parents had changed but once the evil king and queen always the evil king and queen.
