Hisame still doesn't feel used to this, as he sits and watches his wife smile. She's radiant and calm and lovely. Kiki's talking with their daughter, and just looks so content.

She runs the estate exceptionally well, and she manages all of her responsibilities expertly. And yet, somehow, even after all of that or in the midst of it, she is able to be an incredible mom, able to smile with their daughter, and relax.

It's beautiful to see, and Hisame is so awed by her. It's like there is nothing that Kiki cannot do.

"Daddy, come play with us!" His daughter is quite the commander, and Hisame joins in, ready for whatever lies ahead: tea parties, dolls, tag, anything.

"You're a good father." Kiki tells him, rolling over carefully to look at him.

"You're a better mother." Hisame hadn't realized Kiki had been watching him too, perhaps she'd been watching him just as long as he'd caught onto just how incredible Kiki seems to be at everything.

"You're more fun, more relaxed." Kiki lays a hand on her stomach, and Hisame wonders for a moment if she's nervous about the little one that soon they'll be able to hold and raise as well.

"Not like you are." He wraps an arm around his wife and rests his hand gently over her stomach, half-expecting a little baby's kick, but the baby seems to be less of a kicker than their firstborn was.

Kiki shook her head, denying it, and yet Hisame wonders how she doesn't see it.

"I love you." And he leaned closer to give her a quick kiss on the lips.

"I love you too." And Kiki scooted just a little bit closer, already muffling a yawn; the day seems longer than it has been.

But right here, with Kiki, Hisame is content. Being around his wife is always a place he'd rather be.
