We Angry Few 2: Relapse in Behavior
Ch1: Who Wants Some Wang?
Within the confines of the Fire Gardens the sound of heavy breathing and iron blades clanging against each other echo across the Shirai Ryu campus. Hanzo watches Bruce Banner who is wearing a traditional ninja-yoroi in the colors of the Shirai Ryu in a duel against Kratos. Ninja line the walls and even the rooftop watching the Avenger and the former God of War dueling one another, the entire Shirai Ryu clan watches eagerly.
Hanzo: Plant your feet doctor!
Bruce then plants his feet and parry's the other Katana revealing with a determined look on his face.
Kratos: This is the mighty warrior that has beaten my son?!
The two of them continue to swing their swords at one another. The clanging sounds echo throughout the Fire Gardens. Both blades are now interlocked and the two of heroes are now facing each other. Kratos looks on at the good doctor with a scowl on his face while Banner looks up at Kratos tired yet still determined to wind. Banner's pupils begin turning green as he struggles with fighting Kratos, he holds his ground but is clearly struggling blocking the Olympian's blade. Hanzo then interjects from behind almost as if he could see Banner fighting off the transformation reminding Banner, "You are in control! You are just as strong without him as you are with him!". The swords grind against each other sparks flying every which way.
Banner closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He exhales while opening his eyes revealing that his pupils have returned to their natural brown color. Kratos looks perplexed as to how that happened but the ground has been swept out from under him by a sweeping kick from Banner. He goes to pick himself up only to have a blade in his face. Kratos looks up at the human form of the Jade Giant but instead of being angry he nods his head and tells Banner, "You are ready!". The various Shirai Ryu watching begin to clap celebrating Banner's victory. Bruce helps Kratos up and the heroes shake forearms. Hanzo then walks up proud of Banner's progress since coming to the Fire Garden six months ago.
Hanzo: Congratulations Doctor Banner! You are ready to leave us!
Bruce: Thank you Grandmaster! And thank you Kratos for the fight… You're sure you didn't let me win?
Kratos: Even if I had bested you in the battle of swords. You had won in the battle of the mind. You did not let the beast within out, you have taken back control of your mind and body.
Banner nods at Kratos thanking him for allowing this to happen and does a small bow towards Hanzo. The Grandmaster does the same and looks around to see that the one other outsider that now lives with them.
Hanzo: Where is the Slayer?
The three heroes look up to see the Fortress of Doom above the Fire Gardens. Hanzo turns to Banner telling him, "Doctor, go change. It's time we met with the Slayer and question him about how the world ends.". The three heroes go inside the dojo of the Fire Gardens together before they teleport into the fortress. Inside the floating fortress, the Doom Slayer is in the middle of an intense fire fight inside of the Ripatorium. The arena is populated with demons of all shapes and sizes, the arena has been altered to look like a post apocalyptic city somewhere in America. The Slayer hides behind some debris. He is wearing armor plating around his chest along with gauntlets but is not wearing a helmet, loud metalcore music plays through the speakers.
The Slayer then jumps in the fray with a machine taking out two Red Devils feasting on a corpse of a human. The Slayer then jumps into the air and unloads his entire clip into the face of Mancubus causing it to fall to the ground, it brain spewed across the sidewalk. The Slayer then reaches his final objective an Archville that is surrounded by the undead. The Slayer goes for the kill when he an imp like devil jumps up and slashes at the Slayer's chest. He then throws the demon into the wall. The Slayer now stands over the demon enraged that it was able to sneak up on him.
Doom Slayer: That was a mistake!
He then activates the wrist blade on his gauntlet and then begins to stab the demon in its chest repeatedly until it caves in and its neck falls through its chest. The speaker is playing the 21st Century metal band Sleeping Giant and their song "Sons of Thunder". The chorus sings "Overcome, this world with love" repeatedly and the Slayer advances towards the Archville but he summons an army of undead. The Doom Slayer is suddenly hit with a wave of energy that alters the area around him, at his feet he sees the dead body of his ancestors BJ Blazkowicz and Commander Keen along side the corpses of Valen the the Betrayer and several Knight Sentinel's as well as his new found allies Hanzo Hasashi, John Constantine, Kratos, Zatanna, and the Incredible Hulk. The Slayer looks up to see the Archville has now transformed into a Lovecraftian humanoid in some sort of suit. The creature mocks the Slayer tell him "Once again you have failed this world!"
Doom Slayer: I'm not finished yet!
The Slayer charges into battle but unbeknownst to him another imp like demon goes to attack him from behind. He bounces from a titled lamp post, the Doom Slayer's rage takes over. He mows through hordes of the undead and the song on the speaker begins to yell "SEE YOU AT ARMAGEDDON!". He tears through the undead and right as the demon is about to make contact with the Slayer but the imp is then impaled by the rope spear of Hanzo Hasashi.
Hanzo: GET OVER HERE!
The demon is then violently yanked from behind, the Slayer turns around to see Hanzo pulling the demon back and along side him stands Kratos the former God of War and Bruce Banner the human form of the Incredible Hulk. Once this demon is in Hanzo's left hand he ignites his right hand with hellfire and crushes the skull of the imp then throwing the corpse to the ground. The music and the remaining demons all cower back into their cells. The three heroes look at the damage the Slayer has left in wake for the sake of training. Kratos looks on with approval while Banner is slightly horrified but Hanzo isn't phased by any of it instead he's much more concerned with the fact that there were demons near the Fire Gardens.
Hanzo: You think it wise to have ravenous demons above our home?
Doom Slayer: They were going to die either way. They have no food and minimal water.
Hanzo: You will either put them down or send them back to Hell.
The Slayer nods at the grandmaster of the ninja clan but turns the body of the dead Archville, Kratos walks up to the Slayer as he sees that he has a "Thousand Yard" state in the direction of demon's corpse. The former God of Was places his hand on the Space Marine's shoulder asking him "What troubles you Slayer?". The Doom Slayer looks back at Kratos telling him, "The visions of the future… they are getting worse. This demon in a desperate attempt to survive tried to play off my fears…". Hanzo turns to Bruce and walks over to the Slayer, the two now face each other.
Hanzo: You still see the end of the world?
The Doom Slayer nods his head and the group all look at each other. Hanzo then tells the group "Then we must prepare! Come!". The group of four angry heroes all take the elevator and walk into the command center within the floating fortress. Hanzo asks the group of heroes as the gather around the table "What do you all know of the Nobitsura Kage?".
Bruce: Isn't that the sword that Lo Wang uses?
Doom Slayer: Who is Lo Wang?
VEGA begins to project hologram of a bald assassin wearing sunglasses and bald armor fighting demons with a rather unusual looking katana. In the video the assassin it shows magic beams of energy beaming out of the blade with every swing.
VEGA: Lo Wang is a former Yakuza assassin who specializes in firearms, martial arts, and chi. Currently in position of the Nobitsura Kage and is responsible for driving back the demons of the Shadow Realm back. Known associates include Orochi Zilla, Smith Masamune, Hideo Kobadera, Sam Stone, Duke Nukem, and Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool.
Hanzo: This Slayer, is Lo Wang. A bumbling bafoon who has somehow managed to not only find work as an assassin but has saved the Earth at least two times I am aware of. He and his siblings were trained by Master Leep a great martial artist who is no longer alive to see his former pupil actively mock his teachings.
Kratos: You have answered one question but not the other… Why is the Nobitsura Kage of such great importance?
Hanzo: The Nobitsura Kage is a blade of immense power from Japan's distant past. Forged by demons to kill demons and other ancient beings who wish to do the Earth harm, such as the creatures of your nightmares Slayer.
Doom Slayer: So we recruit this Lo Wang to our cause then?
Hanzo: No, he has misused the blade every chance he has taken. So we shall take the sword back. Once we have to sword we will investigate your visions.
Hanzo looks off into the distance at the Japanese countryside and the bright blue sky. Elsewhere, in the town of Dragon Mountain a pale white woman with crimson hair walks down the street. The woman is wearing sunglasses, black shirt, jeans, wearing her hair up, and is wearing a necklace shaped like the sun. This is Rayne the Dhampir assassin of the Brimstone Society. She taps the comm link in her ear to hear a call from her ally Severin.
Severin: Any word on Lo Wang?
Rayne: Negative, since becoming "famous" he doesn't seem to frequent the same places he used.
Severin: How do you know this guy again?
Rayne: We met a few years back back during the Kagan hunting days… Simpler times compared to now.
Severin: Oh, wait... This the ninja you fooled around with?!
Rayne: Yes, which is why I appreciate your discretion around Armstrong and Zeke.
Severin: I thought you and Armstrong weren't-
Rayne: Complicated.
Severin: Of course it is!
Rayne peaks her head around and sees building with a big neon sign on the rooftop that says "Wang Cave" on the very top. The shakes her and heavy sighs but walks into the building anyway. She walks into the nightclub but they are still setting up for the evening, the only person there and it's the bartender. The bar tender is a young asian woman minding her business as she cleans the bar but Rayne leans on the counter and lowers her sunglasses.
Rayne: I'm looking for the owner of this fine establishment.
The bartender looks at Rayne plainly telling her "He won't be here until we open tonight". Rayne looks around seeing there's no one that can help her, she turns back to the bartender only she is paying her no mind. Rayne decides to walk on the stage which has a drum set and guitar sitting idly on its stand. She walks back stage all the way down to the basement storage. She begins to look around when she sees a hatch at the center of the floor with a big Japanese characters inscribed on it saying "LEADS TO SEPTIC DO NOT OPEN" but this doesn't stop Rayne. She opens the hatch and jumps down the hole she is now in an underground cavern and not the town's sewage system. Rayne heads toward the end of the tunnel to see a faint light at the end of it. She follows the light into a Cave that has been converted into Lo Wang's actual place of residence.
She sees a stair case that goes behind a waterfall along, a mounted Gatling gun on the edge of some rocks facing the small pond, and a series of walls that presumably hold Lo Wang's various weapons, his car, and any number of other personal items. Rayne begins to cautiously walk around and call out for Lo Wang.
Rayne: Hello? Wang are you there?
She continues to walk around the cave compound until the sound of synths and guitars can be heard over the speakers. The song playing is "The Touch" by Stan Bush and none other than Lo Wang appears from a ledge looking over the entire compound singing along with the song.
Lo Wang: YOU'VE GOT THE TOUCH! YOU'VE GOT THE POWEEEEEERRRRR!
Wang looks different from the last Rayne saw her last. His hair has now grown back and has goatee. Instead of his black body armor he's wear a red leather jacket with no shirt under it showing off his massive dragon tattoo on his chest, work pants with a holster for his pistol on it, a ying and necklace, and in his hand is the Nobitsura Kage. Rayne looks up trying to stifle her laughter by covering her mouth as she gets second hand embarrassment from Lo Wang.
Rayne: Hahaha… Cut the shit Wang it's-
Before she can finish her sentence Lo Wang jumps from the ledge with his sword pointing straight down yelling out "WHO WANTS SOME WANG?!". Rayne narrowly dodges the magic blade impaling her. She turns back towards Wang both are now crouched on the stone ground.
Rayne: Lo Wang, Rayne it's me!
But Lo Wang pays no mind saying "One of Zilla's assassin's yes I know! He's been sending them on and off for the past few months!". The assassin gets back up ready to swing his sword but Rayne throws off her sunglasses and although she doesn't have her blades she readies herself to fight. Lo Wang points his sword toward Rayne but he begins to realize she looks familiar.
Lo Wang: Wait… Rayne?
Rayne's eyes roll into the back of her head and looks at him like he's a small child who needs to learn a lesson.
Rayne: Yes! It was me the whole time!
Lo Wang: What are you doing here? Zilla has you on his payroll?
Rayne: No, I'm not. I'm on an important investigation. Wang, have you been having weird dreams?
Lo Wang cocks an eye at her but they are then interrupted by a large swirling fire at the center of the compound. Wang and Rayne look on at the fire unsure of what's going on until it eventually burns itself out revealing Hanzo Hasashi, The Hulk, Kratos, and the Doom Slayer standing dab smack in the center of the compound.
Hanzo: Lo Wang! Hand over the Nobitsura Kage!
