He was energetic. He was pure hearted and kind of goofy, but you'd be forgiven for thinking so after a single glance at his smile. And he didn't seem like one to make a fuss about things in general; if anything, he seemed more than happy with the way that he was living in the moment.

As he grew from a baby into a child, he became uncommonly strong. A child whose strength wasn't something one could simply gauge based on physical attributes. But even so, he wasn't someone who was easily overwhelmed, which allowed him to go out without much issue and not have any worries.

He was a kindhearted boy, and his name was Son Goku.

The long stream of a waterfall came to rest as it met its end. It was late morning, when the sun began peeking over the horizon, lighting up the water in the lake before it. Birds sang and chirped in the trees surrounding the cliff face. The blades of grass swayed in the wind as they rustled in the gentle breeze. The lake was peaceful; almost tranquil. Almost as if there wasn't a single monster that existed anywhere nearby, or a threat of danger lurking in the shadows.

A lone dear wandered down the small mountain trail, stopping once she reached the edge of the river. Her snout dipped into the water below, flickering her tongue as she drank.

Monkeys jumped from branch to branch. Followed by five other monkeys, each carrying their own load of food. They were laughing loudly and jovially as they made their journey, enjoying themselves as best as possible under such a pleasant day.

Squirrels ran along the forest floor, searching for nuts and berries to eat. Their little legs scampered quickly across the ground, looking for all the world like an excited puppy. They had been given an early start this morning, eager to get everything done before nightfall.

At the foot of a forest near mount paozu, Goku stood outside Grandpa Gohan's hut.

His eyes narrowed as his sharp gaze scanned the area around him, watching intently for any sign of movement. No birds sang nor insects flitted about in the air; nothing moved save for the swaying of the trees. Even the squirrels that usually roamed about hadn't come out.

He wore his usual gi: an open blue gi secured with a white bow-tied obi over his waist, red wristbands, and dark blue kung fu shoes and also a tank top. His tail hanging out lazily behind him.

Clenching both of his fists, he slightly crouches into a battle stance. However before he could even throw a fist or two, his stomach growled audibly. Goku blinked in surprise as he lowered his head towards his belly; it rumbled loudly, begging for attention.

"Whoa, I'm hungry. Heh, heh, better go fishing then." He turned around, starting towards the hut. Pushing through double doors, he enters the main room. Grabbing the strap of his red polearm holster, he pulls it from the bed and throws it carelessly onto his shoulder.

In the center of the room sits a table, a small orange ball sat atop of a purple pillow. Said ball had red four stars imprinted on its surface.

Goku walked up to the ball and clasped his hands together, bowing slightly to acknowledge the ball. "Grandpa Gohan?"

There was no response. The sound of rushing wind echoed from outside.

"Stay there, okay." Goku took a step back. "I'll be right back." He sprinted out of the door and dashed through the woods. Once he caught sight of a clearing ahead, he broke out into a full sprint, heading straight for the clearing. His feet pounded against the dirt road, leaving deep grooves in his wake. Jumping from branch to branch, he moves with practiced ease, making quick time to his destination. All the while laughing happily as he runs.

He stops in front of a tree stump, staring at a nearby lake. Jumping from one branch to another, he lands on the ground twelve meters from the lake and starts towards it. He stops when he reaches the shoreline, leaning forward slightly. The sounds of water lapping at the rocks and bushes surrounded him. He inhales deeply, smelling the refreshing smell of fresh soil mixed with hints of the earth itself.

Goku walks along the shoreline, his footsteps crunching quietly against the gravel. He stops halfway, turning toward a spot close to the lake's edge. He rolled around and slowly dipped half of his tail into the water. Immediately he can feel the chill of it seeping into his body. He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, reveling in the sensation.

Giving his tail a good shake in the water. Ripples formed waves with the motion of the water. Goku's grin widened further, causing his cheeks to stretch upwards. With his shoes brushing against the sand of the beach, he turns around fully and faces the shore, he yanks his tail as a huge fish bursts out of the water into the air. Its scales glisten with water droplets.

Goku jumps high in the air, above the fish's head. He kicked hard on the fish's forehead, sending the fish crashing into the shore. It lays there, still stunned from what just occurred. Its jaw opened wide as its eye stared into space and breathing heavily. Goku giggles to himself as he trots towards the fish's tail, scooping it up with ease and resting said tail on his shoulder.

"Alright! This should keep me filled until dinner." He laughs and starts forward with the fish dragged behind. He closes his eyes humming a tune along the way.

He stops in his tracks however, when he hears a faint low hum. Looking over his shoulder, his eyes landed back to the lake. He blinks, seeing the center of the lake rippling. His brow furrows, his hands subconsciously putting the fish down on the ground. Slowly he begins walking towards the lake. As he gets closer to the center, the water ripples again, this time forming a wave crest that crashes down onto shore. The water reached Goku's feet, splashing some water onto him. Goku grimaces, feeling slightly wet.

Looking back at the center, he places both of his small fists onto his hips humming in wonderment.

"Hmm… the water is making a weird sound. Maybe it's hungry?" Goku rubs his head thoughtfully before stepping forward. "Well, I guess I'll see for myself."

Goku leaps into the water, diving straight for the bottom of the lake feeling the cold water embrace him completely. He dives down, kicking his tail frantically to propel himself farther. The water rushes past his ears and he swims as fast as he can, keeping his pace steady. When Goku finally reached the bottom of the lake, he steadied himself, letting the water flow through his hair.

His eyes widened in awe at the view he saw before him; a giant ice sphere floated in midair, a few meters away from him. It has the shape of a diamond, though instead of being a flat surface, it shimmers like glass in the sunlight. The crystal glitters brightly, reflecting the beams of light that shine onto it. It is beautiful and elegant. But the elegant light was not what caught Goku's eye. What did was what lay underneath it.

Inside the crystal laid four silhouettes of small figures. Goku stared at the tiny forms for a while, mesmerized by them. He kicks his legs furiously as he makes his way closer to the sphere. He stops, floating beside the sphere and taking a look inside; the four small silhouettes were barely visible within the sphere.

Whoa, Goku thought to himself. They're sleeping. No. Wait, what if they're trapped and they can't get out? Oh man! Don't worry I'll get you guys out!

Kicking up a bit, Goku swims to the middle base of the ice sphere. He cocks an arm back, bawling a fist with all of his might. He slams his knuckles into the center of the ice sphere with the strength he could muster.

The ice slightly cracked, but soon returned back to its original shape. Goku grinned at the fact he managed to crack it at least a little bit. He punches the same spot twice more and watches as cracks spread across the surface of the orb, the smaller ones gradually growing larger as his fists connect repeatedly with the surface of the ice sphere.

As he continues punching, the cracks in the ice begin to show signs of widening. He keeps pushing his weight into each punch and as the edges of the cracks begin breaking apart, he pushes harder still, trying to force as much force into each strike as possible. He continues pushing his weight forward until finally, the ice sphere completely fractures.

All at once, the crystal pieces scatter in every direction, landing on the ground in all different colors and shapes. Then came a blinding light followed by a thunderous boom echoing throughout the entire bottom of the lake.

The force of the explosion sent Goku flying backwards, shooting Goku out of the water and landing on the grassy land roughly. Rolling on impact, Goku coughs and spits the water from his mouth. Rubbing his sore face and shaking off his soaked clothes, Goku stands up, wobbling a little due to dizziness. He looks at his surroundings, his eyes squinting.

The lake was now empty and quiet except for his panting breaths. In the distance he sees the four small figures from earlier lying on the ground with various positions of unconsciousness on their bodies. He walks towards them warily and kneels beside one of them, getting a better look at them.

The one he kneeled beside was wearing armor, the shoulder pads out to the sides, and with a black body suit beneath. The other three were wearing similar armor but with different colorations to their bodysuits.

Goku recoiled in shock upon noticing something protruding from all four of their rumps, a furry appendage that looked like a tail. Tails that look so much like…his own.

Whoa… no way, Goku thought to himself. They have tails—just like me!

A gasp escaped Goku's throat, a smile instantly spreading across his face. A laugh escaped him and he started hopping around, jumping in place excitedly. He ran circles around the four figures, his laughter filling the air.

Oh how he thought back then, if there were others that had tails like him, always wondering if he was the only one. And here they were, laying before him.

He kneels back down to examine each figure closer. The one he kneeled next to, had pale skin and chin-length jet black hair. Their eyes were closed and their face was relaxed, almost as if they were dreaming.

The second one who laid not too far from Goku, had black spiked hair wrapped in a ponytail, and bangs tracing down their forehead. They too had pale skin, but theirs is a lighter shade than the first.

The third one had thickly braided, bow-adorned, black hair. Her two front braids have two golden ornaments near the upper sections.

Finally, the fourth one, had tanned skin and spiky hair with bangs on both sides of their face while the majority of their hair is held up in a ponytail like the second.

Goku places a hand on the first's shoulder. "Hey, are you okay? Come on, wake up." He shook the child. The first responder groaned faintly, but didn't stir. Goku tried shaking the second one awake too, but they didn't budge either. He leans over the third one, placing a hand on their shoulder.

"Come on, open your eyes, sleepyhead." He nudges at the one he's been calling sleepyhead lightly. Still no response. He shakes the third one gently. Still nothing.

Suddenly, all four of their eyes shot open at the same time and turned to stare right into Goku's eyes.

Goku beamed brightly at them. "Oh, hey! You're finally awake-! WAH!" Goku yelped when all four of them jumped on him in succession. He let out a grunt as the first planted their boot on his chest.

All eyes narrowed down at Goku threateningly, looming over him. Lifting their hands they aimed down on him. Balls of yellow energy charging on all four of their palms, ready to fire off a barrage of attacks at any given moment. Goku gasped and quickly raised his arms to shield himself, closing his eyes tightly. He braced for impact but when none came, he slowly opened his eyes. He slowly lowered his arms, looking up at them confused.

They seemed to pause. Looking down at something with shocking expressions. They blinked and lowered their hands, their ball of energy disappearing.

Goku's eyes slowly moved to their direction, from his chest to his waist before landing at the source of their surprise: his tail. His eyes darted back up to the four individuals before him who were now staring at him, jaws agape.

"You're…a Saiyan?" The first in the middle asked in disbelief. Their voice sounded higher and fundamental, greater pitch that Goku never heard before, but it wasn't unpleasant or intimidating, it was simply surprising to him.

"Uh, what's a Saiyan?" Goku asks. Scratching the back of his head sheepishly, and staring at the group with curiosity.

Destruction.

That's what she was. Her, and her sisters; destruction. Destroying everything. Everything that she touched, everything her victims loved, destroyed and her, and her sisters did it with pleasure. They were cataclysm and death incarnate. But more than that; they were princesses of all Saiyans.

Each of the four has great potential and goals to achieve. Each of them having power and influence behind their backs that would ensure them victory. All four, born from the same womb and brought together because the universe decided they would form the greatest team.

It was destiny.

She knew, of course, fate. She understood, of course, the reason for her birthright to rule. She accepted it without any complaint. After all; that was her purpose.

Her sisters accepted it as well. They are close after all. They may have their differences, their differences being their strengths and personality but nevertheless, the four had stuck together through thick and thin.

Of them all, Cerofla was the most powerful. Despite her being a child, she was the strategist and had intelligence that rivaled even that of a mature adult. She could think on a tactical level, knowing where to go and how to fight, how to maneuver and plan accordingly with each step. She had many skills that surpassed that of even the greatest warriors, but she never let anyone know that; she hid this secret deep within herself. Though she never admits it to herself or her siblings, she loved her sisters dearly and protected and cared for them, just like the four of them had done for each other.

Lementine now, she appeared determined in the art of battle. Nor did she lack skill in combat. Her few scars were proof of that. But what truly distinguished her from the rest of the four were her strong will, which gave her strength, pride and her passion for fighting. She always loved and never backed down from a challenge. It was part of her personality, she'd always take on anyone that is a worthy opponent and gets excited when the fight gets tough. As she said before, "I don't give up easily, and I don't need anyone else telling me what to do." She'd say in her defense.

And then there was Figsene. She was decently strong though not to the point of surpassing her sister, Cerofla; however, she had a fiery temper which made her wild in battle and was more reliable than the average warrior scum one would see around. Although she wasn't as ruthless as Fejota was, she was a skillful fighter, and has a high degree of camaraderie with her sisters and a sense of honor. She is seen by Cerofla to have a maternal side, always checking up on her older sisters whenever they were hurt, tending to them when they needed comfort or support. But of course, these weren't traits that made her weak; rather it was her fierce and unwavering determination to win and be victorious that made her strong and formidable.

Fejota was more ruthless in her combat ability compared to Figsene. Even in battle she would use her fists and kicks to incapacitate an enemy, keeping up her ferocious style. However she preferred fighting alone when facing an opponent and not needing help from anyone. She also doesn't trust anyone but her sisters. That included the two younger ones. Never could she be a leader. That would require a certain level of confidence and drive coupled with the ability to command others, neither of which Fejota was blessed with. While she can be reckless at times due to her recklessness, she was a capable strategist and fighter, and had the heart of a true Saiyan. She was loyal to her sisters, especially Cerofla.

Cerofla stared at the boy on the ground. Her brows furrowed as she looked at him intently, examining the details on the blue clothing that covered his body. She couldn't quite tell what it was but it was certainly not anything she'd ever encountered in her life. What caught her attention was his long brown tail, which swayed side to side lazily. Indicating quickly to her that he was indeed a Saiyan; and she hadn't been mistaken in her guess.

But that indication was not what made her bewildered. No, it was that question he asked:

'Uh, what's a Saiyan?'

She blinked and stared blankly at him once again. The boy looked back at her, a puzzled expression on his face. Is he joking? She thought, raising a brow, and giving him a hard glare. "If this is some attempt to make me laugh then you're wasting your breath." She told the boy bluntly. The boy tilted his head as confusion washed over his face.

Cerofla removes her boot from the boy's chest. She folded her arms while still narrowing her eyes at him. "Get up, now." She ordered sharply. The boy complied and sat up, stretching his limbs as he got to his feet.

"I'm glad you're awake by the way." The boy commented, smiling at Cerofla. "But I wasn't joking though."

Fejota scoffed at him. "You can't be serious," she snorted. "How could you not know your own race? Who are you?"

The boy placed one bawled fist to his left hip, and used the other hand to point at himself proudly. "My name is Goku. G.O.K.U!" He announced cheerfully. Cerofla and her sisters raised a brow at the strange introduction.

Figsene spoke up. "Goku..?" She repeated dubiously. The boy nodded enthusiastically at her words.

"What kind of name is that? That's not a Saiyan name!" Fejota spat, crossing her arms in disapproval.

"And yet, he has a tail like us." Lementine added.

"Alright, Goku," Cerofla said, placing a single hand on her hip. "Tell us. Where are we here?"

"You're in the mountains of Mount Paozu, the home of my Grandpa Gohan. As well as my home too." Goku answered. Cerofla sternly shook her head.

"That's not what I meant. I mean what planet are we on?" She clarified. The boy furrowed his eyebrows.

"Earth...?" He answered in confusion.

"Earth…?" Cerofla muttered, repeating the word under her breath as if trying to comprehend. Earth? She's never heard of such a planet and she knew very little about planets outside of the solar system known as Earth, much less one as remote and unknown as this.

Figsene stepped forward slightly, holding her chin in thought. "Hmm… Earth. That's a planet I've never heard of." She commented. Cerofla nodded slowly in agreement.

Fejota smirked. "Hey, maybe we can use this planet as a new training ground to get stronger!" She suggested in amusement.

Lementine and Figsene both turned their heads at her with matching grins upon hearing the suggestion. Goku turned to them not understanding why the idea had garnered their immediate interest.

"Training ground?" He questioned curiously.

Fejota nodded eagerly. "Yeah, training grounds. We Saiyans train to increase our power and reach for new heights of potential." She explained proudly.

"Wow." Goku breathed in awe. His eyes widened in wonder. "You train to become stronger? Like super strong?"

Fejota nodded. "That's right. I don't know why you act so surprised; as a Saiyan you should know that already. But I guess not."

Goku looked down at his hands. Clenching them tightly into fists as he continued to stare intensely at his palms, muttering lowly to himself. "I think I understand now. I guess this means I'm not a human being after all." Lifting his head up once more, he smiles at the girls. "Hey, why don't you guys come to my house with me and I can cook you some food. You can tell me all about the Saiyans!"

Goku dodges through them, once again grabbing the fish's tail-fin with both hands, and resting said fin on his shoulder. Turning around, he faced the girls again and smiled warmly, waving to them. "Come on." He urged. "It will be fun!"

The four of them stood rooted to the spot. Fejota placed her hands on her hips, staring incredulously at the boy. "Now hold on a second you stupid softie. Who says we're going with you?" She demanded indignantly. Before Goku could respond, all four of the girls stomachs growled simultaneously making Goku giggle.

"I guess you guys are just as hungry as I am." Goku chuckled sheepishly. "I'll take that as a yes. C'mon, come on, let's go eat." And then he proceeded to jog off through the woods. The girls followed suit in unison behind him, while Goku pondered upon the events of this day.

A/N: This story is highly inspired by Her Warrior by RedLightsRedFights and that story alone has inspired me to write this. (Hope the author of that story is okay and hope they could continue soon). Anyway, hope you all enjoyed and see you in the next chapter!
