Hello there! Here's another update to clear things a bit. But.. but.. why are the reviews so less? *Puppy eyes*

Chapter 4: Mumbai, the dream City.

.

Mumbai Central, Mumbai.

"Boss bs kuch hi der mei train aa jayegi. Maine counter se pta kr liya h." Dr. Salunkhe spoke as he came towards his friend, who was continuously roaming and blubbering god knows what on his own.

"Theek hai. Phir mai nikalta hun mujhe kaam h!" And he turned around to go back but Salunkhe stopped him with his unbelievable tone.

"Adhe ghante se yaha train ka wait kr rhe ho. Aur ab jb train aane vali h toh tumhe kaam yaad aa rha h?" Salunkhe was very disappointed with this attitude of his friend. He knows the situations and the reasons, but still this seemed a little to much.

"Salunkhe dekh tu-"

"Mai nhi! Tum dekho! Pradyuman, tum khud use apne aap se door kr rhe ho. Itni fikar h toh dikhate kyu nhi?" He added softly after a pause, "Akhir voh deserve krta h yaar!" Salunkhe tried his best to explain his stupid friend but as we are talking about, he's the great Acp Pradyuman of course.

"Mai ja rha hu. Ghar pohunch ke phone kr dena." And he left completely leaving his disappointed friend behind.

Getting down from the train He unknowingly searched the desired person in the crowd, though he knew he wouldn't be here just to receive him.

"Arey Daya! Tarika!" The call from his God father broke the trance and he saw Dr. Salunkhe coming towards them with a concerned and relief look on his old face. It's been really tough for him too, Daya was sure to guess it from the way he panicked and rushed to approach them.

But what his heart compelled, Daya started looking around and behind but his hopes broke him again.

"Tum dono theek toh ho na bachhe?" Salunkhe asked them with a pure concern in his tone. He hugged his daughter cum assistant and was clearly relieved to meet her after this long.

"Ji sir hum theek h!" Tarika replied with some tears in her eyes threatening to fall. She couldn't stop the tears that arrived at her cheeks by now, but the relieving smile was evident that she was more than fine. She was very happy to get back to Mumbai, to her normal life, to her normal people.

Salunkhe got a little worried looking at the moisture in her eyes. He panicked again, "Tarika? Bachhe kya hua? Tum theek toh ho na?"

Daya stared at him saying these words to her and found himself a little jealous. He gazed away to hide his emotions but deep inside he still believed to see him at the station somewhere. Waiting outside maybe? He can never expect to have this kind of conversation with his father, but atleast he wished to see him come and receive, after a whole of 4 years and 7 months he counted since his last return to Mumbai.

He was pulled out of his thoughts when he saw Salunkhe hugging him. He hugged him back and mocked his own hopes that were highly impractical.

"Umm.. Sir nhi dikh rhe?" He asked intentionally looking at Tarika as if was trying to prove his point.

"Arey voh pichle ek ghante se yahi tha mere sath, lekin phir achanak DCP ka call agaya aur usse jana pada."

Daya laughed hiding the hurt and said, "Aap aj bhi achhi kahaniyan bna lete h Kaku!" He said and left immediately.

"Arey Daya esa kuch nhi.. suno toh-"

Before he could say further Tarika stopped him, "Rehne dijiye sir, voh nhi sunega!"

"Kya karu mai inn dono ka!" Salunkhe dropped the attempt and started following the stubborn kid, dejectedly.

Pradyuman Mansion.

.

Acp Pradyuman entered in his house with his right hand, discussing something about the case file that was open in Abhijeet's hand.

"Jee sir dekh lunga mai iss admi ko!" His eyes were still stuck on the file as he read, "Lekin sir iss Dr. Khanna ka kya krna h? TN hospital mei senior doctor h.. relation toh nhi h iska uss admi ke sath lekin shak toh h ispr."

Now for the first time he noticed unusual silence from the other side. He pulled his neck up to find a new entity sitting on the dining table totally unconcerned about the surroundings.

Abhijeet glanced at Acp and found him in a confusing state. Though he already recognised the 6 feet hunk as Acp's son Daya, he found a different pain in his Boss's eyes. Acp was just staring at his son who, Abhijeet felt, was intentionally faking the ignorance shit.

Here, Daya's eyes were barely open. He was so tired that he thought he wouldn't wake up before 12 hours atleast. He could roughly see what he was eating, just wanted to satiate his hungry stomach before heading to the bed. But all he could do was gulp everything in the spoon with his eyes closed and head resting on his palm with the elbow in support.

"Daya!" Acp spoke after processing so many thoughts and feelings running wildly in his brain. Abhijeet was confused to find his tone a little too professional.

"Ah.. ha.. haan?" Daya jerked loudly and stood up slowly, trying hard to keep his eyes open.

Acp's eyes widened at the very instant he saw the cut on his son's forehead still untreated. His heart pinched badly after observing the sleeve that was partially red. He wanted to know how he was, he wanted to hug him tightly, he wanted to know if he was in pain but.. he simply couldn't.

He buried all the emotions in his heart and spoke in a controlled tone, "Nhi kuch nhi.. tum rest kro. Hum baad mei baat krenge!"

And he left in his study room indicating Abhijeet to follow. Abhijeet was shocked by this rude behaviour and after giving a curious and close to concerned glance at Daya, he left too. Something in the stare was hidden which only the latter could see and retort.

Daya jerked his sleepy head and walked to his room slowly. He wasn't sure if he really heard what his father said, but that wasn't important to him anyway. He just threw himself on the bed carelessly, only after gulping a painkiller with much difficulty.

A/N:- Yes yes. Abhijeet and Daya are not at all close to each other! Rather, it's quite different kind of relation.

Further things will be revealed in further chapters. And so stay tunedddd!

And.. next chapter after 10 reviews straight.
