A/N I've decided I'm rebooting the Nanny! I feel bad for leaving it like I did but honestly in my opinion the story sucked. All my stories suck but that one was just ugh bad. I do still thank everyone who supported that story and I might update it one day. Until then I'm just going to reboot some old stories. This story is going to have the same concept as far as the Nanny thing; everything else is going to be completely new and fresh. And I'll be using new characters that I don't normally use. Please forgive any mistakes.
Chapter 1
Rukia Sode was down on her luck. She was twenty-nine and jobless. She finished college and got her degree but alas she had no luck with getting a job. Rukia lived in a one bedroom apartment. It was cheap but she still needed money to pay for rent and bills nonetheless. Rukia was a short pale petite girl with pretty violet eyes. She had long black hair that she wore in a side ponytail and occasionally down at times when she was too lazy. Rukia loved baking. She got the highest degree possible for culinary arts and even got an internship while she was in college for a big time baker by the name of Kirio Hikifune. Unfortunately she didn't get the job her now ex boyfriend Ashido Kano got the job which left her devastated. After Ashido got the job he dumped Rukia quickly and in a hurry. She wasn't even hurt by their breakup. If anything she was furious that he got the job especially since she knew she had better skills. Rukia's ultimate dream was to own her own bakery. Until then she had to get a job quickly so she was headed to what felt like her tenth interview that week for an entry bakers position. Rukia walked confidently in her nice flowery blouse and white pants with nice comfortable dress shoes to finish her outfit. Rukia was grateful the weather was nice for September especially since she didn't have a car and had to walk a good majority of the way to places.
Rukia took a deep breath as she stopped in front of a small little bakery. It was nice and got good business. The name could use some work especially since the name 'Bakery' was a bit boring to her. Rukia stood for a bit just on the sidewalk in front of the bakery her nerves were getting the best of her and for some weird reason she was way too scared to move. She looked at the time and saw it was five-thirty. Her interview started at thirty-five. She was early but that was good. Rukia took one more big gulp of air and entered the establishment. Inside the shop was cute. It showed breads of different kinds and different flavored cakes, pastries etc. Rukia thought it was very adorable; they had tables in the front set up like any normal café. They had a little bar set up with outlets for students to do homework or for people to catch up on work. Rukia really wanted this job; it was perfect for her to start out and to try new experiments out. Rukia went to the front counter where there was a bell. She looked at the note and saw it was meant to be rang if staff were not in the front. Rukia closed her eyes, breathed and rang the bell putting a quick smile on her face.
It didn't take long for someone to walk out. Rukia stood up straighter and bowed in front of the lady. She was tall and skinny. She had crystal blue eyes and makeup caked on her face. She was wearing a comfortable looking shirt with the name of the store plastered on it in all types of colors. She was also wearing an apron and plain black jeans. She had her long blonde hair up in a high ponytail. Rukia could see agitation on the girl's overdone face but Rukia just continued to smile as she really needed this job.
"How can I help you?" She asked.
Rukia could hear the irritation but she simply continued to smile," I'm here for the interview. My name is Rukia Sode. I was scheduled for five-thirty five ."
The girl rolled her eyes, "The position is already filled, sorry."
Rukia shook her head, "No what do you mean? I saw that you were looking for multiple candidates."
"Look you just aren't what we are looking for. Have a good day."
Rukia's face dropped as the blonde girl pointed to the door signaling her wanted to fight, she wanted to scream at the blonde bitch in front of her but she knew it would be no point. She was tired of arguing with everyone on why she didn't get the job even though she met all the qualifications and then some. She sighed and left defeated as she walked back to her apartment. She honestly had no idea what to do next. Rent was due and her phone bill had to be paid soon. She was running out of TV dinners to keep her from starving. She was stumped so she did the only thing she knew how to bake.
She threw her clothes off in her tiny little room, took a quick shower in her very tight bathroom and changed into a cute little black nightgown. She put her hair up in a messy bun, turned on some nice soothing music and started making whatever her hands guided her to. It was relaxing when she was to herself and just baking her desserts. She was in her element and she was happy. She thought about all the jobs that had rejected her. All saying she wasn't a good fit or wasn't qualified. She really didn't understand why no one would give her a chance. She was just finishing up her cupcakes, setting them on the counter to cool before she iced them. Just as she was turning off the stove there was a knock on her door. Rukia frowned as she turned the stove off and washed her hands. She turned her music off and made sure her house looked relatively clean. She prayed as she went to the door that it was not her landlord she would absolutely die in a hole if he was at the door. It was eight at night though so Rukia prepared for the worst. She opened the door and immediately groaned. It was her brother and sisters at the door, her oldest sister Hisana and her youngest sister Homura and Shizuku, her younger brother. Rukia groaned as they let themselves in.
Hisana was the oldest. She was thirty-four years old and she looked just like Rukia. People for some reason always mistaken them for twins; they eventually got tired of correcting people and just went along with it. Like Rukia Hisana was petite with pale skin but unlike Rukia Hisana had short shoulder length hair and different from Rukia's purple eyes Hisana had purple irises with a hint of blue in them. Hisana was a secretary who worked for her boyfriend Byakuya Kuchiki, a big CEO business guy. Byakuya Kuchiki was a stern and uptight man opposite of Hisana who was fun and loving but she loved him and that was all that mattered. Hisana lived with Byakuya in a nice little condo. She was spoiled by him but she deserved it. She was thirteen when their parents passed away. Rukia was only eight years of age when they died, she remembered them but not everything. Hisana on the other hand remembered everything. Their parents had died in a car accident on their way home from their romantic anniversary vacation. Hisana remembered being over at their aunt's house and finding out about their horrendous deaths. Hisana was depressed for a long aunt had taken them in to avoid the system from taking and separating them. Hisana suffered from depression, sadness, and had developed abandonment issues. She had to see a psychiatrist up until she was eighteen. Hisana cared for her younger siblings no matter what. She had a job at the age of fifteen and helped her aunt out by taking care of her younger siblings, cleaning and cooking. Their aunt wasn't rich by any means but she made due with what she had to support the four of them. Hisana got her degree in business where she then got a job at her boyfriend's job as an assistant. She loved it and she even helped out in business meetings occasionally. She was making good money for herself and was so happy to be able to provide for herself.
Homura was the third oldest. She was twenty-five and she looked nothing like Rukia or Hisana. Their aunt always told them that Rukia and Hisana had their mothers features whereas Homura and Shizuku had their fathers features. Homura had dyed spiked blonde hair and the roots to which she dyed pink and emerald eyes. She was immature usually but at times she was serious. She was still in college and was studying arts. She wanted to be a famous painter. She loved to paint and draw ever since she was a kid. She was close to getting done with her studies. She lived on campus and would sell Rukia's desserts to help her out with bills and rent. Homura was only four when her parents died so she didn't remember them as much as Rukia or Hisana did. She just remembered little things such as being picked up and loved. Hormura was a tomboy along with arts; she also played for the college soccer team. She loved it and did a good job at it but she knew she didn't want to play soccer for the rest of her life. She worked at a small retail store. She hated it but she needed the money and it was the only job available. She often would spend the night over Rukia's place or her aunt's place since she hated her roommate. Homura hated a lot of things but she loved her family that was for certain.
Shizuku was the youngest and only boy in the family. He was twenty-four. He was lean and very pale; he was a shade off from being albino. He, like Hisana, had short shoulder length black hair. He had pretty lavender eyes and his hair usually covered his right eye. He was an angsty guy. He seemed unimpressed with life and always gave people the impression that he was dead inside. Shizuku was in school for programming and he wanted to work on video games. He found it absolutely interesting how the different code worked and could do it all day everyday. He was often saddened by the fact that he couldn't remember his parents. He was only three when they died. It led to him having to see a psychiatrist. He often thought about suicide when he was younger. He thought if he killed himself he'd be able to see his parents had to have years of therapy to help him. He loved his sisters and he'd do anything for them. He lived with their aunt, never moving out; he was too dependent on his aunts and sisters and they knew it as well. Like his two other sisters he was single and to be quite honest he despised people that when he was younger he would disassociate himself with the world. That earned him a couple more years with his psychiatrist. Now at the age of twenty-four he has been doing a lot better and he even goes out now and then but these are still baby steps.
Rukia rolled her eyes as her siblings made themselves at home. Hormura was in the kitchen getting herself some milk and grabbing a cupcake as well. Hisana was sprawled on her couch flipping through channels and Shizuku was sitting at her small little dining room table waiting for Homura to bring him a cupcake over to the table. Rukia eyed them up and down giving a confused look.
"Why in the hell are you all wearing onesies?"
The three all looked at each other and then themselves and shrugged. Hisana was wearing a purple onesie with cute little cats on them. Homura's onesie white with little cows on it, while Shizuku's was black with little green bats on it. Rukia tapped her foot waiting for an answer.
"We were too lazy to put clothes on geez. Hormura said her roommate was being annoying and she wanted to leave. So being the awesome sister I am, I picked her up. Then she blabbed to Shizuku and I had to drive all the way to aunt Shiryuki's house to pick him up." She stood and glared at her two youngest siblings, "On the other side of town!"
Homura laughed as she sat a cupcake in front of Shizuku and sat next to him at the table. He immediately started munching on it as if he was a five year old and was discovering sweets for the first time.
"Well if you weren't the only one with a car I would not need your services in driving me around." Homura stated.
Hisana huffed as she sat back on the couch and kept flipping through channels. Rukia wanted to kick them out; she was not in the mood to deal with her annoying siblings. Unfortunately she knew better than to ever try and kick them out. She loved them and they loved her so sibling time even though it was sometimes annoying was appreciated. Shizuku gulped down his cupcake and slurped down Homura's milk. She glared at him as she slid her cup back to her side. Shizuku examined Rukia's place and saw the ingredients on the counter and noticed how Rukia had had her pantry in disarray.
"Are you okay Rukia?" Shizuku asked.
Homura and Hisana both turned to look at Rukia with worry and concern. Rukia sighed as she stood in the kitchen. She knew one of them would figure it out eventually but she wished they would have just not said anything. Rukia grabbed some icing out of the pantry and started to spread it on the untouched cupcakes. Rukia could hear Hisana scrambling off the couch and running to her. She grabbed Rukia and turned her so she could see her sister's face. She looked her up and down and frowned.
"You didn't get the job. Oh no I'm sorry."
Homura scowled as she bit into her cupcake. She could taste the cream and sweetness but there was a bitter taste to them she was noticing. She gasped and looked at Rukia.
"They were mean to you?"
Rukia took a breath. They knew each other like the back of their hands but it was annoying at times. It was especially annoying when they could tell what was wrong with her by just examining her house, face, and even her bakes. Hisana and Hormura were ready for a fight. They were asking what their name was, and if it was a girl or boy, their location. Shizuku just rolled his eyes and stood up to stretch.
"So what movie are we watching tonight? I don't have any classes tomorrow and I'm sure Homura isn't going to her dorm anytime soon because of her roommate. Hisana are you staying?"
Hisana turned to her brother and nodded, "Of course my little Rukia is going to need us through this trying time of being jobless. I'll make the popcorn. Homura set the cupcakes up. Shizuku, you get the drinks. Rukia you pick a movie."
Hisana handed Rukia the remote and pointed to her little couch. Rukia exhaled and grabbed the remote and looked for a movie they could all watch. While everyone was getting everything prepared Rukia checked her phone looking for jobs while she searched for a movie. She settled on a short little animated movie. Shizuku handed Rukia a soda while he sat on the floor. He had four cupcakes piled on his plate. Hisana sat on the couch next to Rukia and handed her a bowl of popcorn. Rukia took it and saw that Hisana had two cupcakes and some candy she found from Rukia's fridge on a came over last after turning all the lights off. She sat the plated cupcakes on the floor in the middle where she and Shizuku could reach for them when they needed and laid next to Shizuku on the floor.
Rukia started the movie up and slumped in the comfy little couch and looked at her phone. She kept scrolling through job websites looking for a quick job. She needed something at this point; it could be anything it didn't even have to do with baking. When the movie was over everyone was sound asleep. Rukia snorted and quietly cleaned up. She grabbed some blankets from her closet and placed them on top of Shizuku and Homura. She grabbed Hisana's special blanket she always left over her house and placed them on top of her. Rukia then cut the tv off and snuck to her room to get her blankets. She decided to pile in next to Shizuku. She smiled and looked at her phone one more time just to check and see if anything caught her eye. She looked and scrolled until her eyes stumbled onto a popup ad. She zoomed in on it and tilted her head in thought.
"A Nanny?"
A/N Comment and review give me some constructive criticism. Hope you enjoyed reading this reboot. I am trying to implement characters in the bleach universe that are barely used. I don't know what you guys think about me adding Shizuku and Homura? Well I should be updating a story once a month at least. I try to update 2-3 stories once a month but once I'm done with We live in different worlds, I'll just have Parent life and The Nanny and maybe my little yaoi stories lol. Tell me what you think I should do. Do you guys think I should take a break? I know it's a weird question but I've been thinking about it just going on hiatus. Tell me your thoughts. See you through the screen.
