Reader's POV~
Kaien flashed into the meet area as they arrived. "Ichigo did you get lost? We've been looking for you." Ichigo looked down and pouted. "I didn't mean to get lost Kaien nii-chan. I honestly just tried to get where I'd find you. But I ran into captain Hitsugaya and his sister. She's in the same class as me, nii chan." Kaien raised an eyebrow and looked at Juushiro Ukitake. "It's true, Yukihana Hitsugaya, year one. Advanced studies. Younger sister of captain Toshiro Hitsugaya. She has waited for this, not many people know about her." Juushiro explained to everyonw.
Kaien looked at his captain. "Why do not many people know about her? ' Miyako looked at her husband. "It's for her safety,if it got out to early, who knows what would happen. She is the captain Hitsugaya's little sister, who knows what would happen."Shunsui chimed in. Miyako's eyes widened as she saw what they meant.
Ichigo's POV~
I was so excited I made a new friend. About ten minutes after the adults finished I looked towards the stage. There were 13 men and women wearing white cloaks as shun~chan and uki~nii joined. 'The thirteen captains.' I thought as we waited for the speech. "Ichigo you ready?" Whispered Gan~nii chan. I wasn't but I can deal with my anxiety. "Welcome first years to the shinoreijutsuien, I am Yamamoto soutaichou. I am head of the academy and the thirteen court guards. You are to become soul reapers. These are the captains of the squads. Captain Soi Fon of squad two, captain Gin Ichimaru of squad three, captain Retsu Unohana of squad four, captain Sosuke Aizen of squad five, captain Byakuya Kuchiki of squad six, Captain Sajin Kommamura of squad seven, captain Shunsui Kyouraku of squad eight, captain Kaname Tosen of squad nine, captain Toshiro Hitsugaya of squad ten, captain Kenpachi Zaraki of squad eleven, captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi of squad twelve, and captain Juushiro Ukitake of squad thirteen. These captains help protect all of soul society and the world of the living." He finally was done explaiining.
I nodded and looked at everyone. Somewere bored, some were aptly listening, others wanted the speech over and done with. "Jeesh some of these first years get antsy easily." Kaien said as he shook his head.
