"AGH! I'm so fucking bored!" He flailed on the sand-covered floor, looking up at the lid of his container. He could just hop out of his container and ditch it, though that meant he'd have to drag the pot around, as he didn't want to deal with swarms of Heroes because he accidentally destroyed some property, and the family that owned the pot for generations since he put himself into the pot, and now the pot's latest owner made a terrible financial decision and messed with the wrong people. "Ugh, guess I'll move the pot." There was no enthusiasm in his voice as he got up, though just as he put his hands on the lid, he heard a voice.
"Here you go sir, It's all that I have ." The voice was timid and sounded young, possibly a twelve-year-old boy, the pot suddenly shifted causing him to lose balance and fall to his rear and let out a small yelp, "Here take it, it's all I can show as a sign of gratitude." He heard what the old hobo said and his beady eyes sparkled with excitement 'My prayers have been answered!', "Um… Thank you but are you sure you don't need it?" The pot shifted again "I don't need this old thing, don't even know what's inside it." Soon he felt something coming off the kid, uncertainty, overwhelming amounts of self-doubt, and a flickering bit of hope. Now that was odd, he understood the uncertainty but self-doubt was something that he wasn't expecting, was this kid bullied or did he have confidence issues? 'Dé ja vu' he thought.

Izuku just received a weird ceramic pot from a homeless man, the pot was black with blue swirl-like markings covering it and the number one written on it made it look like it came from somewhere Arabic, its design wasn't strange or anything, it just gave off a weird vibe.
Izuku took his usual route home, but this time he felt like something was watching him so he quickened his pace. He was familiar with the feeling, but it was usually shortly followed by Bakugo and his friends jumping him or after he caught Izuku writing in his hero notebook "Though Kachan hasn't done that for years." He slowed his pace at the thought, maybe he was being paranoid, he walked towards his apartment complex, looking through recent news and not noticing the lid of the pot had lifted slightly open.

'Man I thought this kid could've been rich, like the people Isobu's living with, from what I hear the number two hero came from that family last I heard.' As the kid went up two flights of stairs, his thoughts drifted towards the other two, Siblings? Relatives?, living in Japan "Konkuro and Matatabi would probably get a kick out of this." He pouted quietly as he watched the kid enter the apartment "I'm home!" His stomach growled when the scent of curry hit his nose 'Restrain yourself Shukaku, you don't know how these people would react if they found there was a strange Tanuki in a pot the kid got from a homeless man.' He was soon set down on a coffee table facing the television, now Shukaku felt like life was teasing him as he peered at the TV's slight reflection.
'Damnit, I want to finish off JJK!' He cursed internally, looking through said reflection, he watched the kid talk to a woman who looked similar to him, if not a little chubby, presumably the mother, probably about his residence, they both had dinner and soon he was watching the news, though the fact that they had leftover curry caught his interest, "Shouldn't the Sports Festival be going on?" The mother wondered, it took a second for Shukaku to realize she meant the U.A Sports Festival, which was soon on the TV, 'I don't get how this surpassed the Olympics in popularity.' it was the first one he watched, the hero on the podium explaining the rules to the students, Midnight, looked and sounded familiar but Shukaku couldn't place a finger on why? the humans he knew were either dead, in hiding, or homeless.
It wasn't till hours later the two went into their respective rooms for the night that Shukaku was able to climb out of the pot, making sure his tail was wrapped around the pot's handle, that was when his his gut growled again "Yeah I know, I take care of you once I get done." He whispered as he looked around, searching for a place to plant the first seal, he decided on the couch since it was closest and he needed to do it fast, he released his tail grip on the pot and leaped from the coffee table and onto the couch cushion, immediately he could already feel himself rapidly growing in size, he gathered chakra into his hands and spat on them and rubbing them together before shoving them in between the couch cushions, blindly searching for a spot where the seals wouldn't be easily seen when the cushions were removed, he instantly planted the seals when he found the spot and in a puff of smoke he was back to the size he was before, he chuckled to himself 'I have to thank dad for making me so good at sealing justu.' The only ones that could rival him in that department were the Uzumaki clan and their extinct.
Shukaku went around and repeated the process, putting the same seal in discrete spots on the furniture, even placing one on the floor underneath the oven, though that one took a lot out of him since it was technically the entire apartment complex he put under the seal's effect, by the end of it he was on his back breathing hard, his fur sticky from sweat, and exhausted "Dammit…that took way…more out of… me then it should..." He huffed 'But it was worth it, now I don't need to drag around that pot, and now I know that I should limit the seals' effect to just the apartment.'
He sat up and licked his lips "Curry here I come, maybe they got some mochi." Shukaku got up on his feet and opened the fridge, his eyes locked on the plastic container containing and began salivating, the container was as big as he is, maybe a little bigger, he pulled out the curry and open the lid, the curry's strong aroma hitting his nose.
Shukaku had to be careful while guzzling down the curry, he didn't need a mess to lap up nor people wondering where their food went, so he manipulated the sand in the pot to hold the pot steady, though after a few seconds his senses alerted him to shock, confusion, and fear, immediately he stopped eating turned his head toward the source, it was the kid and Shukaku's been caught. Instantly Shukaku willed the sand he was manipulating towards the kid, to fast for him to notice or react to, wrapping it around his mouth to muffle him, the kids eyes were filled with fear and tears "Shit, haven't been here for a day and I'm caught I'd say that's a record." He grumbled to himself, he scratched his chin as he wondered what Son Goku would do in this situation, though he went and chose Europe so he can't contact him "Now listen here kid, I'll free your mouth and let ya speak again, all ya gotta do is be quiet and your gonna listen to what I've got to say, are we clear?" The kid rapidly nodded his head.
And with that the grip the sand had on the kid was released.

Izuku was terrified, he only woke up because something about his apartment felt off like it was suddenly laced with a different kind of air that felt slightly…chaotic, next thing he knew was that he found the oddest looking and fattest tanuki he ever seen guzzling his moms curry like there was no tomorrow, the tanuki had sand-brown fur, navy-blue markings all over its body, and the signature 'mask' of a tanuki, the strangeness of the tanuki was partly because its eyes and tail, instead of being ringed and fluffy it's tail was made of layered sand colored scales with markings of the same navy-blue, and its eyes had pupils in the shape of four-pointed stars with sand-brown irises, even crazier was that it appeared to have a sand manipulating quirk, the curry container being held aloft by sand and the tanuki drank the curry, he readbon the internet that animals could awaken quirks, 'There were even rumors that UA's current principle was an animal, but they were so few and far between that I never expected one to be in my kitchen!'.
When the tanuki noticed him it launched the sand at Izuku's face, he wanted to move out of the way but his body was frozen with fear, the sand wrapped around his mouth muffling his cries for help 'Oh god is this thing gonna kill me?!' Izuku grasped desperately at the sand to free his mouth but his fingers only went through the soil no matter how much he clawed at it, but then he felt the same felling that woke him up, now more defined, was it the tanuki's doing that his home felt off? The tanuki had a sort of tame yet chaotic and mature aura about it. "Shit, haven't been here for a day and I'm caught I'd say that's a record." As if the night couldn't get any weirder the tanuki spoke, it looked at the ground with its hands on its chin, as if it was deep in thought 'Is it decideing on what to do to me?' Izuku looked at the tanuki as tears stung his eyes, before speaking again.
Soon Izuku was freed and watched as the almost struggled to get on the coffee table before using the sand as a step, the tanuki leaned back into a sitting position before locking eyes with the green haired tween "So kid, what do you want to ask me, you can ask me anything." Izuku didn't even know where to start, obviously with the name but outside of that it was hard to continue from there "Imeanoutsideofyournameandquirkisyourquirkthereasonyoucanspeakandyourstrangeappeance…" Izuku's rapid fire muttering quickly irritated the tanuki "Okay stop! Clearly I shouldn't have let you start." The tanuki cleared his throat before introducing itself "My name is Shukaku, but you humans wrote me down in your folklore as the One Tailed Sand Spirit." The name sounded familiar to Izuku till it dawned on him that his history class did a subject on them for a mythology test "Wait, you mean your one of the nine Tailed Beast, but I thought those were myths?!" But at that moment Izuku realized something was off "But aren't you a bit small? I-I mean I read that you were the size of skyscrapers but your…n-not." Izuku motioned to the pudgy tanuki's frame Shukaku chuckled, feeling a sense of Dè ja vù.
He pointed his thumb to himself "Well our current size is thanks to me, I specialize in seals, and I made one that when planted on a object, shrinks us when touching it" Izuku watched as a red translucent energy seeped from Shukakus hand, covering it in a bubbling cloak "I won't go into the specific's of how it works since you don't know how justu work, but just know that I use my chakra to make the seal so it only responds to me, like how your phone can be unlocked with only your fingerprint." He explained, Izuku jotted in his head what he heard but he never even heard of chakra, "So what is 'chakra', is that your power?" Shukaku shrugged "No not exactly, it's more like a life energy that I can tap into and weaponize, I can use it to transform, seal other people or objects away, I cans even resurrect the dead if I wanted to, I'm literally made of the stuff." Izuku was amazed at the stuff that he heard being listed, but then a thought occurred "Wait, was that why I was woken up?" Shukaku looked at him with an inquisitive look "Cause I woke and everything felt off and you have this weird aura about you, does that have anything to do with chakra?" The tailed beast stared at Izuku wide-eyed which made the green-haired human nervous, was something wrong with him, why was he staring at him like that.
Shukaku closed his eyes and chuckled almost loudly "Hahahaha, I didn't expect to find a sensor-type, especially in this day and age hahaha!" 'A sensor-type, what's that? And why was he not expecting to find one?' "S-so what's a s-sensor-type?" Shukaku jumped onto his feet "You my dear friend are probably the rarest type of human in the age of quirks, one that can sense chakra, which also means that your also able to tap into your chakra network and use your chakra freely!"Izuku was even more surprised, he has chakra?! But he was a quirkless nobody, how could he tap into the same stuff as a force of nature "What do you mean I can use my chakra freely?!" Shukaku suddenly jumped from the coffee table and onto Izuku's lap causing to almost yelped, it was like someone's dropped a soft, squishy bowling ball on his lap.
Shukaku jabbed a finger in Izuku's chest "What I'm saying kid it that your part of the 20 percent of humans who can freely manipulate their chakra without limitations and don't need to be handed that ability, and I don't think you get how rare a sensor type is, 5,000 years ago I only knew of three sensor types and they were extremely sk-" he stopped his near rant as a thought popped into his head and a devilish smile appeared on his muzzle "Hey, why don't I teach you everything I know." Izuku blinked, processing what he just hear, teach him? Like teach him how to be a hero "But why teach me?" Shukaku clenched his fist, a fire burning in his eyes "Cause I need to prove Matatabi wrong, that I can have student way stronger than that Uzumaki brat using a slightly methodology!" So that was it, Izuku was going to be trained just to prove a point 'I didn't know that mythological beings can be petty, but I shouldn't say no, this could be my only chance to become a hero'
Shukaku suddenly let out a sigh, which came as a surprise to Izuku, was there something about the methodology that Shukaku didn't like "Listen kid I'm not gonna beat around the bush, if you agree to this that also means that you agree to becoming my Jinchuriki, which means that I'll be sealed inside of you and if I'm somehow removed from you, you die, do you agree with these terms?" He said somberly, Izuku gulped so that's what Shukaku was worried about, if he agreed to this he'll die if something extracts Shukaku from him but if this is his one and only chance the world decided to give him to become hero he'd be throwing his dream away if he said no "Yes, I do." Shukaku closed his eyes and crossed his arms "Alright kid but let's do this tomorrow, it's getting late and I'm going to need some rest for the sealing to work." Shukaku hopped back onto the coffee table and slinked back into the teapot 'So that's how he got in, I brought him in' Izuku slowly walked back into his room, hoping that tomorrow goes smoothly and that this dream was just that, a dream.
