Major AU post season 4 SYOC (Open): The All Valley Tournament had a slightly different outcome, two champions filled with regrets and anger. Fifteen years have passed and while many things change, some stay the same. And Cobra Kai and all it has meant, never dies. Will a new generation finally bring old friends and old enemies together?

Prologue: 15 years ago

Miguel's POV

I never thought I'd find myself here again, and that sense of walking over my own grave, well a new paint job can't do much to fix that. It might be a new location, but it's clearly the same place, even the lettering on the wall is the same. Was this how Mr. LaRusso felt?

[Are you coming dude?] I know we don't have much time and I really don't want to be here longer than necessary. [They're already at the hospital!]

"Diaz, relax." I was startled as Robby walked out of the back."Silver's not due back until Monday and I handled the cameras." He held up one of the dismounted security cams. "I can put this back up before he even notices."

Could he though? I eyed him suspiciously. "Sure…"

"Do you wanna drive, because…" Robby held up his keys.

"No, no way," I shook my head. "I barely passed that test. And you know as much as we went through, kinda don't want us dead, not today."

"Thought so," Robby went out the door.

I fought the urge to turn back around as Robby and I walked to Sensei's car. He'd taken Mom's, this game plan having been mapped at least two months ago.

Sensei had forced the issue for us, the elephant in the room, as soon as Robby had found out what was going on between Kenny and Anthony LaRusso, and had made the unexpected choice to find his dad. And he'd forced it in the most unexpected way possible. I knew my mom hadn't been feeling herself, but I didn't put the pieces together.

But now we were driving to the hospital, brothers whether we actually could be or not.

And even with the tournament behind us, Cobra Kai was stronger than ever. But at least our family would be too, even on different sides. Right?

Tory's POV

It hadn't been a hard choice, not really. Mrs. LaRusso had asked me to do one thing, and I had tried…I really had. But that asshole couldn't even give me the chance to do that much. So I'd gone to get answers.

"Do you really think anyone will believe you? They didn't even believe you could win this. All I did…was show them the potential they couldn't see." Silver said.

I bristled at the words.

"I can still help you Ms. Nichols, if you'll let me."

"You're asking me to let this go? Fuck you!" I spat. "I'm going to call the cops."

Silver didn't flinch. He almost smiled. Because he knew… if I did that, I'd lose…and I'd gone to the tournament looking for a win.

"There's no need for that, I help my champions."

So I've played with different versions of this idea before, with different reconciliations or lack thereof in RPs and fics before but I thought it could make a really really interesting SYOC story. If you may not have guessed already, this is playing with a different way of Miguel and Robby reconciling or at least trying to and it will flash forward quite a bit. This is mixing elements from seasons four and five and season 5 did not happen. Here are the details to know spoilers are present below for those who haven't finished the series so far so be warned:

The bet was the same losing dojo closes its doors

Robby was still in Cobra Kai and still trained Kenny, Anthony and Kenny still went at it. Robby did catch them.

The change is this a switch in matches: Eli vs Robby happened earlier and instead of Eli vs Miguel, the match was Robby vs Miguel with Robby seeing Miguel's setback.

Thus: Robby won by default. This is strictly to make things interesting all these years later in this AU, I am not devaluing the canon outcome of Eli as champion or trying to be a Robby stan as I do really enjoy it and Hawk's arc as it stands and they are both equally matched as martial artists and characters. With that out of the way…

Tory still won for the girls side and Silver still played dirty

Robby stayed with Cobra Kai and never hashed things out with the LaRussos, taking over the expanding Cobra Kai dojo. But like season 5, Johnny and Carmen having a baby brings Miguel and Robby together.

That's the basic pre time jump spoilers that make this AU.

Now for the fun part.

Characters needed.

To start: I'll probably need about four to six

bully characters, think Johnny and crew in the first karate kid or Kyler and co, but be creative. These can be legacy characters or not, these can be Cobras or not. That's up to you, but I will need other legacies. Just let me know if you wanna combine roles.

Legacies are characters with family relation to our main crew, both Miyagi Do/Eagle Fang and Cobras. As this story fast forwards about fifteen years, most of these characters should be in their freshman or sophomore year or younger but there can be exceptions if you have an idea you really wanna try or as the senseis would say fight for or an extra character not listed here, run it by me, I love collaborations ;) Please be specific and detailed, do not just say, "Character is like Robby/Johnny/Miguel/ Sam". Even being related to canons no one is exactly like their parents. The more you give me the more I can do. :) I will also let you lovely readers have first pick before I choose an OC or two of mine to add to the mix. The characters with asterisks next to them, let me know if you want to make one of them as there are specific details tied to their role or the family's arc in this AU not listed here or they may be tied to other characters. I also need some non legacy kids/teens as well

This is advice I love to think about, every character is the main character of their own story. So keep that in mind, whether your character plays by Cobra rules, Miyagi rules, eagle fang rules or their own rules.

Everyone can start by at least submitting up to three characters so everyone that wants to can submit , but if I need others, you can absolutely submit more than that through PM or guest review. I will keep it open until December 15th and the form will be on top of my profile.
