Chapter 65

As Maya convulsed, experiencing a seizure, Alesia only observed at a safe distance. Gathering energy after an exhaustive fight. Suddenly the seizure stopped, the blue Siren passed out yet her Siren marks glows bright blue. The blue hue changed into yellow. The marks also changed to a different pattern. The distance remained the same, Alesia raised her chin seeing what was happening.

"Hurghh!" Maya suddenly gasped for air.

Eyes open wide, inhaling as much oxygen as her lungs permitted in one go. Her eyes were no longer blue, so was her Siren Channels. All of it became golden. The short hair began to grow, changing to gold. Everything changed aside from her face and her body.

"Already done with the ritual Kirei?" Alesia gloated.

Maya, rather precisely, Akari sat up and exhaled long out of her lungs. Her back perched, she breathed normally a moment later. Akari raised her hands and looked at her palm. A smile forms on her lips, the ends almost reaching to the eyes. Akari squeezed her hands into fist then looked to her teacher, Alesia.

"It's good to be young again. Kirei." She spoke to her mentor. "All the power and she just read books. Not my type."

The Channels on Alesia arm began to emerge again, the hateful glare continued.

"Perhaps she was brought up to be a goddess in Athenas." The smile on Akari's face was as wide as Maya's face allowed. "But you were right to call her a child."

Akari pushed herself up with one hand. She wobbled for a moment like a toddler but her stance became firm moments later. Maya's face began to morphed, subtly changing into Akari's face. Her face changing was akin to her Channels, from blue it turned to gold. From the serious Maya to the soft Akari.

"So what was the plan Mirei?" Alesia put her hands on her back. "Manipulate the child to the transfer ritual?"

"Persuading, Kirei, I persuaded her. She wanted to give her all to the Society. So she herself consented to give her body to me." Akari grimaced. "If she listened to me and ran back to Pandora, I would be reborn with her body. Now I have to fight you before heading out in the world again."

"You destroyed the Society and you want to build it again? I trust your Searchers more than you."

"I was Acting Nia. The Aldarise did not fully support me."

"For good reason, mind you."

"We were already weak at the time. That's why you left."

"I left because I don't care about The Society."

"To then what, Kirei? To live a normal life with a commoner? A lowly software engineer?"

Alesia scowled at Akari but did not respond. It made Akari smile seeing such a reaction from her mentor.

"Thank you Maya." Akari's face was fully transformed, no trace of Maya again. "Little One was too innocent for her powers. An idiot but I'm thankful. Now I can kill my Kirei then rebuild the Siren Society again."

"The child might be an idiot. But at least she did not wage war on every corporation she could think of." Thundalya taunted.

"I won't make the same mistake Thundalya!" Akari spat. "After killing you, I will gather all the Sirens across the galaxy and rebuild The Siren Society again. With the Aldarise no longer here, I proclaim myself as the rightful Nia to all Sirens!"

"The last Aldari is right in front of you, Mirei." Alesia's Channels began to glow bright. "I reject the notion."

Alesia attacked by throwing the quickest thunderbolt she could make. In a split second, Akari saw a thunderbolt arrive right in front of her. It landed on her stomach and electrocuted her instantly. The next second, another thunderbolt pushed her far back like a truck coming from a hill. Her back crashed through multiple trees despite the thickness and strength of the wood. Her body began to roll and finally stopped as she hit a rock.

Akari opened her eyes and endured the pain, she shook her head and smirked. "Time to see what this body is capable of."

She pulled her body out of the rock, leaving a big crack. Closed her eyes and focused on her powers. The blue wings began to materialise and with it, another pair of wings, having a golden accent. One Siren, two pairs of wings. Her powers surging radically. She went down and prepared herself like an elite sprinter before a race. Her wings began to flutter like a pigeon, preparing for liftoff. When she opened her eyes…

She travelled through the distance at sonic speed!

The shock on Alesia's face as Akari arrived right in front of her. Akari attempted an uppercut to the chin of Thundalya. Alesia tilted her head just enough for the attack to miss, her Siren powers assisted the evasion. There was an opening, Alesia punched Akari's body with an electric fist. Akari prepared for the hit. It connected her stomach and staggered her back a few steps away. Alesia followed up with two punches to the chin that connected fluidly.

Akari dashed away, Alesia followed her. The student tricked the teacher to overextend her fist. Akari tilted back and gave a strong sidekick to Alesia's stomach. Extending her leg to the fullest extent, the kick damaged and pushed her far away into The Temple of Truth. Alesia rolled over through the forest again like a pebble. The momentum fully stopped not far from the statue. Alesia tried to stand on her two feet, covering her mid body showed how effective it was. With the four wings, Akari cut through the forest and arrived at the temple entrance.

The Host sniggered. Stood tall in front of her downed mentor.

Drenched in sweat, covering her stomach while moving away, Alesia breathed through her mouth.

"Can't handle the weather? Let me help you Kirei,"

Akari flapped her wings with such intensity, creating a gust of wind. It pushed Alesia away and rolled across the floor. Alesia shot a thunderbolt to The Host amidst the rolling. It missed as Akari simply flew to the side and landed gracefully to the ground like a ballerina. Exhausted, Alesia laid down on the floor on her back, holding onto her stomach as the pain remained.

"It feels so good to have a body!" Akari proudly spanned her wings. "That desperate orphan had all the tools and wasted on befriending humans. With this body, I can conquer a planet in a year."

Akari skipped forward and put her foot on Alesia's face. She groaned and shivered in pain.

"KARMA!" Akari stomped on Alesia's face again.

Akari pulled her leg away and grabbed Alesia by the throat. She lifted her up and flapped her wings to rise up. Alesia grabbed the hand that was choking and tried to hit as hard as she could. Akari absorbed the hit, the grip remained the same. When the altitude was to her liking, lunged down and choke slammed Alesia to the ground.

"ACk!" Alesia gritted her teeth, her neck and back affected badly by it.

Akari let go of her neck; took a step back to look down on her teacher, who was visibly weakened.

"Maya is just like you, you both settled. Settled for an average man." Akari spread her four wings again. "We were goddesses in Terra Hewina. We already conquered a few planets. We had a lot of Minoris to spare. Yet you, Kirei, ran away from your destiny for a normal life. Little One traded her body because she saw a ghost. Some random Siren and she believed that it was her mother. Weak!"

Amidst the pain. The exhaustion of fighting two Searchers and two Sirens. A small grin formed on Thundalya's face.

Akari glared at Alesia. "What's so funny?"

"At least we didn't destroy the planet." Alesia slowly sat up with her hand on her stomach.

The Host's face turned pure bitter. "I paid the price, I died with the planet Thundalya. I don't have a body anymore!. But I went to the Gate and waited here for my redemption. The Salisulas that you killed helped me find the perfect body. With this, I will rekindle our great Society. I will conquer more planets in the history of our race!"

"Hah… hah…" She panted. "You could have Nyriad's body. Urhghh!" She coughed. "Nobody will even… believe you…"

"I will rekindle our Society and you won't be there to see it!" Akari shouted. "Your end will be the beginning of it!"

Akari moved her hand, the marks turned blue rather than gold. Alesia could feel a pressuring pain as Akari slowly closed her opened hand to a fist.

"Argh!" Alesia closed her eyes, frowning.

With each subsequent squeeze, the pain was two fold. Akari enjoyed hearing and seeing her mentor. Akari lifted her hand as slow as the squeezing, Alesia started to levitate in the air.

"Rgh!!" Alesia shook her head and grit her teeth, breathing heavily through her nostril. "Rghh!"

As the hand slowly closed, Alesia's body began to shake, her head began to tremor. The pain was too much, a tear flowed out at the edge of her eyes.

"RED!!!!!" Alesia screamed.

Akari wanted to squeeze her hand into a fist but she could not. Something prevented her from closing her fist. She looked at her hand and there was nothing abnormal.

"Sorry Blue…" A voice said.

To the shock of Akari, Searcher Red emerged beside her, revealing himself and his ability of invisibility. Decloaking himself from invisibility, his Siren Channels glowing dark red; holding Akari's hand firmly. Preventing Alesia being crushed to death.

Searcher Red twisted her hand, one swift movement, dislocating her left arm.

"AHH!!!" Akari shouted as loud as she could. The glow faded immediately. "ARHH!!!"

Alesia fell down to the ground. Seconds before she landed, Searcher Kharkov appeared from the shadows and caught her to safety. Wearing only his black undershirt, Kharkov remained stable and strong after the big fight.

Akari pulled her arm away and moved a few steps before tripping down to the ground. Searcher Red remained unmoved, looking down to The Host.

"YOU BASTARD! AHH!! YOU BASTARD BETRAYER!!!!!" Her eyes closed as she scowled and cursed, just by the cracked voice, the pain was immense. "MY ARM!!!!"

Red looked to Alesia, who Kharkov aided her to stand up straight.

"The deal is done, Aldari." Red said.

"Humphh!" She disliked what he said but did not deny it.

Akari began to flap her wings, slowly lifting her body and airborne to the holed roof of the temple. Seeing Alesia capable of standing by herself, Kharkov moved away from Alesia and pursued the fleeing Siren. The four wings were not as graceful as before, Akari was like a pigeon with broken wings. Flying but struggling. Searcher Kharkov leaped and caught one of her wings. Using his weight, Kharkov anchored Akari down to the ground. Akari landed on her knees with Kharkov above her, controlling her with using her wings.

She moved sideways to push him away. It was not effective as the Searcher footing was solid as stone. To punish her stubborn movement, Kharkov bent his back and lifted Akari up. Pummelling her with finesse, hitting the ground face first. Kharkov let go of the wings, put his foot on her back then pinning her for good.

"Stay down." Kharkov said and nothing more.

Kharkov looked at Red.

Red looked at Alesia. "We're going to pull her wings apart. Hopefully she will go back to normal."

"Ah!! Mercy!" Akari shouted as she saw Alesia approaching closer. "I beg for mercy!"

Kharkov looked at Akari with eyes squinted with disgust. Thankfully he was patient enough to reject the urge to break her neck. Alesia stood in front of Kharkov, her feet right in front of Akari's face. She spit on her student's face then gave a kick, knocking Akari unconscious.

Alesia pointed to Maya's blue wings. "Ready to close your eyes, Salisulas."

"I'm not sure but I think I know what I need to do." Red took a deep breath and nodded. "Hopefully the book I read is reliable. When I pull, you pull."

"Da!"

Kharkov nodded and pulled his foot away. He bent down and gripped to the pair of blue wings. Red then did the same but he grabbed the golden pair of wings. Alesia moved closer, to have a better view.

"Sirenos nei, Hewina nei. (Oh Sirenos, Oh Hewina.)" Red murmured and his hands glowed. "Ana durah esuk… (Your bloodline ask…)"

"Sizuh! (Undo!)" Red tugged the wings and pulled quickly with all his might.

As the two sets of wings began to separate itself. A flash of light suddenly burst. Kharkov and Red closed their eyes at the right time. Alesia simply moved her hand to shield her eyes.

As she slowly regained her vision, the blurry face no longer dark. Kharkov was looking at her worriedly.

"Hnn!" Her face changed immediately as the pain started to register.

"Stay still Maya." Kharkov held her broken arm together.

"Kharkov…" Maya coughed dryly. "You're alive."

The sound of beatings could be heard, Maya turned to the background and saw Red alive still. Looking at her with his arms crossed together.

"Red…" Maya coughed again and hissed, the full pain finally registered.

Red said nothing, only nodded.

Behind him was Alesia beating Akari non-stop with her fists and feet. The Host was so weak, she could not even squeal or plead for mercy. Two punches to the face, one kick to the body, Akari collapsed, the back of her head bouncing off the ground.

"Are you satisfied, Aldari?" Red asked as he looked.

"As matter of fact I am." Alesia nodded. "Can I kill my student for good or do you want to continue talking?"

"I want to talk. Thank you for the suggestion Aldari."

"Aldari?" Maya said.

Red looked at Maya. "I know this looks confusing but it had to be done."

"What? Ugh…" Her arm became more painful despite Kharkov's best effort. "What do you mean? She's going to kill us just like she was about to kill my friends!"

"Calm down Maya!" Kharkov scolded her. "You're making it worse for yourself."

Maya looked at him with brows closely together.

"I too don't understand Maya…" Kharkov took a deep breath then turned to Red. "You need to tell us what is going on, Red?"
