"Restore the balance of this world my new young ones."
"Split ends! Split ends! When she gets back, I'm going to give her more than just a split end."
In the time between Aqua's adventures on Remnant and her friends watching from the Ever After, Team RWBY and Jaune continued watching from inside Penny's Heart. As usual, they had been privy to everything Penny could see and hear.
Including Yang's nickname that Neo had for her.
The blond brawler was currently pacing around back and forth with on the platform, muttering on what she would do to Neo the next time they saw each other.
Penny in the meantime was trying to calm Yang down. "She only did that particularly to get a rise out of you. And I guess it really works very well and Oscar was right."
"Does my hair really look like a banana top of my head?" Jaune had his hands over his hair, thinking about what both Neo and Oscar had shared about that hairstyle.
Now that he knew what they and everyone else(including Pyrrha) thought, he was seriously considering trying to change it with the power this place that to change it back his original hairstyle before coming to Atlas.
Ruby, Blake, and Weiss were trying to hold down their laughs finding how comical Neo was being. Despite being their enemy, they couldn't help but laugh at how Neo had been acting as she tried to tell them off. Granted what she said was hurtful but the way she had acted only succeeded in making everyone laugh their butts off.
"Hey Yang. Before you have to go do anything crazy. You want to look back at that fight. When Aqua was laughing at Salem even her apprentice was laughing with her too." Ruby said once she had calmed down.
Yang pretty much stopped at that moment upon hearing her little sister's words.
"Quite honestly. Aqua knows a handle herself against Salem better than we had when she tried to invade Atlas." Yang admitted. "I'm going to start giving them credit to both Aqua and Poppy by doing that. By laughing at Salem's antics."
Penny created a portal window showing that fight. Luckily Ruby was able to snap her sister out from frustration. Everyone had been watching the scene unfold again, enjoying how Aqua was able to handle Salem very well and the four little girls that were Ozma and Salem's daughters survived this time which meant a lot of things may be changing now.
Blake was a little bit worried about Aqua's apprentice when she was about to take the blow from Salem's fire attack. She saw something off about Poppy's sword. The blade was still intact and in blaze with fire before Salem's spell had yet to hit her. She barely had any time when the next thing she knew Salem's attack hit them and after that Poppy and the rest of the others behind her were unscathed.
"Hey Penny, are you able to change the angling what had happened with Poppy. I want to see what happened with her sword before it broke." Blake said.
Penny knotted change the viewpoint of the image where Oz and the little girls behind Poppy. The others were curious as to why Blake wanted to see something like that. When the image was playing out slowly on Blake's request. "Hold."
It was then stopped right there before the attack almost made contact. The blade had almost broke, but something had happened. There was a little bit of flash of light and the entire blade's previous design that Poppy was holding had completely changed. Not only the blade has changed. It somehow looked similar to…
"Neo's Keyblade?" Weiss blurted out.
"That's impossible." Blake said, glancing closer. "Neo has had her Keyblade with her the entire time."
"Maybe Poppy got her own?" Jaune suggested. "She's been with Aqua now longer than even Neo."
"Penny, could it be possible just like Neo just spending so much time with a Keyblade wielder that someone could get a Keyblade of their own over time." Blake pointed out, making everybody realize what their friend was going at.
"Yes and no." Penny said which left everybody confused about how she answered it. "It only depends on the individual of the person if they not let that boundary preventing them to know better and awakening the strength that resides within them. As you can see Poppy on the other hand, she was able to know right then and there in that moment and deep down within her heart that she will walk on the path of atonement that gave her so much strength we also had witnessed a Keyblade that was yet to be born."
"Say what!?" Everyone in unison.
"P-Penny... did you just say we almost witnessed the birth of a keyblade." Ruby stammered.
"Affirmative. It seems like Poppy is finally opening her heart and acquiring the power that resides within her now. Which means Poppy as we know now is going to be the first people within that world to have a Keyblade." Penny explained to them.
Poppy is now the first person from that ever had a Keyblade.
Granted, Neo was technically the first person from Remnant to gain a Keyblade, but the one she had was given to her and she wasn't even on Remnant when it happened.
That is the most shocking thing for everyone to know.
Jaune Arc did a quick recap within that fight Aqua had with Salem in the castle, it being the second fight they had. He always was the strategist of the team while being the leader of JNPR and even when going on new journey with Ruby, Rin, and Nora he always analyzed how to defeat each type of Grimm. He noticed something off about Salem when Aqua had done some damage to Salem and having a hard time regenerating with the curse of immortality.
When he recalled of the moment trying to rescue Oscar in that monstrous Grimm whale, when Salem had confronted them while trying to escape…
No matter what they had done to harm Salem she would always regenerate back fast.
But when he viewed Aqua's fight in the past against Salem the second time he saw that each time Aqua used her Keyblade on her she was not only wounding her but Salem seemed to be having a hard time trying to recover. He remembered the previous first fight between the from when Salem was human with her army to rebel against the Brothers. She always comes back up fast…
In that moment, Jaune realized it.
It was almost similar to the fight with Tyrian.
That psychotic scorpion Faunus semblance was able to break through one's Aura followed by easily harming the body.
Every Huntsman and Huntresses relied on their aura and their semblance. They could absorb some of the blows, but when someone with ability to able to break through one's barrier with such ease or let in their guard down too easily they were almost always down for the count.
Just like them, Salem had been too depended on that curse of hers that doesn't let her die during her fight with Aqua.
Thinking about those two fights Salem had put herself in very high disadvantage now. When she was human, she recovered faster but now becoming a humanized Grimm she gained more power in other abilities but also gained a major disadvantage against Aqua and other Keyblade wielders.
Salem had gained great power but that also came a great vulnerability.
A Keyblade or any other elements of light such Ruby's Silver Eyes could hinder Salem because being part Grimm prevented her to be completely healed by the Keyblade harming her despite the curse meant to keep her from dying.
The Keyblade is a tool the fight against the darkness and since Salem became what she is to control the Grimm if the Keyblade cuts her down she will have a hard time regenerating.
"Everyone, look at this!" Jaune called out everyone within Penny's heart.
"What is it, Jaune?" Weiss asked.
"I think Salem gained a very great disadvantage against Aqua. Penny, can you bring out two images from the past of both Aqua and Salem fighting against each other? The one that Salem brought her armies against the Brothers and the other when Aqua faced her again?" Jaune requested.
Everyone in the group was confused except Penny who knew where this is going. Two frames of images showing the two previous battles.
The group end up noticing the fight when Aqua fighting against Salem.
Now they realize.
"Salem can be harmed by the Keyblade!?" They shouted.
It was almost unbelievable, but the proof was staring them in the face.
"If Aqua had landed in Remnant before Atlas we could have had a chance to stop her right there." Yang gaped.
"Would it have been that simple?" Blake asked, trying to sound skeptical.
"Look what she has done since then, Blake. She didn't just fight Salem, she fought a man turned into a demon by the God of Darkness, took down an entire army of people with magic, then she actually fought the Brother and won, even if she had help from Terra and now we can see she can harm Salem even with that stupid curse." Weiss gestured to the images.
"I guess because the Keyblade is a weapon to be used against darkness, it can especially harm Salem because she's like half Grimm." Jaune mused. "It might even break her curse."
"And Aqua only came here because we opened the path." Weiss remarked solemnly. "We're the reason she fell into the EverAfter so she might not have even made it to Remnant if we had found some other way."
That caused them all to frown as if they had found another way, the Heartless might not have appeared and destroyed Remnant. Aqua's arrival was both a blessing and dumb luck since she found a way to not only restore Remnant but is working to keep it safe from the Heartless for good.
The discussion was interrupted when Penny sensed something and they felt it with her.
"Penny?" Ruby glanced at her but she had her eyes closed.
Back in the physical world Penny looked up from the custom-made shack Oscar was resting, seeing the same meteorite.
"What is that?" Terra asked, standing up from the table he was sharing with Neo.
"This place doesn't get meteorites." Neo stood up. "I saw this before…The day Aqua landed here."
Terra glanced at her. "You mean-"
Penny took a deep breath and sighed. "Someone else has arrived here."
Team RWBY and Jaune paused, glancing at each other and then back at Penny as Weiss asked the question. "Any idea who it is?"
Penny shook her. "No…But its presence is similar to Aqua and Terra…And they are not alone."
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Penny gasped, sensing something else that caused Ruby to come over to her. "Penny, what's happening?"
Bang!
She could hear it even though there was no actual noise here aside from her friends.
Bang!
The sound of a hammer brought on burning metal like one would hear in a forge.
Bang!
"Something is happening…Inside the Tree." Penny answered, placing a hand over her chest. "I feel her…I feel her working…"
Bang!

"Her?" Ruby asked.
"The Blacksmith…The other half of Drasil." Penny turned away. "She's working."
"Other half of Drasil?" Yang questioned. "I thought Drasil was the Tree."
"Drasil…was something that wasn't supposed to be part of the Tree, but she came into existence…I think as part of the Tree's reaction to everything that has been happening in the EverAfter and on Remnant." Penny took a deep breath. "I am not sure if she was formed inside the Tree or became part of it…But I know she subverted the rest of the Tree, the other parts of it. The Blacksmith is the part of the Tree that oversees the Ascension here in the EverAfter, the one who helps reforge them into new versions of themselves, giving them a new purpose when they have finished what they were supposed to do."
Jaune paused. "She recreates the Afterans when the Tree absorbs them?"
"Yes." Penny nodded turning to face the group. "You remember them, but did you see any of them recently? Any after what happened in the paper village?"
The five looked at each other, shaking their heads.
"I took Juniper with me and we…pretty much tried go wherever before I heard Oscar's voice in my head. By then, I didn't care what happened with me." Jaune confessed.
"I hid away in a café." Yang sighed.
"I was…in the forests but I didn't see anyone." Blake was next.
"I just made a replica of my old home out of ice." Weiss looked away.
"And Little…Everyone…I was hunting Neo." Ruby was last. "They all disappeared but I didn't care. All I cared about making Neo hurt as much as she was trying to make me hurt."
"That's because, the negativity combined with your powers caused a great imbalance in the EverAfter. The fights you had with Neo and later Aqua, the combined negativity caused the stability of the EverAfter to falter. To save everyone, the Tree absorbed and ascended all the Afterans to save them from the impending degradation that was being caused by all the fighting." Penny explained, shocking the five, especially Team RWBY.
They had almost caused the EverAfter to collapse?
"The EverAfter is not like Remnant…It's a world governed by emotions and feelings of both the people who live here and those that find their way here." Penny continued. "And I fear that in response to the constant battles here, the EverAfter may have birthed new beings to stop it."
"New beings?" Weiss asked. "As in people to fight both Maidens and Keyblade Wielders?"
Penny nodded.
"But you're the new Drasil now. They wouldn't harm you, right?" Yang questioned.
"Drasil was an aspect of the Tree, one of many Avatars to have been born from it. She somehow gained control over it because even though I took her place when she possessed my body, I still have not been able to completely see where she came from or how she was born. I just know she is somehow tied to both the Tree and what has been happening here and on Remnant." Penny shook her head. "All I know is that I think the Tree was creating something in response to all the fights…And it's now finished."
That made everyone just a little bit on edge, especially for Oscar and Penny who were the ones out there in the physical world.
Penny opened her eyes in the real world, and she stood up. Reluctantly leaving Oscar in the wooden shack she had made for him, Penny rushed over the base of the tree, coming upon wooden statues, all them resembling every Afteran that Team RWBY had met in the EverAfter, along with many beings that had they had never seen or heard of.
None of them looked any different.
Except…
Penny paused, seeing one of the cocoons starting to crack.
An Afteran was emerging from the Tree!
She readied herself for whatever might come out, not sure if it would consider her friend or foe.
"Hey," Yang spoke up from inside Penny's Heart. "Isn't that-"
The cocoon burst open, illuminating the surrounding area with a flash of light as the new Afteran rose up, looking taller than its previous form.
"I live again!" The figure proclaimed, raising its hands above its head.
Penny stepped back, feeling very wary now.
Terra and Neo were already moving towards the location where the meteorite was supposedly landing. Both knew the last time anyone had shown up here it had led to trouble…
Well, more like a quarter of trouble.
Terra was still upset that Vanitas had not been destroyed like Aqua had thought and was possibly alive because of something she had done. He knew Aqua would never intentionally resurrect their old enemy, so he decided to give her the benefit of the doubt until he actually knew what happened.
Xehanort had intentionally sewn distrust between, him, Aqua and Ventus and he would not let it happen again.
As for Neo, to her this was just another day on the job.
Well, she was with the Keyblade Wielders now and though she couldn't say she was married to the whole 'save the world' occupation she could at least still fight and use magic now so she'll sort her feelings about this later and just focus on helping Terra with whatever was about to arrive in the EverAfter next.
Personally, she was hoping it would be someone she could vent all the pent up frustration she has had.
Seriously, she felt like she had been regulated to spectator watching Aqua's adventures which she would have had no problem at all except for one thing…
There was no ice cream in the EverAfter!
How could she sit back and enjoy the show with no ice cream?
Seriously, what kind of backwater world was this place if they had no ice cream?
To say nothing of seeing Aqua sealing Salem away in two seconds given how everyone painted as this scary Big Bad back on Remnant which really annoyed her because it made her feel as stupid as the way she painted Little Red and her friends for not realizing that no matter how powerful Salem was she had a weakness. Neo had noticed how Salem didn't seem to be regenerating instantly like RWBY and Jaune did inside Penny's Heart, meaning that anyone with a Keyblade could take her on.
And Roman had always told her that anyone could be taken down.
A Huntsmen could be taken down on the street by thug with a knife or even a kid with a club if things went accordingly.
Neo had not feared Salem in the same manner as the others. If she had been scared she wouldn't have stolen the Lamp of Knowledge back to make Cinder keep her promise.
Though, Neo now wished she had just kept the Lamp and let Cinder get roasted since Salem would have blamed her for bringing Neo on the in the first place.
That would have been sweet.
Still, Aqua had only shown that Roman had been right all along about how anyone could be taken down and it annoyed her just as much as she had been annoyed with Little Red and her friends for just saying: 'Oh, the big bad Queen of the Grimm is immortal and even if we can't kill if we all come together we can scare her away.'
Like that had worked in Atlas.
Neo shook her head as she and Terra came upon the area where the comet had landed, summoning her Keyblade and bringing prepared for a fight. Just as Terra pushed away some brushed, they heard a voice calling out to them.
"Who is there?" A voice, sounding like a boy called out.
Terra froze, recognizing that voice while Neo stepped forward and took a good look at the source of the voice as they stood in a clearing.
'Huh, a cute boy.' Neo mused, seeing it was a boy, probably around Little Red's Age or even around the same age as that Oscar kid she stole the Lamp from.
And where those fairies hovering around his head?
"Ven?!" Terra shouted in pure shock.
