My pov
"If you ranked above the red line ， you will be able to start your second session training， if you rank below it， you can't continue . Here is your ranking." Max points at the screen
I look at the screen . I can't rank last because I beat up samara . She is one of the best fighter in the class . William ranked first and Edward second . Both of them are from erudite and I wander how can erudite fight so well maybe it has to do with the mental preparation .
My name is number 5th， I am not dead last but I don't really know how is that possible because I already win once . Luckily I stay . I follow the list down ， the people who are out of rank are those people who bullied me before .
"Congratulation Celeste ." Kennedy reaches for me ."We are in."
"Congratulation to you too." I clap her back."However we still have to get over with stage 2."
"We can do it."Elizabeth shouts
After the ranking announcement， we start to celebrate . A hand puts on my shoulder . I lift my head and I see that Alan Davis is standing behind me .
"Good job Celeste ." He smiles at me
His smile is awkward but at least he is willing to show some friendly face in front of me . He is handsome and strong . He has big muscles on his arms .
"Thank you mr Davis ." I nod at him
"Willing to come for a game of dare with us ?"alan seems a little shy
"Sure when and where?" I am excited to play with him
I don't know why but I am happy just to be with him
"At nine o'clock ， meet me at the train station." He smiles at me ."I will leave you to you and your friends for now ."
He walks away. William and Elizabeth stare at me .
"What did he said?" William frowns
"Nothing， he was just saying congratulation to me ." I shrug.
"Really? That's all?" Edward smirks at me . He was close enough to hear what he said to me
I don't say anything. Jackson gives me a piece of chocolate cake . He is dauntless born but we are good friends
"Chocolate cake is the most delicious dessert in dauntless . Trust me ." Jackson laughs .
"Thank you." I take it
I scoop a piece and send it into my mouth . It is sweet but not too sweet.
"You are right. It is delicious ."
Alan Davis pov
I stand outside the door and sneak a look inside the cafeteria . Celeste is laughing with her friends. Jackson seems to like her too but I don't really care
I know that she has feeling for me too. She must have .
"Still looking like a coward?" Sam pats me on my back."I know that you like her."
"She is still a initiate . I can't do that to her now ." I shake my head
"I know that you are the one who alternate the ranking. She was going to stay but you don't think that is enough." Sam sighs ."Max knows it but he said nothing."
I know that max must know it but he also knows that I know that he has an affair with Marcus eaton's wife .
"I know that he knows . He also has a secret in my hand . He is not going to do anything about it." I smirk.
It is 8:50， I start to climbing above the pit. I hear footstep behind me . I know that is Celeste because her footstep is always with joy and smooth.
"Hello mr Davis ." She giggles
"Don't call me mr Davis okay? I like to hear you call my name ." I scratch the back of my neck
"However it is not good to call in front of people ." Celeste bites her lips
She looks around. We together walk upstair to the platform.
"Here are no other people , you can call me Alan." I say
"Alan, I will try to call you that." Celeste seems embarrassed .
Everyone arrive on time . Sam , Laurence , Amar , Zeke and Uriah are with us too. We are a huge group to play game of dare .
"The train will be here anytime soon" Amar checks his watch. "Why you bring the stiff ?"
"Amar shut it." I nudge him with my elbow . "She is dauntless ."
"All right mr Davis , there is a little drama with you and her seem likely" Amar sticks his tongue out and makes a face at me .
The train is coming and we start jogging. I grab the handle of the train and haul myself in. Celeste follows me in smoothly.
"You are good at this already." I say.
"Yeah I have done it three time now ." Celeste shrugs.
"Three time?" I raise my eyebrows
Amar stands beside the door . He is her initiation instructor .
"Yeah we did go to the fence to learn the job so that was her second time ." Amar nods at me .
"Okay then."
My pov
I stand there watching the city past us . Amar claps his hand . We turn around and facing him. He has a cup in his hand . He waves at us
"So before everyone do the dare , we have to drink this . After you done your dare , you can point at the next person."Amar smirks . "Who wants to go first."
"Me." I raise my hand
God , why I volunteer everytime to be first? What's wrong with me .
"I dare you to kiss a male that you have a feeling for . It can be the boy or man on this train or in dauntless compound ." Amar throws me the alcohol.
I drink it but it is bitter . I don't want to tell everyone that I like Alan Davis but I can't kiss any other . I wish that he doesn't get angry. I walk toward Alan . I stand on my tip toes and press my lips to his .
He shivers a little , then wraps me into his arms . He kisses me too. Why does he kiss me back? Does that mean he likes me or he just doesn't want to embarrass me .
I let him go and I am already breathless. His finger is brushing my lips .
"Do you mean that you like me?" He asks
"I am sorry Alan." I shake my head
I stand as far as possible from him. I don't want to embarrass him. I like him but I am too coward to acknowledge that.
"So next one Celeste ." Amar says
"I dare John to get his first tattoo." I laugh. "I know that you haven't get any tattoo."
"Okay." John takes the cups and throws at alan Davis . "I dare you to kiss a girl here or in compound who you have a romantic feeling for ."
I don't think that he will choose me . I lower my head . I don't want to see him kissing any other girls . Suddenly a hand lift my chin and presses his lips to me . He chooses me . God , he chooses me .
I wrap my arms around his back. He is too big and my arms are not long enough. His tongue twisted with mine and I almost lost my breath before he let go of me
"Did I prove you something?" Alan brushes my hair away. "Celeste , you have to see your own heart."
"Alan , you are the lieutenant and I am just a stiff ." My eyes are turning red
"I don't give a shit about this ." Alan holds me tight into his arm . "You have to think for yourself."
Alan Davis 's pov
She pushes me away. She is crying. Did I hurt her? I don't want to hurt her . I never want to. The game finishes and we are going to the pit to get tattoo for John. Celeste seems to have better relationship with John, then why does she kisses me .
I still feel the warmth of her lips on mine . Sam walks beside me
"Jealous?" He sighs. "You need to give her time okay?"
"Yeah I know but what hell is John doing with her ." I want to ask them but Sam grabs me
"You are not her boyfriend yet. You can't do that Alan." Sam shakes his head
We get to the tattoo store . Celeste is begging Tori to do the tattoo. Tori let us in. John sits on the chair
"I want the dauntless flame ." John points at the dauntless symbol.
"That's so cool." Celeste gives a big berth at him.
After they are done , I grab Celeste and drag her to a corner
"Are you trying to piss me off?" I grab her shoulder . "If you like him, why not just kiss him."
"Mr Davis , what hell is that? Why are you so jealous of me and John. We are just friends . Let's me go." She is struggle against my grip.
"Not until you tell me ." I am yelling
I never intend to yell at her at anytime but I am losing my nerve .
"Stop yelling at me ! I don't know mr Davis . My mom told me that I may not even stay here ." Celeste is almost crying. "I just don't know ."
"Celeste you will stay trust me ." I grab her hand . "I will make sure that you are staying."
"However I don't want to stay because you ." Celeste pushes me away. "There are more girls that you can choose but why you choose me !"
She pushes me away and runs away. I know that she likes me . I have to talk to Natalia prior . I punch the rock wall and my fist stings but I don't care . I don't care at all.
She is mine.
"I know that there is something wrong with you and her ." Max comes downstair . "She likes you . I heard she confessed to her mom but her mom didn't want her to get involved with you during initiation. She was right."
"Really?" I sigh with relief
