And so, it begins

Colin was soaring through the galaxy using a holographic map. He was on a call to his sister. "You sure you can't come?"

"I wish I could brother but I can't. So many people have been suffering over the past five years. And with the Guardians now aiding the Avengers with their time heist, they need me now more than ever. I know that you can find that stone,"

"For mum and dad," Colin swore. The call ended. As he glanced at his map again, he saw detections of black holes and the presence of nearby ships. Could it be the Nameless Order seeking the Light Stone?

The ships were preparing to make their way through the void of black holes. "All engines ready?" Tobey asked through the coms.

"All ready cap," Erzi reported.

"Ready to go," reported the next ship.

Once the final reported 'yes', Tobey whirled up his ship engines ready. "Hold on tight everyone,"

Peter looked back at their children, all fastened in their seats and holding onto handles from the ceiling. Scylla was fastened too. "Hold on," he mouthed. He glanced worriedly at Sylva; she was prone to air-sickness when flights became aerial rollercoaster rides; she held a bag ready.

"Line up everyone!" Tobey commanded. The other ships lined up behind him. "Three! Two!" he counted down. As they did, all the members of the Nameless Order who journeyed with them grabbed onto their handles and the pilots including Erzi cleared their minds and gripped the steering gears with grips, hard as stone. It was a dangerous obstacle they were about to fly through and it required complete concentration. "One! Now!"

Whoosh! One by one, the ships shot into the field of black holes. Peter felt his stomach coming right up into his throat. Leok nearly puked. Sylva couldn't hold her lunch in. Tobey strained as he heaved with all his might on the handles steering them, left and right, to and fro. "Brace yourselves!" he felt like his head was about to explode.

Erzi, Hornil and their men in the second ship found it hard to hold their lunches in. The fox turned green. "If you puke in my ship, you're cleaning it!" the pilot cried. Hundreds of miles they manoeuvred up and over, under and past the voids of black emptiness. But as they did, the ships were beginning to lose their strength.

"Cap! The ships can't take it much longer!" Hornil screamed.

Sylva after puking for the fifth time managed to brace her head to peer forward through the windshield and see clear cosmic space ahead. "We can do it! We're nearly there!"

Tobey saw it too. "We can make it!". They kept on pushing but suddenly boom!

One of Erzi's engines burst. "Cap! One engine down!" With some lost power, Erzi and Hornell's ship began being sucked towards a black hole.

Tobey saw his closest friend aside from Scylla about to meet his death. "Erzi!"

"Keep on going!" his friend called back. "Complete the mission! You can't save us!"

Boom! Another ship's engine burst and another ship started being sucked towards a hole. "No!"

"Just keep going Cap!" the other members called through.

Tobey and Peter exchanged tense glances. They couldn't clear their friends but they would be sucked to oblivion with their children and Scylla too if they didn't make it through. Leok and Sylwa leak tears looking out to the ship with their friend when they see a flying cosmic man shooting outside.

Colin pressed his hands against Erzi and Hornell's ship and shot more energy out of his feet and he pushed their ship away from the black hole about to envelop them.

Peter saw him outside and recognised him at once. Tobey felt relief flying through his body at seeing their friend saved. The three ships made it through and they finally made it past the deadly obstacle of black holes. Then Colin shot back inside the field and everyone watched out worriedly for their remaining friends.

"No," breathed Scylla. They saw the final ship pushed out of the field of black holes; they had made it safely through. With a bit of help.

Colin floated in front of the ships. And when he glimpsed through the main ship's windshield, he saw the man whose ear he had marred. And he glared.

Peter inhaled deeply. He had hoped he would never see Colin again. He felt his daughter's hand clasped his shoulder. He glanced sideways at his brother, whose eyes held hatred for the cosmic man for the mark he left on him. He nodded. Against his better judgment, his brother allowed the man to board his ship. After that straining voyage past all those black holes, the ships were now floating again in silent space, recovering. Hornil began fixing all the damaged engines on each of the ships with Erzi's aid.

Colin was reluctantly allowed to sit down. "So, this is where you've been all this time Peter Quill," his voice was cold. Sylva snarled at him but her father clasped her shoulder, shaking his head. She held her tongue back but her silver eyes sent a few tingles down Colin's back.

"You will not speak to him with that tone," Tobey warned.

"So, you and your people are the Nameless Order," Colin remarked. "The mysterious people who contacted the Avengers. Since they contacted me to come and find you all, they knew somehow you'd expect me to be coming,"

"And that we were," remarked Scylla.

"Care to explain or show me more about this Light Stone?" he spotted the cylinder device and approached it only for Leok to snatch it from reach. He could see how much they disliked him. "I'm not the enemy here," he tried to soften the gesture with his hands.

"You are to us," Tobey told him bluntly with a sharp tongue.

"Captain America told me to look for you," Colin told Peter.

"I take it you refused," he spoke back; he didn't need an answer back.

"So much has changed since you've disappeared. The universe has been suffering. People have been disappearing from your planet,"

"We are very well aware of that," Scylla said. "And we've been doing our part in guaranteeing its security and safety,"

"My sister and I have travelled the universe for years and we have never heard of you people,"

"It's how we keep ourselves and others safe,"

"How may I ask did your Order came to know about us?" he asked Tobey.

"That's classified,"

"You've been spying on us,"

"We keep tabs on everything that goes on in the universe. We have many enemies. Since Peter joined us, he has helped us keep people safe and now we are trying to undo what Thanos has done,"

"Guess I don't need to tell you guys that their time heist is about to commence,"

"Don't need to. It is the path to victory that was foretold and it will involve us claiming the Light Stone,"

"Which is why I will be escorting with you…once I've told the Avengers and my twin I'm with you guys," he was about to press his wristband when Scylla shot a small electric disc that struck his suit and deactivated his device. "What was that for?"

"You will not be telling the Avengers…or the Guardians about Peter," Tobey ordered with a pointed finger. "You will tell them you have joined us but have found no trace of him,"

"Who cares? It's not like the Guardians want anything to do with him anyway," Peter was blown back by the words. "Not that they've bothered looking for him when he disappeared," Colin's unjust taunt made Tobey pull out his blade and push him into a wall, his laser sabre under his chin.

"Dad no!" Leok cried.

Broken as he was by his words, Peter did not think this was a good move to make. "He's not worth it, Tobes,"

Colin struggled lest he risk the burning weapon against his skin. Tobey's exoskeleton of metal under his skin made him faster and stronger. And resistant to his energy blasts. "You do well to remember whose brother you're talking to," he warned venomously.

"So you are…."

"The last face you'll see if you say another word to him," Tobey interrupted with another death glare; he retracted his weapon. "Now get the hello off my ship and keep your mouth shut about him,"

Colin, a little shocked by his temper, stepped away at once, Tobey's angry eyes still glued to his. Then all of a sudden, Sylwa marched right up to him and kicked him where it hurt between his legs. "Don't you ever speak ill of my father again,"

"I would get out of here if I were you," Leok warned, crossing his arms.

Scylla pulled a lever with her tail and the hatch opened and Colin dropped out back into space. "What a despicable man," she cursed. They looked through the windshield and saw Colin floating in front of them again. He turned his back on them and began typing on his other wristband. Scylla grabbed a jetpack and spacesuit and went out into space. She hovered in front of Colin, crossing her arms. "You keeping an eye on me?"

"After what you did to my best friend's brother…absolutely," she said. "And don't even think of doing anything. We've been dealing with all kinds of beings for years and you are not an exception,"

Colin just glared at her. "Any reason why you guys are keeping Peter hidden?"

"We rescued him. And since he told us about the prophecy of one path to victory we have kept him safe,"

"What do you mean rescued him?"

"Oh, now you care? Says the guy who burnt his ear. Now get that message sent to the Avengers and try anything…anything…."

"I'll be burnt by that crazy captain's sabre,"

Scylla pointed her metal claws at him. "You talk about my best friend that way I'll damage your ear as you did to Peter,"

Colin rolled his eyes. "This is gonna be a nightmare,"

Tobey was fixing some parts of the ship. He stood back up when he saw his son standing before him again. He looked scared. "You okay son?"

"Dad, I've never seen you act like that before,"

Tobey sighed, banging his hand against the wall. "I'm sorry. Seeing your uncle treated like that…" he blinked. "...it brought back some awful memories. I couldn't stop myself,"

Leok went to his face and leaned against his side earning a side hug which earned his tail coil around his dad's waist. He tickled him a little. Tobey chuckled. "You did that all the time when you were little,". His son laughed back. "I'm sorry I scared you like that,"

"You didn't scare me. But I do worry for you," as his father held his head, Leok felt his slips touch his scalp. He closed his eyes, feeling his love.

Peter was sitting down silently, concealing his heartbreak. His daughter came beside him. "Dad, that jerk was just taunting you for no reason," He couldn't answer. She felt distressed. Just when he had finally seemed to let go of his guilt, it had now come back because he had just learnt the remaining Guardians hadn't thought of him for years. And it made him all the more distraught. "I know you might not believe me when I say this but…sometimes when someone suffers and the person who causes it isn't around, they just feel they have to blame someone else to make them feel better. He taunts you because he misses his family and it makes him feel better,"

"What if we can't get the stone? We nearly died in that field of black holes. We could have lost friends. And perhaps…" he dared not to finish.

"But we didn't," she rubbed his hand. "We survived. I hate that Colin is here. We all do,"

"Nevertheless…we will need his aid to help us reach the stone. I promised myself I would keep going. And I have to for the people we've all lost, for Gamora,"

"There's something I can't stop thinking about. I always feel like…with every loss we suffer, every dark memory we have to hold onto, something good always comes out of it," Sylva sighed seeing her dad's blank expression. "I know you think I'm crazy,"

"You're not crazy baby girl," Peter patted her back. "Your wisdom…it means something,"

"Something...my mother told me…before she died," Sylva sniffled wiping her tears away. Her fingers fell to her pendant. "I miss her,"

"I miss my mother too," Peter let her lean against her shoulder. "Every day,"

"Do you ever wonder what life would have been like for you? If she hadn't ... if you wouldn't have been abducted?"

"All the time," his voice was broken. "But I never would have met you, been there for you. And I wouldn't trade it at all,"

Colin flew a little closer to the windshield again and saw the love they held for one another. Peter eyed him and he frowned. He picked up removed and activated shutters, sealing them from his eyesight. He was not welcome on any of the ships. And Scylla was to keep watch on him at all times. He could do nothing but just sit down on one of them until they were ready to move again.

Inside the compound, everyone was suiting up. Steve had just finished when Natasha came into the room. "What is it? What news do you have?

"Colin has found the Nameless Order. And he is journeying with them to retrieve the Light Stone as we speak," Natasha reported.

"Good. Any news on Peter Quill?" he asked.

Natasha shook her head. "Nothing. Think we should tell the Guardians,"

Una came stomping into the room, already suited up. "I doubt Tina would be interested the slightest,". Her friends noticed the strange look in her eyes. "I think Peter is with the Nameless Order,"

"Colin would have told us in his message," Natasha stated.

"Perhaps. But they could have only learnt of Doctor Strange's prophecy through someone who was there when he foresaw this path. My instincts are telling me that Peter does not want to be found for a reason. And we have to find out what it is once this is done,"

In their room, Tina was suiting up with Rocket and Nebula. Orlins would be staying behind with the children to watch over the machine. She had been rather quiet since returning from that time test.

"What did you see?" Nebula asked.

She refused to make eye contact. "Nothing,"

"It ain't nothing," Rocket refused to believe it. "What's got you so twisted up inside?"

She sighed. "I saw us…and our mother when we were younger. Seeing her again was like looking at my reflection," she wiped her eyes.

"And…?" Rocket pushed.

"Nothing else," she lied before storming off immediately to wipe her eyes away quickly. Nebula looked out to her sadly; she pitied her.

"You really sure you want us to manage this machine whilst you guys are time travelling?" Danny asked Jesse.

"There are no better people I trust to do the job," he said. "I know you guys want to help but if there's any chance the machine might malfunction whilst we're claiming the stones, it has to be you two to do it. And when and where we're going is...it's very unpredictable. None of you should get involved with it,"

"You can count on us Jesse Foster," Cheryl promised.

He looked at both of them with heartfelt gratitude. "There are no greater words I can say than 'thank you,' to you both for all your help,"

Danny shrugged. "It was nothing, Jesse Foster,"

"It wasn't nothing. You've both played a role in helping us restore half the universe to life. I know for certain your parents will be so proud. Those of us who are well-gifted with science can do amazing things to help people. And you two can use it to help others in need. Perhaps one day you two will make fine Avengers,"

"I wouldn't go that far," said Cheryl with uncertainty. "Heroism is more Danny's hobby. In my case, it is science and astrophysics much like you,"

"Nevertheless, the choice is yours,"

Una was saying goodbye to Valkyrie. "Take care of New Asgard while I'm gone," she said.

"I will," she saw the tears in Una's eyes. "I know going back will be very heart-breaking…but…you can't change the past,"

She sniffled. And nodded. "I know,"

Peter and Sylva continued watching the Avengers and Guardians on the tab screen recordings sent by Harvie. They eyed the Asgardians. "I would love to meet them one day," the silver girl wished.

"One day when this is all over you should," her father accepted. "They're some of the kindest people I've ever met,"

Tobey and Leok came in. "You okay?" the older brother asked.

"I'm good," he assured. He showed the recording of everyone suiting up. "They're about to jump back in time,"

"Good. Then let us hope we can regain that stone and come to them as soon as possible. The stones must be returned to their proper timelines as soon as possible. Or it will be the end of all time as we know it," he remembered their earlier confrontation with Colin. "Bro, about me warning Colin…."

"It's okay bro. And you're right. I've been hiding with you guys for good reasons and the last thing I wanna do is drag anyone else into our fight against the science freak who has done us all wrong,"

"I only did so because you still hadn't given us an answer to come to Earth or not,"

Peter appreciated his respect for his feelings. "I think I'll be able to give a proper answer once we get the stone. I know you might not wanna answer this Tobes…but do you think you and Scylla want to try and talk to Rocket?"

Tobes snaked his hair just thinking about the racoon. How he was glad Scylla wasn't in here too. "I'm not sure for certain. I was hoping to avoid that question. In all honesty, I don't think I could. I can't forgive him for what he did to you. He abandoned me and Scylla for years. And neither he nor Tina were there for you were captured…all that pain you had to endure," his voice broke. To him, Peter had been abandoned, left to suffer such agonising pain.

Peter closed his eyes. Before his other loved ones came into life, his time in captivity with Sylva had pushed him to pray for a chance that despite their resentment towards him for his mistakes, the loved ones who had rejected him at least cared about him enough to try and find him. But they never did. "It was my choice not to give in," h

"We can't give into our dark thoughts," Leok spoke up. "We must keep pushing forward. As we all know, we'll be facing a number of other challenges to receive the Light Stone. We can't fail. We only succeed if we focus on what is important now, what we have now. And right that's bringing back half the Universe,"

"Then let's do so," his uncle said. Tobey and Sylva nodded as well. The hatch opened and Scylla came inside. "Colin has informed the Avengers. But nothing about you Pete,"

"Good," he answered.

"Cap!" Erzi called through the com. "Engines are all fixed!"

Hornil's voice came next. "Are we ready to proceed?"

"Yes!" Tobey sat in his seat again, his loved ones sat back in their seats. The ships prepared to take off again to continue their journey to the Light Stone. Colin hovered beside them. And then whoosh! The quest through space continued.

Clint was helping the wolves into their suits. "I really don't see why you guys have to come with me,"

"We owe you Clint Barton," Hiroto reminded. "And if helping you get your family back is the most heartfelt thing we can do then so be it,"

The archer smiled. "Thank you,"

"Leave your thanks when we get those stones," Higa told him.

It was sunrise. The Avengers, Guardians and the wolf siblings were walking towards the machine. The time had came at last.

Steve gave a heartfelt speech. "Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends. We lost family. We lost a part of ourselves. Today we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams. You know your missions. Get the stones. Get them back. One round-trip each. No mistakes, no do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. But that doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives," They failed the Universe once; they would not fail again.

Tony felt the same determination. "We're gonna win,"

Steve nodded back. "Whatever it takes,"

"Good luck everyone," George bid. He handed a few vials of Pym Particles to each member. "And whatever happens, keep each other safe and use those particles carefully,".

"Get it running kids," Tony ordered the siblings at the counsel.

"We're not kids!" whined Cheryl.

"You're whining like one," he teased back merrily in song to her irritation. Danny sniggered and she growled lowly.

Tina gave a small ship to Natasha and Clint. "Bring it back in one piece,"

"We'll try," Clint said.

Rocket crossed his arms. "As promises go, that was pretty lame,"

"Just come back in one piece," Tina bid good luck to everyone.

"Whatever happens, we get those stones," Una spoke with determination. "And we bring everyone back,"

"Good luck everyone!" Orlins called; he would be staying behind with Danny and Cheryl too. He nodded at his teammates expressing his utmost belief.

The machine churned up with energy. "Activate masks!" commanded Danny. The group activated their suits and their helmets were fastened over their faces. They turned to the children, holding up thumbs. "Preparing portal!" He pressed some more portals and whoosh! The portal activated and in went Tony, Steve, Natasha, Clint, Una, Jesse, Tina, Scott, George, Rocket, Hulk, Rhodey, Nebula, Hiroto and Higa through the voids of time.

In a temple of pure white stone, a dragon-like alien was meditating, balancing on his tail. He was red with mighty wings with white markings and spikes. He opened his eyes as they glowed white. "And so it begins,"

And that's the next chapter done. Please could you all send requests for which OC members you would all like for me to send over to help collect the stones? If you could it would be most helpful. I apologise if I can't use every OC character. What did you all think of Colin meeting Peter again and the Nameless Order? And the tension? It was inevitable. In the case of the Atlantis series I want to write next year, it is based off the BBC Series Atlantis which only had two seasons. Please can you send ideas for that new series if you have ever heard of it. I will be working on Wish next year. And I'll be publishing an alternate Avatar chapter soon without fail and a How to Unite Two World's chapter too, without fail. Other than that, thank you all so much for your support and ideas. Hope to see you all soon. And hoping you're all having a wonderful Christmas Holiday so far.
