Light paced back and forth in the large bedroom at the foot of a king sized, four post mahogany bed. "What has gotten into her!?" L rubbed the ridge of his lower lip as Light paced to and fro in front of him. Light quickly turned and rubbed his face with both of his hands. "We were fine before she met him!"

L's dark eyes watched the figures of Sayu and Beyond creep outside towards the car he'd come in, giggling while shushing each other. "Were you?" The brunette glared at his partner coldly. "I'm just saying. It takes more than a couple of hours and a little weed to push a girl like Sayu over the edge. I doubt he had anything to do with it." Light opened his mouth to protest only to hang it open slightly as the sound of an engine roared to life followed by squealing tires. "If anything, all he did was show her she doesn't need approval to exist."

Light scrambled to the window L was staring out of, he slammed his hands on the window frame as a black BMW tore out of the driveway. He sprinted down the hall and whipped Sayu's room door open, seeing two phones left on Sayu's bed. Light lifted his sister's phone displaying a lock image of her and Beyond flipping the camera off. Gritting his teeth and screaming while tossing the phone back onto the bed, "Fuck!" Heavy footfalls approached their room as the door flung open as Light seethed towards L. "You saw that happening and didn't say anything!? L!? He's reckless and dangerous!"

L dropped his owl-like stare away from Light while glancing back out the window. "He's calculated. What appears to be reckless has been split second calculated and simulated in his mind, he dodged you so easily earlier because he already calculated the most likely responses you'd give. You think I'm smart? You clearly haven't spent any time getting to know him. He's still a Lawliet at the end of the day."

"You need to reign him in."

"I cannot control Beyond any better than you can Sayu. Attempting to do so will only lead to frustration. Let her go. Trust me, I've been right where you are. The harder you pull against them, the more they just learn to resent you. Why do you think Beyond didn't come home until after our parents died?"

Sayu squealed in delight as the car drifted around corners of the road and sent clouds of soft powdered snow up into the air. Beyond smirked at the excited brunette. "So where to? What does Miss Impulse want to do?"

Sayu chuckled lightly as she leaned her head back on the seat. "I hadn't thought this far ahead. Normally I'd just be sulking in my room, maybe cry a bit and go apologize."

The raven scoffed as they pulled up to an intersection with a traffic light. "Apologies are for people who are in the wrong. Fuck him. He's a control freak, for the first year of their marriage after he met me, L wasn't even allowed to talk to me, because I got high at their reception, I didn't even do anything bad."

The brunette smiled whimsically as her bangs fell over her eyes as snow started to gently fall from the sky. "I still probably should apologize. But, yeah. Fuck him."

A devious smirk crossed Beyond's lips. "So what now, you wanna tuck tail and run back, or do you want to make him sweat? Bearing in mind he's a douchebag, I can't stress that enough."

Sayu sat forward in the seat as the light turned green and whined out. "No, I don't want to go back! I want to have fun!"

Beyond squeezed her knee while biting his lip. "There's my girl! Let's go get fucked up!" Sayu lifted her arms and cheered.

The car rolled up into a parking lot full of cars and Beyond killed the engine while reaching into the glovebox. "Alright. Alright. I'm not about to fuck you up more than you want. So, how far do you want to drift into wonderland, Alice?"

Sayu drifted her eyes towards the bland building then back to the raven and smirked. "If I don't see a Cheshire Cat, I'll assume tonight to be a waste."

Beyond's smirk sharpened as the glove box fell open. "You asked for it." He grabbed a small vial and jerked his head in the direction of the building. "If at any point you get uncomfortable, let me know." She nodded while leaning forwards with her hand on the handle before having her chin caught by his fingertips. "I mean it. We're all just one bad trip from death or jail."

She smirked and huffed a small laugh through her nose. "Alright. You're gonna save me if I do?"

The raven shook his head while smirking. "No, but I'll go down with you." Sayu watched with curiosity as he opened the vial and pulled a singular large capsule from it and twisted it open. "I'm only going to ask you one more time…" He poured the powder on his tongue as Sayu leaned in with wide eyes.

"What was that!? I want some!" Beyond winked at her before grabbing her by the back of the neck and kissing her deeply. Sayu closed her eyes and returned the action. The raven chuckled and poked her nose before getting out of the car. "But! Wait!" She scrambled out of the car and jogged to catch up to Beyond who'd started towards the building. As her door shut the car beeped as it locked. "You never said what that was?"

Beyond smiled at her and opened the door while holding his finger up to his lips. She stepped into a dark room lit entirely by neon lights that flashed as loud music pulsed through speakers throughout the warehouse. Gasping slightly, Sayu stepped further into the loud room while gasping out a singular word. "Whoa."

Beyond approached the man tending a makeshift bar, leaning in and speaking into his ear. The man nodded while tossing some liquids in a shaker before pouring a couple shots out. Beyond smirked and patted his shoulder before dropping something into his pocket. The bartender glanced into his pocket and smiled brightly and handed the raven the whole shaker and tossed the small pill into his mouth. Beyond lit a cigarette and set a shot down in front of Sayu at the table she'd selected. She watched the bartender for a moment before flicking her eyes back towards Beyond, noticing a distinct trailing of her vision. "What was that?"

Beyond smiled at her as he exhaled a plume of smoke out of his nose. "One drug for another. And to answer your question…" Beyond took the shot of alcohol and stared at her expectantly, causing Sayu to do the same, she shuddered at the bitter taste of the alcohol that had a strong lime flavor. "Molly."

Sayu furrowed her brow as the edges of her vision seemed to flicker. "Molly?"

Beyond poured himself a second shot. "You are in the company of the biggest Molly dealer in southern Florida. Which, yes, is impressive before you ask." She tilted her head as she leaned in a little closer. His scarlet gaze lifted to her wavering stare. "You'd know it as MDMA. Which is exactly what you took, just well, a purer form."

Sayu ran her fingers through her hair as she showed some signs of distress. "And you just gave it to me like that." Her fingers dug into her own hair. "My hair is really soft…"

Beyond smirked at her and placed his hand on her hand that was still on the table. "You have a micro dose at best, maybe a half dose. I wasn't about to give you a full dose, not your first time around, anyway." He laughed a little manically as he watched her eyes drift back over to him.

He grinned at her as she smiled lazily before speaking. "Okay. As long as you promise to dose me like that every time." She winked at him causing his smirk to spread to a devious smile.

"You bet." He carelessly winked at her as she poured herself another shot. Glancing at his watch he shifted his eyes around the room. "You wanna dance?"

She knocked the second shot back and smiled widely. "What are we waiting for?"

She grabbed Beyond's hand and dragged him towards the large crowd. He chuckled as he was being pulled from the table, but he was sure to grab the shaker as he was dragged from the table. He let out a sharp whistle towards the bartender causing him to look up, and threw the silver canister towards him with one arm. The young man caught it and spun it around his body before spinning it up the palm of his hand causing a loud applause.

Sayu stopped in the middle of a crowd and flung her arms around Beyond's neck and cackled loudly. "I've never done anything like this!" Her eyes immediately drifted to a young woman who had a bunch of glow sticks around her body. "Wow! You're so pretty!"

The young woman smiled and bowed to Sayu before giving Beyond a knowing look. She took a couple of her glow sticks off and clipped them around Sayu's neck while yelling over the music "You are too! Come dance with me!" Sayu squealed happily and immediately grabbed hands with the young woman and kept a firm grip on Beyond's hand.

Another group of people cheered when they all approached. "Ah shit! Key West!? The hell are you doing here?"

Beyond chuckled as Sayu wrapped her arms around his waist. "Oh you know. Getting pretty girls high."

Another man stepped forward, he wore a brightly colored shirt but kept simple round rose colored glasses perched on the edge of his nose and shook Beyond's hand as Sayu rested her chin on his chest. "You think I'm pretty?"

Smirking at the brunette, he shook his head. "No, these girls are pretty. You're fucking gorgeous." He reached into his pocket and handed the others a small baggie filled with colorful tablets, causing them to all cheer.

Sayu groaned as she rolled over in bed before snapping her eyes open at the unfamiliar settings. She darted her eyes around a luxurious hotel room and then down to herself pulling the covers fully over herself. 'I'm naked!' A gruff groan was heard next to her.

"Quit flipping around. You're fine."

Sayu ripped the covers off her head to see a smirking Beyond. "Did we… you know…"

Beyond snorted before laughing loudly. "No. Come on, I have standards. I wasn't nearly high enough for all that. Relax." He rolled over to his side and touched her cheekbone with the pad of his thumb. "You had a bad come down, you were sweating so you took your clothes off. Then you yelled at me for having clothes on. So, obviously there was only one solution. I took mine off."

"I don't remember much… I remember having a lot of fun though, are you sure we didn't?"

Sighing at her, Beyond ruffled her hair. "Yeah. That was not my first rodeo and the dose I had was smaller than my usual. I think I'd remember getting the opportunity to sleep with a goddess."

Sayu's face flushed bright red immediately. "Don't say stuff like that!" She buried her face in the blankets causing the raven to laugh again. She peaked her eyes out of the blanket to look at Beyond, still with a faint blush on her cheeks. Her eyes traced from his deep crimson eyes down to his jaw that had the barest of visible stubble down his neck where they settled on an intricate design tattooed to the side of his neck. "I didn't realize you had a neck tattoo. What does it mean?"

Beyond subconsciously set his hand over the right side of his neck. "Oh. Some wild chick tattooed it on me when I passed out in Ireland last year when I came out this way for the holidays. I guess it's some protective symbol. Celtic trinity knot or some shit. It's well done, so it doesn't bother me. Never did see or hear from her again."

Sayu's eyes fell onto his arm and noticed it too had tattoos speckled along it. "How many do you have?"

Shrugging nonchalantly, "I haven't counted. Mostly on my arms and torso, I like to make trades when people don't have enough money to pay. It's a little unsettling how many tattoo artists are on Molly. But, usually the ticket item is weed."

Nodding quietly, Sayu glanced her eyes around the room once again. "How'd we get here?"

"Well, after you made out with the girl who gave you the glow sticks, the cops busted the party up and we made a great escape." He smirked at her surprised expression. "Being a responsible piece of shit, instead of driving while on something, we ran to the closest hotel. You then told the clerk that you thought they had pretty eyes and told me you didn't want to deal with Light. So, we checked in for the night. Once you started coming down, you started sweating so you tore your clothes off and stood in front of an open window. Then yelled at me for still having clothing on. And… here we are."

Sayu's eyes widened as Beyond recounted the night before. "I am so sorry."

"Don't be. I'm the one who got the show. You literally have nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone reacts to the come down differently."

Her golden eyes fluttered momentarily before smiling sheepishly. "So. We didn't sleep together?" Beyond shook his head. "Do you want to?" The raven froze for a moment before nodding enthusiastically. "Oh!" Sayu giggled and dropped her head into the mattress.

Raising his eyebrows, Beyond chuckled while scratching his chin. "Oh, was that a test? Did I fail?" Sayu laughed louder into the mattress. "I just don't see a reason to play hard to get when I can just have what I want, or, alternatively be rejected and stop thinking about it."

Sayu took a deep breath as she raised her face from the sheets. "And what is it that you want?"

Beyond rubbed his chin, where he'd previously scratched, in thought. "To live freely, die freer, and piss your brother off at nearly every turn."

Sayu nodded contemplatively at his answer. "That does sound nice."

"What's stopping you from it? Afraid of what daddy Light will say? Who gives a shit? What's worth protecting there?" Sayu thought for a moment before Beyond continued. "And don't give me that, 'but they're family', bullshit. That shit is for the desperate and lonely, there's a world of people out there who'd accept you, some won't, their loss." Beyond gently grazed his thumb over her chin while smirking slightly. "Now, admittedly I've known you for about a day, and a portion of it has been robbed of me from drug induced fugue. But, I think you're great."

Sayu blushed slightly. "Are you just saying that to get laid?"

"Is it working?" Letting out a loud huff of laughter, Sayu nodded quickly. Beyond chuckled. "Real talk, I do think you're insanely hot and you're a lot of fun to hang out with. Would definitely do it again."

Golden eyes flicked up to meet an embered stare as she bit her bottom lip. "Do you want to extend the hotel stay, get high and fuck all day?"

Beyond placed his hand over his chest. "Be still my heart, I found my soulmate." Sayu winked as she disappeared under the sheets.
