Welcome to Hell Camp
The moment those few words left Aizawa's mouth panic flooded the students' minds. Though they didn't have too much two to think about their next move, they acted quickly and translated their actions into two groups that they polar things.
The first group decided it would be in their best interest to follow Shinso's and Izuku's lead, though they were few in numbers. The first section of this group consisted of Shoto, Momo, Ochako, Tenya, and Jiro of class 1-A though the last one was in this group because Momo dragged the earphone jack girl against her wishes. The other section consisted of Tetsutetsu, Kamakiri, Kendo, Ibara, Awase, and Kinoko, but Kinoko and Awase were dragged along like Jiro; the former being grabbed by Kendo's large fist while the latter was tied by Ibara's vines.
The other group decided to take the hard choice as Sero gulped and pulled at his collar, "Look at those jokers, jumping off the cliff for no reason." He then looked at the buses, "How about we go back to the bus since it seems that it's going to be a long way to the camp?"
Kaibara was sweating heavily, "Yeah, let's go back to the bus…" he then saw Pixiebob moving making him yell, "Every man for himself. Let's go to the bus before they throw us over the cliff."
The students reacted quickly and began to run toward salvation, but the blond-haired heroine was faster than them. Pixiebob jumped in front of them and licked her lips, "Where do you think you're going? You're supposed to be…" the woman slammed her hands on the ground, "…going that way!" the land then began to shift making a huge landslide that took the students and threw them off the cliff to join the rest of their friends.
A few moments ago, Izuku and Shinso landed on the ground. Shinso looked at the top of the cliff, "I wonder if they'll choose the easy way down or the hard way down."
Izuku rubbed his head, "Knowing our classmates, they'll probably choose to go down the hard way." Shinso stared at him for a bit before nodding in agreement.
"Fair enough, but I'm a couple of them will decide to go down…" Shinso didn't finish his statement as he saw a couple of students jump over the cliff and land in front of him.
Shoto frowned, "I should have known Aizawa-sensei would pull something like this."
Momo nodded, "Yeah, to think we'll have to make all the way to the cabin and we have only 3 hours to reach it or we'll be deprived of lunch, so unfair!"
Kendo sighed, "Well, hero business is never fair, so I suppose this is part of it." She let go of Kinoko and the brown-haired girl fell to the ground with a thud, "But we were saved from going down…"
All the students at the bottom of the cliff a yell of fear followed by a huge wave of land, "…the hard way." Kendo finished with a sweat drop as she saw her classmates fly through the air.
Kamakiri who was sitting on a tree branch, "Boy, their landing is going to suck!" he snickered a little, "I bet they're going to feel that tomorrow when they wake up."
Awase saw the scene in front of him and sighed in relief, "I can't thank you enough for saving me from this fate, Shiozaki-chan." The girl only smiled as she spread her vines across the ground to cushion their classmates' fall from the sky making sure to dull her thorns.
It took a couple of moments, but sure enough, students began to hit the dulled vines and cry out in pain from the impact. Kaminari looked at the edge of the cliff, "Damn you, Aizawa-sensei, can't you for once give us a normal day without any of your logical deception bullshit?"
A voice screamed from the sky, "Kendo, please grab me. I'm about to hit the ground." It was none other than Monoma. Kendo looked at him with a raised eyebrow but didn't move from her spot.
Monoma was then caught by someone, "I knew that you would save me, Kendo. You were always…" he looked and saw Ochako giving him a bored look, "Oh hi, Uraraka. Nice seeing…"
The girl dropped him onto the ground, "You're welcome, blondie. Just make sure you need more help." She then walked away, but Monoma followed her quickly.
Izuku saw something coming his way. It was Setsuna who had a cheeky grin. Izuku knew it was her way of saying 'grab me', so the boy obliged and jumped to grab her. It took a couple of seconds, but the boy grabbed the girl and landed on the ground.
"I guess this means you owe me a solid, so I'm going to…" the boy was going to laugh but he saw Setsuna crossing her arms and looking away, "What's wrong? Why are you angry?"
The girl pouted at him before pulling his cheeks, "Why didn't you pull me along with you? I almost died over here." She looked away, "I thought you were my best friend, but it turns out you left me to die." She finished her speech with a huge grin on her face.
"I grabbed your hand when I ran toward the cliff, but you're the one who swatted it away," Izuku deadpanned, "Plus, you're one of the strongest I know, so you're fine."
Setsuna mock-gasped, "I'll have you know that I'm a fragile maiden who needs her knight in shining armor to keep saving her." She then jumped from his arms, "Plus, who'll be there to keep giving praises in case something bad happened to me?"
She disconnected her upper body and hugged him from behind, "Besides, we both know that you can't possibly live without me?"
Izuku chuckled a little, "Alright, you win this round. Going on forward, I'll always save you."
Setsuna giggled, "Well starting from now, whenever I feel in danger, I'm going to whistle to my knight in green shining armor to come and save my life." She pressed her cheek against Izuku and began to rub her face against him making the green-haired boy chuckle.
When the girl noticed that Izuku didn't react the way she wanted him to, she pouted again.
Izuku looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "How come you're pouting right now?" he put his face near hers, "Come on, you look more beautiful when you're smiling."
A small blush made its way to the girl's cheeks as she huffed, "Well, I wanted to make you blush, but it didn't work." She rubbed her shoulder, "It isn't fun this way. I'm the one who's supposed to make you blush, not the other way around." She turned to see Izuku smiling.
He then said, "Well, I took an online course on how to flirt with others and resist teasing comments, so now I'm a master of flirting or something like that." He blushed a little, "The simulation wasn't clear about this thing, but I know that I won't be affected by your teasing anymore." He crossed his arms, "So go ahead, do your worst, I won't flatter."
Setsuna smirked at the presented challenge, "So you took this so my teasing won't work on you anymore, but this means you're going to tease me back, right?" she walked closely to him putting her face in his, "but who knows at some point, if you kept flirting, I might lose control and lunge myself at you. I might even do so many unspeakable things, so are you ready for that?"
Her reply was a thud on the ground with steam coming from Izuku's head as his eyes were swirling.
Setsuna laughed before scoffing a little, "A simulation to help him against my teasing…" She then flicked her hair, "As if that is going to stop me Setsuna Tokage from getting what I want." She then held the boy and began to haul him to the rest of the students.
Kamakiri jumped down from the branch he was sitting on with a sweat-drop, "All it takes is for a girl to flirt with him, and he's down for the count." The boy shook his head in shame, "For shame, to go from defeating Stain to having a girl make you foam at the mouth. For shame."
He then walked to the rest of the students who were standing around and observing their surroundings to make sure the teachers didn't have anything else planned for them.
Mina groaned, "Can't Aizawa-sensei just give us one day without one of those damn logical ruses?"
Yanagi looked at her, "I see his method although a bit unorthodox to be very fruitful. It teaches the soul to never rest to anything that may pass in front of it."
Mina seemed to have a mind aneurysm until Yui came and explained, "She means to say that although his methods are a little unheard of, it teaches us to be alert at all times since you don't what might happen in front of you."
Mina nodded, but Toru interjected, "Please, one logical ruse is good enough, but Aizawa-sensei produces logical ruses as long as he can breathe." The girl slumped to the ground with a depressed expression on her visible face, "It became boring after the first four logical ruses."
Manga retorted, "It's still better than what Vlad-sensei always does to us." The entirety of class 1-B groaned, "Every single time we think we can start a hero class, he puts us through an intense workout routine making us feel like we're in the military. It's tiring."
Tsuyu bluntly commented, "I highly doubt it's as bad as you're making out to be." Every member of class 1-B deadpanned at her making her add, "Can it?"
Shoda shyly replied, "Well, do you remember the day we all went to swim at the pool in the school?" the students of class 1-A nodded, "Well, back then something happened after your teacher forced all to leave, Vlad-sensei came wearing his swimming trunks…"
The entirety of class 1-B shuddered as Tsuburaba carried on, "He forced us to do swimming exercises." The boy rubbed his shoulders, "I wish I never accepted Kaminair's invite to see the girls in their bikinis. First, Midoriya asked the others to join, and then Vlad-sensei made us exercise on a day we were supposed to be relaxing. It was a true nightmare."
Izuku then replied, "I knew something was odd when you both asked me for training." He looked at Kendo, "Good thing, I talked with you about this."
Kendo didn't reply, but walked toward Tsuburaba, "We'll have a serious talk about this." she put her mouth close to his ear, "A very serious and painful talk about other people's privacy."
She patted the boy on the back who fell to the ground with a horrified face, 'This is all Kaminair's fault.' He looked at the boy who was sweating profusely as Jiro had her earphone jack in his face.
Bondo coughed into his fist, "I suppose we should start moving toward the camp because we won't get there if we continue standing here doing nothing." Everyone nodded and began their trek toward the cabin in the middle of nowhere.
Suddenly, Pixiebob popped over the fence of the cliff, "Have fun in the forest of beasts, and try to stay as calm as possible. Your journey to the camp won't be as easy as you think it is."
Everyone wondered what the crazy blond woman was talking about, though their attention was caught when she called the forest 'The Forest of Beasts' and told them their trip to the cabin wouldn't be easy.
Mineta asked, "Hey, guys." Momo looked at him, "Do you have any idea what she means by 'The forest of beasts'?" The boy began to bite his nails, "I don't feel very comfortable.
The girl sighed, "I'm sure she said that just to scare us a little, so try to worry less."
"If what you're saying is true," Ojiro exclaimed pointing at something, "What the hell is that?"
Momo looked and saw a monstrous beast standing right in front of them. Shoji groaned, "Damn it. It's those dirt monsters again." Momo remembered Shoji's and Bondo's final exam, "I can't believe I have to deal with them once again. She can keep making them without rest."
Koda then said, "Look, I have a way to stop this." Koda walked up to the rock monsters, "Clam down." the boy said as he tried to calm the beast down, "We're all friends here, so there's no need for you to be angry. We aren't going to hurt you."
The boy looked at the beast with a hopeful look, but that hope was quickly shattered to pieces when the beast lifted its hand and prepared to attack him making Koda close his eyes.
The boy waited for the inevitable pain, but he only heard a whizzing sound and felt small pieces of rock hit his body. The boy slowly opened his eyes and saw the beast's body crumble into dust.
Shoji yelled, "Koda, get away from there." the rock-headed boy backed up as more dirt monsters appeared in front of him, "Everyone, attack them without worry. Those things are only made from dirt and stone; in other words, they aren't alive."
The students readied themselves as Izuku charged OFA up to 25%, "Alright, I guess we will have to fight our way then," he then lifted his hand and sent out 5 finger flicks destroying a couple of monsters that stood in his way, "X5 Delaware Smash"
Shoto wasn't far behind as he unleashed his fire onto the dirt monsters only to be followed by a huge barrage of ice attacks on the stone beasts. "I guess the only way to the camp is to fight our way there." all the other students nodded.
Setsuna then said, "I'll be your eyes in the sky." The upper part of her head began to float, but Shoji yelled, "Be careful. She has winged ones too. She might attack you from the air."
Setsuna smiled and gave the boy a thumbs-up before continuing her climb into midair. Like, Shoji said happened, there were a couple of winged stone beasts waiting for them, but the girl had a plan. She sent a couple of pieces of her body to tie them around the flying beasts' wing sending them crashing to the ground. "Everyone, move east. I see more monsters coming from the west."
The students nodded, but Tokage added, "Damn it. She made more of those things from the West too. We're completely surrounded by those rock things."
Kamakiri then said, "Fuck this shit. I'm going to attack." He made two blades and charged forward till he saw two monsters. He decided to try to do something…
The boy decided it was about high time he tried to use a wind blade attack. Using all of his strength, the boy brought down his blade and sent a thing but visible distortion in the air.
Kamakiri smiled given that his first attempt at a wind blade had succeeded, but his smile fell when the wind blade disappeared before hitting his target, 'Note to self: put more strength into it.'
The bug boy jumped away as a beast slammed his hand where the boy was standing. Kamakiri then decapitated the thing quickly, "Man, I wanted to try something awesome, but it seems I need more training, so I have to settle for this for now. I'll destroy you beasts."
Ibara from behind him sent vines from all angles and directions wrapping them around the rock golems before shattering them into bits and pieces, "Be gone, you foul beasts."
Awase came from behind her and fused a couple of those beasts' legs into the ground with Manga yelling, "BOOM, BOOM, BOOM" A couple of huge BOOM words emerged from nowhere and crashed the rock beasts into nothing.
Shoji was teaming up with Bondo to destroy the rock monsters as they did in the final exam.
Momo then opened her school vest and made a cannon destroying one of the beasts, "Class 1-A, charge ahead. Destroy those things so we can make it to camp." Class 1-A cheered as they charged full speed ahead with Momo leading them as she made a grenade launcher.
Kendo looked at her, "What the fuck? She had a grenade launcher!" she asked with a dumbfounded expression, "Where the heck did she learn to make a grenade launcher?"
Kendo shook her head, "Never mind that." She enlarged her fist grabbing a monster, "Let's move forward and destroy these things." She then crashed the beast, "Class 1-B, attack them."
Kendo then ran toward the beasts and punched one of them shattering it into bits and pieces.
Izuku jumped from behind her, "Manchester Smash: Air Style" The boy sent a huge gust of wind that destroyed a couple of monsters in its way. The boy then jumped onto another beast and punched it in the head blowing it in many pieces.
He looked behind him only to see many more monsters behind him only for Tetsu and Kirishima to smash into them and tear them apart while yelling together, "This is so manly. we're going to totally wreck this thing."
Izuku sweat-dropped but then dodged to the side and tried using Blackwhip to tie it around a monster's neck to decapitate it, but he lost his control at the last moment causing him to slip and fall.
Setsuna grabbed him and flew him away as Shoda used a stone to send it through the beast's head.
Setsuna whined, "Izuchan, I know you want to use your new power but be careful." The boy chuckled a little with a small blush, "Seriously be careful. This thing can harm you."
Izuku nodded his head before he jumped back into the fight and blasted one of the beasts into smithereens, "Don't worry, Setchan. I'm going to be more careful. I won't use my powers recklessly." The boy blasted another rock beast into nothing.
Back at the top of the cliff, Pixiebob was having the time of her life, "This is so much fun. I'm having so much fun right now." The blond woman had a crazy look on her face, "They are all so strong."
Aizawa looked at the woman and asked Mandalay, "Are you sure that she's clinically sane?"
Mandalay laughed a little but stopped when she saw Aizawa's serious look, "Oh, you're talking for real." She looked at Pixiebob, "Yeah, she's fine. She just gets excited."
The brown-haired heroine scratched her head, "I still don't get it. Why did you want them to start from here? Wouldn't it have been better if you took them to the camo and started training right away?" She wasn't questioning the man's methods, but still…
"First off, I want them to break a sweat," Aizawa started, "Second, I want them to get a feel for what they're going to do going forward during the coming days. And most importantly, the challenges of being a hero are getting more serious as we speak. New threats are rising. New dangers pop out of the woodwork every second we look away, but I want this camp to push the students and their quirks to their max." he looked at Mandalay, "You hear me? I want them pushed beyond their limits. I want these students to be ready when they take their provisional license exam." The woman smiled and gave him a thumbs-up.
The woman then rubbed her chin, "Okay, but how did you convince Vlad to go with your scheme?"
Vlad walked to them, "Well, at first, I was against it, but we then made a bet on whose student would make it to the camp first, so I couldn't refuse," the man puffed his chest in pride, "because my students will show their superior strength today."
Aizawa smirked under his scarf. He knew once he riled up Vlad using his competitive nature, the man would follow him like a snake being hypnotized by a snake tamer using a flute.
Mandalay laughed, "So, in other words, he goaded you into doing something you wouldn't do under normal circumstances." The man's smile fell as the woman patted him on the back, "Don't feel bad, Vlad. Aizawa is a tricky guy. He can trick anyone into doing what he wants."
Vlad rubbed his chin, "If that is supposed to make me feel better then you kinda failed."
Mandalay looked at him, "No, I wasn't trying to make you feel better. I was just stating facts." She walked toward her car, "Now, come on, let's all go to the camp and wait for the students there."
The woman was laughing a little as she walked toward the car, "I want to see their face when they finally reach the cabin."
As she walked to the car, she looked at the edge of the cliff, "Come on, Kota. It's time to go."
A small boy with black hair wearing a red hat with two yellow horns popping out of it. The boy looked at her and came walking to the car as Mandalay asked, "So, tell me? Did you like the hero students?" she crouched in front of him, "I bet they looked really cool."
The boy looked at her before scoffing and getting into the car. Mandalay sighed in disappointment.
Aizawa looked at the scene with intrigue, but Vlad was more direct, "What's with the little kid? Why does he look like a dog pissed in his cereal?" the woman punched him in the shoulder, "Okay, okay, I get it. Use more suitable language, but my question still stands: why is he angry?"
Mandalay looked at the car, "Well, let's say that he doesn't like heroes very much and leave it at that."
Vlad and Aizawa looked at each other before shrugging and getting into the car followed by Pixiebob who made about a hundred monsters to keep the students busy with them.
Around noon, the students came out of the forest. The first one to enter the cabin area was Izuku who looked like he was put through a wringer. His clothes were ripped and he was limping. He was carrying on back Tokage since the girl's legs were still regenerating. Behind was Shoda who was breathing hard and waving his fists due to how uncomfortable they felt right now. Kendo came up next with her fists looking like a dead tree log. On Kendo's back was Komori who was passed out. Ibara came next… the usually well-dressed girl looked like she came from the fight of her life with most of the vines that make up her head tipped off. Kamakiri came next limping on his left foot with Awase helping him move. Bondo then appeared with his face all but dried up from overusing his quirk. Tetsu waltzed into the scene, but he seemed ready to fall over at any minute. Kaibara came up next, but the boy seemed dizzy and looked like he was ready to throw up. Yui and Reiko came up, but both girls were holding onto each other. Manga then appeared and the boy had an empty battery emoji on the top of his head. Jurota came out of the forest being held by Pony's horns who let him fall to the ground when they reached the camp only to fall herself. Tsuburaba came and seemed to be coughing hard. Finally, the last three students of class 1-B arrived with Rin and Shihai carrying a tired Juzo.
Class 1-A arrived at the same time, and they didn't look better than their 1-B counterparts.
Shoto looked at Aizawa, "You said we would be able to reach this place in 3 hours." The man didn't reply so Shoto asked, "Let me guess, another logical ruse?"
Shouta smiled a little, "So after all this time with me, you finally learned something. Good for you, I suppose, but no." he looked at the cat-themed hero, "When we said 3 hours, we meant three hours for us, not you kids."
Vlad's students looked at the man who stood awkwardly there not facing them making Kendo comment, "Face us like a man, soldier. You were tricked, weren't you? He goaded you into this."
Vlad sheepishly rubbed his hair, "Well, what can I say? I like a good challenge…" he quickly shook his head and regained his composure, "AND WHAT THE HELL DID I TELL YOU ABOUT COMPLAINING SO MUCH? DO I NEED TO CALL GRAN TORINO TO TRAIN ALONGSIDE ME AND THE OTHERS?"
The students' eyes widened considerably in fear, "NO…" they shook their hands, "We're good. We're good. Just don't call him here." The man smirked as his students' small revolt was squashed.
Class 1-A looked at their 1-B counterpart as a tired Ochako walked to Aizawa and asked him, "Aizawa-sensei, who's Gran Torino?" she looked back at 1-B, "And why are they so afraid of him?"
"He was a teacher for 1 year at U.A.," Ochako was still confused as to why the students of her sister class were afraid, "And he was also All Might's teacher. It is said that he was so brutal he made All Might shiver in fear whenever his name was mentioned. In fact, he makes me look like a holy man." Ochako felt a chill travel down her spine…
A teacher who made All Might afraid of him… and made Aizawa look like an angel… yeah, maybe 1-B had a reason as to why they were afraid of him. Aizawa added, "Plus, he was the reason why 1-B steamrolled you in the sports festival. He trained them before the sports festival."
"Okay…" it took a couple of moments before her mind processed the statement, "Wait! Are you saying they were trained by All Might's teacher before the sports festival? That's so unfair!" the girl shouted catching everyone's attention making her blush, "Maybe I said that too loud…"
"You think?" Aizawa retorted as he rubbed his ear, "Besides, you'll meet him soon enough. I asked him to come and help us train you, kids." He flicked Ochako in the head, "And did I say about talking about unfairness? the world is an unfair place, kid. The sooner you learn that, the better."
Izuku fell to the ground as his spirit decided to leave his body once he heard Gran Torino was coming, and so did the rest of class 1-B. they looked at their teacher, "You lied to us! Stop hanging with Aizawa-sensei. He's corrupting you with his logical ruses bullshit."
Vlad sweat-dropped but laughed a little at his students' horrified faces. He coughed and yelled, "ZIP IT, MAGGOTS. HE'S COMING SO THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO. DEAL WITH IT!"
Setsuna who was still hanging on Izuku's back, "I can't believe we're going to face that flying goblin once again." She shivered remembering his kicks, "The first time was tortuous enough. Now, he's going to bring his A-game with him given we have more experience."
Izuku replied, "I don't think that Kodai is handling it very well." Setsuna looked and saw Yui hugging her legs while sucking on her thumb like a toddler. It was a very comedic scene if you asked Setsuna.
Ibara had a small line of tears falling down her face, "The small old gremlin from hell is coming back to haunt us," she raised her hands to the sky, "Lord by your divine power, please protect us from his painful methods and humiliating treatment." A ray of light fell on the girl which weirded out 1-A, but class 1-B didn't bat an eye since they had long given up on finding the source of the light.
Shishida replied, "I'm not sure about this, but I think the Lord is going to test our strength once again through Gran Torino's training." Ibara looked at him and nodded in sadness.
Pixiebob then yelled, "Forget about the small flying gremlin," the woman met the man when the camp was being arranged and he managed to plant fear in her chest the moment they met eyes, "I want to put my claims on some of you youthful kids. You all did wonderfully well…"
She pointed at Izuku, Shoto, Iida, Kamakiri, Shishida, Tetsutetsu, Kirishima, and Monoma, "…but they were the best out of you all." The woman jumped toward the boys, "I have to mark my territory so other girls won't try to take you away from me when you're legal."
The blond woman was attempting to kiss the boys, but when she reached a couple of them, she felt malevolent auras directed toward her. She ignored them and went on to claim the boys.
She eventually reached Izuku, but her cat instincts made her jump away when she heard a hiss similar to a snake coming from Izuku's back. The woman returned a hiss of her own only to be met by a pair of reptilian eyes on the top of Izuku's head glaring at her.
The two women kept hissing at each other until Izuku shifted Setsuna and held her princess-style, "I think this will be more comfortable this way." Setsuna smirked at Pixiebob and hugged Izuku.
Setsuna nodded, "Thank you, Izuchan. This is so much comfortable."
Pixiebob saw the scene in front of her and fell to the ground wailing, "But he was the best one of them all." She began to pound the ground, "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
Kamakiri was still wiping his face from Pixiebob's kiss, "This woman is desperate. She needs help."
Eraserhead looked at Mandalay, "Is she usually this desperate, or is she passing through some kind of cat phase that I didn't hear of?" Vlad meanwhile was gesturing that Pixiebob was crazy.
Mandalay frowned at Vlad's gestures punching him in the gut, "Look, she's just going through some phase." She looked back at Pixiebob, "I think she's afraid some might not find someone else if she passes a certain age. Don't worry about it. It's nothing serious."
Pixiebob suddenly jumped and looked at Tokage, "I declare war for the green…" She was knocked unconscious when Mandalay threw a stone at her head.
Mandalay looked back at the heroes, "Yeah, nothing serious here."
Izuku looked at something or rather someone, "Okay, speaking of someone's age…" he was quickly tackled by Pixiebob who grabbed his face making Izuku almost drop Tokage, "…I'm 18 at heart." The woman said making all the boys roll their eyes at how desperate she was.
Kirishima and Tetsu said, "This woman is really sad. We hope our wives won't be like that."
They both received bonks from Mina and Kendo over their heads making them groan in pain.
Izuku carried on, "What I am talking about is that child standing there by himself?" All the students looked and saw a small boy wearing a white shirt and black shorts.
Mandalay crouched beside him, "Oh you mean this little guy," Mandalay hugged the boy, "This is cute little nephew, Kota. He's going to join us from the training camp." The woman looked at Kota, "Come on, Kota. Go ahead and introduce yourself to them."
The boy simply stood there and stared at the teens, but didn't say anything.
Izuku handed Setsuna to Kendo and walked to the small boy, "Hi there, my name is Izuku Midoriya. I'm a student in the hero course at UA. I'm in class 1…" the boy's speech was cut out when he made a screech of absolute pain and misery…
The reason for said scream was the little boy who decided to punch Izuku in a place where no man should be punched. Izuku's color drained from his face and he fell to the ground, but Tetsu grabbed Izuku and looked at the boy, "What the hell is wrong with you? Don't you know punching a guy in the nuts is something very unmanly?"
Kota glared at them, "I don't want to spend any moment of my time with a bunch of wannabe heroes." He walked away with Mandalay looking at him and Izuku with worry.
Tetsu yelled at the small boy, "What the hell is wrong with punk? And who are calling wannabes?"
Mandalay then said, "I'm really sorry about Kota. I'll make sure he apologizes later."
Tetsu then hefted Izuku over his shoulder and sighed, "Well, I guess we have to go and unpack now." He scratched his head, "I wonder where we're going to stay right?"
Vlad then yelled, "Follow me, kids, so I can take you to your housing unit." Class 1-B sighed and began to follow Vlad, but the man stopped, "I was pretty sure I said 'kids', not '1-B' so this means you too class 1-A." the other class began to follow the blood hero.
Mandalay yelled, "And don't forget. Once you guys unpack, we will make dinner for you in the cafeteria so make sure to come and eat." She then added, "Also, we prepared a hot bath for you to shower in and enjoy your time, so get ready kids."
The students weakly cheered as they made their way to unpack.
The students were in their temporary residential areas as they began to unpack their clothes…
Well, most of them were unpacking their clothes. Tokage was having Kendo help her unpack since she was still missing a leg. Kendo looked at Tokage and said, "So, you hiss like a snake when you feel threatened or that someone is trying to steal your man?"
Tokage rolled her eyes, "Please, at least, I don't send waves of aggression so strong I made squirrels run for their lives." Kendo blushed and looked away.
"Oh hush, you." Kendo said, "But still, I'm going to ask Tetsu on a date after the training camp. I've been sending signals, but the guy is as dense as a rock." Kendo then put some of her stuff away.
She turned to Setsuna, "So what are you planning to do about your legs? I don't think Izuku or I are going to carry around all the time?" Kendo smirked, "Or do you want your prince charming to keep carrying you around?" Setsuna replied by sticking out her tongue.
Setsuna sighed, "After I get my fill of food, my legs will start to grow back." She looked down, "Even now, they starting to grow back, but very slowly. They're regenerating at a snail's pace."
Kendo nodded, but Kinoko popped into their room, "Forget, Setsuna. You want Izuku to carry you around." She stuck out her tongue, "You told us on the bus who you like feeling his muscles."
Setsuna groaned, "Why the hell did I tell you guys this?" she covered her face, "You mushroom fairy won't let live this down, will you?" Kinoko shook her head.
She then turned to Kendo, "Now carry me to the dining hall so I can eat."
Kendo laughed at Setsuna and carried her like a sack of potatoes over her shoulder with Setsuna protesting the undignified way she was being treated.
In the dining hall, the students were shoveling food into their mouths as if they had never eaten food before. Tetsutetsu yelled, "Man, this is so good right now. My mouth is really crying from happiness. I can't stop myself from eating this."
Kamakiri from the side added, "On normal occasions, I wouldn't bring anything to my mouth if I didn't see someone making it in front of my eyes, but now I can eat this until my stomach explodes." Other boys nodded in agreement.
Kirishima sniffed the air, "Wait!" All the boys looked at him, "Is that meat I smell? Do you guys have meat? Give us meat, I want to restore my energy."
He looked at down the plate, "Wow, this thing is pottery. It looks so cool. I wonder how it was made?" Pixiebob who was making nearby sweat-dropped at the boy's sudden interest in pottery.
Mandalay came into the room with a plate full of meat, "Come on, eat as much as you want" she smiled mischievously, "because going on, things are about to get ten times as hectic as they were today."
Izuku looked at her, "Well, this is tasty, but do you have more vegetable soup? I liked it." He then lifted his plate, "Also, I want some carrots with my steak."
Mandalay smiled, "Of course," she then looked at Kota, "Kota, please be a dear and go bring some vegetables from the fridge."
The little boy frowned and crossed his arms, "This is so pointless." He walked into the kitchen.
Izuku looked at the boy and wondered what was wrong with him, but Setsuna nudged him in the side. He looked at her and she had a cheeky grin, "Are you going to meddle in someone's affairs?"
Izuku shook his head, "Not really, but that kid…" Tokage looked at Kota, "he looks so sad around us." Izuku frowned eating another piece of carrot, "I just want him to be happy. I hate it when kids around me are sad." He chuckled a bit, "It reminds me of my childhood."
"There's no need to bring bad memories back," Tokage replied, "Plus if you want to know why he looks sad, go ask him." She stared at Izuku who had a shiver travel down his spine and his hands went to protect his family jewels, "I guess the phantom effect of his punch is still there."
Awase replied on Izuku's behalf, "Are you kidding? I can still feel it until this moment." The other boys present in the room nodded, "A punch to the family jewels is a vicious hit."
Setsuna laughed, "Yeah, yeah. I got that. You kinda learn that thing after you punch your fifth guy in the nuts and see them rolling and withering on the ground in pain, but it's fun too."
Izuku looked at her with a haunted look on his face making her laugh, "Calm down, Izuchan. I won't kick you there," she leaned toward him, "unless you force me to. Now you don't want to do that, do you, Izuchan? Do you want me to kick you so hard I make you cry?"
Izuku's soul left his body making Setsuna smile as she achieved her mission in making the boy shudder in fear. She laughed a little, but eventually, Izuku began to laugh too with her.
"Anything, but your anger, Setchan…" Izuku said and patted the girl's head, "The important thing is that we keep our queen happy." Setsuna smiled, but her smile turned to a frown a moment later…
Kamakiri laughed from the opposite end of the table, "Yeah, queen Shit of Fuck land."
Everyone laughed at the green-haired girl who simply pouted at the horrible nickname.
From the side of the room, Iida was walking at Izuku and watching him interact with his friends. The boy on some level was still peeved at what happened with Stain, but now it was mostly directed at himself and for the way he handled the entire situation…
After the incident with Stain, he was angry at Kamakiri and Midoriya, but a talk with his brother after I-Island made him understand things more clearly, and see how wrong he was that night on many fronts…
It was a normal day for Tenya, he went out for his usual training routine which he doubled because his left leg's efficiency was down by at least 50%. He had to make up for the loss by increasing his training somehow…
Once he returned home, he saw his brother in the garden watching birds. Tenya walked up to him, "Good morning, Tensei. What are you doing here? You are usually still asleep by this time."
Tensei smiled, "I infer from this that you don't want to see me." The man gave his brother a teasing smile making the younger man scold him for making a senseless joke, "Loosen up, Tenya."
The man coughed into his fist, "But seriously, I wanted to talk to you about something."
Tenya nodded, "Of course, brother. We can talk. I'm ready to hear whatever you have to say."
"Well, the thing is…" the man sighed, "There's no easy way to talk about this, but I'm worried about you. You aren't yourself, Tenya. You're acting off, but the worst thing is that you're still upset about what happened in Hosu that night…" the man didn't get to finish because Tenya cut him off.
"No, brother. I can assure you I'm 100% fine," Tenya stood up to leave, "So there's no need to…"
"Tenya, sit down." Tensei ordered him making the boy flop down in his seat, "You can't lie to me. I talked to your teachers. They told me what you did in your final exam. They told me how you berated the girl you were supposed to work with. the girl carried you to success, yet you berated her claiming that she stood in your way and made your mission much harder."
Tenya cleared his throat, "I had everything under control. She had a quirk that put her in an unfavorable position against Reverb, so I told her to be my backup, but she didn't listen. I suppose…"
"Tenya, you were also at a disadvantage." Tensei said, "His quirk can shatter the very ground you walk on. I doubt you ever had an advantage against him, so again I ask you; why did you do what you did that day? When I was told this, I was very disappointed."
"No, No, NO" Tenya yelled, "Don't be disappointed with me. Please, I'll try to be better, but please don't be disappointed with me." Tenya clenched his fist, "I already failed that night in Hosu when I allowed someone else to defeat Stain, so please…" the boy stopped when he heard a groan.
"Don't tell me that you're still hung up on what happened in Hosu," the older man ran a hand through his face, "Tenya, you almost died that. If it weren't for those who intervened to save you at the last moment, you might have never lived to see another day."
"I HAD EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL THAT NIGHT," Tenya lost control of his emotions and yelled, "That night I almost had Stain, if it weren't for those three, I would have killed Stain and ave…"
"Tenya, when did I ask you to avenge me?" Tensei sighed, "That night you were found face down on the ground when the ice and fire came to save you only to need to be saved himself. The Midoriya kid and the blade kid saved your life that night."
"No, they're the reason why my quirk was damaged." Tenya began to cry, "If they didn't interfere, I would have defeated Stain. They stopped me from living up to your name. I wanted that night for Stain to be taken down by Ingenium."
Tensei rubbed his forehead, "But I never asked you to do that."
Tenya replied, "But it was my duty as Ingenium to defeat and end him completely, but those two…"
"Tenya, I repeat. You were faced down on the ground with a serial killer above your head," Tensei stared his brother down, "How was any of that under your control?"
The boy remained silent, "I guess this means progress. Tenya, do you know why I asked you to carry my hero name?" the boy shook his head, "I did it because I saw how much you look up to me, so I thought you might be happy to take it and carry it, but had I known what it would have done…"
"No, that's not the reason why I went after Stain," Iida interjected, "It was my job to live up to your hero name. that's why I couldn't take it until I defeated Stain. I wanted to make you proud that it was Ingenium who defeated Stain."
"Tenya, let me ask you a question," Tensei looked at Tenya with a hard look, "What would make me happier? You being safe or you being dead because you went after Stain?" before Tenya could open his mouth, "And don't say you had everything under control or I'll truly be angry with you."
Tenya didn't reply because he knew the answer beforehand.
Tensei smiled, "Do you know what I felt when I heard you almost died fighting Stain? I felt I failed you as an older brother. It made me feel that I didn't do enough to stop you from doing something so crazy. I felt like I put you under a huge weight that you couldn't hope to carry."
"No, that's not right. You're the best brother in the whole wide world." Tenya protested.
"It doesn't feel that way, Tenya." The older man said, "When I was told what you did after the Hosu incident, I felt very disappointed in myself I didn't stop you from spiraling into sadness." Tensei leaned back into his walking chair, "I should have been more attentive, and for that, I want to say I'm sorry, Tenya. I'm sorry for not helping you through dark times."
Tenya opened his mouth, but Tensei kept talking, "And I'll redeem myself by telling you that you don't need to carry my name anymore. From now on, Ingenium died with me." He patted his brother on the shoulder, "It's time for a new better hero to rise in his place."
The man began to go away leaving Iida to reflect on this conservation…
And reflect, the boy did. Iida reached many conclusions; chief among them that he was a complete moron. He had many people to apologize to and many wrongs to make right, but he'll begin by apologizing to Reiko because she was a victim of his anger.
Half an hour later, the boys were in the hot springs. They were all resting their bodies after a torturous day. Izuku was submerged to his neck with water when he asked, "Is he alright?"
He asked pointing at Mineta who was being tied up by Sero's tape and being bobbed by Shoji in and out of the water like some kind of buoy.
Sero shrugged getting into the water, "He asked me to tie him so I did. I didn't ask him why."
Izuku then saw the look of absolute pain on Mineta's face as he was looking at the wall separating them from the girls on the other side. Izuku sweat-dropped, 'I guess he's trying to stop himself from doing something stupid toward the girls. He's taking Tsunotori's words to heart.'
He then saw Kota on the top of the wall separating them from the girls. "Hey, what are you doing up there, you sinful child? This is called an invasion of privacy." Kota made the mistake of turning to what Izuku presumed was Ibara, but the boy was greeted by the sight of many naked girls making him have a nosebleed.
The boy fell off the wall, but Izuku caught him. "I think he passed out from the fall. I'm going to take him to Mandalay to check over him."
Izuku put on some clothes and went to see Mandalay as Kaminari said, "We'll keep your seat safe."
Juzo then said, "You know it's all fun and games till Kaminair sneezes and accidentally electrocutes everyone here." Juzo laughed at his joke but saw Kaminari get thrown from the water.
On the other side of the wall, Ibara buried herself under the water with her face red hot. It was mostly because she caused a small child to be harmed. Setsuna patted her on the back, "Yeah, I think it was mostly a good idea to let it slide."
With Izuku, the boy was with Mandalay who finished checking up on Kota. "There's nothing wrong with him. he's just passed out. I don't think he has a concussion."
Izuku looked at Kota, "can I ask you a question?" the woman nodded, "Why does Kota seem to hate heroes? I grew up idolizing heroes myself and everyone around me doing the same, so to see a kid so jaded is a little out of place."
"Yeah," Mandalay nodded, "Kota shouldn't be a surprise, because there are many people out there who don't like heroes, but Kota's is a little more personal. His parents are the reason why he doesn't like heroes."
Izuku was confused, "His parents are the reason he doesn't like heroes?"
Pixiebob came into the room, "Yeah, his parents. Mandalay's cousins were also heroes. The Waterhose couple if you ever heard of them." Izuku nodded, "Well, two years ago, they came across a particularly strong villain, and well… you can see where the story is going."
Mandalay carried on, "As heroes, it was the utmost honor for any of us to lay our lives down to protect people, but for a child like Kota whose parents were his entire world it felt wrong. He was just a grieving young boy who saw the entire world celebrating his parents' death, it wasn't something that he could understand so easily."
Mandalay sighed, "He doesn't like us either, but he knows he doesn't have any other place to go."
The woman finished her talk, "To him, heroes are all disgusting people who like to flaunt their quirks in front of everyone and the same thing applies to villains."
Mandalay then looked at her clock and said, "I guess it's time for you to go and sleep since it's going to be an early morning call for you and your friends tomorrow."
The boy nodded and left still thinking about the hat-wearing boy even as he slept.
The next morning, a loud voice woke up the students of 1-A and 1-B, "Rise and shine maggots. It's time for hell on earth to begin."
