Chapter 95 Practice Duel

Aboard the Leviathan, Wraith had just finished her first session with the Dark Amplifier and Vlad wanted to see how it had increased his student's fighting skills and connection to the Dark Side of the Force. The best way to do that was with a combat exercise. Vlad summoned Fright Knight to a special section of the ship that Vlad used to train with his lightsaber. Fright Knight arrived in the training area with Vid, Download, and Trash behind him. Vlad waited on one side of the room with Wraith and Spectra. Both Wraith and Fright Knight were instructed to put their lightsabers on their lowest energy settings to avoid causing death and serious harm to each other. Vlad went over to Wraith and whispered some instructions to her.
"I want you to picture Fright Knight as the person you hate most. Attack Fright Knight as if you were attacking that person."
"Yes master." Said Wraith.
The two combatants entered the fighting area and ignited their lightsabers. Wraith struck first with a yell as she charged at Fright Knight and began to rain blows down on him, with a great deal of ferocity. Fright Knight's eyes went a little wide from the onslaught, but he managed to block all the attacks as he retreated backwards. The knight was surprised by the anger he sensed from the young girl as she continued to strike at him. If it wasn't for all his years of combat training, Fright Knight would have already been disarmed and the battle would have been over. Wraith continued on with her onslaught of attacks as Fright Knight continued to defend himself. As the battled went on Vlad simply smiled as Spectra collected data. Wraith's anger seemed to be growing as the fighting went on and she swung her lightsaber down with incredible speed and force at Fright Knight, who instead of blocking the attack, he sidestepped it and struck at Wraith, who quickly jumped away from the attack. This gave Fright Knight the opportunity to press forward with his offense and he chased after Wraith swinging his lightsaber at her. Now Wraith was on the defensive as Fright Knight was attacking her. Wraith's defensive skills weren't quit as good as Fright Knight continued to press his attack. At one point Fright Knight managed to knock Wraith's lightsaber out of her hand and it landed a few feet away.
"Yield!" Ordered Fright Knight.
"Never!" Yelled Wraith.
Fright Knight swung his lightsaber at Wraith who ducked and preformed a sweeping kick that knocked Fright Knight off his feet and crashing to his back. Wraith went running over to her lightsaber and picked it up as Fright Knight leaped to his feet and charged at Wraith swinging. The two lightsabers met again and again as they collided as both combatants looked for a opening, so they could get a win. They pushed away from each other and then they leaped at each other swinging their lightsabers. Both fighters stopped their a few inches away from each other's neck. Both Wraith and Fright Knight were breathing hard as they stared into each other's eyes. Fright Knight was a bit disturbed by the anger and lack of fear in the girl's eyes. What kind of training or experiments did Vlad put the girl through?
"I think that's quit enough. Will just call it a draw." Said Vlad.
Both fighters withdrew their lightsabers and deactivated them.
"You got lucky. Next time you won't be so lucky." Said Wraith as she walked away from Fright Knight.
"That child is both incredibly powerful and incredibly dangerous. I pity those who face her." Thought Fright Knight as he rejoined his troops and they walked away.
"Well done my young apprentice. Your skills have gotten better." Said Vlad as Wraith joined him.
"I'm sorry I didn't win." Said Wraith with a bow.
"That's quit alright. You did far better then I anticipated. You fought a skilled and seasoned warrior like Fright Knight to a draw and that's quit an accomplishment for someone your age." Said Vlad with a smile.
"Thank you master." Said Wraith.
"You did such a good and impressive job, that I have decided to award you with a special mission. One that will strike a blow against the Rebellion and perhaps draw Phantom out of hiding." Said Vlad.
Wraith was liking the sound of that.
"Clean up and come to the bridge. I'll tell you your mission there." Said Vlad.
Wraith nodded her head and went to her quarters to clean herself off. She couldn't wait for her mission and to have another chance at taking Phantom down.
