Chapter 112 Learning the Truth

Jazz walked down the street heading to her home of FentonWorks. She looked up at the familiar sign and felt warm and safe. Jazz entered the building and was immediately grabbed and brought into a great big hug by her father, Jack Fenton.
"Oh Jazz thank goodness you're alright! We were so worried about you!" Said Jack before he let go of Jazz and set her on the ground.
"You're not hurt or anything are you?" Asked Maddie as she suddenly popped up next to Jazz and began to examine Jazz for injuries.
"Mom I'm ok. There were a few very dangerous close calls, but everything turned out to be fine." Said Jazz.
"Hey sis glad you're ok." Said Danny as he joined the others and gave Jazz a hug.
"Hey Danny." Said Jazz as she returned the hug.
"Why don't you tell us everything that happened at the Capitol." Said Maddie as she indicated the family dinning table.
"Alright." Said Jazz as she and her family sat down.
Jazz decided it was ok to tell her family everything that happened at the Capitol, since she hadn't been ordered by either Vlad or Lancer to keep it a secret. Besides none of the information couldn't really harm the Empire in anyway. Jazz told her family about meeting Wraith, Youngblood and his crew taking control of the Capitol, stopping the fight between Phantom and Wraith, and the defeat of Youngblood and taking the Capitol back from the pirates. As she talked Jazz kept a close eye on Danny observing his face and body language to see how he would react to her story. Danny remained calm and he didn't do anything unusual to indicate something was up. Jazz finished her story by telling about her interaction with Vlad and the statement that Lancer gave out to the public blaming the Rebels for what went down at the Capitol.
"Sounds like you had a stressful ordeal at the Capitol." Said Jack.
"It was, but the thing that really bothered me was how the Empire was so keen on casting blame on the Rebels for what went down at the Capitol, even though they had nothing to do with the takeover and in the end they ended up saving me and the other hostages as well as defeating the pirates and taking the Capitol back. I get the Empire has a desire to bring the Rebels to justice and saying the Rebels saved the Capitol would look bad for the Empire's image, but labeling them as the culprits for a crime they didn't do is absolutely wrong!" Said Jazz.
"Oh sweetie." Said Maddie.
"This whole incident as well as a few other things I've seen on the job and read in files has made me start questioning the system and integrity of the Empire." Said Jazz.
"What do you mean?" Asked Maddie.
"I have seen innocent people unfairly held captive in prison and I've read reports about military officers abusing their position and power. I first thought these were isolated incidents, but now I'm not sure. The Empire isn't the good government organization I thought it was." Said Jazz.
"Well if that's the case, then I'm glad there's someone like you to notice these things. I have faith that you can really change things and do right by the people." Said Maddie.
"Thanks mom. There's another that's bothering me." Said Jazz.
"What's that?" Asked Danny.
"It concerns Wraith." Said Jazz.
"What about her?" Asked Danny.
"Well you see after I stopped the fight between Wraith and Phantom I asked what Wraith's deal was with Phantom and she told me that she was a clone of Phantom. Phantom is always seen wearing a mask and hood, so I don't exactly know what he looks like, but Wraith looks a lot like a young female version of Danny." Said Jazz looking over at her brother.
"How so?" Asked Danny.
"Wraith's hair and eyes are the exact same colors as yours. And she had a few similar mannerisms and quirks as you." Said Jazz.
"That's quit a coincidence." Said Danny.
"Oh but I don't think it's a coincidence. I think that Wraith is your clone." Said Jazz.
"So that would make me Phantom." Said Danny.
"That's what the evidence and my observations has lead me to believe, unless you care to offer me some other kind of explanation." Said Jazz.
Danny was silent as he looked at his mother who simply nodded.
"You're right Jazz. I am Phantom and Wraith is my clone." Said Danny.
"I...thought I was on...to something, but hearing you admit it, really is a...lot to process." Said Jazz.
"I know." Said Danny.
"So...you've been running around as Phantom...helping the Rebels fight the Empire." Said Jazz.
"I have." Said Danny.
"And you're a Jedi...and you can use the Force." Said Jazz.
Danny looked over at a cup of water sitting on the table and used the Force to lift it a couple of inches into the air and then set it back on the table. Jazz just stared at Danny in stunned silence for several seconds and then she spoke.
"You...just used the Force. My...brother can use the Force! Just how can you use it?"
"Danny inherited that ability from me and I've been teaching him how to use it since he and I joined the Rebels." Said Maddie before she used the Force to move another cup.
Jazz looked at her mom in surprise. Maddie gave Jazz a small smile before she began to tell her about her time as a Jedi serving in the Clone Wars and how she survived the aftermath of Order 66. She told her daughter how she married Jack and how she ended up joining the Rebels and about all the missions she and Danny had been on. Jazz was completely taken aback by this revelation. Danny put a comforting hand on Jazz's lap.
"I felt the exact same way, when mom told me this and that was after she came to the rescue with a lightsaber." Said Danny.
"Why...didn't you tell me about any of this?" Asked Jazz.
"Don't get upset at your brother, I told him not to tell you. I always planned on revealing everything to you, when you were older and began to see the Empire's lies and illusions. Today you are old and wise enough to hear the truth." Said Maddie.
"That's good to hear." Said Jazz.
"I give you my word that there will no longer be any family secrets kept from you." Said Maddie.
"So...since Wraith is Danny's clone, that technically makes her, Danny's sister, which makes her my sister as well." Said Jazz.
"Guess that's one way to look at it." Said Danny.
"You plan to save her from Vlad?" Asked Jazz.
"I hope to. I don't want to fight Wraith or hurt her." Said Danny.
"Well if the Rebels plan to save Wraith and take Vlad and his cronies down, then I want to help. The Empire is bad and I want to really help the Amitrax System in anyway I can." Said Jazz with determination in her voice.
"Welcome to the Rebellion sis. Glad to have you on board." Said Danny.
"If you plan to aid us you must be careful and smart. You're in a valuable position that can get us important information on the Empire's activities. I will train you how to fight and defend yourself." Said Maddie.
"I'm ready for whatever you got." Said Jazz.
"Awesome! Really love that you're on our side Jazz." Said Danny.
"I'm glad too." Said Jazz.
The two siblings hugged and the first time in a few years they really felt close and looked forward to spending time together. Maddie and Jack simply smiled at the nice little scene.
