Summary: Tsubasa and Honoka planned out a nice walk around the park that didn't include neither ducks, coffee nor an unexpected but sweet finale

Cream on your lips

She hears her laugh and cheerful voice even before she arrives to the place they've agreed to meet, a big tree with a small bird house resting in between its branches.

Tsubasa leans against its robust trunk to watch the bubbly orange haired girl by the small stand asking for what she presumably thinks could be some coffee.

The orange haired girl is about to pay for it when two little kids approach her, and Tsubasa smiles already knowing what will happen next.

She sees Honoka looking into the puppy eyes that the kids are giving her and easily gives in, motioning the man in the small stand for two of something before the man hands her two bags with what seems like small slices of bread in it.

Tsubasa giggles, feeling her heart warming at how sweet Honoka is and at the sight of the other girl giving the kids one of the bags with a big smile on her face, receiving a tight and effusive hug in return.

- Thank you, one-san!

Tsubasa hears the kids yelling at Honoka before running away contented, then, she watches the orange haired girl making her way towards the spot they were supposed to meet. As soon as their eyes meet, Honoka's smile widens.

- Haha, sorry Tsu – she apologizes, scratching her cheek and Tsubasa can only shake her head.

- Don't worry, Honk.

Honoka smiles at her before she hands her one of the coffees.

- It's cold so I thought a cup of coffee would be nice.

Tsubasa smiles at the sweet and thoughtful gesture and gladly accepts it.

- I've got you a caramel one.

But upon hearing the word caramel, Tsubasa's smile slightly drops. She doesn't really like it and Honoka realizes of it too late.

- Oh, shit, don't tell me I've got it wrong? W-Wait! Maybe you don't like it? – Honoka says, panicking upon seeing Tsubasa's mild discomforted face and looks at their coffees – h-here take mine or I can just get you another co-

- It's okay, Honk – Tsubasa says shaking her head and placing a hand over Honoka's to prevent her from leaving.

- But-

- Really, Honk, it's okay – Tsubasa says, trying to reassure the other girl, seeing a cute pout on her face and she knows there's no way she isn't drinking the coffee she brought for her after seeing such cute pout, even if she doesn't like the caramel.

- Ducks? – Tsubasa says looking at the bag of bread in the other girl's hand and changing of topic trying to not make the other girl feel guilty about the coffee. She seems to succeed as she hears Honoka giggling and sees her scratching the back of her head.

- Is it that obvious? – Honoka says lightly.

- Just a bit.

They both giggle and walk towards the duck's pond, waving at the kids that tricked Honoka into buying them the bread minutes ago, before they sit at the shore of the pond to feed the ducks.

They spend some time feeding them while talking about school and music when Tsubasa notices a light trace of cream lingering on Honoka's lips, blushing slightly at it.

Honoka, upon realizing that Tsubasa is looking at her, tilts her head confusedly yet adorably.

- It's everything okay, Tsu? – she asks her innocently, making Tsubasa nervous and also blush slightly more.

- Y-Yeah, you just... uh, have some cream... uh... – Tsubasa says nervously, pointing at the light trace of cream on the other girl's lips.

Honoka looks at her confused, cleaning her mouth with the back of her hand only to terribly miss the spot where the cream is.

- Is it gone? – she asks, seeing Tsubasa shaking her head.

She keeps cleaning her mouth with no luck until Tsubasa grabs her wrist to stop her and timidly approaches her.

Soon, her soft lips are on hers, kissing her sweetly and letting her taste the flavor of caramel of her coffee.

- It's all gone now – Tsubasa whispers against her lips once the kiss ends.

The both of them blush hard at it and at the kiss and quickly pull apart, sinking into an awkward silence. None of them know what to do or to say to break it except watch the ducks swimming calmly around them in the pond unaware of the situation.

- H-Honk, I'm so-

Tsubasa's apology is soon interrupted by a pair of lips on hers, kissing her softly.

Once the kiss ends, Honoka rests her forehead against Tsubasa's, looking into her eyes fondly and Tsubasa can see her blue eyes sparkling with glee.

- Y-You had some cream on there too – Honoka says quietly, timidly and they can't help but laugh happily at the excuse before sharing another sweet kiss.
