Chapter 125 Hunting 5

Maddie and the team of Rebels charged at Hotep Ra's fortress. The guards on the wall sounded the alarm and began firing at the invading forces. Crash, Wulf, and Maddie covered Tucker as he raced to a panel on the gate and began to hack it. A minute later the gate opened up. Several guards stood on the other side of the gate and tried to force the Rebels back, but Maddie leaped at them and twirled her lightsaber like a wild tornado that sent lasers back at their users knocking them to the ground or sliced weapons to bits. The guards were taken aback by such a fierce and elegant attack and a few of them just simply fled away from Maddie and deeper into the base. Maddie was a mother and a leader on a mission and she was determined to save Danny and Valerie.
In the base anger, panic, and confusion were taking ahold of the crowd of criminals as they heard the sound of the alarm and fighting. Things got worse, when a guard raced in and shouted they were under attack and that the attackers appeared to be lead by a Jedi. Big Daddy saw this as another opportunity to turn the crowd against Hotep Ra.
"So that's how it is. You lured us all here for a insane elaborate plan, so you can get rid of us and takeover the criminal underworld. The Rebels would take the blame for our deaths, so none of our underlings would come after you for revenge." Said Big Daddy pointing a accusing finger at Hotep Ra.
"WHAT?! Don't be absurd! I'm in the same amount of danger as you!" Yelled Hotep Ra.
"So you say, but this island and base is yours. I'm pretty sure a guy like you has a couple of secret exits and escape plans laid out for situations just like this. You're probably planning to leave us all behind, while you make your escape to save your own skin." Said Big Daddy.
The crowd muttered in agreement as what Big Daddy said made a whole lot of sense. A nervous look appeared on Hotep Ra's face as he saw several members of the crowd pull out blasters and blades. The guards quickly surrounded Hotep Ra and stood between him and the crowd of angry criminals. For a few seconds no one said anything. Hotep Ra looked like he was going to say something, but one of the more trigger happy criminals fired her blaster and struck one of the guards knocking them to the ground. A moment later fighting broke out between the two groups. It was utter chaos!
On another part of the island, Danny, Valerie, Johnny, Kitty and Shadow were making their way through the jungle, when a arrow flew down from the sky and barely missed Johnny and ended up quivering in a tree next to him. Everyone turned to see a pink haired man in a pink jumpsuit armed with a bow and arrows and a grey furred Lepi wearing a grey jumpsuit carrying a basket of explosives standing on a large rock.
"It's Cupid the archer and Easter the bomber!" Cried Kitty as Easter threw a bomb at them.
The Rebels and their allies jumped out of the way and at the same time Doombringer and her gang came charging onto the scene. Doombringer, Ving, and Felos were in the lead and they saw the explosive on the ground and quickly jumped to the sides. Zim and Spook who had been trailing right behind the others didn't see the bomb as quickly as the others and didn't have enough time to jump to the side to avoid the explosive. The explosive wasn't too powerful, but it was still strong enough to send both hunters flying back and crashing into some trees knocking them both out.
Easter reached into his basket and hurled another explosive at Danny. The young Jedi saw the bomb coming and used the Force to send it flying back at Easter and Cupid. The two bounty hunters yelled in surprise and jumped off the rock as the bomb exploded. Doombringer and the remaining hunters in the party sprung into action and went after the Rebels' allies. Doombringer went after Kitty, Ving went after Johnny, and Felos went after Shadow. Ving tackled Johnny and they went rolling and tumbling across the ground punching each other. Felos and Shadow rolled across the the slashing and snarling against each other. Doombringer stalked towards Kitty with her ax. Kitty had dropped her blaster during Easter's attack and she was desperately looking for it as she backed away from Doombringer.
Valerie would have helped Kitty and the others, but Femalien sprung up from behind her, wrapped her big arms around Valerie, and began to squeeze her with all her might. The Mandalorian gasped in pain as she felt the pressure on her body. Femalien just laughed.
"Terminatra and Nightmerica are going to be pleased, when I present your broken and mangled corpse to them." Said Femalien.
Valerie responded to this by slamming her helmeted head back into Femalien's face making her snarl in pain and loosen her grip. This allowed the Rebel to fire one of her razor disk at Femalien's foot. The disk didn't stab the foot, but it did slice the side of it making Femalien cry out in pain and let go of Valerie. Valerie wrapped the chain of her shackle around her fist and slammed it into Femalien's face sending her reeling back. Femalien snarled and lunged at Valerie, who quickly pulled out her blaster and struck the bounty hunter in the head with a stun blast. Femalien collapsed to the ground with a thud.
Valerie turned her attention to Doombringer who had knocked Kitty to the ground and was preparing to stab down on her. The Rebel fired her blaster and struck Doombringer in the chest with a stun blast knocking her to ground in a heap. Valerie then fired a couple of stun blasts at Ving and Felos knocking them both out. She then went about helping her allies to their feet.
As all that went down Danny faced off against Cupid and Easter. Cupid fired an arrow at Danny, who dodged it and charged at the two hunters. Easter hurled bombs at Danny, who used the Force to deflect them to the sides. Danny reached Easter and swung his knife at the handle of Easter's basket slicing through it and causing the basket to hit the ground and spill out it's contents. Easter stared down at the handle he still held and Danny delivered a punch to his face knocking him to the ground in a unconscious heap. Cupid fired an arrow at Danny and he dodged it and charged at the hunter. The archer fired one arrow after another at Danny, only to have him dodge them and continue charging forward. Cupid gritted his teeth in annoyance and fired another arrow at Danny, who was only a few yards away from him. Danny concentrated and used the Force to catch the arrow and stop it with his free hand. Cupid just stared at Danny in both shock and amazement. Danny cleared the distance between him and Cupid and delivered a kick to his face that knocked the archer to the ground unconscious.
The fight was over and other then some minor injuries everyone was alright. Danny decided to take a moment to rest and use the Force to see if he could get a location on any threats or danger. He got a little surprise, when he sensed his mother on the island.
"Looks my mother is leading a rescue party to save us." Said Danny.
"Great." Said Valerie.
"Before we go meet up with her, I want to go find my lightsaber. It's a dangerous weapon and I don't like the idea of it being in the wrong hands. I think I might know who has it." Said Danny.
"Alright use the Force to find it and lead the way." Said Valerie.
The team set out into the jungle looking to reclaim the lightsaber.
