Summary: Yoshiko can't help but accompany Hanamaru to the bookstore after seeing her doing such a cute expression.
Yoshiko/Hanamaru
The things I do for you
Not even fifteen minutes have gone by since the class started, and her attention was already drifting away from the teacher writing on the blackboard to the blank page of the notebook lying in front of her.
Yoshiko sighs and grabs her pen to start doodling the first thing that comes to her mind: a pair of wings, some feathers, a puppy… any nonsense that could fill the spaces in the page.
Once she gets bored of doodling, or more likely, runs out of ideas, she lets her gaze wander around the classroom, over her classmates looking out for new ideas until her eyes land on the petite brunette close to her.
She gets lost admiring the way the sun rays hit her brown hair lightening it, but especially, she gets trapped in the way her eyes sparkle and her smile widens beamingly as she listens attentively to their teacher explaining whatever literature boring thing she's saying at that current moment, basking in the new knowledge that she eagerly writes down on her notebook before she excitedly looks back at the blackboard.
Yoshiko chuckles to herself, amused at her childhood friend to then rest her head on the palm of her hand and keep paying attention to Hanamaru's expressions and cute face.
Wait, what? Cute? No, she didn't think that.
The blue haired girl shakes her head at the same time the bell rings, bringing her back to reality. She quickly gathers her things and puts them back into her school bag to leave such a hellishly boring place as soon as possible.
- Yoshiko-chan!
A soft voice calls out her name cheerfully, stopping her in her actions and drawing a groan from her as she raises her head to find herself staring into a pair of mesmerizing and sparkling amber eyes staring back at her, accompanied with a beaming face.
- It's Yohane! – she corrects Hanamaru sulkily, who giggles happily brushing her outburst off.
- Can we go to buy some books to the bookstore? – Hanamaru asks her timidly, a light blush tinting her cheeks.
Cute.
- Why does this fallen angel have to go with you, little demon? Can't you go alone? – Yoshiko exhales unamusedly, furrowing her brows confused.
- I-I don't want to go alone, and, I-I may need somebody to stop me from buying too many books, zura – Hanamaru mumbles, a harder blush adorning now her cheeks in embarrassment, and Yoshiko can't avert her gaze, being completely trapped in such cuteness displayed.
- Ugh, fine, but you'll have to make it up to me – she ends up saying resigned, hearing Hanamaru squealing happily before she feels her arms wrapping her in a tight hug.
- Thank you zura! – Hanamaru exclaims happily, kissing her cheek on the spur of the moment.
They both pull away real quickly after the light kiss, blushing furiously.
- Y-Y-You're more than welcome little demon! – Yoshiko squeaks embarrassedly, before the both of them leave the school grounds, not daring to look at one another over embarrassment.
As they're walking, Hanamaru's pinky brushes Yoshiko's before the brunette bravely links them, making the both of them blush even harder than before if possible but still continue with their walk to the bookstore happily and with their pinkies linked.
Ah, the things this fallen angel does for her little demon and her love for books.
