Summary: Lanzhu surprises Shioriko going to the school to the announcement of the second School Idol Festival, but also to see her and show her that she missed her, although not without making her jealous before.
Shioriko/Lanzhu
It's good to be back
Shioriko just ended up handing a couple of pamphlets of the School Idol Club's presentation to a pair of girls, when she turns around and finds herself face to face with a familiar pink haired girl.
- Can I have one too? – the pink haired girl says cheerfully, tilting her head with a mischievous grin on her face and Shioriko can only blink, also handing her a pamphlet.
- Of course.
She says quietly, still shocked to see her childhood friend in front of her.
Sure, she already knew Lanzhu has landed in Japan, Lanzhu told her via text, but she wasn't expecting her to go to the announcement of the second School Idol Festival, and much less already wearing the school's uniform.
- You look surprised. I told you that I was back.
Lanzhu comments in a lively way, bringing a soft smile to Shioriko's lips.
- Well, I wasn't expecting you to actually come to the announcement, especially wearing the school's uniform.
- Do I look good in it?
Lanzhu giggles and asks her teasingly, twirling and Shioriko can't help but look at her with a soft smile on her face, noticing how well the black shirt and red sweater suits her, the way they stand out her pale skin and long pink hair.
- You know you look good in anything, Lanzhu – Shioriko answers calmly, complimenting her and eliciting a giggle from Lanzhu.
- Such a flatterer, but it's good to hear you saying that because there are some girls I'd like to meet – Shioriko furrows her brow before she sees Lanzhu winking at her – Could you lead me to the School Idol Club?
Shioriko then can't help but blink surprised, truly thinking she was the one Lanzhu was there to meet, until she hears her saying that, feeling somehow disappointed and confused.
- Sure.
She says quietly, already turning around to head towards the club with Lanzhu hot on her heels.
As soon as they spot Ayumu in the distance, Lanzhu yells and begins to run towards her.
- I found you!
- Please don't run through the... hallways...
Shioriko trails off as she watches her childhood friend launching onto the pinkish brown haired girl, making the box she was carrying in her arms drop to the floor, and almost making her fall too.
She can't help but stare at the scene developing in front of her with an expression of bewilderment adorning her face upon seeing Lanzhu hugging Ayumu so carefree.
- I've been wanting to meet you! I came to Nijigasaki High School from Hong Kong as a short-term exchange student so that I could be a school idol! It's a pleasure to meet you!
Shioriko can't help the feeling of jealousy creeping up to her, irking her the way Lanzhu seems so friendly towards a complete stranger but can't act in the same way to her childhood friend.
She squares her jaw at what she's witnessing, crumpling the pamphlets she has on her hand by accident, before she takes a deep breath to calm down and turns around to keep helping with the organization of the event and the distribution of the pamphlets.
What Shioriko doesn't notice it's that a certain pink haired girl has been watching her reaction attentively, grinning slyly before she detaches herself from Ayumu.
- Sorry, I'll visit the club in a bit.
Lanzhu apologizes in a rush, leaving Ayumu and Yuu dumbfounded behind her to start running after the dark green haired girl to take her by the hand by surprise, and pull her into a nearby and empty classroom, closing the door behind them before she pins said girl against it.
- L-Lanzhu!
Shioriko stammers surprised by the sudden motion, the pamphlets in her hand flying away while she sees Lanzhu grinning before her, and she struggles to release herself from her grip.
- Lanzhu, let me go, I have to keep with my duties at the student council.
Shioriko says bothered now by her childhood friend's actions, seeing Lanzhu grinning widely before she takes a step closer.
- Oh, do you? Or it's just an excuse to leave because you're jealous?
Lanzhu says slyly, making Shioriko grumble and show her cute little fang.
- Why should I? – she retorts on the defensive, looking away while Lanzhu giggles and releases her from her grip to encircle her neck with her arms and pull her closer.
- You're right, there's no reason for you to be jealous – Lanzhu purrs, obliging her to look back at her, looking into one another eyes before she shortens their negligible distance and kisses her.
Shioriko can only sigh before she reciprocates the kiss, and then, as soon as the pull away, she clears her throat, a visible blush tinting her cheeks.
- I-I should go back to keep handing the pamphlets and helping with the event – she mumbles embarrassed at her childhood friend's spontaneity, eliciting another giggle from Lanzhu.
- Sure. I wouldn't want to get you in troubles.
Lanzhu says teasingly, not making any motion to let Shioriko go, before the other girl sighs and surrounds her waist to pull her into another kiss.
- Whatever, now really, let me go.
Shioriko says even though she's the one now not letting Lanzhu go, making the pink haired girl smile and kiss her one last time before they finally let one another go.
- Don't be jealous, you're the only one for me – Lanzhu says, winking at her as she watches Shioriko crouching to gather the pamphlets on the floor and then open the door to leave with a hard blush tinting her cheeks.
Lanzhu can't help but giggle as she watches her walk off, touching her lips as a smirk adorns them.
- It's good to be back.
