Summary: Nana, upon finding her girlfriend hunched over the student council's desk, can't help but try to persuade her stubborn and feverish girlfriend to let her help her with paperwork.

Burning up

The letters of the document in front of her begin to blurry, obliging Shioriko to blink a couple of times before she looks back at it and finishes reading it, signing the petition of one of the thousands of clubs they have in the school.

She lets out a heavy sigh and piles it up with the rest of the already finished and approved paperwork stack she has next to her, before she takes another document in her hands ready to read it.

Once again, the letters on it begin to blurry, obliging her to shut her eyes and pinch the bridge of her nose for a brief moment hoping this can help her in any way, when a sudden wave of dizziness hits her and Shioriko can't help but rest on top of the desk, hoping this will help her to feel any better.

As she rests hunched over the desk with her eyes closed waiting for the dizziness to go away so she can go back to work on the paperwork she still needs to finish, Shioriko doesn't notice sleep slowly taking over her.

When Nana enters the student council room, she finds Shioriko hunched over the paperwork covering the desk, finding the sight in front of her strange yet terribly cute.

- Don't tell me you fell asleep?

She asks quietly, giggling upon not getting any answer in return.

Nana smiles fondly and approaches the sleeping student council president, staring at Shioriko's peaceful sleeping face for a while before she brings a hand to caress her cheek.

She then furrows her brow confused and moves her hand up to place it over Shioriko's forehead.

- You're burning up – she exhales worriedly, shaking carefully Shioriko out of her sleep – Shioriko.

She calls the other girl's name softly, seeing her eyes fluttering open with evident confusion flashing in them.

- Nana? – Shioriko croaks out, blinking repeatedly – What…?

- Let's get you home, you're burning up and need to rest – Nana says softly as she caresses Shioriko's cheek, feeling the younger girl leaning into her touch.

- But I still have a lot of paperwork to fill in.

Shioriko whines while Nana can only huff at her girlfriend's stubbornness, sitting on Shioriko's lap to prevent her from going back to work as well as she involuntarily makes the both of them blush.

- Shioriko, you have fever. So either you let me take you back home so you can rest properly, or I'm taking your position as student council president.

Shioriko can only groan and lean forward to rest her head against Nana's chest, hugging her by the waist as she lets he girlfriend comb her hair softly.

- Fine, you win.

Nana can only smile triumphantly, before she cups her stubborn girlfriend's cheeks to then peck her lips. She feels Shioriko smiling tiredly against her lips, before they get up from the chair and gather all the paperwork over the desk together so she can take it home with her and help Shioriko with it.

- You have a lot of paperwork.

Nana can't help but point out as they head out of the school hand in hand, walking through the streets towards the younger girl's house.

- We have a lot of clubs – Shioriko exhales heavily, making Nana chuckle because she's right, they have indeed a lot of clubs, some of them really pointless if she might add.

Soon, they reach Shioriko's house.

- Now go and get some rest, I'll take care of the rest of the paperwork at home.

- Nana…

Shioriko begins to complain before Nana places a finger against her lips, cutting her girlfriend off.

- You really need to rest Shio, so please, let me take care of the paperwork just for this time.

Nana says as she cups Shioriko's cheek again, feeling her leaning into her touch while sighing.

- Fine, but just this time.

Nana giggles at her girlfriend's reticence and looks around them before she closes the distance between them and kisses Shioriko sweetly.

- Now please rest so you feel better tomorrow and can help me with the paperwork – Nana says in a light mood and Shioriko can only chuckle.

- I will, but promise me that you'll take it easy – Shioriko answers softly, making Nana being the one chuckling this time.

- I will.

Nana promises her, kissing the younger girl briefly again before she turns around to go back to her house. Shioriko can only smile at her girlfriend's care and concern and get inside her own house to rest.

The following day, Shioriko feels better and ready to look over the clubs' paperwork with the invaluable help of Nana.
