The Multiverse is vast, with unlimited possibilities. However, what if one of these worlds broke the code and is slowly beginning to grow out of control? The Overseers of the Multiverse have decided to activate the Champion Initiative. The question is: will these Champions be able to save the Multiverse? Crossworld pairings, altered Fairy Tail Canon.

2. Chapter 2: Welcome to Fairy Tail!

Sup, my readers! It's the 3rd dragneel, returning with the second chapter of Fairy Tail: War Beyond Worlds. I hope you guys are doing well. I'm doing well, what with me getting my drivers permit and school coming around the corner. Yeah, I said I wouldn't know when the next chapter would be posted, but I had the old chapters in my file and I thought 'why not update it to fit this story?' Last time, I was only able to reach the Eisenwald arc, so it might take longer to reach the other arcs, but I promise I'll do as much as I can.

UltimateAvengers: I know, right? We'll definitely see some of Stardust's forms in this story.

DB-20: Trust me, this version will be better.

Kamen Rider W: It may not be the greatest, but it'll definitely be entertaining. I will see if I can make it good with the plot.

So to recap, the Overseers of the Multiverse, seeing the growing threat of Ankhseram, decide to activate the Champion Initiative. One of the Overseers, Talion, chose Yusei Fudo of New Domino City as his Champion and sent him to Hargeon, where he encountered Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia and Happy the cat, The group were then able to defeat Bora the Prominence for his crimes before they were forced to run away from the Rune Knights.

How will Yusei tell his new friends about where he's from? Let's find out.

'Outside of Hargeon'

"Let…..me…..off….." Natsu moaned while trying his best not to vomit all over Yusei's red vehicle. The four were able to get a good distance from the Rune Knights and Hargeon via Yusei's Runner.

"I think we're far enough from those knights to stop." Yusei said as he slowed down his Runner before stopping completely. He lifted the arm controls, allowing Natsu to fall face first on the ground. "Are you okay Natsu?"

"It's just his motion sickness keeping him down. Just give him some time." Happy said while sitting on top of the runner, munching on the fish.

"What is this thing, Yusei? I've never seen anything like this in Earthland." Lucy said in awe as she traced her hand on the side. Yusei couldn't tell her about New Domino, but it looked like he might. For now, he had to come up with a lie.

"It's called a Runner from where I'm from. I actually built this from scrap with the help of a few friends." Yusei confessed as he removed his helmet. He wasn't lying about that last part. It was through Riley, Tanner, Blitz and Nervin's teamwork that he was able to build the vehicle in front of him. Just thinking about those memories brought a smile to his face.

"That sucked so much." Natsu muttered while getting up and looked at Yusei. "Hey pal, what was that magic back there? You brought that wheel guy out to fight, then had that awesome punch." A big grin appeared on Natsu's face as he held a flame coated fist at Yusei. Hey, let's go a few rounds!"

"What does this do?" Happy jumped on the dashboard and pressed a small red button.

"Duel disk ejection activate." The AI on Yusei's Runner said while taking out Yusei's duel disk, much to the wizard's shock.

"Woah, awesome….." Natsu and Happy said in unison, staring at the Duel Disk in awe. Lucy also looked at the device before she turned towards Yusei.

"Yusei?" She asked.

"Got any advise Stardust?" Yusei asked his Ace Monster mentally.

"I suppose it wouldn't help lying to them." Stardust said while scratching his chin before sighing. "Talion did say we may meet worthy allies, so perhaps Natsu and Lucy are the ones. You may tell them as much as you want. I will support your decision."

"Okay, I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you." Yusei closed his eyes for a second before giving them a serious stare. "I'm….. from another world."

"Eh?" Yusei's trio of new friends tilted their heads in confusion.

"I guess I should start from the beginning." Yusei said while rubbing the back of his head. "I'm from a world called Earth. Unlike this world, technology's a lot more advanced, like my Duel Runner. I was born in a place called New Domino City and I'm a duelist." He then went on to explain what a duelist was, some of the technology in New Domino, and even a little about his own life. Natsu, Lucy and Happy listened quietly, not interrupting him once. "So, that's all I have to say." They just looked at him with a blank expression, though he did expect this. It wasn't everyday that someone from another world came to explain everything they know. Before Yusei could talk….. they began to laugh.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Natsu and Lucy clutched their guts while Happy fell on the ground, rolling while laughing. The Head Signer sweatdropped a bit at their reaction, yet waited until they stopped.

"Oh man, that was freaking funny." Natsu said while wiping a tear out of his eye.

"I'm sorry, you were telling us where you were from, but motorcycles, card games? It's kinda hard to believe." Lucy added with a smile. "You can tell us the truth Yusei."

'If only it was that simple.' Yusei thought with a light sigh. "I wasn't joking about what I said. I really am from another world."

"Prove it." Happy countered with his paw raised high. Natsu looked at Yusei, who tried to think of a way to prove to them he was serious, but couldn't tell them about Talion.

"Maybe try using your duel disk."Stardust suggested, getting a mental nod from his duelist. Yusei walked towards his Runner and connected his left arm to the duel disk. He then took out a card and placed it in the monster slot. A small pink bird with red boots and big green eyes appeared in front of him, getting an 'awww' from Lucy.

"Try touching her." Yusei suggested. Lucy walked up to Sonic Chick and to her surprise(and slight disappointment), her hand phased through.

"Is this illusion magic?" Lucy questioned curiously. Yusei shook his head before deactivating his duel disk, making his monster disappear.

"That is a hologram, a realistic image of duel monsters to make them seem really when playing the game. When I came here, it looked like I was given magic that brought my cards to life." Yusei then gave them a serious look. "Does that prove me right?" Lucy and Happy were still a bit skeptical, but Natsu was staring at Yusei's eyes, black one meeting blue ones. Even though he wasn't very good at it, Natsu could tell Yusei wasn't lying.

"Alright, I trust ya." He said with a toothy grin.

"How Natsu?" Happy asked while landing Natsu's head.

"Cause he doesn't look like he's lying." Natsu's grin grew a bit. "Plus, he did help us against that bastard, so he's a good guy in my book."

"Thanks Natsu." Yusei said with a small smile.

"If Natsu trusts you, then so will I!" The blue feline declared while raising his paw in the air.

"You did save me from those goons, so I'll trust you too." Lucy said with her own smile.

"It looks like you were able to make new friends. No surprise there."Stardust said with a proud smile.

"Thank guys, I appreciate it." Yusei said with a smile.

"But what are you going to do now that you're here?" Lucy asked. Yusei actually widened his eyes a bit. He had absolutely no idea where he was gonna live, how he was gonna look for other Champions or even how to find Ankhersam and his allies.

"I honestly don't know." Yusei admitted sheepishly. It was embarrassing to admit, but he had to be honest. Maybe there a job he could do in the meanwhile.

"Hey, maybe gramps could help you!" Natsu declared loudly.

"Gramps?" Yusei gave Natsu a raised brow.

"Master Makarov is the Guildmaster of Fairy Tail. He knows a lot of stuff, so maybe he could help you." Happy explained before a smile grew on his face. "Maybe you can join us with Loppy!"

"It's Lucy, you dumb cat!" Lucy began giving Happy a hard noogie, making Natsu laugh a bit.

"Yusei, it may not be the worst idea to go with them." Stardust said, getting a nod from Yusei.

"I guess I could check out the place. How far is it?" Yusei asked as he sat back down on his Duel Runner, causing Natsu to go green.

"Please tell me we aren't riding that thing." Natsu groaned.

"Well we can't have Yusei pushing this thing around because you get a little sick." Lucy said with her hands on her hips. However, she was surprised to see Yusei turning off his Runner.

"It's fine Lucy, I'm used to pushing this up whenever if broke down." Yusei said as he looked at the dashboard and noticed an unusual button on the far right. "I never installed this." Curious, Yusei pressed the button, engulfing his Runner in a bright light. When it died out, Yusei and the other gasped as he was now holding a card with an image of his runner. "How?"

"Yusei, look at this." Happy caught a piece of paper that appeared when the light appeared and gave it to the Signer.

Dear Yusei,

I see you were able to get to Earthland safely. I apologize for not giving you a specific location, but I trust you've found a safe place to stay for the time being. For now, you should get used to your new home. How long you will be there, I do not know. Rest assured, I will make sure your friends in New Domino are safe. We will make contact soon.

Sincerely, Talion.

P.S. I apologize for not sending your Runner with you, but to make it up to you, I installed a button that transforms your ride to a card. To activate it once more, just say 'Duel Runner' and it will appear.

Yusei couldn't help but sweatdrop a bit at the note. Talion, an Overseer, a being who was supposedly superior to the Gods, forgot something so simple. At least it'd make things easier to reach places. "This is just a reminder of my Runner's systems." He said while crumbling up the paper and pocketing it. "You know the way to Fairy Tail?"

"Yup, let's go!" With that, Natsu sprinted forward, signalling Lucy and Yusei to follow.

'Era, the next day'

"Those damn fools at Fairy Tail have done it again!" Org, the head councilman said to his associates.

"They've destroyed half of the Hargeon Harbor!"

"I actually like those bunch of idiots." A young man with blue hair and a red tattoo over his eye said. He wore a long white frock-coat with black stripes across the edges and on the upper part of the arms, a decorated standing collar, large strips connected to decorated buckles closing the inducement on the front over a dark shirt and matching pants and shoes. The man was known as Siegrain, and he had a calm, yet mysterious smile on his face. "Though they are destructive, let us not forget that they are wizards with talent and ability."

"This was just today! What about the hundreds of other cases?!" Another member said in outrage as Siegrain smirked.

"Nevertheless, their success is nothing but exceptional. I say let them do as they please, otherwise our world would be boring." The other council members began to let out frustrated shouts, though on was giggling. She was a young, well endowed woman with pale skin, purple hair, red eyes and wore a white kimono with only one sleeve. The woman, known as Ultear, placed a hand on her cheek while also giving a mysterious smile.

"Despite your claims, Fairy Tail has proven to hold some of the strongest wizards in all of Fiore. To limit them would be to cut our strength down." A new voice called out. The speaker wore a simple black hood, though as they raised their head, everyone could catch a glimpse of their midnight black hair and amber eyes, though only his left eye was visible.

"Kane, why do you insist on supporting Fairy Tail? They will bring this Magic Council down if they're allowed to roam free!" Many of the other members of the Council began to speak out, only for Org to tap his staff on the ground, silencing them.

"Enough." Org said in a stern tone. "Though I agree that Fairy Tail are a band of misfits, as long as they continue to benefit Fiore, they will stay operational… for now. Meeting adjourned." And with that, the members of the Council began to exit the room. Siegrain and Ultear, along with Kane were the only ones that remained back.

"My, you really know how to rile those fools inside." Ultear said to her allies with a giggle. "But I am surprised you spoke out, Kane. You're usually so silent in these meetings."

"The longer I stay quiet, the more I have to listen to those fools complain." Kane said with a disgusted tone. "Are the plans in motion?"

"Yes. Soon, the relic will be stolen and the Guildmasters will be eliminated." Siegran said with a dark smile. "I hope you can meet with our deal, Kane."

"Do not worry about such a thing. Your reward will come soon enough…. Jellal." Kane said with a knowing tone before he exited the room.

"Can we trust him?" Ultear asked, her smile disappearing as a serious expression took its place.

"For now, we will. But in the event he betrays us…" Siegrain leaned towards Ultear's ear in order to whisper his sentence. "You have my permission to kill him."

"With pleasure." Ultear said with a nod.

But little did the two of them know….. Kane was listening the whole time.

'With Yusei and the others'

After taking some time to walk, the group had finally made it to Magnolia, which was bustling with shops and restaurants, much to Lucy's shock and joy. Yusei was a bit impressed, though he didn't show it until he set his eyes on a large building with a banner that said 'Fairy Tail' on top. 'This has to be the guild, right?' Yusei mentally asked himself as Natsu stood in front of him and Lucy with a massive grin.

"You guys ready?" He asked in joy.

"YES!" Lucy cheered as they nodded.

"Then welcome to Fairy Tail!" Natsu turned around and kicked the doors opened, much to their shock. "WE'RE BACK!" Yusei noticed the members inside wearing unique clothes giving Natsu and Happy greetings.

"I can sense a lot of magic and compassion from each of these people Yusei."Stardust said as Natsu walked up to a table where a buck-toothed male was sitting.

"Hey Natsu. I heard ya caused a mess of things at Hargeon. Geez, you don't know how to-" The man was cut off when Natsu jumped towards him...and kicked him square in the face, sending him flying. Yusei and Lucy widened their eyes in shock.

"You dick! That information you gave me about Salamander was a fake!" Natsu roared angrily as the man stood up, an irritated glare on his face.

"How was I supposed to know? It was a rumor!" The man retorted.

"That was a rumor?!" Natsu replied with even more anger.

"You wanna go?!" With that, the two began to fight, dragging the others in the guild in their conflict. Tables began to get knocked over, drinks and food fell on the wooden floor, and more and more people were getting involved in the brawl.

'This…..is different.' Yusei thought as one little argument could lead to an all out brawl. Sure he had gotten in a few fights back in the Satellite, but this was a little much.

"W-wow, I can't believe I'm actually in Fairy Tail." Lucy muttered with a small blush on her cheeks, getting Yusei to sweatdrop.

"So, Natsu's back huh?" A black haired teen said out loud as he walked towards the brawl. He was moderately tall with spiky hair and dark blue eyes. He had a toned and muscular body, though he was only wearing black underwear with a silver necklace that had a small sword in the middle around his neck. "Come here and fight my Natsu, we've got a score to settle!" The male said while cracking his knuckles.

"Gray, your clothes." A brown-haired woman said in a flat tone with several barrels of beer next to her. She had long brown hair that reached her back, violet eyes and a slim figure. Her clothing consisted of a blue bikini top that made her voluptuous body stick out, capri pants with two bands hanging from each leg, two metal bracelets that covered her right and left bicep and a pair of high heeled sandals. The newly dubbed 'Gray' freaked out for a second as he turned towards the female.

"I don't have time for that, Cana!" Gray shouted.

"*sigh* This is why I don't date the men here, they have no class." The woman known as 'Cana' said before lifting a barrel….. And drinking the contents like it was nothing.

'How the hell can she drink all that without getting alcohol poisoning?' Yusei thought in bewilderment. People in this world must have high tolerance to alcohol.

"You're all out here whining when it's not even noon!" A stoic man stated from the sidelines. He was tall with white hair that was styled upwards and a pair of blue eyes. His body was very muscular in nature, with a scar that ran down his right eye. His attire consisted of a high collared dark blue jacket with a purple inside, a pair of loose pants and a simple belt holding them together. "I'll show you how a real man fights!" He exclaimed….only for Natsu and Gray to punch him away like nothing.

'This just keeps getting weirder and weirder by the second.' Lucy thought with a sweatdrop.

"Man, things are sure noisy." A smooth, confident voice trailed. Both Yusei and Lucy turned to see a man with spiky orange hair, a pair of sunglasses and two ladies on each of his respective sides. He seemed like a stereotypical ladies man as he fixed his glasses….. Only for a wooden mug to hit him in the head, much to his annoyance as he looked at his girls. "I'm gonna fight now, but only for you two."

"Good luck Loke!" The females said in unison before the man left. At this point, the entire guild began to fight, though it was only fist to fist, with the occasional kick, but no magic. However, what surprised Lucy and Yusei was the fact everyone looked like they were having fun rather than having an actual argument.

"These people certainly are interesting." Stardust commented while watching things unfold.

"Hello, can I help you?" A very sweet feminine voice asked behind the duo. They turned around, only for their eyes to be greeted by a breathtakingly beautiful young woman. She had long white hair that curled slightly at the ends with some of it covering her forward and an upward ponytail on top. She had captivating blue eyes, a curvy voluptuous body with large breasts and a genuine smile that would make any guy feel like he was staring at an angel. She wore a sleeveless ankle length maroon dress with a pleated skirt complete with a large pink bow that adorned her chest and a pair of high heels. Yusei had to admit, she was one of the most beautiful women he had ever met, coming second to Akiza. He looked towards Lucy and raised a brow as she was shell shocked at the female in front of them.

"I-I-It's Mirajane, in the flesh!" She exclaimed like a fangirl. From her tone, he could tell this woman was famous. The female giggled a bit with a small blush.

"Come with me to the bar and I can help if you need anything." She offered warmly while gesturing the two to follow, which they did. Aside from some quick dodging, the trip to the bar was okay, at best. The female stood on the opposite side of the bar while cleaning a series of glasses, all while smiling. "They sure are lively today."

"Umm, shouldn't we do something?" Lucy asked while watching the brawl grow.

"I usually just prefer to let them have their fun. What they do is fairly normal around here." Mirajane said like it was nothing.

"Hmmm, normal wouldn't be a word I'd use." Yusei muttered, getting the woman to giggle. He paused for a second before catching a vase that was about to hit Mira, much to the female's shock. Since the Satellite wasn't exactly the safest place to live, it was only natural Yusei would pick up some instinct.

"Oh my, what instincts you have. Could it be you two wish to join the guild?" Her question caused the blonde to perk up.

"Yes!" Lucy squeaked in joy, getting Mira to giggle before she glanced at Yusei, who was in a thoughtful state.

'Stardust, what do you think of this place?' Yusei questioned Stardust.

"While it does seem….very different than where we're from, I can see these people have a good heart."Stardust said, getting a nod from his duelist. Before Mira had a chance to ask him, the spiky haired Signer pulled Lucy close to him, making her 'eepp' in surprise as Gray, the naked teen, crashed into her seat.

"Lucy, you okay?" Yusei asked with some concern. Lucy looked up at him and couldn't help but blush as the close proximity.

"Y-yeah, thanks Yusei." She quickly backed up and turned to her seat, only to cover her eyes as Gray was naked.

"Dammit Natsu, give me back my damn shorts!" Gray shouted at Natsu, who was twirling his underwear like a frisbee.

"Aww, what's wrong ice prick, you lost your clothes?" Natsu taunted, getting a glare from Gray as the latter began to summon a light blue magic circle in his palm.

"You guys are bothering my drinking." The brown haired drinker said while raising a card that began to glow.

"It's time to show you how a real man fights!" The tall white haired male exclaimed before his right arm turned to a bear claw.

"Honestly, you idiots annoy me." The orange haired bachelor said as his rings began to glow.

"Alright, bring it-!" Before Natsu could finish, a large foot suddenly appeared and crushed him, much to Yusei and Lucy's shock.

"YOU DAMN BRATS, I'M SICK OF SEEING YOU FIGHT EVERY DAMN DAY!"A voice boomed all over the guildhall. Lucy looked up in horror as a giant figure stood from the second floor. Yusei narrowed his eyes as he stood in front of Lucy.

"Oh, you're here Master." Mira asked with a bright smile.

"M-Master?!" The blonde cried out before she almost pissed herself as the giant turned towards her and Yusei.

"OH, A NEW RECRUIT?" To their shock, the giant began to shrink until he became an extremely short, elderly man. He had black eyes, white hair and a large bald spot on the top of his head. He wore a white shirt with a black Fairy Tail stamp in the middle under an orange hoodie. His attire was complete with matching orange shorts and an orange and blue jester hat. He raised his hand in a small salute before speaking. "Nice to meet you."

"He's so tiny!" Lucy cried out as Yusei just looked at him with a relaxed stance.

'Hmm, I guess there's no surprise there's someone who can grow.' He thought as he watched the man begin to flip back in the air…. only to hit his head on the second story railing. He then shrugged it off while standing on top of the railing, getting sweatdrops from everyone.

"You idiots have done it again this time! Just look at the papers the Magic Council sent me!" The short man shouted while taking out a large stack of papers before reading off some of the contents. "Gray! After you finished wiping out a smuggling organization, you wandered the city completely naked!"

"So, I should have just stayed naked?" Gray muttered, getting Yusei to sweatdrop.

"Elfman, you attacked the person you're supposed to protect!"

"H-he said men are all about education." The large man, now known as Elfman, said while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Cana! Stop charging the Council for your drinks!"

"Damn, they found out." The drinker muttered while drinking another barrel. The old man noticed Natsu was trying to sneak away.

"Oh and finally you, Natsu!" The pink haired male froze in place before turning to the short man. "You destroyed half a port yesterday!"

"Well, to be fair…" Natsu pointed towards his new friends. "They also had a part in destroying that place."

"Don't blame us!" Lucy shouted, hoping that she could still join the Guild. Yusei simply stayed silent. It wasn't like he could do much to justify what he did.

"However….." Yusei and Lucy widened their eyes in shock as Makarov suddenly burned the papers and threw they to the side, allowing Natsu to eat the flames. "To hell with what the Council says! Magic isn't some kind of miraculous power. It is a talent that only works when the flow of energy inside of us and the flow of energy in the natural world are in perfect synchronization. Don't let those blowhards on the Council scare you, follow the path you believe in. Because that's what makes Fairy Tail number 1!" He finished his speech while pointing his right hand up in the air with his index finger extending and his thumb pointing out. Everyone cheered as they did the same, symbolizing their trust in one another. Lucy had never heard of such a speech, tears threatened to fall down her cheeks as she smiled. Yusei himself looked at the old man in respect with a small smile on his face. Since he had never had a father to give him such a speech, hearing something like that was truly amazing.

"As I said Yusei, these are good people."Stardust said with his own smile as the old man jumped onto the bar.

"That was an amazing speech as always Master." Mira said while handing the man a mug, which he took.

"Thank you Mirjane, and who are these two?" The Master asked curiously.

"My name's Lucy Heartfilia, and I'd love nothing more than to join your guild!" Lucy practically begged, making the old man chuckle.

"Don't worry my dear, we would be happy if you joined!" Yusei just watched as Lucy began to happily dance around the room, making him chuckle lightly since she kinda reminded him of Leo. "And who might you be, my boy?"

"I'm Yusei Fudo, sir." He replied with a respectful tone.

"A fine name, young man. By the way Mira, could you please give our newest recruit her Guild Mark?" Makarov asked the white haired beauty.

"Of course Master." Mira began looking for a small stamp as Yusei continued to talk to Makarov.

"My boy, will you also be joining us?" Makarov asked curiously. It wasn't that Yusei WASN'T interested in joining, but he did want to see a bit of the guild more before his decision was made.

"Sorry sir, but Natsu told me about your guild and I want to see it for a bit before making a decision." Yusei said solemnly. The old man nodded in understanding. Some people were harder to convince than others, and he was a patient man. Plus, he'd like to get to know Yusei a little since he seemed like an interesting person.

"So Lucy, what color would you want your guild mark and where?" Mira asked with a smile as she held up a stamp with the Fairy Tail insignia on it.

"On my right hand, and pink please." The white haired beauty nodded before pressing the small stamp on her hand, allowing her to receive the guild mark. "Wow….. Yusei look, Mira put my guild mark on my hand!"

"That's good Lucy, I'm happy for you." The Signer said with a smile as she gently touched her hand as if the mark would disappear by the simplest touch.

"Is my dad back yet?" Yusei and Lucy turned to see a small boy with short dark purple hair, blue eyes and standard clothes walking up to Makarov.

"You're starting to get on my nerves Romeo. Your father's a wizard, so have faith in him and wait." Makarov said in an annoyed tone

"But he said he'd be back in three days...but that was ten days ago!" The newly identified 'Romeo' said with tears in his eyes.

"If I remember correctly, he took the job on Mount Hakobe." Makarov thought out loud.

"That's right, it's not far from here, so why isn't anyone going to look for him?" Romeo practically begged. Yusei could feel slight pity for the child as he was always worried about Martha, especially when he and the other Signers fought against the Dark signers.

"Listen kid, you're a wizard's son and like a wizard, he could take care of himself!"

"B-But-"

"Look, just go home and have come milk and cookies, and wait!" Makarov said while drinking from his mug. While most people would assume his words were rather cruel, Yusei could tell Makarov was just trying to calm the kid down. The boy sniffled a bit before glaring at the old man.

"JERK!" Romeo reeled his fist back and went in for a punch…..When Yusei caught his wrist. "Huh?"

"I might not know your dad, but I know he wouldn't want you to hit others just because you're scared." Yusei said in a calm tone as he kneeled down to Romeo's level. "Your name's Romeo, right?"

"Y-Yes, I'm Romeo Conbolt." The boy said timedly.

"Well Romeo, why don't you tell me where this Mount Hakobe is and I can go get your dad?" The little boy and even some of the guildmates looked at him in shock. The stranger Natsu brought in was offering to look for their missing friend. Something most of them wanted to do, but couldn't because it would hurt Macao's pride.

"Yusei, are you sure you want to do this?" Mira asked in a slightly concerned tone as he turned towards her with a serious expression.

"I'm not gonna stand by and let a kid worry about his father. If I can do something to help, then I will." Mirajane, Natsu, Lucy, Happy and Makarov gave him a smile of appreciation. To think he arrived in the Guild just a few minutes ago and already, he was offering to help find one of their members.

"Mount Hakobe is a two hour carriage ride from here, here's a map." Makarov reached into his jacket and handed Yusei a map. Yusei nodded before looking back at Romeo. "Good luck, my boy."

"Thank you." Yusei gave Makarov a nod before turning back to Romeo. "I'm going to get your dad back. Just wait at home, okay?" The boy wiped the tears in his eyes before giving Yusei a big smile.

"Okay mister…."

"Call me Yusei." He stood up and walked out the guild.

"Huh, who was that guy?"

"I don't know, but why would he do that?"

"Ten jewels says he gets lost."

"Master, you know if someone goes to get Macao, it'll only hurt his pride."

*SMASH*

A loud bang suddenly echoed in the Guildhall. Everyone turned to see Natsu punching the job request board. "Natsu, what the hell?!" Nab asked in anger, though Natsu ignored him as he got his pack.

"Happy." Natsu said with a serious tone.

"Right!" Happy sprouted his wings before he flew towards Natsu, landing on his shoulder. The two then walked out of the Guild without so much as a goodbye.

"Hey Mira, why is Natsu going too?" Lucy asked Mira, who was cleaning a mug with a sad smile.

"Well you see, Natsu kinda understands what Romeo's going through since his father left him when he was young. As a baby, Natsu was left alone in the woods, with no one to care for him as his own...until a dragon came that day." Mira explained.

"A DRAGON?!"

"Yes, Natsu told us how the dragon Igneel raised him as his own: teaching him his magic, how to read and so on. But then...he just left him, without an information. I guess Natsu doesn't want Romeo to feel the same way. It's kinda cute if you think about it." Mira finished explaining while putting the mug down. Lucy looked at the guild doors, wondering what she should do. After a few seconds, she got a determined expression and bolted out to catch up to her friends.

'An hour later'

"Someone….please…..kill me…." Natsu moaned as he was lying on his left side, holding his stomach as his face was green. He, Happy and Lucy were able to catch up with Yusei and were now on their way to Mt. Hakobe…..unfortunately, the only way to get there was by carriage.

"Wow, he really does have bad motion sickness." Lucy said in awe as she and Yusei were sitting across from the suffering dragon slayer.

"Aye! Just looking at a vehicle makes Natsu go green." Happy said while munching on a fish as the blonde sweatdropped.

"That doesn't sound good." As they were talking, Yusei was lost in his thoughts while looking out the window, taking in the view.

"It really is a peaceful world, isn't it Yusei?" Stardust said telepathically to his duelist.

"Yeah, even with all the magic and stuff, Earthland is still able to stay in peace. I kinda wished New Domino followed this belief." He thought before feeling a hand on his shoulder, causing him to turn towards Lucy.

"Yusei, are you okay?" Lucy asked in concern.

"Yeah, just thinking." Yusei said simply. Lucy could tell he was telling the truth judging by his expression. It was understandable from what he told her about his world. To think such a world would have such technology was baffling.

"Ummm, Yusei? I wanna know….why did you agree to help that boy?" Lucy asked curiously.

"I guess there's nothing wrong with telling you a little about myself." He turned his body so he was facing the three before speaking. "For one thing, I'm not an ordinary person."

"What do you mean Yusei?" Happy tilted his head in confusion before Yusei rolled up his sleeve and removed his glove, allowing his Crimson Dragon mark to be seen.

"This is called the Mark of the Crimson Dragon, an ancient being that was sealed away eons ago. In order to rise again, the Crimson Dragon was split into five different people. I'm one of them." He closed his eyes a bit before opening them again. "My father, as well as his colleagues Roman and Rex were working on something called the Ener-D project to try and harness this power for the good of mankind. But…...an accident happened." He then told them about how the core was overloading, causing a massive explosion, killing hundreds of people, as well as separate Domino city. "I was a baby when the reactor was overloading, so my dad…..he sent me away so I wouldn't get caught in the blast. That was the last I ever saw of my father…." Yusei clenched his fist a bit before sighing. "I didn't want Romeo to worry about his father, so that's why I chose to go and get him. Family should stick together." He looked up and gasped quietly as Lucy and Happy were both crying while Natsu gave him a look of sympathy. Before he could say anything, Lucy wrapped her arms around him and pressed her head on his shoulder.

"I….I'm so sorry Yusei. I shouldn't have asked." She said as more tears ran down her cheeks.

"Yeah, we're sorry Yusei!" Happy cried out before flying to the Signer's chest and hugging him as tight as his little paws could. Yusei wasn't much of a hugger, but the fact that they were sympathetic for him was...nice.

"It's alright guys. It was because of my father's sacrifice that I was able to meet Martha, Jack and Crow, as well as the rest of my friends." He gave them a small smile, which they returned. "Thanks, but I don't regret meeting anyone of my friends."

"You….really….should….join….our….guild….you'd….fit….in…" Natsu suggested while holding his vomit.

"I already told the Master I would-" The Head Signer was cut off when the carriage suddenly stopped.

"Sorry, but this is as far as I can take you." The driver said as Natsu immediately stood up.

"Alright, time to go find Macao!" He then grabbed the handles to the door and opened it…. only for some cold wind to hit the group. Lucy looked in shock as Mount Hakobe was actually covered in snow.

"What?!"

"Oh, did we forget to tell you that it always snows here? Our bad." Happy said with a wave of his paw.

'Back at Fairy Tail'

"Hmm." Makarov hummed as he was sitting on the bar with a thoughtful expression. It had been a few hours since Natsu, Happy and those two new people Lucy and Yusei left to Mount Hakobe to find Macao. It did interest him how noble Yusei was, to go and find someone just because their child was worried. He knew that Natsu and him would get along fine.

"Master, is there something wrong?" Mira questioned as she put down the glass she was cleaning.

"Oh, it's nothing my dear, just thinking about that Yusei fellow." The white haired beauty hummed in agreement as she was also curious about Yusei Fudo. Not only were his looks unique, but his serious expression and stoic tone that reminded her of a certain scarlet knight, yet he had a deep care for people She could see it when he pulled Lucy away just as Gray crashed onto the spot she was sitting at. He was a mystery she was going to solve.

"You thinking about his hair due, or his clothes?" Cana suddenly asked from across the bar, drinking from a mug. She and the other members of the guild were also curious about Yusei, mostly his appearance, I mean, how does someone keep their hair like that?! He seemed like an interesting guy in her eyes, especially when he offered to help little Romeo find Macao. It wasn't that she wasn't worried, rather she didn't want his pride to take a big blow."I gotta say, that guy's a mystery."

"I know, but you can never judge a book by it's cover Cana. Who knows, maybe Yusei could bring more to the guild than we could think of, if he decides to join us." The brunette looked at Mira for a second before shrugging and returning to her...barrel. The short man looked at the guild doors while drinking his mug. There was...something else about Yusei that interested him. It was as if he was hiding something, yet he was awfully good at hiding it.

'He may be able to tell me, should he feel comfortable enough that is.' Oh, if they only knew.

'With Yusei and the others'

"It's like a freakin ice storm here!" Lucy shouted as she, Natsu, Happy and Yusei were currently walking through the icy terrain of Mount Hakobe. "Why is there freaking snow in the middle of summer?!"

"Judging by how tall these mountains are, they would always snow, regardless of the weather." Yusei said while taking the lead. He tried to find anything that looked like a human figure, but the snow was too dense to see through.

"It's your own fault for wearing light clothes." Natsu said, a little annoyed by the blonde's complaints. He and the others needed to focus on Macao, yet a little snow bothered her? At least she'd know to stay away from Gray(that, and his constant stripping.)

"You should be talking, how aren't you guys freezing?!" Lucy shouted.

"My dragon slayer magic makes me immune to heat and cold, so I'm good." Natsu said simply.

"I have my amazing fur keeping me warm." Happy said proudly while flying next to Natsu.

"What about you Yusei?" He looked over his shoulder to answer Lucy.

"My duel monsters keep the cold away from me with their energy. As far as I know, I'm fine." Yusei answered. "Thanks again Stardust."

"It's no trouble Yusei, though I can't sense any abnormal energy anywhere." Stardust said as his duelist nodded.

"If you're fine, then at least give me that blanket." Lucy grabbed the red blanket on Natsu's pack before wrapping it around her, though it provided ineffective. "Ugh, this cold is killing me." She then reached into her keys and pulled a silver on out. "Open, gate of the Clock Constellation, Horologium!" Yusei and the guys turned around as Lucy began to summon another spirit. The latter was curious about what other spirits Lucy has at her disposal. A large magic circle appeared before her as a tall brown grandfather clock with an actual face, a thin mustache and long back arms came out.

"So this is Celestial spirit magic…" Yusei asked. Since he was on Bora's ship, he didn't see Lucy summoning Aquarius.

"Woah, a clock!" Natsu said, smiling in amusement.

"Aye, that's so cool!" Happy agreed. However, the three sweatdropped as Lucy was revealed to be inside the clock with the blanket wrapped around her body. She began to say something, but due to the glass, they couldn't hear it.

"WHAT!" Natsu and Happy shouted while cupping their ears.

"She says 'I'm staying in here and I'm not coming out." The clock called Horologium said.

"I suppose that's one way to get away from the cold." Stardust said with a slight chuckle.

"Such a lazy girl." Happy shook his head in disappointment, which Natsu followed.

"Shut up stupid cat, she replied angrily. Besides, how am I supposed to be able to talk to you when I'm inside the clock, she counters."

"Alright….Natsu, what was the job Macao took?" Yusei said in order to get back on topic.

"He came here to slay a Vulcan." Yusei noticed how freaked out Lucy got. It might be safe to assume that these 'Vulcan' were dangerous.

"If you're worried about these things, maybe you should go back to the guild." Lucy looked with wide eyes at the concern Yusei had for her.

"A-are you sure? she asks rather meekly."

"Yeah, we're not going to force you to do something you don't feel comfortable with." Yusei said with understanding eyes. Lucy hid under her blanket to hide the blush.

"Okay, good luck you guys she says in concern." Horologium then turned his body and began to walk back the way they came. Natsu and Happy looked at each other, confused as to what had just occurred in front of them before shrugging and moving forward.

"Natsu, do you have any idea how we'll find Macao?" Yusei asked. The snow was starting to pick up and if they stayed in the middle of it for long, they might end up freezing to death.

"Well the blizzard's making it hard for me to pick up Macao's scent." The Signer raised a brow at his friend's comment, but remembered how Happy told him that Natsu had better senses than a normal person. Speaking of Natsu, he cupped both hands on the sides of his mouth before taking a deep breath. "HEY MACAO, WHERE ARE YOU?!" His voice slightly echoed through the mountains as Yusei sighed a bit. He kinda reminded him of Leo, how he would yell whenever something interesting happened.

"Natsu, I doubt anyone could hear you." Yusei said while patting his friend's shoulder.

"Had to at least try ya know?" Natsu said innocently. "Maybe if I yelled a bit louder-" However, Natsu was cut off when something white appeared in front of him. It was a large white furred, ape-like creature and large arms. It looked like it wanted to crush the three, but luckily, they were fast enough to jump back.

"Is this a Vulcan?" Yusei questioned, eyeing the creature cautiously.

"Hehehehehe…" The creature giggled in a taunting manner. It then charged at Yusei, who barely rolled to the side to dodge it. However, the creature was turning its back towards them, rather it was...running away?

'It's obviously chasing after something, but what?' Yusei looked at the path the Vulcan was running towards while Natsu and Happy looked confused.

"Why'd it run away?" The blue feline asked, getting Yusei to widen his eyes as realization struck him. He wasted no time in running after the Vulcan.

"Yusei, where ya going?!" Natsu shouted in pure confusion.

"Think about it, who else came with us?" It only took Natsu and Happy a few seconds before they understood what he meant and began to run after him.

'With Lucy'

We now see Lucy, still sitting inside Horologium, going down the mountain, back to where she could get a carriage back to Fairy Tail. She did feel guilty for leaving Yusei and the others since she did really want to help. It's just that she was too young to be killed by a Vulcan.

*RRRROOOOAAAARRRRR*

A loud roar echoed from the mountain, causing Horologium to stop.

"W-what was that?" Lucy questioned in fear, unable to see what was going on behind her. Horologium turned his body to face the creature roaring, allowing the Vulcan to press its face against his glass with a perverted smile.

"Me like human woman." It said before picking up the cock while Lucy yelled in panic. It then placed it over its head and began to run off, laughing like an idiotic baboon all the while.

"HHHHEEEEEELLLLPPPPPP! SHE EXCLAIMS QUITE URGENTLY!" The Celestial spirit shouted, mimicking his master's voice volume. The three had just arrived a minute late as the Vulcan took Lucy higher in the mountains.

"Dammit! We were too late." Yusei yelled in anger.

"At least she's still in the clock." Natsu said while patting Yusei on the shoulder.

"Aye! All we have to do is find the lair that Vulcan took her." Happy chimed.

"You really think she'll be there?" Natsu raised a brow at Happy.

"It'd make sense, but the problem now is where exactly its lair could be." Yusei said with his arms crossed.

"Alright, I think we should split up. You go up the mountain while me and Happy go where Lucy was." Natsu suggested, getting a nod from Yusei.

"Yell if you find her." Yusei suggested.

"Got it/Aye!" With that, the three split up.

'Vulcan's lair'

The large ape-like creature was currently laughing like a complete idiot while dancing around Horologium, almost like it was worshipping the blonde inside. "How did I get myself in this mess she said tearfully." Horologium mimicked his master, even letting out some tears to simulate her distress. The Vulcan stopped it's laughing before pressing its head against the glass. 'Thank god I'm still in here.' Lucy thought in relief. As if god was giving her a twist of irony, the clock vanished into the air, allowing Lucy to fall on the icy floor. "Get back here Horologium! You can't leave me with this thing!"

"Sorry, but my time is up…." Horologium's voice echoed in the air.

"Give me an extension!" Lucy cried out.

"Geehee.." The Vulcan slowly began to walk towards Lucy with steam coming out of it's nose while a perverted smile grew on its face. Lucy froze and saw no way she could get out of this shitty situation. But, in a stroke of luck, a certain pinked haired idiot and his annoying cat entered the room.

"Hey, you big ape!" Natsu shouted, getting the Vulcan's attention.

"Natsu!" She yelled in hope.

"Aye, and don't forget about me!" Happy yelled from Natsu's shoulder. Natsu then turned towards the path he had entered.

"HEY YUSEI, I FOUND HER!" The blonde sweatdropped at Natsu's behavior, though if it worked on the Vulcan, it should work for their friend.

"Huh?" The Vulcan looked at the two in confusion.

"Where's Macao, tell me?!" Natsu demanded with his fist reeled back. The ape jumped back to dodge the incoming fist. "Tell me where my friend is you bastard!"

"Huh?"

"You can understand me right? So tell me where Macao is." Natsu said with narrowed eyes.

"Natsu, I doubt he can understand you." Lucy said with a sweatdrop. To their surprise, the Vulcan began to dance, almost as if it was trying to communicate with them. It then began to point towards a hole in the cave.

"See? He's trying to tell me something." Natsu quickly ran towards the hole and poked out his head. "Hey Macao, where are-"

*SMACK*

"AAHHHHH!" Unfortunately, the Vulcan tricked Natsu into going near the hole before sparta kicking the hell out of him, sending him plummeting to his death. Happy quickly activated his wings and went to catch Natsu before anything else.

"Me no like man, me like lady!" It chanted triumphantly, once again dancing like a complete idiot.

"Alright you pervy monkey, you're going down." Lucy gave him a serious glare before taking out a golden key. "Open, gate of the Golden bull, Taurus!" A large magic seal appeared in the air, allowing a humanoid cow with large muscles, black undies and a large battle-axe to land on the ground while moooing.

"Cow?" The Vulcan looked at the spirit in confusion.

"I'm warning you, Taurus is the most powerful spirit I have a contract with." Lucy said confidently.

"Oh wow Ms. Lucy, I almost forgot what a nice figure you have. Why don't you give me a smoooooch?" Taurus said with hearts in his eyes.

"Aww crap, I forgot he's also a big perv." Lucy said with a facepalm.

"No touch my woman!" The Vulcan roared in anger before Taurus turned towards him.

"Your woman? Them's fighting words." He took out his axe and charged towards the Vulcan, who jumped back to dodge the large axe from splitting him in two. Just as Taurus was about to strike again…. another figure came in and kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying. Lucy looked in shock as the culprit was none other than Natsu. Said person looked at the spirit in confusion before staring at the Vulcan.

"Hang on, since when was there two of them?" He questioned in pure confusion.

"Natsu, you idiot! You just knocked out my spirit!" Lucy yelled in anger.

"Wait what?" Natsu said in surprise. The Vulcan stood up and was about to strike Natsu… when a card flew in and cut its cheek.

"Seriously Natsu?" A voice called out from the entrance of the cave. The three turned their heads to see Yusei catching the card he just threw before pocketing it. "How did you wind up just getting here? You were here before me." Yusei said with a raised brow.

"How was I supposed to know? I got pushed out of the cave by this thing!" Natsu pointed at the Vulcan in irritation was Yusei gave him a blank expression.

"You let it trick you easily!" Lucy shouted in an annoyed fashion.

"My miss Lucy...your breasts are amazing…" Taurus muttered dreamily as stars circled around him.

"Me no like man, me like woman!" The Vulcan quickly took Taurus' axe and brought it down to Yusei, who rolled back to dodge it.

"Yusei, get out of there! One hit from that axe and you're done!" Lucy quickly ran towards Taurus and begged him to return to the spirit realm. The Vulcan brought the axe down once again….

*DING*

Everyone looked in awe as Yusei's left arm was covered in red armadillo-like armor that easily blocked its attack. "Gauntlet Warrior arm…" He muttered before pushing the Vulcan back. His right hand then began to glow a gold aura. "Scrap Fist!" He then sent a strong punch to the gut, causing it to gasp in pain before it crashed onto the wall. The Vulcan growled in anger and was about to attack again, but Natsu stepped forward.

"Yusei, let me take care of this freak." He said with a serious tone before igniting his fist. "Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" He lunged forward and struck the Vulcan in its cheek. "Everyone in Fairy Tail: Mira, Gramps, Cana, even those dickheads Elfman and Gray. I care about each and every one of them. They're my friends." He then looked over his shoulder. "That includes you and Lucy, Yusei. I consider you guys my friends." His whole body was covered in flames. "Now tell me where Macao is!" Focusing his strength in his fist, Natsu smashed the Vulcan into the wall, causing cracks to appear. Both Yusei and Lucy couldn't help but smile at Natsu's words. The Signer walked up to the Dragon Slayer, who looked at him with a grin. "Now that's how we do things, Fairy Tail style."

"Hmm, not bad Natsu, not bad at all." He extended his hand towards the fire user, who quickly took it. Their handshake was a true sign of the friendship they hoped would last. "We should still look around and find Mac-" Yusei was cut off by a blinding yellow light, getting everyone's attention. The form of the Vulcan was changed to a normal blue-haired man with a white overcoat. Yusei and Lucy looked at the man in confusion, but Natsu and Happy had a different reaction.

"MACAO!" They exclaimed before running towards the man.

"Wait, you're telling me that perverted monkey was Macao the whole time?!" The Celestial wizard said in a confused manner as she and Yusei walked up to them.

"The Vulcan must have used possession magic on him." Happy thought out loud as Natsu pulled out the medical kit.

"Possession magic?" Yusei questioned with a raised brow.

"Vulcan's survive by taking over the bodies of other people." Happy explained. Yusei gave a nod of understanding, feeling slightly guilty for attacking him.

"Relax, he should be fine." Natsu reassured. Macao slowly began to open his eyes, shifting his body slightly. "Macao, are you alright?"

"I'm such a wimp…." Macao muttered, much to their confusion. "I took out nineteen of those things, but the twentieth one got me. I'm so useless, how can I go back and face Romeo?" Yusei looked at the man for a few seconds before kneeling down.

"Look, I may not know you or these Vulcans, but judging how we fought the one that took you over, beating nineteen of them sounds like an achievement. I'm sure that Romeo would be proud of his father coming back home. He's pretty worried about you." Yusei said in a soft tone. Macao blinked a bit at Yusei's words before chuckling.

"Hehe, I don't know who you are mister, but thanks for saying that. Just give me a minute…" Macao slowly stood up, only to almost fall forward. Likely, Natsu and Yusei holstered Macao's arm around their shoulders and began to walk towards the exit, with Happy and Lucy following suit. "Good thing an old man like me can still breathe."

"Don't get cocky, Macao. I still wanna fight you again." Natsu teased with a smile.

'Outside the Fairy Tail guild'

Romeo sat outside the guild hall, the insults from the kids he used to hang out with were still fresh in his mind. He knew that Fairy Tail had the strongest wizards in all of Fiore, including his dad, but he was too determined to prove those kids wrong. So he asked his dad to take a job to show how strong a Fairy Tail wizard really was. But now his father was missing, and he had no one to blame but himself. Tears threatened to fall down his cheeks as he clenched his fists in anger. His self loathing however didn't last long as four individuals could be seen in the distance. He looked up and gasped as Natsu and Yusei were holding his dad up, each with smiles on their faces.

"Yo Romeo, check who we found!" Natsu shouted with a toothy grin. The small boy began to cry in joy before he ran towards the group.

"DAD!" He shouted before crashing into his father, making him gasp in shock. Romeo hugged his father with all the strength he had, letting all his tears fall. "I-I-I didn't think I would s-see you again. I'm so sorry!"

"No, I'm sorry for making you worry." Macao said while returning his son's hug.

"I can handle it, because I'm a wizard's son!" Romeo exclaimed. Macao chuckled before pulling back and placing both hands on his son's shoulders.

"The next time those bullies pick on you, say 'can your old man take on nineteen monsters, cuz mine can." Romeo smiled widely at his father while wiping off his tears. The group decided to walk away from the reunion between father and son.

"Thank you guys, for getting my dad back!" Romeo called out to the group.

"No problem kiddo." Natsu waved at him, with Happy following. The young boy then smiled wider as he looked at Yusei.

"And thank you for keeping your promise Yusei!" The Signer looked over his shoulder with a small smile before giving him a thumbs up, much to his joy.

"Woah, it felt good to help him out." Lucy thought out loud.

"Of course, Fairy Tail is all about family, and we always look out for one another. It's only natural you'd feel that way now that you're a part of the guild." Natsu gave Lucy a toothy grin as she nodded.

"These people truly are a family Yusei. Maybe you should join them." Stardust told wasn't against that idea since he could have somewhat of a vacation, and saving other people would make it worthwhile. Plus, now he could have a place to stay, should he ever meet the other Champions.

"You know, I think that's something I'd like to be a part of." Yusei spoke up, getting surprised looks from the others.

"Wait…. that means you wanna join Fairy Tail?!" Natsu said with a happy smile, getting a small chuckle from Yusei.

"Yeah, it might be fun, especially with you guys there." Natsu, Happy and Lucy looked at him with warm smiles as they continued to make their way towards the guild hall, excited to inform everyone about the news.

And there goes the second chapter of War Beyond Worlds. I know that the Macao arc wasn't that big, but I think it's a good way of showing how close the Fairy Tail Guild truly is. I hope you guys like how Yusei interacted with the other characters as we will see more of that in the future.

I did also tease at a few pairings since this story has the potential to having cross world pairings. They won't be the main focus of the story, but they'll be there just for the enjoyment of myself and you guys.

As for when another Champion will appear, I can safely say that we will see the next Hero or Heroine come after the next chapter, with a third one coming in the end of the Eisenwald arc. This will be a pattern I will have: introducing a new Champion during each arc.

For those who are curious about the mysterious figure known as Kane….. He is an OC and we will learn more about him in the coming chapters.
