Chapter 6: Forever Fall - Part 2
Dante sat on his bed with the rest of Team DVIN and Team RWBY gathered around him.
Nora sat to his right and Pyrrha sat to his left.
Iris was sitting on her own bed across from him along with Ruby as she stroked Fifi.
Weiss and Yang stood behind them while Blake leaned against the nearby wall.
"Alright, Dante, we're all here," Yang said, "why did you and Nora say yes when Coco asked you out?"
Taking a deep breath, Dante looked at everyone before explaining everything.
"As you all know, my Semblance lets me double the power of my Aura as long as I can physically handle it," he began, "you've seen me use it to create the armor I fight in, but it also has a… side effect."
"What kind of side effect?" Blake asked.
Dante went on, "my Aura has become so powerful that it radiates off me like sunlight… which makes my love life very interesting."
"How interesting are we talking about?" Yang said, actually sounding surprised.
There were a few seconds before Dante answered, "if I find someone attractive, my Aura subconsciously reaches out to theirs. If they find me attractive in return, our Auras… intertwine so to speak. It's a special bond that I still don't fully understand."
Iris looked worried, "are you saying that you-"
"It isn't brainwashing if that's what you're getting at," Dante said quickly, "as far as I can tell, it just amplifies whatever feelings are already there."
"How long have you been like this?" Weiss asked.
"Since Nora and I met," Dante replied, "we were about to be killed by Grimm when my Semblance manifested and saved us."
"You're making it sound like your Semblance is a different being from you," Blake noted.
Dante hesitated, "yes and no: my Semblance and Aura are still a part of who I am, but their unique combination kind of… birthed a new entity."
"Say what now?" Yang said.
"There's really no other way to describe it," Dante said, "my Semblance makes my Aura so powerful that it's actually achieved sentience."
He held out his hand, palm facing the floor, and a round green gem appeared similar to the one on his gauntlet.
"Say hi, Tia," Dante said.
"Hi, Tia," came a slightly distorted female voice, the gem flashing at each word.
Everyone except Dante and Nora flinched at that.
"What did I tell you about being cheeky when you talk to others?" Dante said.
"I know, I know," the voice replied, "I just didn't want to sound all creepy and dramatic."
Dante raised an eyebrow, "even though they would have flinched regardless of what you said?"
No reply.
"You know I can feel you smirking, right?" Dante said.
When the only response was a giggle, Dante looked up at the other girls, "anyway, I'd like you all to meet Tiamat; you could say she's my other half."
"It's nice to finally speak to you," she said, "please, just call me Tia."
There was a pause before Iris said, "I'm talking to a Semblance."
"I know," Ruby whispered, "it's awesome…"
"Why thank you, Ruby," Tia said.
The cloaked girl squeaked and hid behind the bedpost, "h-how do you know my name?!"
"I know all of your names," Tia replied, "I see and hear everything Dante does. Speaking of which, thank you so much for getting Dante that date with Coco, Nora."
"All in a day's work, Tia!" Nora chirped.
"Tiamat," Blake said, "as in the princess who was cursed to be a dragon?"
"I was named after her, yes," Tia said, "it was one of Dante's favorite stories growing up."
Dante looked both happy and sad as he looked at everyone, "now you all know the truth. I understand if you need time to process this or even if you never want to talk to me again."
There was a brief silence.
"I definitely need time," Yang eventually said, "and I can't speak for everyone here, but I still want to at least be friends with you."
Dante's head perked up, "really?"
The blonde brawler nodded, "that night in the club, you jumped into the fight without even knowing who I was. That alone proves you have a good heart and aren't afraid to stand up to bullies."
"You were the first nice person I met at Beacon," Ruby said with a smile, "of course I still want to be your friend."
"It isn't my place to judge someone for being who they are," Blake said in a neutral tone.
"Dante," Pyrrha said, putting a hand over his, "I'm your partner, I'll always be there for you."
"She's right," Iris added her own hand to the pile, "we're a Team, we do things together or not at all."
All eyes then went to Weiss.
"Do you have any other girlfriends already?" the heiress eventually asked.
"Just one or two that Nora and I met during our travels through Mistral," Dante replied, "we've kept in touch over the years, but they had other places to be than the Academies."
"What about you, Nora?" Pyrrha asked, "you're not bothered that Dante is seeing other girls?"
Nora just leaned into Dante's side, "it's what I love about him the most: he doesn't pick favorites. No matter how many people he ends up with, I know he'll never stop loving me or treat me any less than the other girls in our harem."
Most of the others smiled at that until Ruby tilted her head, "what's a harem?"
Everyone else shared a collective "uh…" before Yang spoke up, "oh look at the time, we should really get to bed."
She gave her younger sister an 'I'll explain later' look as Team RWBY got to their feet and headed to the door.
"Goodnight, Dante," Ruby waved, "and it was nice meeting you, Tia!"
"And it was lovely meeting you too, Ruby!" Tia called after her.
The door closed and Tia let out a fond sigh, "what a nice girl."
There was a brief silence before Dante said, "I feel that we have a lot to sleep on, so we should probably turn in."
"Yeah," Iris said quietly as she turned over in her bed with Fifi still in her arms.
Pyrrha nodded and lay down on her own bed.
Tia's gem vanished from Dante's hand without another word.
Nora snuggled up to her boyfriend, "they all just need time; things'll be better tomorrow."
Dante held her close and they all soon fell asleep.

In the dreamscape, Dante found himself on the couch again with Tia, but she was now wearing a transparent gray nightgown that showed off her amazing figure.
"Oh Dante," Tia said, nuzzling into him, "that meeting couldn't have gone better."
Dante returned the affection by holding her close and kissing her cheek, "yeah, it's like a huge load's been lifted off my chest."
A glint flashed in Tia's eyes that Dante knew all too well, "so should we call this a celebration or a reward?"
"Can't it be both?" Dante smirked.
"Then let's get started~" Tia purred before hugging Dante.
He closed his eyes and returned the embrace when he felt her form shifting in his hands.
When they parted, Dante opened his eyes to discover that Tia had morphed into Glynda wearing her usual clothes.
"Now listen closely, Mr. Belmont," she said, pulling Dante up to his feet, "just because I'm not the true Goodwitch does not mean I will tolerate any slacking. I am a fully mature woman after all and deserve to be treated as such, am I understood?"
Dante gulped, "yes, ma'am."
"Excellent," Glynda replied, "now, demonstrate the proper way to kiss a woman with me."
Dante put a hand to her cheek as their faces inched closer to each other.
"Remember to show your work," she whispered before their lips met. His arms then traveled down and wrapped around her waist.
Their tongues wrestled for a good few moments before they separated again.
"Perfect score," Glynda panted, putting her own hand on his cheek, "just what I'd expect from my favorite student."
Her other hand went to her blouse as she started unbuttoning it.
"I see the way you look at me in class," she said softly, "you're so young… but oh so mature~"
The last button came undone, revealing her breasts clad in a lacey white bra.
"Like what you see?" Glynda smirked.
Dante just nodded slowly.
"Perfect," she said, pulling his head between her breasts.
"I can teach you so many things," she whispered, "all you have to do is lie down."
Glynda pushed Dante backwards and he landed on a bed that had replaced the couch.
She slowly climbed on top of him and leaned her face close to his, "it looks like we've run out of time, but don't worry. Now you can enjoy your next class."
With that, they kissed again and Dante felt her form change.
When they pulled back, Dante found himself looking at Angela wearing her lab coat over a black bikini, her hair flowing past her shoulders.
"Ze human body is a blessing from ze gods~" she purred, getting on all fours over Dante, "our biology gives us ze sacred task of creating life. It is important to know every inch of your partner's being if you are to truly love zem."
Angela brought herself down and slipped her arms out of the lab coat as she and Dante embraced and began to run their hands up and down each other, kissing every now and then.
Eventually, the lab coat was pushed up over their heads as they continued their intimate moment.
When Dante pushed it away, he was greeted with the sight of Nurse Joy with her hair undone wearing a pink nightgown.
"Surprise!" she chirped, "the doctor had to step out; hope you don't mind snuggling with me for the rest of the night."
Dante just smiled and kissed her cheek before they both settled down in each other's embrace.

The next day, Glynda took all of the first-year students into the Forest of Forever Fall.
The forest was so-named because the leaves on the trees were always a deep autumn red so no matter what time of year it was, the forest always made it look like it was fall.
"Yes students, the Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful," Glynda said at the front of the group, "but we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so."
"Each of you is to gather one jar-worth of red sap." She held up a large jar full of a pinkish-red liquid, "however, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock. Have fun!"
As the groups split up through the trees, Dante grabbed a box of six empty jars before following after his Team.
They soon found a good spot and started collecting samples.
Dante passed a full jar to Nora and swapped it out for an empty one.
"So why did you grab six jars when there's only four of us?" Iris asked as she filled her own jar.
"That," Dante replied, pointing over to Nora to show that the jar was empty again and her face was stained red from both the sap and embarrassment.
"You do know that raw sap isn't the same as syrup, right?" Dante asked jokingly, causing the other three to laugh.
Suddenly, Dante heard a rustle in the bushes nearby and turned to see something flying at them.
"Pyrrha, look out!" he shouted, drawing Ascalon to block whatever was coming, but Iris got there first and used her Light-Wings to slash the thing apart.
Unfortunately, the object turned out to be another jar full of sap, which now covered Iris' white tunic.
"Aw, man," she groaned, shaking what she could off her arms, "this is gonna take forever to wash out!"
Before anyone could say anything, the sound of buzzing filled the air.
They all turned to see that flying towards them was a swarm of-
"Rapier Wasps!" Dante cried out before turning to Iris, "they must be attracted to the sap! Get above the treeline and try to find Goodwitch!"
Iris nodded and shot up into the air. Most of the wasps followed her, but the few that stayed behind had to be dealt with by the other three.
"Oh, come on!" came a familiar voice from the bushes.
Dante, Nora and Pyrrha turned to see Cardin emerge from the bushes, "why do you guys have to ruin everything?!"
In a flash, Dante's gauntlet had replaced Ascalon and he ran at the taller boy.
Cardin didn't even have time to put his guard up before the armored fist connected with his face, knocking him on his back.
"Picking on others was one thing," Dante growled, his eyes already glowing green under his sunglasses, "targeting a Faunus was already crossing a line; but coming after my Team?! You're gonna pay!"
Cardin just spat something out of his mouth and sneered, "you think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a big strong man now?"
Now armed with Miló and Akoúo, Pyrrha glared at Cardin, "he has more strength than you ever will!"
"Yeah!" Nora growled, aiming Magnhild at him, "and by the way, pranks are supposed to be funny! Yours are just cruel!"
Cardin folded up his legs, bringing his knees to his chest, before kicking them out again and hitting Dante right in the chest.
The leather-clad young man flew back into a tree trunk as Cardin got to his feet.
Drawing The Executioner, Cardin gave a whistle and the other members of Team CRDL appeared out of the forest.
"We'll still be laughing after we're done with you," he growled… until another growl drowned him out.
Everyone turned to see a massive paw emerge from the bushes.
Following it was a massive Grimm. It resembled an Ursa, but it was at least two times the usual size and had dozens of jagged white spikes sprouting from its back.
It raised its head and sniffed the air until it suddenly glared at Cardin.
He looked down at his hands to realize there was still some sap on them.
The Grimm stood up on its hind legs and roared at Cardin, prompting Russel, Dove, and Sky to turn tail and run.
"That's a big Ursa!" Russel exclaimed.
"Of course it is," Dante coughed, propping himself up with the trunk, "that's an Ursa Major!"
Cardin readied his mace, but the monster just swatted it away and then tackled him to the ground.
The gem on Dante's gauntlet began to glow and pulse as he looked at Nora, "keep Pyrrha back."
She nodded and got in between her fellow redhead and the Ursa Major.
"Crap! Crap-Crap!" Cardin whimpered as the Grimm raised its paw and Dante started charging at them.
"Draconic Rook!"
When the flash died down, the Ursa Major was now on its side and Dante stood between it and Cardin.
He was now clad in red armor again, but this was different from what he wore during the initiation.
This suit was much bulkier with larger shoulder-pads, thick and sturdy legs, but what drew the most attention were the arms.
Dante's clawed fingers stuck out of a pair of large pile-drivers the size of caskets, one of which he had used to knock the Ursa Major off of Cardin.
A spike sticking out from his giant knuckles retracted from the hand Dante had punched with.
"Dante!" two other voices called out.
He glanced back to see Ruby and Weiss off to the side.
The Ursa Major got back up and roared a challenge at Dante, which he returned.
It charged at Dante and he responded by punching it twice in the head.
The Grimm roared again and clawed at him only for Dante to grab both paws in a deadlock.
Seeing that neither of them were giving way, Pyrrha holstered Miló and held out her hand as it began to glow dark red.
The same glow started to encase the back of Dante's pile-drivers as the mechanisms pulled back before the glow vanished and they shot back into place.
This brought the spikes in Dante's fists out and shot right through the Ursa Major's paws.
The beast roared out in pain and faltered, giving Dante enough time to plant a foot on the Ursa Major's chest and kick it back.
However, with the spikes still in its paws, the force of the kick ripped both of its arms right out of their sockets.
The Ursa Major fell onto its back, trapped by its own spikes and lack of arms.
With the paws already evaporated, Dante leapt up as high as he could and brought his fists down for the finishing blow.
What was left of the Ursa Major dissolved into black smoke and Dante let out a triumphant roar before collapsing to his knees, the armor vanishing as he did so.
Nora was instantly by his side while Pyrrha stood by Ruby and Weiss as her hand stopped glowing.
"Uh…" Ruby was still trying to wrap her head around what just happened, "what?"
Weiss was equally amazed, "how did you…?"
"Well," Pyrrha replied, "Ruby has her Speed, you have your Glyphs. My Semblance is Polarity."
"Whoa," Ruby said in awe, "you can control poles…"
"No, you dunce!" Weiss snapped, "it means she has control over magnetism!"
"Magnets are cool too…" Ruby replied, too amazed to feel hurt by Weiss' volume.
After Dante caught his breath, Nora helped him up.
He glared at Cardin, who was still on his back looking up at them in shock.
"Despite everything you've done, I still helped you," Dante said in an even tone, "that is what it means to be a Huntsman; I suggest you and your Team rethink your principles before you ruin your own lives."
Cardin said nothing, but the look on his face told them that Dante's words were sticking to him.
After blowing a raspberry, Nora helped Dante over to the others and he gave them a smile, "enjoy the show?"
"That was so awesome!" Ruby squealed, "you were all 'roar-bang-smack!'"
"Why did your armor look different from initiation?" Weiss asked.
"My Semblance lets me manifest armor in different forms," Dante replied, "what you saw during initiation was my Pawn form, which I use for hand-to-hand combat. The one I just used was my Rook form, which I use when I need more brute strength."
Weiss put a hand to her chin, "and if you've named your forms after chess pieces, that means you also have a Knight, Bishop, King and Queen form."
Dante nodded, "very perceptive, Weiss, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't go around telling people about that."
Pyrrha went over to her two teammates, "it could be our little secret."
"But we can still tell Iris about this, right?" Ruby asked, holding up her Scroll to show that she had recorded most of the fight.
"Of course you ca-" Dante cut himself off as he, Nora and Pyrrha glanced at each other in alarm.
"IRIS!"
dXb
"Owie…" Iris groaned in her dorm bed, her legs covered in ice packs and bandages while Fifi sat comfortably in her lap.
"Hang in there a little longer," Dante said from their dorm's small kitchen, "we can take the bandages off once the pancakes are done."
"I'm just thankful that Professor Goodwitch was able to drive the wasps away before they got to the rest of you," Pyrrha said.
"I still don't get it," Iris said as Dante put all the food onto plates, "why save a scumbag like Cardin?"
Dante started gently taking off Iris' bandages, "one of the last things my parents taught me is that valuing life isn't a weakness and disregarding life isn't strength. Sure, Cardin's a bully with a severely outdated way of thinking, but no one deserves to die for that."
"Besides," Pyrrha added, "Cardin is being thoroughly punished with all those essays Professor Goodwitch gave him."
"But he did confess what he did," Dante said, "I feel like he's starting to turn around."
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Iris replied after taking a few bites, "I just wish I was there to see that Ursa Major fight."
Nora gulped down the last of the syrup, "come on, you flew from a swarm of wasps while Dante fought a bear monster! How are those not the same?!"
Fifi meowed and pawed at the food.
Iris sighed and threw a bit of pancake at her, which she caught and started chewing.
"Today was definitely interesting," she said, her lips curling up slightly.
"There it is," Dante beamed at her, "was one little smile so hard?"
Iris blushed and focused more on her food.
"Oh, you think you can eat faster than me?" Nora challenged, "we'll see about that!"
The two then started wolfing down food as fast as they could while Dante and Pyrrha grabbed their plates and headed out the door.
dXb
"Are you sure they'll be okay?" Pyrrha asked as they both sat down on the rooftop.
"They'll be fine," Dante said, "I've never seen Nora choke on anything, so she'll be there if Iris puts too much in her mouth."
They were quiet for a bit as they ate their dinner and watched the sun go down.
"It's so simple up here," Dante eventually said, "look down and all you see are glowing lights. You'd never know that there's crime and corruption until you got closer."
"That's why we're here," Pyrrha replied, "to make the world better."
Dante put a hand over hers, "and I couldn't have a better Team to help me do that."
Pyrrha blushed as Dante looked around the rooftop.
"You know," he said, "this would make for a pretty good sparring ring."
They stood up and gazed at each other before Pyrrha put a hand on Dante's chest and shoved him to the ground.
He fell on his back with a muffled 'oof.'
"Your stance is all wrong," she smirked, "you need to be wider and lower to the ground."
Dante returned the smirk, "you know how that sentence can be taken, right?"
Pyrrha blushed but still giggled, "maybe that's something else we can work on."
She helped her partner up and they grabbed their dishes.
As they walked back to the stairs, Dante noticed that they were still holding hands but didn't let go.
"Come on," he said, "there's one more thing I want you and Iris to know before we head to bed."
To be continued…
That's a wrap!
Hope you enjoyed the dream scene, I've been wanting to do something like that for a while!
Anyway, if you're wondering what other secret Dante was about to reveal to Pyrrha and Iris, that will be revealed in the next couple of chapters.
Now for the review I can't PM:
Maxsteel: No te preocupes, llegaré a eso eventualmente.
Next time, we'll be getting to The Stray and the first part of the unofficial two-part finale of Volume 1. As I said in the beginning, Team SSSN will not be in this story, but I don't think you'll be too upset with the girls taking their place.
Again, feel free to favorite, follow, and/or review. All I ask is that you keep things friendly and professional, both in your praise and your critiques. Suggestions are always welcome, just keep in mind that I might not see or reply to every single review or message.
