A/N: Shout out to Phnxgirl for helping me brain storm Kensi's favorite candy. PB cups didn't feel right and for some reason what I picked, did.

There's been an itch, an itch that he hasn't been able to scratch for the last 24 hours. They'd both been tied up with other things, sending a text here and there but he didn't realize how not hearing her voice would become almost crippling to him. As the last kid trickles out of the lunch room giving him a ten-minute reprieve, he takes out his phone.

More sadness rolls through him when he realizes that if he calls, he won't be able to hang up…"Text it is."

Marty: Do you know how happy you make me?

Kensi: I think I have a pretty good idea.

Kensi: So is that why you texted me when you're on lunch duty, to tell me how happy I make you?

Marty: One of the reasons.

Kensi: And the others are?

Marty: Do you happen to know where I can find the least permanent hair dye?

Kensi: Why? You don't have that much gray hair. Even so, I think it's sexy.

Marty: It's for my Halloween costume and good to know.

Kensi: Wait, costume? I thought there were no costumes at school.

Marty: Not for school. Ever since she was little Harper hasn't wanted anything to do with Halloween and then yesterday, out of the blue, she wants to dress up and for me to dress up with her.

Kensi: Wow. Riley's the complete opposite, can't get enough of horror and mythical creatures. We've had our costumes picked out for a few months now.

Marty: Interesting…am I gonna get a little preview of this costume?

Kensi: If you behave you'll get the entire thing tonight since Riley informed me that y'all invited us to go trick-or-treating tonight.

Marty: Ohh, we did, did we? Lucky me.

Kensi: 😈 💋

Kensi: What color dye are you needing?

Marty: Gomez Addams black.

Kensi: Those little sneaks.

Marty: Huh?

Kensi: Riley is obsessed with a very specific family and once she learned the daughter was getting her own series it's been nothing but a countdown until November 23rd.

Marty: I'm not following.

Kensi: Baby, really? The family where the mom and dad are obsessively obsessed with each other.

Marty: Ohhhh

Kensi: Yeah

Marty: So that means…😏

Kensi: You're talking to your wifey, Gomez. 😘

Marty: But then why is Harper going as Wednesday?

Kensi: Riley has a thing for werewolves so she wants to be her best friend Enid.

Marty: You think they're trying to be slick?

Kensi: I think they think they're being slick.

Marty: I was gonna suggest we go ahead and tell them but I kinda wanna see how far they go to get us together.

Kensi: I'm not gonna lie, I do, too.

Marty: At least we know they're okay with it. Still Gomez Addams?

Kensi: What about me? Do I look like Morticia to you?

Marty: Let's see. She's mysterious, sexy, closed off…

Kensi: And you like that in a woman?

Marty: No, I like that in you.

Kensi: You know what I like in me?

Marty: 😩

Marty: You're killing me.

Kensi: Oh, did you know the writer of The Addams Family intended for Gomez and Morticia to be so grossly obsessed with each other that he wanted it to be clear they were having uninhibited passionate unruly sex all the time?

Marty: Mmmm. Sounds like another couple I know.

Kensi: Couple? Oh, you think we're a couple?

Marty: What would you call what we've been doing the past 2 months?

Kensi: Hanging out…doing adult things.

Marty: Oh, I get it.

Kensi: What?

Marty: Tonight.

Kensi: Tonight? What tonight?

Marty: You'll see.

Kensi: Can't wait. Also, Manic Panic.

Marty: ?

Kensi: Hair dye. Riley used it for her costume last year. Should have it at Target.

Marty: Thank you, baby. I love you!

Kensi: Love you back!

"Trick or Treat."

Marty's eyes go wide as his body stiffens in the doorway. He's seen her breasts plenty of times, more than he can count but somehow they look bigger tonight…push up bra maybe? Plunging neckline? Wait, is she even wearing a bra? Either way, it's getting harder and harder every day to keep his hands off of her in the presence of prying eyes. Really really glad their girls are scheming though. Really.

"I thought y'all were never gonna get here." Harper walks around her dad, missing the heated look between the two adults, Riley on the other hand has to fight the Cheshire-like grin from spreading to her lips.

The tall brunette can feel her daughter's eyes on her and quickly moves her focus to the girls. Trying her best to recover and act surprised, a stern look crossing her features. "Um, what's going on here?"

"What are you talking about?" Harper's brow furrows in confusion as if she's oblivious to what's going on.

"Why are me and your dad dressed as a couple?"

The raven-haired tween looks from the brunette to her dad and back to the brunette. "Oh, are you? I didn't even think about that."

"Well, I'll be." Riley places her hands on her hips, just as "stunned."

"Funny how that worked out." Marty inserts, playing his part. Though he's surprised he even got that much out.

"Oh well." Harper shrugs before stepping out onto the lawn. "Can't change now."

After one of the girls pulls a neighbor aside to take a photo of the 4 of them, Harper and Riley run across the street to talk to a friend, leaving the adults alone.

He feels the heat pool low in his belly, nervousness washing through him as he reaches into his suit jacket and pulls out a Milkyway with a piece of cornflower blue paper wrapped around it.

Once the girls' focus is wrapped up in talking to their friend, Kensi finally allows herself to look at Marty. She can't fight the grin from curling at her lips seeing the object in his hand. Gladly accepting the treat, she unravels the piece of paper, and as her eyes scan the words her heart begins to thunder in her head.

Kensi Marie Blye, will you be my more than girlfriend?

Honestly, she doesn't know what comes over her, but the tears pooling in her eyes as she meets his cerulean blues tell them both that this step means a whole lot more than either of them realized. It's official. It's real. It's mending two broken hearts.

Taking a quick scan to make sure they're not being watched, Kensi takes a step forward, closing the gap between their bodies. A kiss would be too risky right now, especially with how hot he's making her. Leaning in, her lips are but a breath away from his ear. "Only if promise to never leave me again."

Oh, this is bad. So very very bad. The feel of her body mere inches from his and her breath against his ear sends an electric current through his body, tingles hitting every nerve ending when her words hit him like a ton of bricks.

He allows himself a little indulgence and wraps his pinky around hers. It's not much, but it's enough for now. "Never."

"Morticia and Gomez, let's roll."

They quickly jump apart at the sound of Riley calling after them from across the street hoping no one got a view of their little moment.

The click of her heels have been a constant reminder for the last hour. A constant reminder of the beautiful figure hugging dress with a plunging neckline that's wrapped around her body. He's doing his best to watch the girls have fun and willing himself not to look in her direction but she's not having it. Not to mention her laughter every time the girls act out their parts of Wednesday and Enid perfectly. "Ugh."

"What?" Her brow furrows in confusion at the clear annoance laced in his voice.

"I really don't want to be here right now."

As the girls walk up to the next house, the tall brunette wraps her hand around his arm, pulling him to a stop. "What are you talking about, you love Halloween."

He takes a look at the girls and gives a little. His cerulean blues meet her mysteriously dark orbs and the once slow hum through his body becomes a full vibration. "Yeah, but not when you look like that and I can't touch you."

A sudden look of understanding crosses her face, and a twinkle sparks in her eye. "You know…we do need to be in character. We owe the girls to play our parts."

"I don't know if that's a good idea."

"Why not?"

"Cuz once I start, I won't be able to stop."

"Well, knowing the girls they're gonna ask to spend the night and then when they're in their sugar comas one of us can sneak into the other's house."

Marty's eyes close and a sweet sigh of relief comes out instantly. "Beautiful, beautiful woman."

A small smile curls at the corner of her lips as she watches his whole body transform, and she gives a little. Closing the distance between them, she brings her lips to his ear. "That's what my more-than boyfriend tells me."

He's melting, literally melting. She's so close yet so far away and when her lips find their place on his cheek, he's suddenly ready to spill the beans to everyone and anyone. Except when he opens his eyes, she's gone. Sashaying towards the girls, all the while sending him a mischievous smirk over her should.

Soon.
