A/N: I am back and have completed my first playthrough of Bloodborne. It was as hard as I thought it was, but the Chalice Dungeons had put me in my place. Nonetheless, it took me four days to complete and I am proud of myself.
Now, it is time to get to the second chapter of Fairyborne. At the end of the chapter, I have to ask a question that needs some answers. Oh, and from now on, chapters will be now based off of locations and bosses. Oh yeah, I am going to make an announcement at the end as well. This is a build up to what is about to happen.
To make this story really interesting, I finally got my hands on Bloodborne and completed it within four days. Now then, let's get on with the story.
This chapter is going to be extremely short as I want to make a build up towards the next chapter. You'll see why.
There are some moments are are going to be different from the previous version.
DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own Bloodborne and/or Fairy Tail
Dragon Hunter of Yharnam
Second Hunt
Central Yharnam
Wendy woke up with a large gasp. She sat up and immediately placed her hand on her chest. The young Dragon Slayer continued to inhale and exhale at a rapid paste until she was calm. That dream that she had felt... was real.
Before she could lose her bearings, Wendy scanned her surroundings. She saw a pile of books on the floor near a cupboard filled with medications and surgical tools. Yet, there was no sign of anyone that has made their presence.
"Hello?" Wendy called out, waiting for a response but didn't receive any.
Wendy looked at her arms to see bandages wrapped around her right wrist. She started to rub the fabric and remembered a recent memory. This was the same room where she talked with the old man in the wheelchair that unwillingly gave her a blood transfusion who wasn't in the room. A few sniffs were made, and she already smelled blood that were dried up...and also a fresh corpse nearby. This made the young Dragon Slayer tell her something important.
She needs to get out of here. Like right now.
Swinging her feet and getting off the table, Wendy immediately fell face first onto the floor. She groaned in slight pain as she placed her hand onto her head and came to the conclusion that she couldn't feel her legs. "My feet. How long was I out for?" The Young Dragon Slayer got a response by the sound of multiple ghastly groans heard right in front of her. She looked where the source came from and had her eyes widened in horror.
It was those exact same small, grotesque creatures that she saw in her lucid-like state. This time, they were very real and were waving a rolled-up paper at her. Their actions caused her to freak out.
"Eeeeek!" She squealed in horror as she somehow managed to stand back up and exited the room before she stumbled back on the floor. Unfortunately, she fell near the stairs and violently rolled until she stopped. The Young Dragon Slayer painfully whined and shakily got back to her feet and leaned over at the wall. "Ow…"
It took her a few minutes to get her standing back to normal. Wendy made a few stomps onto the ground to make sure that she was properly standing and once that was done, she looked to see more operating tables within the room. In the middle, there was a mutilated corpse lying on the floor along with the same kind of beast that the Young Dragon Slayer saw from her lucid-like dream. The young Dragon Slayer analyzed the beast and smelled that it had been dead not so long ago.
Someone must have killed it earlier. Whoever it was, she was thankful for that or otherwise she would have been torn into pieces.
Looking around and saw that the exit was not far from where she was, Wendy slowly began to walk towards the opened door. Once the young Dragon Slayer exited, her eyes caught the view of her surroundings. "So, this is Yharnam? It doesn't seem to be bright."
Yes, what Wendy was seeing was indeed the city of Yharnam. The structure reminded the Young Dragon Slayer so much of Fiore's Capital, Crocus. Yet there is one significant thing that caught Wendy's attention. While Fiore's Capital was lively and full of colors, this place seems like the opposite. Devoid of life and gloomy is what Wendy can only feel.
Wendy looked ahead and gulped at the sight before her. There, multiple dead bodies were lying on the ground. She saw that some had been slashed by some sort of saw weaponry and what was distinct is how they're all missing a large portion of their chest. This was the second time Wendy had seen corpses that were mutilated. "W-what could have done this?"
Wendy didn't want to see the sight before her any longer. Looking at the right to see a ladder, the young Dragon Slayer proceeded to climb upwards. She wanted to get out of here. She wanted to go home. She wanted to see Chelia and Carla's faces again.
Halfway through climbing, the young Dragon Slayer heard a loud animalistic scream that almost caused her to go deaf. After hearing that, Wendy shook her head to get rid of the deafening sound that was ringing within her head. No longer feeling that sound, the Young Dragon Slayer continued to climb onto the ladder until she reached the top of the ladder. Almost immediately, Wendy spotted a lantern in the center of the area she had currently found herself in. "Is…that a lantern post?" Wendy wondered how it managed to end up there in the first place.
The Young Dragon Slayer carefully approached the lantern and got her hand out. However, upon nearing the Lantern, Wendy's eyes widened as she saw those same grotesque creatures emerging from the ground and surrounded the object before her. "Eep!" Wendy backed away from it and fell to the floor.
The creatures looked where Wendy was and…immediately waved at her while letting out a ghastly groan of excitement. The young girl didn't know how those things were exactly following her in every area she had found herself in.
"S-stay away…" Wendy spoke in terror, getting back up and running past the lantern post. The young girl's scent caught the sense of dried up blood and looked at the dead body of a man, who was slashed across the face in the same way she saw the other body.
Walking past it, Wendy's scent only caught more dried up blood nearby. Progressing further into a large street, a sight of a massacre was present as Wendy continued to trek through. Bodies of men were slain the exact same way. Slash marks across their chest, faces, and in some cases, some had their heads decapitated. What was even first is that there was a mutilated body of a beast burning within a pike. Her eyes widened and wanted to throw up…
"Is it not pleasant to see?" a woman's voice called out to the young Dragon Slayer.
Wendy turned to her right to see someone leaning at a wall. The woman's outfit reminded the Young Dragon Slayer of a crow, which was mainly due to the color scheme, as well as the feathered cape around her shoulders. AND the mask that was over her face. "Uh…it really is, Miss."
The woman in the crow-like outfit looked at the young child. She felt irked at the last part of Wendy's response. "So, you're an outsider, 'ey? And a child no less?"
"Y-yes…, Miss…" Wendy meekly responded back.
"Elieen. A hunter of Hunters. You're not supposed to be outside." The elderly woman reminded Wendy. "Especially during this time of the night."
"What do you mean by that, Miss?" Wendy curiously asked the elderly woman known as Eileen.
"Yharnam is filled with humans no more as you can see with the corpses lying around." Eileen answered Wendy's question. "Yharnamites aren't too fond of outsiders, especially Hunters." She pointed at her but not directly. "That tattoo on your shoulder marks you as one."
Wendy looked at where the elderly woman was pointing towards and saw that she was pointed towards her guild mark on her shoulder. Wendy immediately covered it. "Oh, I didn't notice it was exposed."
Eileen looked at her for a few seconds before she handed over a cloth. "You should cover it with this. It won't expose you as a hunter."
"A hunter?" Wendy tilted her head as she remembered that strange voice telling those small things of how they 'found another hunter' back in her lucid-like dream. Who exactly was this other hunter that the voice was referring to? As much as Wendy wanted to get answers, she knew that staying around here for long would be a bad idea. Looking over at Eileen after wrapping the cloth around the guild ark on her shoulder, she asked. "Excuse me Miss, but can you please tell me where a safe place is located?"
"The only safe place is the Oedon Chapel," she immediately answered. "If you want to get there from here, then I suggest taking a different route from the Great Bridge."
"The what know?" Wendy tilted her head in curiosity.
"The Great Bridge was the original way to get to the Oedon Chapel. But as the beast plague got worse, they had to block it off. There is another way to get there–" Eileen didn't get to finish as she saw the Young child already heading towards where the Chapel was located. The elderly woman let out an irritated groan. "Why did she not bother listening to my warnings? Isn't she aware that a Beast is waiting there?" At least her warnings for a certain Hunter had heeded her words. That begs the question, why did the kid decide to head there? Does she want a death sentence?
Unknown to her, Wendy clearly heard that, but she continued to go towards the Great Bridge of Yharnam. As she headed there by following the path that was visible, there was one question in mind. "What does that woman mean by 'a Beast is waiting there'?"
-Scene Cut-
A pig's squeal was heard within the sewers of Yharnam as it dropped dead into the watery ground. Footsteps could be heard walking at the side of the large animal and it reveals itself to be a man wearing a strange attire that was soaked in blood . It consisted of a black trousers, black gloves with bracers, and a dark gray colored jacket. A tattered tricone and a mouth-cloth masked his entire face.
Walking over to a half-eaten carcass that used to belong to a child, he picked up a blood-soaked ribbon off from the floor and stared at it. Putting a weapon that was a demented mix between a saw and a cleaver on the harness that was seen within his back. Staring at the object within his right hand, the Hunter knew exactly how this happened.
A young girl had asked the Hunter to find her mother, who went missing after she went looking for her father. He eventually found who he was for, only to turn into a beast midway through their fight after the father had attacked him upon setting his senses at the Hunter. The Hunter eventually emerged victorious, but it didn't make him happy as he saw the mother's lifeless corpse lying at a ledge nearby.
Shortly getting the red brooch off from the dead mother, the Hunter went back to where he spoke to the child. Knowing full too well how the child was going to react, the Hunter had to lie to her by saying that her parents were waiting within the Oedon Cathedral and as expected, the girl was into it.
The Hunter knew what he said to her was wrong. Yet at the same time, he didn't want to inform her that her parents were dead and he had partial responsibility.
However, upon reaching the Oedon Chapel, he saw that the little girl was not there. Thinking that she was hiding within the sewers, the Hunter proceeded to go there and upon finding a trail of blood, the Hunter saw a half eaten corpse of a little girl. What was worse is how a giant pig with a bloodied mouth was responsible for killing the child.
Fueled with blood-filled rage, the Hunter relentlessly killed the pig, which ended up at this very time.
Knowing that he failed his task, all the Hunter wanted to do was to go back to that dream and be comforted by a strange yet kind individual. He didn't care if the hunt was long, he was too tired of everything that had happened so far.
The Hunter was about to go back to the Dream, his ears caught the sound of wind blowing somewhere within Yharnam. It was a strange occurrence, but the Hunter didn't care. Yet as he took another step, he heard that same beast scream. As he took his third step, his eyes widened as he heard a voice that was not too similar to what he heard earlier. "SKY DRAGON WIND ATTACK!"
It belonged to a child. A child that he realized was fighting against that beast. This raised a single question in the Hunter's mind. What kind of kid would be crazy enough to face off against a beast?
It doesn't matter, the Hunter knew one thing that he wanted to prevent.
He wanted history to not repeat once again and he is damned to be very sure of it.
The Hunter only hoped that he wasn't too late to save this child.
A/N: There you go. Apology that it took me long to publish another chapter as I have been playing Bloodborne. I have to say that it fits well with my type of playstyle. Being aggressive and that. Anyway, the next chapter will be Wendy fighting against the tutorial boss of Bloodborne and I cannot wait to do my take.
Yeah, I just realized that there's no Earthano within the world of Bloodborne. Yet somehow, Wendy can use her magic. For now at least and we'll see why...
Now, I want to get off topic here and talk about RWBY. I have to say, HOLY SHIT! I didn't expect Yang and Blake to do it. What is more surprising is that Bumblebey was in the planning for ten years. It bloomed unexpectedly for me, and I can imagine one certain individual being too happy about it. But, as expected, there will be a split fanbase within the recent episode. Now I can quote this by Eggman from SnapCube's fandub 'WHAT THE ACTUAL SHIT?! WHAAAAAT!'
Back to the topic of Fairyborne, I already thought of an outfit for Wendy when she adventures throughout Yharnam and many of its realm. But I want to hear your thoughts on what outfit should Wendy wear.
Now that is over, I will see you in the next chapter. Whenever that would be.
One more thing, this is Wendy's Stats when she is starting in Bloodborne...
