Alright, alright. So, Fairyborne isn't as popular that I hoped it'd be. But hey, I am going to do what I like doing, even though those two series is really a strange combination.

Before I start in this story, I want to point this out. Every fanfiction, whether it's just general or a crossover, has every bit of copying and pasting to it. Sure, it's just generic bullshit and all, which is really just lazy work, but if you are still struggling to think of dialogue or some natural stuff said by those characters, then yeah. The Writers have an easier writing to do. Not going to justify it.

One more information. To those saying how long Wendy would stay in Yharnam and its nightmares for, well, you'll have to see in the upcoming chapters. And her trauma? That depends on the amount of insight she gained as well as seeing some Eldritch Horrors.

With that said, let's move on to the Seventh Chapter to Fairyborne.

Seventh Hunt

Hunter's Dream II

The Hunter's Dream…

Wendy sat in a grassy area near where the Workshop was stationed while clasping her legs. She was silent for quite a while, which is understandable since the Young Dragon Slayer had killed another person, although they had been transformed into a beast. She brought up one of her hands and stared at it, knowing it was no longer clean. "I…. can't…I didn't think I was capable of taking a life away…." She thoughtfully told herself.

Not so far from where she rested, Gideon silently watched her. After discovering the Grand Cathedral, he decided to check up on her. By the looks of things, it seems she is still holding onto the fact that she had grudgingly slain another person. He wanted to go up to the Young Dragon Slayer and talk to her about how she felt. Though that is unlikely to happen. He exhaled to himself and looked at his curling hands.

"Good Hunter," Gideon heard that voice again and turned towards his right to see the Doll walking up to him. He can see her having a look of concern on her face. "You have been awfully like the Young Hunter for a while now. Is there something wrong?"

"It's the kid," he told her. "She's been like that ever since…she successfully hunted down a prey." He went silent for quite a while before continuing. "And it's my fault for allowing such a thing to happen."

The Good Hunter twirled his right hand into a fist. "She's only a child and has to live with that for her entire life. If only I should have been more durable at that hunt, then I would have prevented her from doing such a thing…."

He unexpectedly felt a pair of hands wrapping around his. He saw the Doll smiling at her. "Good Hunter, I am a Doll. I am here to soothe your sickly spirit. But it's not only just you." He had a feeling that she was implying to Wendy. "I should say the same thing to her as well." The Doll's hands slowly let go from his and began to walk over to where the Young Dragon Slayer sat.

Speaking of the girl, she heard footsteps from her. She turned around and didn't expect to see the Doll again. "Miss?"

"Young Hunter…" The Doll spoke to her with sincere worry before stopping right in front of her and knelt at her level. "The Good Hunter has informed me of your troubles." Wendy remained silent upon hearing those words coming from the Doll. She wasn't exactly in the mood to talk right now. The other woman wrapped her arms around the young girl and comfortably hugged her. Wendy had not expected this kind gesture from the Doll. Her head was on the Doll's chest, though it wasn't as comfortable as a living being's. The Doll stroked the back of the girl's head. "I have already comforted the Good Hunter before coming to you. You can take as much time as you please." Wendy felt grateful to the Doll and returned the hug as well.

"Thank you," she said to the Doll. Both were distracted by another pair of footsteps coming towards them. The young girl sniffed a few times and caught a familiar scent. She opened her eyes to see someone she had seen not so long ago. "Mr Gideon?" She was surprised to see him without the mouth cloth and the tattered tricorne.

He had short black hair, blue eyes slightly dimmed in color, and stubbles. Wendy looked at his face, and he looked pretty handsome if he shaved off the beard. "Hey, kid. I just want to say sorry for putting you in that spot."

This made the girl go silent. She quickly dismissed that thought and let out a small smile. "It's alright, Mr Gideon. It's like what you said. 'Sooner or later, you'd end up in a situation whether you die at the hands of your enemies or are forced to take a life to survive.'" She sadly repeated his words.

The other Hunter let out a breath of air, knowing how well she took his words. He lowered his head before looking back at her. "I know it's tough for you. But you should not let that cloud your mind of who you are." As he approached, he placed a hand on her shoulder with a comforted expression. "I know you're still the person you were when I first met you. You haven't even changed anything apart from feeling your recent sentiments."

Wendy was undoubtedly surprised by these touching words coming from a person she envisioned as quite the bloodthirsty type. These words caused her to form a bit of tears in her eyes. "Really?"

Gideon bobbled his head. "Of course, kiddo. I'm being honest with my words here."

Wendy wanted to brawl her eyes out as she felt all the negative emotions easing out. Unknowingly, her hug got tighter as she held the Doll closer, though it didn't seem to bother her. The young girl realized this due to feeling the porcelain texture getting too near her face and decided to let go. "Oh! I'm so sorry, Miss! I didn't realize that—"

"It's alright, Young Hunter," The Doll's tone was kind and caring as she talked to her. "You shouldn't worry about it. I am a Doll, here to relieve your spirit, As with the Good Hunter and others who have come before the both of you."

Wendy and Gideon didn't say anything about that. They knew the Doll's role in this Dream and didn't want her to repeat what she did. Wendy used this opportunity to talk with him, seeing their calmness. "Mr Gideon?"

The other Hunter hummed upon hearing his name. "Yes?"

The girl looked slightly awkward while rubbing her nape. "Is it alright if we have a talk on our own? I don't want to be rude, but you and I know little about each other. "

This information dawned on Gideon as he understood that he hadn't learned anything about the kid. Well, at least he won't see any harm to it. "You brought up a good point there. Sure, we'll talk in another part of the area once you're feeling better." That was something that Wendy had to agree on. She would expect him to react shocked upon telling him about herself.

-Scene Change-

Once the young girl felt better, she followed Gideon to another part of the Workshop, where there was a tree stump filled with Messengers. Upon hearing what the young girl had stated, Gideon was baffled while barely pacing around the area. He breathed in a bit of air before releasing it.

"So let me get this straight..." He looked back at her directly in the eyes. "You're from a land called Fiore, where magic exists and from what you have informed me, you're a dragon slayer from that world, right?"

Wendy slightly nodded her head. "Yes. I am a Sky Dragon Slayer, to be exact. I didn't say it to you, Miss Doll or Mr Gehrman earlier because all of you would find it quite ridiculous. I'm sorry for not telling you."

The Other Hunter snorted at that statement. "Trust me, kid. I've seen some really ridiculous stuff before meeting you. So, you don't need to apologize for not telling me beforehand," He admitted before continuing. "And from what you told me, Dragon Slayers like you can use unique magic to slay dragons. Which really depends on which generations they are from the ones they've taught."

The girl shook her head once again. "Yes. As for me, I can use support magic and not only that. I can also use healing magic on people. From injuries and illness. I was taught by my mother, Grandeeney."

Gideon had taken account of this girl's capabilities and knew it would have been more helpful earlier. "That could have been used earlier. I wonder why she didn't use it?" He wanted to get straight to the point, but first... "So, this Grandeeney, was she a Dragon Slayer like you or..."

"A dragon?" Wendy finished his sentence, which made him express his confirmation to her. "Yes. She was an actual dragon."

"Wow. Who could have known that I am with a kid who was taught and raised by a literal dragon? This is a lot to take in, really." He decided to give her another question. "And there are other people who can use other types of magic like you, huh?"

Wendy chuckled at his question. "Indeed. Many can use magic as well. In fact, many different guilds have been set up because of it." To give her proof of evidence, she removed her jacket and pointed it at her right shoulder. Gideon looked closer and saw a dark blue mark on it. "I'm part of the Guild called Fairy Tail." She smiled at that name. "It's just one of the many in Fiore. There are others like mine. Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus, Quatro Cerberus, Mermaid Heel, Sabertooth. But those are the legal guilds. Dark guilds also don't follow the Magic Council's rule and do anything for money."

The Other Hunter blew a raspberry when hearing this detailed information. Then again, it didn't bother him. "Ah. So it's just like any other organization?" Now is an appropriate time to ask a burning question. "That's a lot of good information you're giving me, but how did someone like you end up in Yharnam in the first place?"

Hearing this question made the young dragon slayer hesitant before she responded. "Well, it has been three months since a friend of mine, Chelia, lost her magic powers, and I was doing my best to find a way she could use it in a small amount. It was during the night when I was in the library and didn't find anything when Chelia and my other friend, Carla, arrived to pick me up. We were about to leave when I heard the book falling from one of the shelves. I went to where it came from and saw that it was a book I wasn't familiar with. A strange symbol was on the cover in crimson red. It was a line at the center of the black book cover, along with two symmetrical semi-circles and, in the middle, shaped like a diamond. It caught my curiosity, and I flicked through the book until I saw instructions on summoning a being that grants wishes."

What she said next was still fresh in her memories. "After seeing the instructions, I went to the outskirts of town with Chelia and Carla accompanying me. I drew the same symbol on the ground and dropped a little blood on it, as required for the summon to work. My blood, in fact. But when I completed the ritual, nothing happened. It was then I realized that it never worked. I was about to leave with my two friends...when..." Her eyes gave the look of being frightened.

Gideon noticed this and wondered why she had that look in the eye. "Kid, is there...something wrong?"

"I'm fine," She dismissed with concern as she continued her story. "As we were going to leave, the moon got closer and turned red. I'm only going to say this to you, Mr Gideon. I saw a horrible creature descending. It had a lot of tentacles coming out from its head and tail...spine and ribs for its body...and...a hole for its face. I was scared as I had never seen a summon so eerie. It landed near where I stood. I wanted to run, but I was overtaken by fear. It grabbed me and knocked both of my friends when they attempted to rescue me. I tried to help, yet the creature had knocked me out cold. The next thing I remember was when I woke up in a clinic, which is how I ended up in Yharnam."

Gideon now understood how Wendy had ended in Yharnam in the first place. The only question that remained was what that being she described wanted. Right before doing so, someone beat him to it. "Well, that was a fascinating story you had, Young Hunter." Both turned to where it came from and saw Gehrman, who appeared out of nowhere.

"Mr Gehrman?!" Wendy said in shock.

The old man chuckled at her reaction. "Well, now. You seemed to be spooked by my sudden arrival?"

"We were having just a talk," Gideon informed him.

"I know, Good Hunter. It is what Hunters do. Venting out their frustration to keep their minds intact is always a good thing," The Veteran Hunter told him. His joyful expression turned to concern as he leaned closer to the two. "The both of you should be careful what you're saying. Its eyes are everywhere...it's Presence... not only in this terrible Hunter's Dream..." Hearing this deeply concerned statement caused Wendfy to have that flash of that Moon Creature in her head. She had no idea that Gehrman would have possibly known of the existence of that specific creature. If what he said was true, the Moon Creature could be another person from her world. Who knows what capabilities the anomaly had.

"Oi, kiddo!" She heard the Good Hunter calling her name. She looked to see him wearing the mouth-cloth mask and tattered Tricone again. It seemed like he was heading to go somewhere. "I'll be heading out to get some other items first. It's probably best if you stay here until I come back. Is that okay?"

The Young Dragon Slayer figured she needed to be more precisely well after pulling that stunt in the Cathedral. She smiled at him. "It's okay." With that, Gideon went to the exact Tombstone from previously. As the purple light brightened, he soon disappeared.

Feeling significantly better, she had a new goal from now on. Although Yharnam and whatever is going to throw her will be frightening, she is determined to get through the horrors that will be unfolded to confront that creature so she can go home and meet all of her friends again.

The Fairy Tail Guild, Carla, Chelia...

Those thoughts caused her to tighten her hands and look at the night sky. "Don't worry, Chelia and Carla. I will leave this place and return home to see your faces again." Although she wanted to start now, she knew it wasn't the right time.

She can rest until she is called to hunt once again.

Finally. Three chapters of Fairyborne done in a month! I can finally focus on Dark Souls: Embers of Remnant until a certain Arc is finished.

Have you been enjoying the story so far? What kind of bosses you cannot wait for Wendy and the Good Hunter to face? I simply cannot wait to do a Story Arc that some of you may know. But please, tell me what it is and give your ideas to me. I'll be giving credit to you.'

With that, I will see you all in the next chapter…whenever it will come.
