Chapter 52
As we invite Professor Kukui and our classmates to the Ice Manor located on Mt. Lanakila, everyone is excited to see a variety of Ice Pokémon alongside us.
While we traverse the area, our attention is drawn to a colossal crater ahead of us. "Is that a giant crater?" Lillie asks, her voice tinged with confusion, echoing the surprise shared among us at the unexpected sight.
As we descend into the crater, a startling sight greets us: Necrozma, once formidable and powerful, now lies battered and broken, drained of its usual strength. I can't help but gasp, "It's Necrozma..."
Rosa voices the shared astonishment, "You mean the one you fought back in the Ultra Metropolis? What is it doing here?"
Recalling Dulse and Captain Phyco's earlier words about the Z Rings sharing a similar light to Necrozma's, Lillie and I exchange a knowing glance, understanding dawning between us. Without hesitation, we nod at each other, both of us activating our Z Rings in unison, channeling their healing energy toward the weakened Necrozma.
As Necrozma stirs and slowly opens its eyes, a faint whisper emanates from the legendary Pokémon, "Why... why did you help me?"
Understanding the gravity of the situation and moved by the Pokémon's vulnerability, I step forward, expressing our rationale, "We couldn't just leave you in this state. We wanted to help."
Lillie adds, "You're part of Alola too. We couldn't ignore your suffering."
With a steady gaze fixed upon us, Necrozma acknowledges our efforts before gathering its energy once more. In a resolute tone, the legendary Pokémon addresses us, "You were the ones who restored my health back to normal. With that, I thank you."
Grateful for our assistance in revitalizing its strength, Necrozma expresses its gratitude, a moment that underscores the significance of our actions in aiding the legendary Pokémon. The heartfelt thanks from such a powerful entity resonate deeply with us, reaffirming the importance of compassion and assistance, regardless of the recipient's stature or identity.
In a moment of unity and support, both Lunala and Nebby emerge from their Poké Balls, offering their own energy to aid Necrozma. With a shared purpose, they channel their power, lending their support to the weakened legendary Pokémon, allowing it to regain its strength and lift itself into the air slowly.
With a heartfelt sense of gratitude for the assistance provided by everyone present, Necrozma expresses its desire to join our team. Understanding the significance of the bond formed through this shared experience and the mutual aid exchanged, the legendary Pokémon reveals its wish to become a part of our team, seeking to embark on a new journey alongside us.
Using a Master Ball, an incredibly rare and immensely powerful Poké Ball, we make the decision to capture Necrozma without any resistance. The Master Ball's unmatched capability ensures the legendary Pokémon's capture without a struggle, sealing the partnership between Necrozma and our team in an instant.
Necrozma: The Prism Pokemon: Psychic Type. Reminiscent of the Ultra Beasts, this life-form, apparently asleep underground, is thought to have come from another world in ancient times.
"Capturing Necrozma, that's amazing," Mallow remarks, impressed by the swift success.
"Yeah..." I respond, my attention drawn to an object on the ground. "That's... Ultranecrozium Z..."
As we retrieve the Ultranecrozium Z Crystal and secure it in my pocket, a voice suddenly resonates through the air. "Splendid!" echoes Dr. Colress' distinctive voice, catching us by surprise.
"Uncle Colress?" Lillie gasps in surprise, recognizing the familiar voice.
"It's been a while. You must be formidable Trainers indeed if you are able to get Necrozma as one of your allies," Colress acknowledges, commending our achievement. "Good! And this is from me!" he continues, unveiling a device in his possession. "The Ultra Recon Squad asked me to develop a device that would be able to control Necrozma. But I improved it to my own liking! And now it is a device that makes it possible to draw out even more power from Necrozma! Yes, in short, it makes it possible for Necrozma to fuse with the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo! This is the Colress Machine No. 1198, officially dubbed the N-Solarizer!"
We gratefully accept the N-Solarizer from Colress, acknowledging its potential in enhancing Necrozma's power and facilitating its fusion with Solgaleo. However, Colress surprises us further by revealing another device in his possession.
"In addition," Colress continues, presenting another device, "this is the Colress Machine No. 1199, officially dubbed the N-Lunarizer! It makes it possible for Necrozma to fuse with the Legendary Pokémon, Lunala!"
In a moment of astonishment, we receive the N-Lunarizer, realizing the magnitude of possibilities now available to us with both the N-Solarizer and the N-Lunarizer.
"Ah yes. I have heard, in fact, that you first met Solgaleo—no, its pre-evolved form, Cosmog—upon Mahalo Trail," Colress reflects, acknowledging our previous encounter with Cosmog. "I believe that Trainers like you will be able to use both Alola's Legendary Pokémon and the fearsome power of Necrozma properly! I happen to know quite a bit about Pokémon fusion myself... But that is a different tale. Good luck in your battles!"
With those parting words, Colress bids us farewell, leaving us to contemplate the significant knowledge and tools he has bestowed upon us. Grateful for his guidance and the extraordinary devices received, we express our thanks before watching him depart.
Exploring further within Mt. Lanakila, Lillie and I stumble upon a cave where a Drampa is nestled. Intrigued by the discovery, we decide to add this Pokémon to our Pokédex collection. Understanding that Crabrawler evolves into Crabominable in this location, we strategize to capture Drampa with the assistance of our Crabrawler.
Carefully planning our approach, we utilize Crabrawler's strengths to aid in capturing Drampa, taking advantage of the environment that triggers Crabrawler's evolution. With a focused strategy in mind, we aim to successfully add Drampa to our team while creating the optimal conditions for Crabrawler's evolution into Crabominable.
Crabominable: The Woolly Crab Pokemon: Fighting and Ice Type. Evolve from Crabrawler when leveled up at Mount Lanakila or Ice Stone. It aimed for the top but got lost and ended up on a snowy mountain. Being forced to endure the cold, this Pokémon evolved and grew fur.
Drampa: The Placid Pokemon: Normal and Dragon Type. This Pokémon is friendly to people and loves children most of all. It comes from deep in the mountains to play with children it likes in town.
Amidst the chaos caused by Turtonator's Shell Trap exploding, the group finds themselves inadvertently separated. Concerned about everyone's safety, I quickly inquire, "Is everyone okay?"
"We're doing fine, but it looks like we've been split up," Sophocles responds, noting the unexpected turn of events that resulted in our separation.
As we fervently search for the missing members of our group, we encounter an angry Raticate that begins to chase us. Reacting quickly, we deploy Alolan Sandshrew to assist in evading the pursuit. However, our escape is interrupted when we stumble upon an unusual sight – a pack of Vulpix and Sandshrew. Among them stand two distinctly larger specimens, a Ninetales and a Sandslash.
The surprising difference in size catches our attention, as both the Ninetales and Sandslash appear significantly larger than their usual counterparts. As the Ninetales inquires about our presence, I calmly explain our situation, stating, "We're lost and trying to reunite with our friends."
Mallow, quick to diffuse any tension, offers some cookies to the Alolan Pokémon, which they seem to enjoy. The atmosphere lightens as Sandshrew and Snowy, our Alolan Sandshrew and Vulpix, engage in playful interactions with the other Pokémon.
Curiosity piqued, I venture a question, "I wonder... are you two perhaps the Totem Pokémon?"
Confusion arises as the Ninetales and Sandslash express unfamiliarity with the term "Totem Pokémon." Before we can delve deeper into the conversation, a strange sound interrupts us, prompting our group to investigate the source of the disturbance.
Arriving at an ice castle, our group witnesses a dire scene - a Tyranitar aggressively attacking the Sandshrew and Vulpix that had previously engaged with us. It becomes evident that this location serves as a meeting point for the Alolan Sandshrew and Vulpix, and the Tyranitar appears to have inadvertently intruded upon this gathering, causing distress among the smaller Pokémon.
Recognizing the misunderstanding, it dawns on us that the Tyranitar must have inadvertently wandered into this area, unaware that it was a meeting ground for the Alolan Pokémon.
Faced with the escalating conflict between the Ninetales, Sandslash, and the aggressive Tyranitar, the battle intensifies as the powerful Rock-type moves wreak havoc upon the surroundings. The Tyranitar's relentless assaults, utilizing moves such as Rock Slide and Stone Edge, pose a considerable threat, causing significant destruction to the ice castle and putting the Alolan Pokémon in jeopardy.
In a split-second decision, amidst the chaos of the collapsing ceiling, Lillie and I instinctively push Snowy the Vulpix and Sandshrew out of harm's way, risking our own safety in the process. Our actions shield the Pokémon from the impending danger but result in us becoming separated from Pikachu and the rest of our companions.
As the dust settles and the immediate danger passes, concerned voices call out to us. "Ash! Lillie!" Sophocles anxiously inquires.
Mallow, equally concerned, asks, "Are you okay?"
"We're fine," I quickly respond, reassuring our friends of our safety despite the unforeseen separation caused by our impromptu act of protection.
Lillie asserts, "We need to assist the Sandslash and the Ninetales."
"You're right. Snowy, Sandshrew, lend your strength to them," I prompt.
As the rest of our group endeavors to breach the ice barrier hindering our reunion with the others, Lillie and I encourage Sandshrew and Vulpix to collaborate with the Ninetales and Sandslash. Through combined efforts, the Pokémon execute coordinated moves, employing Hail and Aurora Veil techniques that heal and shield all the Alolan Pokémon present. When Tyranitar targets our Pokémon with an attack, the protective shield of the Aurora Veil deflects the assault.
"Snowy, Blizzard!" "Sandshrew, Gyro Ball!" We command our Pokémon into action, while the Ninetales and Sandslash complement the offensive with Dazzling Gleam and Metal Claw attacks. This combined assault forces the Tyranitar to retreat, fleeing from the formidable display of teamwork and strength exhibited by our Pokémon allies.
"We did it," I exclaim in relief and elation as Trenor and the rest of our companions join us, celebrating our victory. Amidst the jubilation, Sandslash approaches Snowy and Sandshrew, offering them two Ice Stones. A moment of anticipation fills the air as the two Pokémon gaze at the stones before a transformation begins.
"Snowy... Sandshrew..." Lillie and I gasp in amazement as the two Pokémon undergo a mesmerizing evolution, revealing their new forms as Ninetales and Sandslash.
Sandslash (Alolan Form): The Mouse Pokemon: Ice and Steel Type. Evolve from Alolan Sandshrew with Ice Stone. This Pokémon's steel spikes are sheathed in ice. Stabs from these spikes cause deep wounds and severe frostbite as well.
Ninetales (Alolan Form): The Fox Pokemon: Ice and Fairy Type. Evolve from Alolan Vulpix with Ice Stone. Possessing a calm demeanor, this Pokémon was revered as a deity incarnate before it was identified as a regional variant of Ninetales.
The Totem Alolan Ninetales surprises us by presenting two Icium Z-Crystals, an unexpected and generous gift. Our astonishment grows as we hadn't anticipated receiving these valuable Z-Crystals at this moment in our adventure. Additionally, the Sandslash graciously demonstrates the unique Z-Move dance associated with the Icium-Z.
As it moves its arms into an X-shape, then spreads them wide, followed by a clap together. Observing the elegant movements, we're eager to master this newfound Z-Move technique, appreciative of the totems' guidance and the unexpected gifts it has bestowed upon us.
As we bid farewell to the Totem Alolan Ninetales and the other Alolan Pokémon, we reunite with the rest of our companions. Excitedly, we showcase the newly acquired Icium-Z Crystals to them, and their expressions shift to awe and amazement at the sight.
Our companions are taken aback by the unexpected acquisition of the Icium-Z Crystals and the fascinating story behind obtaining them. With the day's events behind us and the Icium-Z Crystals safely in our possession, we make the collective decision to return to the Ice Manor for a well-deserved rest.
Here is a new chapter, and I decide to put the Mt. Lanakila part right here because there are a lot of plans that I'm going to do for the future chapters. I hope you like this chapter.
